2. Cinematography
• Scene 1- The boy walking down the street. He then sees the ‘ smiling
man’ walking towards him .During this part of the scene, the camera
zooms in on the males face capturing the moment he sees the smiling
man. Then there is over the shoulder camera shot where the smiling
man is introduced.
• Doing this shows the Horror genre within the short film.
4. Mise En Scene:
• Scene 1- The paths and roads are abandoned, representing the
setting and how there is only the male and the smiling man outside.
There is a sense of the unknown throughout the scene due to it being
quiet and dark.
6. Cinematography:
• Scene 4- The smiling man is now after the male. The male believes he
is safe when the smiling man walks the other way. However it all
changes when the smiling man turns round and goes after him.
• The camera shot is now fast paced to represent the climax to the
short film.
8. Mise En Scene:
• Scene 4- Dramatic music is added to show the horror genre. The man
thinks he has lost the smiling man and starts to feel relieved. However
the smiling man appears in front of him.
• This is when the short film ends and is left on a cliff-hanger.
