2. Cinematography:
• Scene 4- The 2 main characters are walking into an anbandoned shop
that zombies have took over. During this scene the camera zooms
away from the characters walking into the shop.
4. Mise En scene:
• Scene 4- The 2 Main characters have already been introduced
Colmbus and Tallahesse. This scene is set in an anbandoned shop
that has cleary been taken over by zombies that have moved on. The
messed up shop is representing the horror genre.
• Columbus and Tallahassee are carrying weapons throughout the store
in case any zombies are still in the store.
• The store is messy and has abandoned shopping bags and carts due
to the invasion.
6. Cinematography:
• Scene 5- The other 2 main characters are starting to make an
appearance. (Wichita and Little rock)
• Within this scene, there is an other the shoulder camera shot of
Columbus reaction to seeing the girls in the store.
• The camera then changes to a zoom of the new characters and all
the characters first meeting.
8. Mise en scene:
• Scene 5- The other 2 main characters start to make an appearance.
• The scene also takes a funny turn from the be little sister pretending
to sick to then the two sisters black mailing Columbus and Tallahassee
and taking their guns.
• The setting has now changed to the back of the shop, it is dark and is
a great hiding spot from any zombies left.
10. Sound throughtout Zombie Land
• During the film, there is non-diagetic sound of the protagonist’s voice
over, as well as the background music which mainly consists of heavy
metal genre music.
• This matches the zombie horror genre presented in the film.
• There are also sound effects in the film when any of the characters
are shooting or fighting against the zombies. This creates action
within the film.
• When a action scene is on, there is a change of music and speed.
11. Editing:
• During these two scenes, there is a range of different editing
techniques and camera angles.
• Scene 4- There are sound effects added when the zombies appear.
Just before this scene, Columbus talks about how to survive zombies
and the rules he talks about comes on the screen. There are medium
shots and long shots within this scene.
• Scene 5- Sound is also added when the two sisters change and
blackmails. There are different camera angles such as over the
shoulder and long shots of the new characters.
14. Performance:
• The performance from all the characters represents the horror genre,
from the weapons to the violence.
• The performance from each character represents the comedy and the
horror genre mixed together. There are some funny jump scares and
then some more serious horror moments.
