Evaluation:
Logistics:
This piece of work is where I will be analysing what went well in my production which is
known as ‘Leader’.
Managing people:
As I was creating my production, I also needed to make sure I had an efficient way of
managing the people and the actors who needed to be on set. For this, I used call sheets. I
used call sheets as they organises and tells the actors which day they need to be on time
and which set they need to be on. By having call sheets, it is allowing me and the producers
to meet the deadlines I set and are also allowing the cast to be organised and prepared for
when they are filming.
Call sheets were an important part for my production as I could stay on time and still
efficient at the same time. Also it allows me to save time overall and for me to sort out any
issues if they occurred and that everyone who is involved is safe and the sets are
appropriate for the scenes shooting.
Management of Resources:
When I was producing my film, I needed to make sure I was using all resources to the high
standard and that no resources was wasted. For my production, the best way for me to be
efficient was to use equipment booking forms. These forms allows me to keep track of the
equipment we needed and what days we had the equipment. By using these forms, it meant
no time would be wasted and there is a record of all equipment that was needed.
Equipment booking forms were very useful for my production. This is because the help
reduce any potential issues and everyone was organised and equipment couldn’t be used
anywhere else. By having the equipment booking forms, it meant the production could go a
lot smoother and the stress was reduced.
Managing time:
Managing time is a key part of the pre-production process. A key part of this was using a
production schedule. This is vital to ensure the production time is used the best it can and
no time is wasted. All information would be on a production schedule and it allowed me to
know how much time each shot would take.
This is also important because it is ensuring everything in the production is running on time
and that all deadlines can be met. This also allows everyone else on set to stay organised
and prepared for what is being shot on different days.

Being professional:
This is also an important part of the process because it makes sure everyone is staying
professional and not messing about so shots can be shot quicker and nobody is messing
about or wasting time. By being professional it is allowing much a smoother process.
This can also link to all documentation because it is keeping everything legal and safe for
everyone who is involved. By doing this all filming is legal and safe.
Ensuring process:
This process is important because it is making sure all documentation is correct and legal.
This can include anything from, equipment, cast, resources and any other resources that
contribute to the success of the production. This will also allow me to improve any
document or update the documents if needed.
By ensuring this, I made sure everyone was keeping to the schedule so deadlines are met
and that no time is being wasted. Also I checked each shot after it was filmed in case it
needed to be redone so it can fit the film well.
Managing risk:
This is a vital part of the whole process. Managing risk ensures that everyone is safe when
filming and no possible risks can take place. Also as the manager/ creator, I made sure that
all actors and producers were aware if anything was a potential risk.
However, I used a risk assessment form to make sure that all sets were safe and that no bad
harm could be made to anyone throughout this process. Also to avoid any crisis, I made sure
there were extra batteries for the camera and making sure all footage was backed up in case
any issues occurred with it.
Up to date documentation:
When making my production, I made sure that all documentation was up to date and kept
organised. By doing this, I was ensuring that all cast and production team was up to date
with the documents so everyone knows what needs to happen and what has already
happened. This is allowing no time to be wasted throughout.
This is important for my production as it is providing me with a guideline with what is done
and what needs to be done and edited.

Finance:
During this part of my work, I will be talking about what went well during the financial side
of my film ‘Leader’.
Managing people:
As I was creating my production, I also needed to make sure I had an efficient way of
managing the people and the actors who needed to be on set. However, I also needed to
make sure that I had a budget plan. By having a budget plan it is allowing me to not
overspend and make sure I’m not wasting any money.
This was important for my film because it allowed me to budget the money for what I
needed for the film and no money was being wasted or misused. By doing this, it also meant
there were no unexpected costs popping up which is further allowing me to work on the
film instead of worrying about the costs.
Management of Resources:
This also links to managing people.

Managing time:
Managing time is a key part of the pre-production process. A key part of this was using a
production schedule. By managing time, it is allowing me to plan further ahead which is also
minimising the risk and keeping everyone on track. This is also why deadlines are put in
place so time is wasted.
This is important because the less time that is wasted it also means the less money is
wasted which is a key factor in the production schedule.
Being professional:
This is also an important part of the process because it makes sure everyone is staying
professional and not messing about so shots can be shot quicker and nobody is messing
about or wasting time. Also this means that only spending the budget on things that the film
needs.
For my production, I made sure I spent money on props, equipment and crew whilst making
sure there is plenty of the money is left.

Ensuring process:
This process is important because it is making sure all documentation is correct and legal.
This can include anything from, equipment, cast, resources and any other resources that
contribute to the success of the production. By making sure all processes are done, it also
means no financial expenses come in before filming start takes place. This can also include
health and safety and risks assessments.
Managing risk:
This is a vital part of the whole process. Managing risk ensures that everyone is safe when
filming and no possible risks can take place. Also as the manager/ creator, I made sure that
all actors and producers were aware if anything was a potential risk. However if there was a
potential risk can also meaning spending money out of the budget.

Creative process:
In this part of my work, I will be talking about the creative process and how it has been a
part of my pre production process and my film ‘Leader’.
Managing people:
As I was creating my production, I also needed to make sure I had an efficient way of
managing the people and the actors who needed to be on set. However, I also needed to
make sure that I had a budget plan. I must also need to take the creative process into
consideration.
During this, before I could film any of the actors, I made sure they signed a contributors’
relase form which means I had their consent and meant they couldn’t take legal action of
me filming them. By doing this, I was saving money and time.

Management of Resources:
This also links to managing people. Within the creative process, this includes looking at the
different forms of the pre production and seeing what we needed for shooting and what
needed to be achieved.
This can include storyboards, script and up to date documentation. Also, this meant I was
organised throughout the whole process.
Managing time:
Managing time is a key part of the pre-production process. A key part of this was using a

and up to date. By managing time, it is allowing me to plan further ahead which is also
minimising the risk and keeping everyone on track. This is also why deadlines are put in
place so time is wasted.
The schedule was created so every part of the filming is organised and used in the best
possible way. This is important because the less time that is wasted it also means the less
money is wasted which is a key factor in the production schedule.
Being professional:
This is also an important part of the process because it makes sure everyone is staying
professional and not messing about so shots can be shot quicker and nobody is messing
about or wasting time. Also this means that it is following the rules and regulations as well
as communicating with the people who are involved.
For my production, I made sure the creative process was used throughout the production
schedule and ensuring the process is smooth.
Ensuring process:
This process is important because it is making sure all documentation is correct and legal.
This can include anything from, equipment, cast, resources and any other resources that
contribute to the success of the production. It also means having targets set throughout so
progress can be made and things can be changed if needed.
Managing risk:
This is a vital part of the whole process. Managing risk ensures that everyone is safe when
filming and no possible risks can take place. Also as the manager/ creator, I made sure that

location Reece and booking forms.
Improvement:
In this part, I will talk about what I could improve and what I would do in the future if
needed.
Logistics:
Some issues that occurred when filming is the weather and finding a day that everyone
could do which was scheduled. If any other issues came up in the day, I made sure that
another time was available so the scenes that needed to be done would be done in time. I
made sure that everyone was being professional throughout. If I did it again, I would make
sure there was always a backup plan.
Finance:
After looking back at the whole process, I needed to make sure all shots were up to a high
standard and no errors were made. However some shots needed reshooting because of
lighting or weather issues. If I would to do this again, I would make sure that lighting is
correct in all shots to avoid any reshoots.
Creative Process:
As I started the process, I did end up changing some ideas as I felt it would suit the storyline
I was going with if I changed the idea around. However if I did do to it again, I would make
sure the idea was finalised before hand to save time in the process.
