Target Audience
 Our target audience are people aged from 16-35. I conducted a survey to find out people’s views
and opinions which would shape the characters and some themes within the sequence.
 The previous slide shows the questions asked about the main character. The responses showed that
the main character has a big impact on the film, so we wanted the main character to be liked and
relatable to the target audience. Sonny is 17 and we thought his age makes him relatable to the
target audience.
It was found that the ethnicity of the character made no difference to
people’s opinions of the sequence so we did not need to take into
consideration the ethnicity of the main character.
The gender of the main character also made no difference to
the audience’s opinions, meaning the target audience are
both male and female.
The results show the majority of respondents thought men
were mostly main characters and a third thought that men
and women were equally main characters. However, only a
minority of respondents said that women were mainly the
main character so we decided to use a male as our main.
This was an interesting question, as the majority answered
ye
s, we thought it was crucial for our character to be within
the target
