1. AUDIENCE PROFILE This presentation explores the chosen audience targeted for my short film coursework.
2. Certificate rating After much discussion my group and I came to the conclusion we should rate our short film a certificate 15 as it is set to involve elements of violence and scenes of a mild sexual nature and requires a mature understanding.
3. Target audience Our target audience ultimately targets those from 15 years, as there are many elements within the short film that can be seen as ‘influential’ for those below this age group with an immature mind-set.
4. relationships Relationships and love is a strong theme throughout our film. Protagonists show love in an open way however, taking our target audience into account, elements of sexual desire are kept to a relevant standard.
5. violence As murder is strongly present and also reflected in the title ‘Death On Tuesday’ it was essential our target audience was of an age mature enough to have some insight and knowledge to not mimic the scenes and acts of both physical and emotional violence.
7. Female insight Chenice is a 17 year old girl currently attending sixth form college. She believes a film like ‘Death On Tuesday’ would appeal to her because the protagonists are of a similar age group to her own and the story line is gripping.

10. Male audience Tevyn is a 15 year old boy in year 10 in Secondary School. He often goes to the cinema with friends and believes ‘Death On Tuesday’ will appeal to him because of the ‘Jumpy violent scenes’ and the elements of female sexual desire.

12. findings Reviewing my research it has become apparent that our short film will appeal to both a male and female audience of our chosen age group. Those aged 15years and older are mature enough to handle the presence of subtle sex and violence within a film, which proves we have picked an appropriate age group, both mature enough to handle the content of our film and to follow the story-line.
