reading magazines so it is now even more important for the
magazines to be eye catching and interesting with articles people
will find no where else with freebies, posters and exclusive

WHAT I HAVE FOUND FROM MY
RESEARCH:
From my data I have found that people now days are very rarely reading magazines so
it is now even more important for the magazines to be eye catching and interesting
with articles people will find no where else with freebies, posters and exclusive
interviews. This is due to people only picking something out when it 'particularly
catches *their* eye'. We see this tend also throughout all of the generations in my
sample. I will create a readership by having photos and famous people the audience
likes on the front cover and within the magazine itself. From my research I have found
most people would like to see alternative music specialising in punk, pop punk and
punk rock styles. That is why for my magazine I will ask the band 'iamhungry' to
feature within. On my front cover I will include a little text that will speak interest but
not overwhelm the reader. As has been expressed by my research group.

  • 2. HOW OLD ARE YOU? FIRST QUESTION From this data you can see almost 40% of the responses were from 16-18 year olds. This is then followed by the over 50s showing my responses will be either very teen based or follow the OAP standard of answers.
  • 3. WHAT IS YOUR GENDER? SECOND QUESTION FROM THIS INFORMATION WE CAN SEE THAT WE HAVE ALMOST 1/2 MEN AND 1/2 WOMEN THAT TOOK PART IN THIS SURVEY. THIS TELLS US THAT OUR RESPONSES MAY BE VERY GENDER NEUTRAL AND EVENLY SPREAD.

THIRD QUESTION From my data I have found that people now days are very rarely reading magazines so it is now even more important for the magazines to be eye catching and interesting with articles people will find no where else with freebies, posters and exclusive interviews. This is due to people only picking something out when it 'particularly catches *their* eye'.
