2. INTRO
• Hi my name is Elizabeth this is my last semester at Grayson I will be attending
TWU in the Spring.
• My major is Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher.
3. MOTIVATION
• The way our government is being managed.
• Not happy with decisions made with the DACA program.
• To try to better the way our government is ruled.
• Make a difference make my vote count.
4. THINGS LEARNED
• I learned more about how the law enforcement works. DPS
• Texas Agriculture the way how oil transformed the agriculture business.
• The moralistic subculture I would have liked to learn more about this subculture
in depth.
• What was most interesting was the death penalty and the study of it.
5. DEATH PENALTY
• This issue in Texas has always been seen. Texas is on the top ten of executions
that happen every year. Yet Texas is one of the top states that supports this law.
However this issue will always be a hard subject that will be carry out. For the
future the subject will be one that for generations to come it can change or
continue to be the same.
6. TEXAS INFLUENCE
• I believe that Texas is one of the most influential states when it comes to the
federal government.
• Texas is one of the states that gets together to form the influence that will be
brought to the federal government.
• If we look back we can see that Texas is one of the states with rules that some
other states don’t have which are harsh.
7. LESSONS LEARNED
• To start out with lesson that I will carry with me would be the 10 amendment
addresses the divisions of powers between the U.S states. It all started out with
Shay’s Rebellion. The different issues like the Brown vs. Board.
• Another lesson that I will carry on is the one over the Missouri plan and how it
was put into practice in the 1940s. Which this plan allowed governor to appoint
judges from the one that summitted there request and where to be approved.
• Overall the lesson that was the most interesting was the one over the Death
Penalty and the ability to do more research on it and write the paper as well.
