2. STATUS AND RESPONISBILITIES OF PROPHETﷺ
ْدَقَلِهِسُفْنَأ ْنِم اوًلُسَر ْمِيهِف َثَعَب ْذِإ َينِنِمْؤُمْلا ىَلَع ُ َّاَّلل َّنَمُيَو ْمِيهِكَزُيَو ِهِتاَيآ ْمِهْيَلَع وُلْتَي ْمُهُمِلَعَابَتِكْلا ُم
ٍينِبُم ٍل ََلَض يِفَل ُلْبَق ْنِم واُناَك ْنِإَو َةَمْك ِحْلاَو(164)
• 164. Allah did confer a great favor on the believers when He sent among them a
messenger from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the Signs of Allah,
Sanctifying them, and instructing them in Scripture and Wisdom, while, before
That, they had been in manifest error. (Al e Imran)
َعُم ىِنَثَعَب ْنِكَلَو ااتِنَعَتُم ًَلَو ااتِنَعُم ىِنْثَعْبَي ْمَل َ َّاَّلل َّنِإاارِسَيُم اامِل
• Allah did not send me to be harsh, or cause harm, but He has sent me to teach
and make things easy. (Muslim)
3. َانِ َّاَّلل ُلوُسَر-وسلم عليه هللا صلى-ِف ِهِباَحْصَأ ْنِم اادَحَأ َثَعَب اَذِإَلاَق ِه ِرْمَأ ِضْعَب ىواُرِشَبًَلَو
واُرِسَعُت ًَلَو واُرِسَيَو واُرِفَنُت
• Narrated Abu Masa that when the Messenger of Allah ()ﷺ deputed
any of his Companions on a mission, he would say:
Give tidings (to the people) ; do not create (in their minds) aversion
(towards religion) ; show them leniency and do not be hard upon them.
4. •The Prophet ()ﷺ had a great passion and grief (pain) for
educating people
•Prophet ()ﷺ used to educate at every suitable time and place
and every type of people of society
•Prophet ()ﷺ has educated and mentored men, women,
youngsters, kids, villagers, new Muslims, Friends..
•Prophet ()ﷺ used to benefit from every chance of educating
5. • Prophet ()ﷺ used to manage and gain whole and sole attention of students, He
used to face them and commanded them to give attention towards him
• Prophet ()ﷺ used to put his efforts to create happiness in the hearts of students
and created an environment to create love and affection between them.
• So Prophet ()ﷺ used to greet / welcome them, used to call them with names and
‘kunyat’ ( A way of showing love, affection and honor in Arabian Culture)
• Sometimes Prophet ()ﷺ placed his hands on their shoulders, hands and
sometimes used to hit them with foot affectionately and prayed for them
6. • The Prophet (ﷺ) used to manage that his talk is understood
completely, purpose is cleared and talked matter has entered into
hearts and minds
• So he (ﷺ) used to utter words clearly separated from eachother
• Prophet (ﷺ) used to repeat things some times even more than three
times, even seven times is also reported
• He ()ﷺ used signals and symbols and used different shapes and forms
to make his matter properly understood
• He ()ﷺ explained facts with examples
7. • He ()ﷺ used methodology of comparison to clarify the difference
between different and contrary principles
• Prophet (ﷺ) used to count while teaching to make it reach their hearts
• Prophet (ﷺ) is the perfect live walking model of teachings imparted by
his tongue
• The deeds of ‘Shariah’ he ()ﷺ used to picturize by words and then
showed his ()ﷺ practical demonstration of taught material
• The students weren’t left with any hesitation, confusion or difficulty in
performing after they were taught
8. • Prophet (ﷺ) often used the Inquisitive style (Istafham) and used to ask
about intellectual things from them
• Prophet (ﷺ) used unclear words (signals) to teach something worth
infamy
• But while establishing the legal rulings talked openly and clearly
• He ()ﷺ allowed students to ask questions, used to praise good
questions, encouraged the questionnaire, some times used to answer
more than asked
• Sometimes used metaphors, similes, estimations on similar things
(Qiyas)
9. • He (ﷺ) stayed quiet if question was not known to him waiting for
revelation
• However he ()ﷺ used to get annoyed on vain issues and things
producing difficulty for him or others
• He ()ﷺ had granted his students the permission to do discussion,
debate and question answers
• He ()ﷺ had commanded his companions / students to remind him if he
forgets things
• Sometimes he ()ﷺ allowed able students to teach others in his
presence
• He ()ﷺ listened to assigned chapter from students on his desire
10. •He ()ﷺ used to behave even humbly ( Mutawazu), softly and
kindly with his students
•He ()ﷺ used to pay more attention to the needs of his students
compared to his own household requirements
•However he ()ﷺ used to get unhappy and angry on an
unexpected error or lack of understanding of some matter by
someone who is intellectually able
11. •He ()ﷺ was very well aware of abilities of his students
•He ()ﷺ used to take into consideration the circumstances of
students while teaching, educating or mentoring
•He ()ﷺ used to observe the effects and influences of his words
and actions on their expressions and used to explain the
required thing at the time of need
•He ()ﷺ used to ask about the absent students and
compensated the reasons at his utmost of their absence
12. •He ()ﷺ was the teacher who provided ease and comfort while
teaching (Quality and Quantity)
•He ()ﷺ didn’t set any obligatory level or limit in teaching rather
he used to instigate every one to learn according to his capacity
