The document describes several experiments conducted with Photoshop and Premier Pro to develop skills for a final product. Key elements that will be included are using a 1200 width Photoshop canvas to design backgrounds, the tween feature to create movement, hiding and showing parts of a character to animate walking, using the pencil tool to improve designs, and adding audio created in Beepbox and edited in Premier Pro.
2. Process
• The first design I made was to make something flash. This was very easy to do, first of all I added a layer
and designed a simple circle. After that I added an extra slide on the timeline and removed the circle. After
that I selected ”forever” and selected play.
3. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
• The only element of this experiment I will use in my FP is the “Forever” tool for my loading screen. This
will help for the background moving. I am unsure what my background will be but using the “Forever” tool
will be highly benefital for me.
4. Process
• Next up I designed a car moving along on a road. For this I had to start a new photo shop with 10x more
width so theoretically it is 10 frames. I designed a simple background with a road and trees. After this I
copied and past it in a new Photoshop with the originally width. From here I started the first frame of the
time line from the beginning of the 10x width photo and the 2nd frame was the end of the 10x width
photo. After that I simply pressed Tweened and added the next 30 slides.

• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– I will use 2 features I used in this experiment in my FP, this includes the 1200 width Photoshop
design and the tween feature. The 1200 width design will be essential to my FP as I can design a
background for my game using this. The tween feature will help me implement a movement from
the character/object the user is controlling. So is also highly essential to my FP.
6. Process
• I next designed a person walking in a corridor. I used the same concept as the car design as the 10x
Photoshop. For the 10x for this one I designed doors, water fountains and photos. After that I transported
all that into a new Photoshop and added to the timeline. After that I designed a person and hide one of his
shoes then re appeared it and repeated that process until frames were complete.
7. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
• This is very similar to the last process, however there is one feature that I used in the this experiment that
I didn't’t use in the last that I might use in my FP if I chose to be controlling a person in my FP. The feature
is the removing and adding of the hiding of the shoes to show the person is moving. This is a much simpler
way of creating movement in a person then repositioning their legs everytime
8. Process
• For my next experiment I designed a flying game where the aeroplane flew through objects avoiding
crashing. The background was a very simply design, I added a light green colour then added darker green
circles in. After that to create the the objects that the user needs to avoid I simply added the text “T” and
rotated one side to act as an opposite of the other one. After that the background was complete. Next up I
had to design a aeroplane. I got ideas from google and started to design using the pencil feature on
Photoshop. After I designed an aeroplane I simply made the timeline of the aeroplane going round the
objects.
9. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
• For my FP I will use the only addition to the last experiments which is the pencil feature. This will help me
design better images then shapes.
10. Process
• In this experiment I added the usage of audio in my video game, this included the game volume of the
core of the game and also the sound affect when the player reaches the goal. This is fairly easy to use, I
went onto Beepbox and played with the different audios available. After about 10 minutes of try and error
I believe I found the right game audio and sound effect audio that compliments the game to its fullest.
After this I easily exported it to my desktop and then added to Premier. To get the video into Premier I had
to go to “Image” then “Image Size” and change the width to 1080 and the height to 720. After this I went
to “Export” then “Render Video” and changed the fps to 25 and then exported it to my desktop. After this
I simply added it to premier with my audio.
11. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
• I will use the Premier application to edit and insert my audio as well as adding
everything together for my video game. This will include sound and video effects,
multiple clips and change of audio. As well as Premier I will also use Bleep box to
design my final project audios, this will include, sound effects, intro music, outro
music and in game audio.
