Making historic sights better: Students work in groups discussing different historic
sights on two criteria – what they are now and how to make them better.
Link to textbook: Tieng Anh 7 (New), Unit 6, page 65.
Difficulty level: Medium
Materials needed: Worksheets
Time: 15 mins
Procedure:
1. Ask the class to name different historic sights in their town/neighborhood.
2. Write down the name of the board and ask them whether they been there and how
often?
3. Give out the worksheet and tell them to work individually completing the table. Then
put them into groups to exchange their ideas/opinions.
4. The teacher goes round the class and provides them with helps in language and
ideas.
5. When they finish, ask some of the students to present their ideas or the teacher
may ask them to tell the class interesting ideas they have heard from their friend
during the group work.
