Presentation Requirements

You will present your book to the class.
Your presentation should include:
• a creative depiction of one part of the book
• persuasive reasoning for choosing this book
• a brief and inspiring summary
• choose one unique element (character,
language, setting, etc.) and compose an
essay

Presentation Dates: August 31 and Sep 2
Your essay is due on August 26 (uploaded on
eSchool21)
You have 5 minutes to make your case.
After all the presentations, we will have a
class vote on the three books that would
be taken. (Winners may get a prize…)
Editor's Notes
Previous school year:
Students can choose to elect another foreign language, French or Spanish.
October 18: PSAT
Students may take the PSAT to prepare themselves for the SATs
December 2: DSD II
Students may take the Deutsche Sprachdiplom II exams to show their proficiency of the German language.
March 3-5: Zentrale Klassenarbeiten
All students take the centralized exams sent by Germany in the three core subjects (English, Math, and German). They count twice as much as a regular exam. Realschüler take Math and German.
April 13-17: Internship
Students gain valuable work experience bz completing a weeklong internship at a company of their choice
May 8: AP German
Students may take the AP German to show proficiency in German as a Foreign Language
June: Oral exam for Realschüler
In order to qualify for grade 10 on the Gymnasium level, Realschüler must take an oral exam. It takes place during the oral DIAP week.
