Link to textbook: Tieng Anh 7 (New), Unit 9, page 27.
Difficulty level: Medium
Materials needed: None
Time: 10 – 15 mins
Procedure:
1. Put students into groups and ask them to list out as many festivals in Vietnam as
possible.
2. Teacher goes round the class to make sure they are on task and give them help
with the correct names of festivals.
3. When they have finished, ask them to choose one typical festival they would love
to present to foreign tourists who have never been to Vietnam.
4. To make the task easier, give the groups some basic ideas to prepare for the
presentation:
- Where is it held?
- Why is it held?
- How often is it held?
- Who takes part in the festival?
- Why is it worth introducing to the tourists.
5. When the presentations are ready, invite each group to take turns to present it to
the class.
6. During each group's presentation, invite other groups to ask questions and
comment.
