2. From the photo shoot we chose
this image as it allowed us
to illustrate around him. By
printing and scanning in the
image into photoshop we
were able to hand draw the
doodles. This sped up the process
as we has more control.
3. Wanting to add colour, we used the draw tool and selected
different shades of our logo colours, yellow and blue. This
highlighted the doodles and was in keeping with our
brand. Were used courier new for the tittle as this
features heavily on our website, instagram and Facebook, as well
as in the actual film.
We found a website that showed us what is in the small print on
posters. We kept it white, as this is what is can be seen on a
large mogirity of movie posters. Because of this we wanted to
change the tittle colour and placement so they weren't
so connected.
4. Linking the film to the production company, blue lemonade films, we experimented with the colour of the tittle. Yellow
on the two ends, like a lemon, and blue in the middle, to represent the "blue lemonade". However the blue did not stand
out enough. We tried to rectify this by altering the brightness and contrast. This did not help. Moving on we tried adding
in a caption/slogan for the film, as this is stereotypical of most films. After a few attempts, we picked a line from the film
that had a real impact on me. "what happens when your mind becomes a pathological liar" It's gripping and intense,
which is what we want people to think of the film.
5. This is the final poster. We removed the doodles as
we preferred it without, and injected the colour into
the tittle and star ratting. We included logos from
film festivals, which have short film categories. I really
like the physical aspect of the doodles mixing with the
overlays on photoshop.
