ASSURE
A – Analyze Learners
My class has twenty students. There are eleven girls and nine boys. The class contains two
Muslim students, three Jewish, and two African Americans. I expect they will know about the
holidays of their own culture. They might have basic knowledge of the other classmates’
traditions. I assume that, since there are twenty students, they will be a group with multiple
learning styles. Each student will either need visual, auditory, or kinesthetic instruction.
S – State Objectives
My students will know the cultural holidays of their classmates by the end of the day. All
students will discuss holidays with their classmates showing they understand the cultural holiday
with 85% accuracy.
S – Select Methods, Media, and Material
Students will need access to the internet for the website, Weebly, google images, YouTube, and
their blogs.
U – Utilize Media, Method, and Material
2. The students will use these materials to create websites about their favorite holiday from their
culture. The will tell stories, do research, and upload images and videos to their website to reflect
the characteristics of their holidays.
R – Require Learner Participation
Students will then be given the link to another’s website and must look at all the things put on
the website to gain a better understanding of the other student’s holiday.
E – Evaluate and Revise
Students will then update their blogs about what they learned and how they felt about it as well
as how they felt about having another student read about their holiday of choice. I will review
these posts and determine if they understand the cultural significance of the holiday they learned
about.
