2. Process
So to start off my front
cover I decided to take one
of the posters used for
Goodfellas. I decided to do
this because I want to use
this as the staple for my
magazine cover. I will
change and add elements
but I want to use this as it
is the main subject of my
magazine.

3. Process
So here I have added the title
for my magazine, the font I
have used here I got from
1001 fonts. I have chosen this
font because I think it suits
the style of the films font on
the poster. I have put a red
colored font behind it because
I feel the front cover needs
some pop of colour but it
doesn't take away from the
fact that the film is dramatic
and dark. A lot of blood is spilt
in the film and this colour
shows it.

4. Process
This is my finished front cover, I
have added some text about what
the magazine includes and what the
focal point of my magazine is. I
haven't added a lot to the front
cover on purpose because all the
posters I have researched all are
very plain and simple. I think this is
done to carry the dramatic affect
and tone of the film. Therefore I
wanted to keep this effect on my
magazine cover.

5. Process
To start off my double page spread I have
decided to use a gradient of red and black. I
have done this because when looking at all
the colours used in Goodfellas merchandise
are red and black. I think this done to
express the mood and drama of the film.
The red is used to show the amount of
blood that is shown in the film, there is a lot
of murder and the black I think is used to
show what the characters are
surrounded in, their paranoia sinks in and
we see the characters go from confident to
paranoid messes.

6. Process
So for this part of my magazine double
page I have decided to not use the
polaroid frames for the pictures that I
was originally going to use. I decided not
to use the frames because I think the
pictures placed on each other look a lot
better than they would have with the
frames. All the pictures I have chosen to
use in my double page I have picked out
carefully, I have picked out pictures that
show the range of emotions that the film
goes through. I have also picked out
pictures that don't give any plot points of
the film away to the audience so it still
keeps the audience interested.

7. Process
This is the right hand side of my double page
this side includes my review of the film
Goodfellas. Now I have decided to place my
review here without any extras around it
because I don't want to take the readers
attention away from the review. They have
seen the pictures that I have chosen for the
film, now I want the readers attention on the
review for the film.
