2. Front cover
Barcode – the use of the barcode is a typical
convention that is mainly used within the pop
magazine. By looking at other pop magazines
through my research I have found that mainly
the barcode is placed at the bottom right of the
page and stands out from the cover. Also the
magazines I have decided to use showed me
that idea and had decided to use it within my
magazine as it will make my magazine look more
like a pop magazine. By making the barcode bold
and quite big meant that it would stand out and
it contains the issue, the date , the price, the
website and the caution warning.
Cover lines- my cover lines are slightly
slanted on the main image. By looking at
other pop magazines the cover lines were
slanted and by using the idea of the other
magazines is because my magazine is more
likely to look like the pop magazine. I have
used some of the cover lines on a white
background whereas some of the other
cover lines are used on a light purple
background. The reason why I have chosen
to do the cover lines like this is because of
the way it stands out and it makes the cover
lines more eye catching so it means it is
more likely to attract the audience.
