From the information that I found out in recent research of magazine I found that the most common music
magazine is from the music genres indie, rock and pop; therefore,I decided to make my magazine based on
the genre alternative/indie I then took this information into consideration when I was planning designs for
my magazine cover, contents page and double page spread. I then put my final edits of my magazine onto a
private group chat on Facebook with a few questions about my magazine for them to answer, these
questions were;
What firstcatches your eye when looking atthe front cover of the magazine?
Can you identify the genre of the magazine?
Do you think the colours and fonts compliment the genre of the magazine?
Is the use of the ruleof thirds evident in the images?
Does the Guttenberg design principleseemto be in effect here?
Does the lead articlecatch your attention?
Would you purchasethis magazine?

Overall,the feedbackof mymagazine waspositive.The majorityof participantsenjoyedthe mainimage andthe
mastheadas theywere the mainattractionstothe frontcoverof the magazine.Fromthe responsesthere seemed
to be no negative feedbackformy magazine,however,Ididn’tlikethe backgroundof mycontentspage asthe blue
backgroundcontrastedwiththe colourscheme andmade the contentspage lesseffective.The genre of my
magazine wasobvioustothe participantsandeachone said theywouldbuythe magazine,therefore,the
productionof mymagazine wasa success.
