The document discusses using Survey Monkey to gather feedback on a pitch. It provides the questions asked in the survey and the results. The survey asked 5 questions, including how respondents would rate the pitch on a scale of 1-5 (the average was 4) and how the pitch could be improved (feedback suggested slowing down and speaking louder). The feedback also suggested changes to the front cover and double page spread, such as adding cover lines and filling empty space. Based on the feedback, the pitch was improved by adding more details to target audience and proposal sections and making Photoshop edits to add requested elements like cover lines and photo credits.

Unit 30 Learning Objective 5
1.
2. Survey Monkey
I used a site named “survey monkey” to gather feed feedback on my pitch that ive done.
In the image below here are the questions I asked for my feedback on my pitch. These were:
“how would you rate my pitch on a scale to 1-5”
“how could I improve my pitch”
“is there anything I can change on my front cover?”
“is there anything I can change on my double page?”
“was my proposal detailed enough?”
3. Survey Monkey (Continued II)
In my survey I I asked up to 5 questions. I got my results and here they
are for each question.
Question 1: “how would you rate my pitch on a scale to 1-5”
Out of the 4 people who took my
survey the results came back as 4.
to go further into detail I was
given:
One three star
Two four stars
And one five star
The equaled the average up to 4
4. Survey Monkey (Continued III)
Question 2: “how could I improve my pitch”
in this I asked how I can improve my pitch on things I did, such as too
look at the audience more or talk louder.
Due to anxiety I was rushed and
didn’t speak loudly, this means a
lot of my feedback would have
been to slow down and talk
louder. Which was most of the
feedback in this case.
Next time I do a presentation im
going to try and do what ive
been told in the feedback and to
slow down and talk a lot louder.
5. Survey Monkey (Continued IV)
Question 3: “is there anything I can change on my front cover?”
In this I asked if my two front covers needed to have any changes even if
this was color, font, composition or any other features I may of missed.
Most of my feedback was to
add cover lines on which I
proceeded to do further on
in this power point. Also I
was told I may be missing
certain things and to change
some of the picture which I
slightly disagreed with but I
took it in mind and see if I
could change this.

Question 4: “is there anything I can change on my double page
spread?”
In this I asked if my two double page spreads needed to have any
changes even if this was color, font, composition or any other features I
may of missed. In this I was missing mostly
negative space meaning a
lot of space wasn’t filled.
And it easy to take too
much space up but its also
easy to take up to less
space in what ever youre
creating.
One person said I should fill
the space with quotes and
more cover lines on the
double page.
7. Survey Monkey (Continued VI)
Question 4: “was my proposal detailed enough?
this was a pretty easy question to answer and there's not much to say
but in general I was given good feedback on my proposals and not much
changing need to be done to them. The only thing I needed to of
changed was that I need to put my figures of sales.
8. Final front page
Masthead: the masthead is the main title
for the magazine and it’s the most
recognizable. If the masthead wasn’t
there then no one would know who's
magazine it was.
Main Image: this connotes who the main article
is about. In this case its avenged sevenfold
talking about their new album. If the main
image was someone else and the main article
was on someone this is false advertising.
Strapline: quick line that will get the readers
attention, making them want to read onwards
Cover lines: this allows the reader to
know who else is in the magazine, like a
feature it allows the reader to easily
decide if they want to purchase them
magazine or not.
Barcode: it is placed like this because
it can allow more space to have the
cover lines.
9. Final DPS
Differentiated questions and answers:
different types of questions are asked about
various things the artist likes . To make the
interview more interesting.
Drop Capital:
this connotes
where to start
reading the
interview
Magazine Credits:
this connotes who the
photo is of and who
took it
Main title: shows
who the interview
is about
Main Image:
this connotes
who the main
article is about.
If the main
image was
someone else
and the main
article was on
someone this is
false
advertising.
10. Pitch Improvements
In my improvements its mainly just Photoshop work.
Firstly I added some cover lines into the front
cover as it was lacking some main cover lines.
Additionally I had to sort out my double page spread.
Firstly I need to add a pull quote in my interview, this
is one of the main things I need to add into my
double page. Secondly I need to add photo credits
and interview credits into the magazine other wise
people wont who took the photo or who was the
interviewer.
11. Pitch Improvements (Continued)
BEFORE
AFTER
Part of the improvements I needed to make
was to add more detail into my target
audience, in the photos shown I clearly add
a paragraph more to the slide which
contains what I will be doing. As I was using
Kerrang! As my magazine of inspiration I
used their target audience as a guide to
what I could contain in my magazine.
12. Pitch Improvements (Continued II)Another thing I need to change about my pitch
was that my proposal was not long/ detailed
enough. In this two photos I have add more
detail into my proposal and is now up to the
standard wanted.
AFTER
BEFORE
13. Photoshop Improvements
Part of witness statement and feedback was to do
some editing on my front cover and double page to
make it better. Some of the things that needed to be
changed were to add cover lines onto the front cover,
also I need to add photo credits to the double page
spread of my magazine. Additionally I need to add
who did the interview and credit them for taking the
time to go out and interview them.
