 Read text A Service of Love and underline physical descriptions of Joe and Delia.
 Do exercise 4 b on page 84. Put the given words in the correct columns in the table.

 Look again at the story on page 82. What words are used to describe Joe and Delia’s
personalities?
 Do exercise 4 f on page 84 and complete the definitions using the given personality adjectives.
 Here is some of the vocabulary that may help you:
double chin –
wrinkles – a roll of fatty flesh below a person's chin
cropped – (especially of hair) cut very short
highlights – a bright tint in the hair, especially one created artificially by bleaching or dyeing
fringe – the front part of a person's hair cut so as to hang over the forehead
plump – having a full rounded shape
freckle – a small patch of light brown color on the skin, often becoming more pronounced
through exposure to the sun.
spiky – having many spikes or sharp projecting points
considerate – careful not to inconvenience or harm others
 Describe your classmate sitting next to you, give his/her physical and personality characteristics!
