INTRODUC TION
“Employees are the asset of an organization.”
In Human Resource Management , employee attrition is a
situation which employers face when an employee abandons
his position, leaves the position & join another company. The
BPO companies in India are facing the challenge to lower
attrition rates which are increasing at alarming proportions
bleeding out value both in terms of time & money.
OBJECTIVE OF STUDY
 To know about employee attrition , types &
causes in BPO sector.
Compare attrition rate of BPO sector with
another industrial sector.
Finding positive and negative impact of attrition
in BPO sector.
Strategies to reduce attrition rate & retain

According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory :
• Psychological Need – Lowest salary is the prime reason.
•Safety Need - Less job security is the prime reason.
•Social Need - No work life balance is the prime reason.
•Self Esteem Need - Low social status is the prime reason.
•Self Actualization Need – No provision for career
development programmes is the prime reason .

CONCLUSION
As the opportunities are wide for the employees of BPO
sector, the attrition rate is very high .
So , it is in the hands of the organization to safeguard the
valuable employees , for which the management has to
ensure that the employees are satisfied with their
responsibilities and the job is offering them motivation to
continue with the company.

  • 5. “Employees are the asset of an organization.” In Human Resource Management , employee attrition is a situation which employers face when an employee abandons his position, leaves the position & join another company. The BPO companies in India are facing the challenge to lower attrition rates which are increasing at alarming proportions bleeding out value both in terms of time & money.

So , it is in the hands of the organization to safeguard the valuable employees , for which the management has to ensure that the employees are satisfied with their responsibilities and the job is offering them motivation to continue with the company.
