The Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI) measures 10 core motives through 200 questionnaire items. It allows evaluation of an individual's fit with an organizational culture by directly assessing their motives around concepts like aesthetics, affiliation, altruism, and power. The MVPI contains no right or wrong answers and screens out private or offensive content. High, average, and low scores for each of the 10 scales are described to indicate preferences and likely workplace behaviors.
