Abstract
Human Resource Accounting concept works on idea that human assets in an
organization are as important as any material asset for an organization. It is the process
identifying and reporting investments made in the Human Resource of an organization
that are presently unaccounted for in the conventional accounting practices . It seeks to
measure the abilities of all employees in a company at all levels to produce value by way of
knowledge and capability .
The research is to study the Human Resource Accounting and its impact on workforce
efficiency in Manufacturing Companies using Employees' Replacement Cost ; Case study on
Albarde for Soft Drinks & Natural Juices from 2010 to 2011.
Definition Human Resource Accounting
The American accounting Association defined Human Resource Accounting as the
process of identifying ,measuring and communicating information about Human Resource
in order to facilitate effective management within an organization .1
Flamholz defined Human Resource Accounting as the process , which involves
measuring the cost incurred by business firms and other organization to recruit , select ,
hire , train and develop Human Asset. This gives a view as to what expenditure on the
Human Resources should be recognized for valuation and reporting purposes . 2
