Age- The age for my target audience is 16-18 year olds because my magazine is aimed at
students and therefore has a niche market. For this reason, people who are doing their A levels
or a Btec as this audience is the only one that the magazine will relate to. Because of this age
range, the magazine cover will have a mode of address that younger adults will be able to find
interesting by being less formal.
Gender- My student magazine doesn’t have a specific targeted gender because male and
females go to college and my magazine is aimed at students and therefore all genders can find
the magazine relatable.
Social class- The social class of a student in college I would say would be middle class as they
are getting a high education and some students also have part time jobs so they have money
income too.
Level of Education- Students reading my magazine would be doing their A levels or Btec as its
aimed for college students. They would have their GCSE results.
Marital/family status- Seeming as my target audience ages are 16-18, they do not have a marital
status and would be living with their parents or legal guardians.
Occupation- Seeming as my target audience are in education, the occupation would be a
student. Some students have part time jobs like working in retail, restaurants or cafes due to
still being in education and not being able to fully commit to a job.
