1. Ideology of my magazine
My music magazine will be aimed at 16-20 year olds, who have the passion to listen to R&B
music. The name of my magazine will be called Rhythm as my magazine is based on R&B which
instantly lets the reader know the genre of the magazine will be R&B as the ‘R’ stands for
rhythm.
My magazine will go against codes and conventions as I would like to include colours that clash
together such as turquois and red to make my music magazine look unique and vibrant.
However my magazine will feature some inspiration from the magazine called ‘Vibe’ as I prefer
the constant, simple layout throughout the front cover, content page and double page spread.
The unique selling points of my magazine will be to include tips on how to become a successful
artist inside on the double page spread. This may attract certain types of people who want to
know how to become successful in the music industry.
I will keep the use of language in my magazine simple as my magazine will be aiming at 16-20
year olds as most magazines that are aimed at teenagers have simple informal language. This is
because most teenagers like to read text which is straightforward, simple and not so complex.
Images will not be so classy and modern as I want my audience to connect with the images and
feel at the same level of the artist presented on the cover of my magazine as my costumes will
include tracksuit bottoms and not expensive costumes .
