QUESTION 5
How did you attract/address your audience?
I chose to address the hip hop audience, I did this by typing in
broken English. I did this because the audience would it more
entertaining to read since they can relate to it.
I tried to relate with my target audience through out the
magazine, for example in my cover I used a young African
male. I choose this because most of the star in the music
industry are young African male, meaning they audience would
feel more comfortable seeing a black male on the cover.
Further, the font I used on my cover would be beneficial to my
magazine because it applies to the genre since the large
bubbly is usually used by hip hop magazines.

I kept the same colour scheme through my advert since it
meet the conventions of a magazine. By using the colours
white and red for text on a black background I was able to
attract the audience attention since I used a variety of
colour I was able to attract the audience attention more
efficiently. This is because using the same font would
effect my work in a negative ways. This is because the
audience could get tired of the same colour. Hence why I
did just use white for all my text since they audience
might have gotten bored of the same coloured text.
In addition on my content page I kept the audience
attracted to the magazine by using two images which
explain to the audience what was going to happen in the
magazine.
Furthermore, in order to attract lot more people to my
magazine I used big titles since it enable me to grab their
attention more efficiently.

My magazine is aimed at both genders but mostly aimed
at men since the magazine is not very feminine. The
cover is also another reason why the magazine is aimed
more at males because the modal is a male, the colour
red tend to also appeal more to men.
Age:
The modal I chose was perfect for my target audience
since his the same age them and has a similar ethnicity.
Genre:
My magazine cover reflect on actual hip-hop starts since
there is a fictional hip-hop artists.
