Тема: Збираємось у подорож.
Мета:
 Навчальна:
закріпити та активізувати лексичні одиниці з тем «Транспорт», «Одяг»,
«Подорож»; активізувати вживання модального дієслова should; навчати
учнів використовувати вивчений лексичний та граматичний матеріал у
різних ситуаціях; формувати комунікативні компетентності учнів у процесі
оволодіння іноземною мовою; вчити учнів взаємодіяти у парах та групах.
 Розвиваюча:
розвивати вміння та навички читання, аудіювання, мовлення та письма;
розвивати логічне мислення, зорову пам’ять та артикуляцію звуків
англійської мови, усні комунікативні вміння; створення умов для розвитку
мовної здогадки та уяви, мислення засобами мови.
 Виховна:
виховувати зацікавленість до вивчення іноземної мови, культуру спілкування
іноземною мовою, естетичний смак та особисті якості учнів, толерантне
ставлення до оточуючих та їхньої думки.
Тип уроку: комбінований
Очікувані результати: учні володіють лексичним матеріалом з теми уроку
та вміють вживати модальне дієслово «should» у повсякденній діяльності .
Обладнання:наочний матеріал з теми, сині та жовті бейджики для поділу на
групи, роздатковий матеріал, мікрофон, мультимедійна презентація.
Умови оцінювання: за правильну відповідь учні отримують фішки-зірки та
у кінці уроку підводиться підсумок, за яким визначається відповідна
кількість балів і надається відповідна аргументована оцінка роботи учня на
уроці.
Хід уроку
( Перед початком уроку учням роздаються сині та жовті бейджики для
подальшого поділу на групи.)
І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення(4.5 хв)

T: Good morning, my dear friends. I am glad to see you.
Ps: Good morning, teacher.
T: I see your eyes are full of great wish to study English. How are you today?
Ps: We are fine, thanks.

2. Introducting of the topic. Aim(1 хв)
T: Today we are going to speak about travelling. We will improve our speaking,
listening, reading and writing skills, also we’ll practice the using of modal verb

“should”. And the main thing – you will work out some advice for travelers. So,
the theme of our lesson is GOING ON A TRIP. ( Слайд 2 ) Our aim is to get
ready for a trip: to pack your suitcases with proper clothes and items, to know the
rules to keep during a trip, to know the signs and symbols you may find in a
strange place , to ask for information about the cruise and do the project.
3. Warming up

T: Let’s start with our rhyme “We go by car…” and practice sound {g}.

Preparing for the journey
1. Practicing vocabulary. Ex. 1 p. 102 (2хв)
T: Travelling around the world is impossible without clothes and other items.
People can’t leave without them. Let’s speak about clothes. Open your books and
do the task. Exercise 1 on page 102. Look at the pictures given below and say
which items
 are perfect in cold weather?
 are good to wear when it is hot and sunny?
 are perfect for the beach?
 can you wear in winter/ spring/ summer/ autumn?

2. Practicing grammar (3 хв)

T: Before travelling people pack their suitcases. We also have the suitcase.
Let’s fill it with necessary clothes. What should you take with you? Before
answering this question you are to divide into two groups. Your task is to
answer adding your idea to the previous ones. Take the microphone, please.

T: Do you know that good beginning makes a good ending. So you should know
some rules to avoid difficulties while travelling. You will work in groups. Each
group gets a task. You think, discus and suggest your ideas to the class.

phrases into two columns and tell us these rules. (HO1)

Group2. When we travel we see a lot of symbols and signs. We should know what
they mean. Your task is to match the symbols and their names and tell us. (HO2)

4. Speaking (4хв)

T: Now we have packed our suitcases, know the rules and some symbols. So it’s
time to discuss what way of travelling to choose. Do you have any ideas?
P1: I think we can travel by train. When we go by train we have speed and comfort.
We can see a lot of things from the train window.
P2: I don’t like the idea. The trains are not comfortable and not clean. Besides,
there are too many people.
P3: For me, there is nothing like travelling by plane. It is the fastest way of
travelling. The seats are comfortable. We can read or sleep during the journey.
P4: But planes don’t fly in bad weather. And it is very expensive to travel by plane.
Let’s go by car.
P5: It’s a good idea but there are only 5 seats in the car and we are 14.
P6: To my mind the best way of travelling for a group of people is by bus. Besides,
there is a guide in the tourist bus. He or she can tell many interesting things and tell
many interesting stories.
T: Do you have any ideas?
P7: I would like to travel by …
P8: I have never travelled by …
P9: I’d like to travel by ship. I think it’s convenient because you can do lots of
things at the same time during travelling by ship.

But now it’s time to move a little and to sing the song “If you’re happy.”

T: I suggest you to choose a ship for travelling and speak about the cruise. Doing
this task you’ll be able to ask for some information about the cruise.
1) Pre-Listening activity
a) Speaking T-Class
T: Look at the dialogue (HO3). The sentences below are from the following
dialogue. Where does the dialogue take place: at a travel agent’s or on a
cruise ship? What are the people talking about?
b) T: You are to read this dialogue and fill in the gaps with the sentences.
Учні читають діалог та заповнюють пропуски поданими реченнями.
2) While-Listening activity
T: While listening you may check if you did the previous task correctly.
3) Post-Listening activity
a) T: Read again and mark the sentences (1-4) T (true) or F (false).
По закінченню учні у парах обмінюються роботами та перевіряють
правильність виконання завдання, звіряючись зі слайдом №13 та отримують
відповідну кількість фішок-зірок за правильні відповіді. ( Слайд 13 )
b) T: Who wants to read this dialogue? Who is the travel agent? Who is the
man?
Спочатку діалог читають всі учні разом ( дівчата – тур агент,
хлопці – чоловік), потім пари читають за ролями естафетою.
c) Pair work. Acting out

Т: You’ve seen this advert in a newspaper. Call the travel agent’s and act out
a dialogue, similar to the one, you’ve just listened.
Учні працюють у парах, вчитель слідкує за
правильністювиконання завдання. Потім 2-3 пари інсценують діалоги.
7. Relaxation moment ( 1.5хв)

T: Please, sit comfortably. Close your eyes. Imagine you are a passenger of a white
beautiful cruise ship. You are on the outside deck, sitting in a soft armchair,
watching the seagulls and listening to the waves splashing.

малюнок. Група 1 – cars, група 2 – ships, група 3 – planes.)
T: I think, you are in a good mood and ready for making a project. Please,
write 3-4 sentences, including a piece of advice for travelers: on business
(group “cars”), for pleasure (group “ships”) and for educational purposes
(group “planes”). You may use pencils and make your cards brighter.
Члени кожної групи систематизують поради і розробляють листівку, в якій
їх викладають. Представники кожної групи презентують свої листівки і
зачитують поради для мандрівників.

Оцінка учнів визначається за кількістю отриманих фішок, тобто
найбільша кількість фішок дорівнює найвищому балу, але вчитель
паралельно дає вербальну аргументовану оцінку роботи учнів на уроці.
3. Homework. Ex. 7 p. 104 (1хв)
Учні отримують диференційоване домашнє завдання. ( Слайд 18 )

T: Your homework is to write an email to your English-speaking friend who
is coming to Ukraine in spring. Write what clothes he/she should take with
him/her and what places you are going to visit.
T: Pupils who have difficulties with writing emails may do Ex. 6 on p. 104.
They are to fill in should or shouldn’t in writing, but they’ll have mark “8”
for correct task.
