A: : My class is a group of second grade students. There are 10 girls and 7 boys.
Within the classroom, 80 percent of them are white, 10 percent are African
American, and 10 percent are Hispanic.
S: My students will demonstrate how to introduce one using sign language. This will
do this by; watching a youtube video, completely a webquest within a group, and
using a voki. This will be completed at the end of the week with a 85-100 percent
accuracy.
S: The media I will be using is youtube, a webquest made on zunal, and voki. I
recently have made a youtube video that shows how to introduce yourself, this will
be shown to my students at the beginning of the lesson. After this, I will have my
students get into groups and complete the webquest on zunal.com as a group. From
there, I want them to create a voki saying what they would sign when introducing
themselves.
U: Both my students and myself will access the media for today’s lesson. All of the
media used for today’s lesson will be accessed from the Internet. Since Voki was
new to myself, I will show my students how to use it before they try themselves.
R: While my students are in groups doing the webquest I will circulate the room to
see if they are understanding the material given to them. Also, this is a good time to
see if they are staying on track and following the directions and task.
E: I will evaluate my students when they come up to the front of the class using their
voki to introduce themselves. If they complete the voki and signs correctly is how I
will evaluate them.
