Analyze the learner
The classroom contains 22 students. The gender makeup of the class is 12 boys and 10 girls. The
ages of the students range from 11 to 12 years old in the 6th
grade. The class is somewhat racial
diverse. In class, there are 6 African Americans students, 3 Native American students, and 13
Caucasian students. The religious background of the class is made up of some from Christianity
or Agnostic. Students in this class learn through hands on and visual learning.
State Objective
Each student will understand resistance and rescue movements and who were apart of them
through the use of videos through YouTube, blogs, and social medias of Facebook and Twitter.
The students will do this with a 95% accuracy by the end of the day.
Select Methods, Media, and Materials
Smart Board: The teacher will use the Smart Board when presenting the materials
YouTube: The teacher will use YouTube to display the end of the Holocaust
Blogger: The students will use blogger to respond to the blog about the end of the Holocaust
Facebook: The teacher will use Facebook to show a video and assess comments of the students
Twitter: The students will use Twitter to follow survivors of the Holocaust
Computers: Students will use class computers to assess social medias and Blogger
Utilize Media and Materials
The lesson will be mainly student centered. The teacher will start the lesson by using YouTube
to show a StoryTelling on the End of Holocaust followed by class discussion. The students will
then read the teacher’s blog about rescue and liberation of the Holocaust. The student will be
required to comment on the blog with no less than a paragraph response. Next the teacher will
use the class Facebook to show a video reenacting the rescue of those survivors of the
concentration camps. The students will be then ask to comment on the video as homework.
The teacher will then use the class twitter to demonstrate who the class is required to follow on

2. twitter. The students will be required to follow four people on Twitter who are actually
survivors, an account that tells a survivor’s story, or organizations that assist the survivor or the
education of the Holocaust. Then students will then be required to write a paper of what was
discussed through these Tweets, one paragraph for each. Students will use remanding time in
class to blog, write journal entry, comment on Facebook, read, or any other unfinished
assignments.

The students will participate online discussions. The students will engage in class discussions.

Evaluate and Revise
The teacher will assess the students’ knowledge of the material through responses of the blogs
and comments on Facebook. The teacher will use class discussion to determine understanding
of each student. The teacher will also walk around during extra asking individual students
questions pertaining to the lesson. The teacher will assess the effectiveness of the materials
and media used and make appropriate changes for future instructions.
