1. Friday:
A: My class is a group of second grade students. There are 10 girls and 7 boys.
Within the classroom, 80 percent of them are white, 10 percent are African
American, and 10 percent are Hispanic.
S: My students will enumerate in sign language up to 20. They will complete this by;
watching a youtube video, and by using twitter to tweet about learning sign
language. They will complete this by the end of the day with a 90-100 percent
accuracy.
S: The media used today will consist of youtube and twitter. For the youtube video,
it will be played while the students sign along with the video. This will teach them
the numbers. For twitter, they will incorporate tweeting and numbers by taking a
picture of them signing how old they are and then writing deaf culture facts in the
tweet. They will upload the picture and tweet back at me.
U: Today it will just be the students using the media. I will supervise however when
they are using twitter to make sure they are doing exactly what I ask.
R: While they are learning and tweeting this is when I will be walking around to see
if they are staying on task and doing what I instructed them to do.
E: I will evaluate them by their tweets and by watching them when the video is
playing and they are signing along with the video.
