Project Background
The preferred design offer the following:
Poses minimal impact to possible future multi‐use path
on Douro St.
Elevator eliminates the need for out‐of‐way travel and
it is accessible for cyclists at all levels.
Requires the least amount of tree removal.
Poses minimal impacts to residential and commercial
properties.
Poses no impacts to archaeological or heritage
resources.
Poses no Impacts to Metrolinx / CN / CP rail
operations.

Tree Inventory: Western Battery Rd
The tree inventory study area includes the Project Area plus a 6m buffer. There are 24
trees near the southern part of the bridge that may need removal, subject to final design.
Trees range from 4.5cm – 18cm Diameter at Breast Height.

Spruce
Tree replacement opportunities are being reviewed and will be identified at Public Drop‐in Event # 2
