Small milk trucks for Local area distribution are used they load
milk in crates according to milk distribution demand
One crate contains 20 milk packets of 0.5 liters

12. Presently Amul uses cell-phones to track the location of the truck.
EDI has been adapted for taking the orders.
GPS technology has been tested in December 2010 with 6 trucks which carry
milk to Rajasthan (Up-Country Distribution).
GPS technology has not adopted yet, it’s been recommended.
The GPS Technology is provided by IDEA and vendor was NIMIT Tech, A
Vadodara based company.
