Pit Bulls, one of the American societies famous bully breeds is too often stereotyped as malicious
animals, but that stereotype is false due to evidence that pit bulls can be just as loving as the iconic
golden retriever. According to the American Temperament Test, which is a test that focuses on and
measures different aspects of temperament such as stability, shyness, aggressiveness, friendliness

In Tijeras, New Mexico, the ban was so strictly enforced that animal control officers were allowed
to kill any Pit Bull seen on sight without compensation to the owner. Due to their misunderstood
reputation, people made rash decisions that affected the lives of many loving Pit Bulls that never
stood a chance. They have even become a "liability" due to their "overly violent" personalities and

They were bred for entertainment through fighting, but also for companionship as family pets. Their
history has brought turmoil and hate against them. Society has not helped with this either. They take

Because there are no witnesses how Goochland, Virginia, resident Bethany Lynn Stephens died, her
two dogs are the suspects in her death. At a news conference on Friday, investigators disclosed that
when Bethany's father searched for her in an area she often goes, he found her two dogs guarding

He thought it was an animal carcass, but he found out it was his daughter's body. Goochland County
Sheriff Jim Agnew said that Bethany was apparently mauled by her two pit bulls whose combined

and a Terrier, so they had the strength of a Bulldog and the speed of a Terrier. Pit Bulls were fought
in pits so that is were they got the name Pit Bull. Pits also have amassing jaw strength. They can
smash these dog toys called kongs with their jaws. I can't even smash one by stepping on it. They
are so strong that you can hang a rope from a tree and they will lock their jaws on the rope and

Dogs seem to be one of the most common and beloved pets in our society. Many even consider their
dog to be a family member. One thing that is especially great about dogs is that there are many
different breeds of dogs out there that have different characteristics, and traits. Which gives people

an effort to reinforce public safety, Mayor Coderre has chosen to not get to the root of the biting
problem, instead he simply covered up a bigger problem by not holding owners accountable,
therefore setting the new bylaw up for failure. The overall bias regarding the correlation between

Gladwell also touches on the idea of stable and unstable generalizations that not only involve dogs,
