Becoming Who I Am
Becoming Who I Am I was born on June 27th, 2001. I was named after the month I was born in.
June May Jones is my full name. I was supposed to be born in May, but was very late. Now, in the
year of 2016, I will be turning 14. I am in 8th grade and the youngest in my class. Making a
transition from elementary school to now Jr. High, and almost high school, was one of the hardest
things. Since I live in Chicago, IL, I go to a different school often. It's hard to make friends here, of
course. Moving in transitions like that is very hard. Up until my mom died, we always used to move
because she was a teacher and was moved a lot around the city. I never went to her schools though.
My dad is my only friend. It is as well hard to make friends ... Show more content on

I was grateful to have him in my life. We'd been through so much together. Mom's death, car
accidents, moving, changes, and all of that. That morning, I got dressed, in my, then, new hot pink
60's dress and a my black leather jacket. I promised myself I would make a difference this year, you
know, in my personality. I had just gotten my hair dyed to auburn and I looked like a whole different
person. I had wanted a 60's look, and that's sort of what I got. I arrived at school 10 minutes late
because I got lost and forgot my phone at home. It was alright because the teacher, Mrs. Harrison,
was nice. That day turned out to be the best day of my life because all the people there was nice and
grateful. It was just perfect. Everyone said they loved me and that they wanted to be my friend. I got
home that night in a good mood. Dad had to work late because he had just got the job. He got home
around 9 o'clock. I was still up and doing homework. But little did I know, that was the last time I
ever see him come home. The morning, I got up to the sound of my alarm clock. I went to the
kitchen expecting dad to be making breakfast, but he wasn't there. I went into his bedroom and saw
him on the floor. A sharp pain hit my heart and I ran to him. I shook him, but he didn't wake. I knew
what to do in these situations. I found his cell phone and called 911. I said, "Hello, this is June Jones

Definition Of Success As Kaya Clow Sees
Success As Kaya Clow Sees it Success is in the eye of the beholder. The definition of success has
many meanings. It could mean how high a person reaches in their career, how well they do in
school, how fit they are, how smart they are, how beautiful or handsome they are and even how
much money they make. Success to me is being happy with who I am and not to try be someone
else. I don't have to be the best athlete, the prettiest girl in the class or on earth or the smartest, most
intelligent kid on the planet. Success is doing your best with what you have in life. I would like to
get high marks in all my classes at Craig Kielburger and university. However, if I can look at myself
in the mirror and say, "I honestly did my best" then

What Will I Become 5 to 10 Years from Now
I. Introduction Here now is my work from the question? "What will I become 5 or 10 years from
now" it took me several weeks and I got a serious headache thinking about it well any way I came
up with my own research about this, so far I managed to get some ideas and possibilities, I
questioned some of my relatives and my family regarding my question somehow my efforts is worth
trying for because I have earned a good answers through them. No one can predict his own future
and no one exactly can tell what will be your life next 5 or 10 years from 2010, there's a possibility
that you will die or there's a possibility that you will have your own family you just can't tell. I hope

Family Theme In Nyxia
One theme seed seen throughout the novel Nyxia by Scott Reintgen is family. In the beginning of
the novel Emmett goes with the Bible company due to the fact that if he wins the prize would be 50
thousand a month for the rest of his life as well as free access and treatment at medical centers
courtesy of Babel. My thinking is that the free access and treatment at medical centers is the real
reason he is there, as it even says so in the beginning of the book. His mother has breast cancer and
kidney disease so winning could very well save her life.
The first basic theme of family I found in this novel was family can cause people to do things they
never would have considered before. (Emmett went to space on a trip out of our own solar system
for the chance to help his Mom survive) Some evidence to support this claim would be found on
page 18. This is where Emmet goes on a journey out of the solar system to try and get money for his
mother who has cancer. My thinking on this is that Emmett's family is poor, and bable can control
him through his desire to win and get his mother medical care. This leads me to think about a
possible theme that would be connected to the larger idea of family, control and using one's family
to control them. Emmett's family seems very supportive of him even though he has had a rocky past
and the family has fallen upon hard times and his father leaves him with the message, bend the
rules, break them if you must, Just be true to who you are. That

The Philadelphia School Project Approach
"Project Approach is an in–depth investigation of a topic worth learning more about" (Morrison,
2012). A small group of children within a class, sometimes a whole class, and occasionally an
individual child carry out an investigation with the purpose to search for answers to questions about
a topic worth learning more about, something the children are interested in (Morrison, 2012). It
benefits the children due to the fact that it makes them thinking in a higher level. Children's
enthusiasm for a specific subject convey them to ask questions, make decisions about what they are
going to do keeping in mind the end goal to research and use real life experience.
"The Philadelphia School Project Dog Project" helped us better understand what Project

Classrooms Are Typically Undesirable Learning Environments...
Classrooms are typically undesirable learning environments. Most classrooms can evoke negative
emotions such as boredom, sadness, stress, and even anxiety. In grade school, high school, and
sometimes college, it can be difficult for people to go to class and pay attention for long periods;
most students end up daydreaming out the window or dozing off instead of focusing on the task.
Teachers want their students to perform well academically, which is not as likely when students are
not able to focus for long periods. Some high school classrooms can be extremely dull causing a
student's mood to become dreary therefore causing the student to lose focus. An alternative method
to help elongate student's attention span is with color.
Color is in everyone 's day–to–day lives and has a large impact on emotions and feelings (Kaya and
Epps, 2004). It is known that different emotions can evoke different feelings, both positive and
negative, from people (Kaya and Epps, 2004). For example, the color green has been associated
with earth and nature, which causes people to feel positive feelings such as relaxed and calm.
Yellow is also associated with the positive feelings of happiness and excitement because it is
associated with the season of summer and the sun. Red, however, is a color that can create both
negative feelings and positive feelings. While some may see red as the color of romance and love,
others may see it linked to evil, blood, or war (Kaya and Epps, 2004). Since

Fat–burning ingredients. These are the ingredients that truly reduce your weight because it burns
fatty components into energy. They carry the fat or fuel to the cells in the body and change it to
energy. Examples of fat–burning ingredients are omega–3 fatty acids, carnitine, vitamin C, L–
tyrosine, makandi, and soy that contain isoflavones. Carnitine is a well known fat burner. The
omega–3 fatty acids assist the performance of carnitine into the body. Sources of the last ingredients

Kaya Rose: A Short Story
Have you ever forgotten something such as important as you own name? Or even more, have you
ever forgotten everything? It is frustrating, you feel like everyone is talking about things you can
barely understand or remember. People start asking questions or telling you things you don't even
know about yourself. Kaya Rose had to deal with this when she was 20 years old, but faith helps her
to go through it and beat the odds. Kaya's mother didn't want her to go to the University of
Minnesota's party. She has just entered to university and she was too young to go to that kind of
parties. In fact, it was her first month studying there and she had already been invited to several
reunions, meetings and parties. She wouldn't accept a "no" for

Kaya Case Study
Looking at the data collected on Kaya, as a scholar practitioner, I would want to do an assessment to
find out what are Kaya strong points. Just looking at the data it appears that Kaya may have some
difficulty socializing with other children and the cause could be several things. I am supporting this
with the fact that the high frequency behaviors are those classified as off–task, the fact that Kaya has
difficulty making eye contact for more than 3 consecutive seconds. Unfortunately, the interval data
does not give me the cause or antecedent of what could be causing this type of behavior. This child
could be bullied, she could have low self–esteem, she could be shy, she could be homeless, and or
she could be borderline autistic, etc. There ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

A Short Story : A Story?
Kaya was in bed looking at the ceiling. She was tired and her older sister, Ella was reading a book
late at night. Kaya had long and curly orange/red hair, she was fourteen. Kayaś older sister, Ella
loves reading, she was fifteen, and had long blond hair. ¨Turn off the lights. It is late!¨ Kaya whined
to her sister. They went to bed when Ella did finally turn off the lights. The room that they shared
was not very big, but not very small. The girls shared a bunk bed together. When Kaya was asleep,
she had a strange dream. In her dream she was in a dark cave, it was cold and windy. She heard a
noise behind her, so she started to run. As she ran the end of the cave got further and further away.
She ran until she couldn't hear anything, except for her own footsteps. She walked around the cave
but could not see anything in any direction. She walked to the walls of the cave and ran her fingers
along the sides there was a jagged piece of rock and when she touched it she didn't feel any pain.
After she walked around the cave for a while she started to panic, what if she was stuck in the cave
forever! ¨Help!¨ she shouted out, but no one answered. Finally, after what felt like forever, she feel
asleep. When she woke up she was back in her bedroom. In the morning, she tells her sister about
the dream, her sister doesn't seem to care. When Kaya gets to school, she finds her friend, Ava and
tells her about the dream. Ava is Kaya´s best friend, she is fourteen, has black hair, and

Critical Analysis Model
A Critical Analysis of The Kaya Identity:
OLS Estimator Modeling, Variable Specification, Renewable Energy, and Multicollinearity
Laurie Alexis Sauvageau–Robillard
Clarkson University
April 29,2017
Abstract
The following analysis attempts to understand how to best formulate a stochastic model using
empirical data and the proposed Kaya Identity, as well as further explore components of the IPAT
equation that measures human impact on the surrounding ecological system. Using Quarterly Data
from the United States from 1980–2016, an econometric critique and environmental exploration of
datasets, regression functions, and pitfalls of the latter will help further examine previous works on
the use of the Kaya Identity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, it is in turn beneficial to understand the underlying forces at work affecting these
numbers. This can be assisted using scientific models. The fields of study of energy economy and
environmental economy thus play pivotal roles in modeling these equations. Initially proposed by
Yoichi Kaya in 1980, the Kaya Identity is an econometric model which proposes to calculate Co2
emissions using 4 variables strongly associated with industry analysis: GDP Per Capita, Energy
Intensity, Carbon Intensity, and Population. More broadly, the intergovernmental panel and
sustainable scale project uses the Kaya Identity alongside a general model to calculate human
footprint called IPAT to help determine correlations amongst governmental policies and subsequent
ecological implications. IPAT structures a more multiplicative equation to encompass all the
possible variables to calculate the degradation of the environment and aggregate human impact on
surrounding ecosystems (Waggoner, 2002). Variables include Environmental impacts (resource
depletion and waste), effect of population, affluence and effect of consumption levels, and
technology used to transform goods into

The Importance Of Professionalism In Nursing
"Despite enormous changes in society and the way that nursing education and training are delivered,
nursing is arguably still underpinned by professional and key personal values and beliefs" (Kaya,
Isik, Senyuva, & Kaya, 2016, p. 1). There is an expectation from the public that nurses are honest,
caring individuals. According to Gallup's yearly review, nurses have been rated the highest among
professionals for 15 years straight, with 84% of the public rating them high or very high for being
honest individuals. (Norman, 2016). Therefore, the public has high expectations for the character
and professionalism that nurses should possess. Furthermore, within the Code of Ethics for Nurses,
"the first three provisions describe the most fundamental values and commitments of the nurse"
(American Nurses Association, 2001). Throughout the bachelors' education obtained at Viterbo,
nurses are educated and encouraged throughout this outcome. Kaya, et. stated that nursing educators
are challenged with students coming into their educational experience with their own beliefs and
values that they developed throughout their life experiences, and having them leave as nurses who
have implemented their professional values into their practices and behaviors (Kaya, Isik, Senyuva,
& Kaya, 2016, p. 2). I will break down these values first by defining them. Dignity is having respect
for individuality and treating each person as a unique human being. It is the "respect for the inherent

Laura's Identity
2. Laura and the workers The workers are significant in their role as they represent an artificial
image of lower class people. Furthermore, Laura is also influenced by her upbringing which
conveyed a specific impression of working class people. The workers in the garden exist within the
Sheridan's domain, an upper class establishment, which marks them as non–threatening to the
established hierarchies between the social classes. They are an artificial representation of lower
class workers, but they are also the people who mark the change in Laura's class perception and the
initial awareness of social differences. Considering Laura's upbringing and rare ... Show more

Sheridan's most notable feature is her constant consideration of the family's reputation and the
success of the garden party. Roazen argues that people like Mrs. Sheridan lack an individual
character and attempt to imitate others as they cannot "subsist on their shadow personality" (Roazen
???). Therefore Mrs. Sheridan defines herself and her family through their higher position in the
societal hierarchy (Kaya 57). It is substantial to note that Mrs. Sheridan begins to initiate Laura into
the rites of an upper class women and conveys the social morals and values (Kaya 56) by giving her
the task to oversee the workers (336). This process is continued when Mrs. Sheridan instructs a man
on where to place the lilies and asks Laura if she agrees (340). Laura's agreement illustrates her
powerlessness regarding her agency (Dada–Büchel 47) when it comes to her mother and her
mother's control over her agency

Of the 4 articles analyzed, one was a retrospective study that examined demographic and outcome
data for the 125 patients in a group at high risk for venous CRI (Baskin et al., 2014). The second
article was a randomized, controlled experimental study (Duzkaya, 2016). Consecutively, two were
quasiexperimental studies, one consisting of an intervention group who received an antimicrobial
PICC and patients in a nonintervention group who received nonantimicrobial PICCs (Rutkoff,
2014), and the other consisted of 160 participants, where 80 received routine care and the other 80

Another article which also supported the idea of preventing infection by the use of antimicrobial
catheter was "The Influence of an Antimicrobial Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter on Central
Line–Associated Bloodstream Infections in a Hospital Environment" by Glenell S. Rutkoff, MSN,
RN, CGRN. This research included 2 groups consisting of 260 patients each. The nonintervention
group included adult, hospitalized patients who received an unprotected single– or dual lumen PICC
during a 6–month period. The intervention group included adult, hospitalized patients who had the
study antimicrobial PICC placed during a 6–month period. This study found that the 2 groups were
not significantly different when they were compared using c2 for homogeneity of age, gender (P ¼
.09), ethnicity (P ¼ .047), and unit (P ¼ .01). There was a statistically significant decrease in the rate
of CLABSI from 4.18/1,000 catheter days to 0.47/1,000 catheter days when the antimicrobial PICC
was used. With the information provided by both of these research articles it can be concluded that
the implementation of antimicrobial and antibiotic use in central lines, diminishes the risk for
infection (Rutkoff, 2014).
A strategy that was also put into practice to decrease the risk of infections of central lines was the
implementation of Chlorhexidine–impregnated dressings. This strategy was further discussed in the
article "Chlorhexidine–Impregnated Dressings and Prevention of

Examples Of Prepositions In Tagalog
As a student of the Tagalog language, learning these parts of speech can be confusing and may

diligence, and patience one understands and is able to use them like the native speakers do, a greater
step is achieved on the road to Tagalog mastery. Although these last three parts of speech may seem
insignificant, learning them and using them properly will eliminate a lot of misunderstanding in
your conversation among Tagalog speakers and you will be better understood as you try to express
yourself to them. So take heart, and try your best to focus on these practical tips:

The Themes Of Katherine Anne Porter
Kaya 2

Katherine Anne Porter was born in 1890 and she was one of the most influential writers of
American Literature in the 20th century. As a journalist, essayist, short story writer, novelist, and
political activist, she won lots of prizes including the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize.
Porter had a southern and wealthy family and her origins and conditions of life can be easily found
in her literary works and her works deal with dark themes such as betrayal, death and the origin of
human evil. In addition to having a literary identity, she was also dealing with some social and
political problems of her age. Having a southern origin and being a woman from southern caused

relationships of male and females. For example, in the story there are some dialogues that is referred
to men's perspective on women. One of the most important dialogues is between three male friends

Reflection Paper On Child Development
On October 21, 2017, I was able to observe Claire Marcus for my Life–Span Development class.
This observation allowed me observe the physical and cognitive changes children experience. It was
performed at the Marcus household in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This observation was consented
by Claire's mother. Claire Marcus is a seven year–old, female. She enjoys playing sports, having
play dates with her friends, and excelling in school. At age seven, children are going through large
stages of development physically, cognitively, socially, and spiritually. By observing Claire Marcus,
I was able to get a better understanding of these stages of development, and I was able to see her
interact with those around her. It gave me the opportunity to see the different stages of development
that I have read about in Santrock's book, Essentials of Life–Span Development. As stated by
Santrock, children at this age are continually growing. In this stage of life, children grow an average
of two to three inches each year (Santrock 2014, pg. 191). In the last year Claire grew several
inches, and is no longer the shortest girl in her class. She had to get all new clothes and shoes
because she quickly out grew her old ones. During this growth spurt, Claire also began gaining
muscle, and losing her "baby fat." Her mother explained that after Claire's growth spurt she is now
the similar size to her friends and classmates. She is the average height and weight for her age,

Resilience Model
The second component of PsyCap is optimism. Optimistic individuals expect positive outcomes
regardless of their capabilities (You, 2016). When these individuals experience success, they
attribute it to internal and stable processes (You, 2016). In contrast, they attribute failure to
temporary, external and unstable processes (You, 2016). Even after encountering failure, they
remain motivated and move forward with positive expectations (Gurol & Kerimgil, 2010; You,

psychological, physical and mental strength to promote learning and overcome the barriers to
success (Quinones et al., 2017; You, 2016). The current essay described my stress experience and its

American Girl Doll Research Paper
In life, human beings are required to learn and retain a lot of various information. Many people

Graduation Speech
In the back seat, intently listening to the words coming through the speakers, what is this I hear?
Something so soulful, full of emotion, and life, it 's as if I entered into another dimension, floating
on a cloud of serenity. This feeling abruptly ended with a goodbye kiss as I prepare to enter the
school building. I was enjoying my early morning schedule, learning about simple mathematics,
how to get along with my peers, playing at recess, but I couldn 't wait to get lost again, leave the
earthly realm with this wonderful sound of instruments and voices, ever so quietly coming through
my mother's car speakers. The final bell rings, my heart throbs with joy, I get to ride home. Cold,
chilling weather, Mum is asking for a Christmas ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fiddling with the channels, "what 's A.M., F.M.?" Quickly learning the difference, I 'm tuning,
tuning for one of the few urban stations I could find. "Oh on and on and on and on (my cypher
keeps moving like a rolling stone), Whew on and on and on and on (all night till the break of dawn)"
I hear, listening attentively. Song after song I'm lead further away from reality, entering true bliss.
After what felt like days, I 'm awakened for dinner, waking up with a grateful smile. "Thank you
Mum." Hard, rough times, I 'm currently falling behind in school. I no longer have a passion for
academia. Goofing around, trying to "find" myself. Breaking news.....first time we 've ever watched
T.V. during school hours, "I wonder what this is about?" My peers and I stare blankly at the screen,
chaos ensues, and we see buildings are filling with smoke, planes crashed into them. Was it a
mistake? Was it on purpose? My young mind is trying to comprehend the meaning of it all. Home
life is another story at this point; My Mother works all the time and she has a new man in her life.
He's a strict guy, totalitarian like. My heart races (not in a good way) whenever he is around, I
sometimes find myself sweating profusely, wondering why everything feels like trouble. Every
move I make is under a microscope it seems, I feels as if I 'm a ghost that can unfortunately be seen,
and placed in shackles. I haven't felt isolation before, "how do I deal?" Honestly, my one true love is

Peripheral Intravenous Device Insertion Is The Most...
Peripheral intravenous device insertion is the most commonly performed invasive procedure in
hospitalized patients, with an estimated 150 million placed each year in North America alone
(Rickard, McCann, Munnings & McGrail, 2010). They are important for maintaining hydration,
administering medications, providing blood and blood products and even nutrition to the patient, but
are not without their complications. These complications include thrombophlebitis, infiltration and
blood stream infection. Thrombophlebitis is among the most common complications of having
intravenous access. Symptoms of phlebitis include pain, redness, tenderness upon palpation,
swelling and warmth at the IV site and are all related to the inflammation of the vein (Uslusoy &
Mete, 2008). Several studies were completed with the aim to determine predisposing factors that
lead to a patient developing phlebitis. The other research articles discussed looks at the acceptance
of a policy that is supposed to prevent phlebitis and other complications associated with IV access.
Literature Review Research by Pasalioglu & Kaya (2008) looked at factors such as age, gender,
number of catheterizations, the size of the catheter, anatomical site of the IV, administration of
antibiotics, the duration the catheter remained in the vein, the cause of removal of IV and the level
of phlebitis, if present, by utilizing a pre–determined staging key (Pasalioglu & Kaya, 2008).

There was no wind and no clouds that morning, just still air and cold sunshine. The hair in my

I opened the tailgate to excited whines and whimpers. I never go skiing without Jackson and Hailey:
my two best friends, my yin and yang of dogs. Some of you might know Jackson. He's the oversized

The Influence of Historical and Theoretical Factors
Domestic Violence CJCU 416 OL1
Every year in America, there are millions of women who are physically assaulted by their partners
(Tjaden & Thoennes, 2000). This number is staggering. For the purpose of this literature review, I
am defining domestic violence as physical abuse. As domestic violence increases, the need for
intervention ever so in demand. Tjaden & Thoeness (2000), describe how the widespread
occurrence of domestic violence is influenced by historical and theoretical factors and this is evident
with domestic violence intervention. Both of these factors encourage options for treatment for the
victims and abusers of domestic violence.
Kaya & Cook (2010), discusses how a well–known Nation started a major movement which
targeted violence against women. Empowerment of women is a key source in violence intervention.
Previously the traditional role of a woman was to known as a homemaker. Educated women were
rare to find. As society is growing, women have received more political and social rights and feel
more empowered. Women who have access to work and education gain a greater chance of escaping
male violence (Kaya & Cook, 2010). Factors are education, income, age, drug abuse or abuse
history. Prevention tactics at this level are often considered to stimulate attitudes, beliefs, and
behaviors that in the end reduce violence. Kaya & Cook (2010) also

My Love In My Life
Nobody ever told me life would be hard. I discovered that two years ago. As a little girl I thought I
would live a happily ever after life just like in the movies. Beautiful dresses, charming princes,
animal sidekicks, and dazzling palaces. But that only comes true in dreams. And dreams do come
true. When it's a nightmare. I woke up, breathing heavily. I dreamt about the crash. Boom! It was all
over from there. She was gone now and would never return. I got out of my bed. My day started like
normal. The sun is shining through my windows. I went to my bathroom and stripped off my
pajamas. The shower was cold, just like me with no sun or warmth. She was the best person in my
life. Always there for me when I never was for her. I looked in the mirror as I walked out the door,
hanging in the foyer beside the mirror was a steering wheel. I walked back in forgetting my purse.
My hair was flowing down my shoulders and around my back. The dark brown of it made my eyes
look bluer than usual with a hint of grey. My cheeks were pale and my lips, a soft natural pink. My
freckles were visible against the paleness of my skin. I grabbed a grey cardigan to pull over my
white, short sleeve tee and my crossbody purse. i headed out the door. I heard a bark. I turned and
noticed it was Bruno, my rescue dog. The air was a mix of warm. The air hit me like a rock hit the

Psychosocial Care of Children in Intensive Care Unit

CCLD446 Children and Chronic Illness
Professor Jennifer Butterly & Sarah Patterson

Introduction According to Erik Erikson's theory of psychosocial development, successful
completion of each developmental stage results in a healthy personality and the acquisition of basic
virtue. The individual experience the conflict at each stage of development and it is crucial to
resolve the conflict in order to successfully move to the next stage. Respectively, developmental
approach is the most commonly used method in pediatrics to address the psychosocial needs of
hospitalized children (Ivey, 2006). This paper will closely examine all children who are admitted
into Intensive Care Units (ICUs) in general without focusing on neither particular age group nor
chronic illness. Furthermore, discuss children's psychosocial adaption to ICU and the negative
implications on their development in terms of physical health such as unstable attachment, isolation
from families and friends. Furthermore, address strategies while working with children in the ICU to
prevent any negative implications.

One would think there are enough conflicts to be had in the Middle East. The area is simply a
breeding ground for turmoil, and has been for centuries. Of the many conflicts that revolve around
the areas history, politics, religion, territory or ethnicity, one more can be added to the group: water.
These societies all need water, but not all have the same resources to get to that water. What is the
hotbed of vice in this situation is only a few of the countries in the Middle East have total control
over their own water, leaving most of the others to depend on the graces of those few countries to

If a river is located in multiple countries, often the country downstream will find itself at odds with
the country that is located upstream. According to the Water: fuel for conflict in the Middle East

country downstream was better able to utilize the rivers water for agriculture and industry, but

The lifeline of Iraq has always been the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, but most of the water from
these rivers originates in another country. Eighty–eight percent of the water from the Euphrates
River originates in Turkey, with the remainder from two rivers that enter in Syria (Francona). One
expert has gone as far to say that 98% of the Euphrates starts in Turkey (Kaya). That leaves virtually
nothing added to the river from water in Iraq, meaning that Iraqs supply of water from the Euphrates
is totally dependant on the nature of control that Turkey and Syria have over the river. The Tigris
largely originates in Turkey as well, supplying as much as 51% of the annual water volume, while

Welcome to the Realm of Love
Welcome to the realm of love
You dream of an unfamiliar hand being placed on your elbow. It is tender and adoring, but at the
same moment it has a gargantuan power that easily lifts you awake. You are suspended over a
countryside at dawn. You gaze downward and you realize that this cosmic expanse extending out to
the horizon and distant beyond it is all your property. The existence you have endured and have yet
to live stretches out beneath you. It's surprisingly gigantic, a complete continent sheltered with a
subtle cobalt vapor. You can scarcely familiarize yourself, but you worship this territory from deep
within your spirit. You marvel at that, but just for a short minute, because it then occurs to you what
this immeasurable immense and magnificent ground beneath you is: it's called love.
As you slowly drift downwards, you are still gazing, lost in thought, at the landscape before your
eyes. You touch down gently, grateful to feel the earth below your feet. A delicate fog surrounds
you. You see a light in front of and up above you. A mighty tower looms before you. Completely
solitary, it rises from the landscape like a pillar. It is beautiful and strangely familiar, as if you had
been there many times before.
Light comes from a small window set high in the facade. Something wonderful is shining there,
gentle and friendly. As you walk around the tower, you see an open door. You go inside, where a
broad, winding staircase greets you. Each step, each stone is familiar.

Becoming Who I Am

  • 1. Becoming Who I Am Becoming Who I Am I was born on June 27th, 2001. I was named after the month I was born in. June May Jones is my full name. I was supposed to be born in May, but was very late. Now, in the year of 2016, I will be turning 14. I am in 8th grade and the youngest in my class. Making a transition from elementary school to now Jr. High, and almost high school, was one of the hardest things. Since I live in Chicago, IL, I go to a different school often. It's hard to make friends here, of course. Moving in transitions like that is very hard. Up until my mom died, we always used to move because she was a teacher and was moved a lot around the city. I never went to her schools though. My dad is my only friend. It is as well hard to make friends ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I was grateful to have him in my life. We'd been through so much together. Mom's death, car accidents, moving, changes, and all of that. That morning, I got dressed, in my, then, new hot pink 60's dress and a my black leather jacket. I promised myself I would make a difference this year, you know, in my personality. I had just gotten my hair dyed to auburn and I looked like a whole different person. I had wanted a 60's look, and that's sort of what I got. I arrived at school 10 minutes late because I got lost and forgot my phone at home. It was alright because the teacher, Mrs. Harrison, was nice. That day turned out to be the best day of my life because all the people there was nice and grateful. It was just perfect. Everyone said they loved me and that they wanted to be my friend. I got home that night in a good mood. Dad had to work late because he had just got the job. He got home around 9 o'clock. I was still up and doing homework. But little did I know, that was the last time I ever see him come home. The morning, I got up to the sound of my alarm clock. I went to the kitchen expecting dad to be making breakfast, but he wasn't there. I went into his bedroom and saw him on the floor. A sharp pain hit my heart and I ran to him. I shook him, but he didn't wake. I knew what to do in these situations. I found his cell phone and called 911. I said, "Hello, this is June Jones calling from the Jones household on East Homes Street 3456. My father is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Definition Of Success As Kaya Clow Sees Success As Kaya Clow Sees it Success is in the eye of the beholder. The definition of success has many meanings. It could mean how high a person reaches in their career, how well they do in school, how fit they are, how smart they are, how beautiful or handsome they are and even how much money they make. Success to me is being happy with who I am and not to try be someone else. I don't have to be the best athlete, the prettiest girl in the class or on earth or the smartest, most intelligent kid on the planet. Success is doing your best with what you have in life. I would like to get high marks in all my classes at Craig Kielburger and university. However, if I can look at myself in the mirror and say, "I honestly did my best" then ... • 4. Family Theme In Nyxia One theme seed seen throughout the novel Nyxia by Scott Reintgen is family. In the beginning of the novel Emmett goes with the Bible company due to the fact that if he wins the prize would be 50 thousand a month for the rest of his life as well as free access and treatment at medical centers courtesy of Babel. My thinking is that the free access and treatment at medical centers is the real reason he is there, as it even says so in the beginning of the book. His mother has breast cancer and kidney disease so winning could very well save her life. The first basic theme of family I found in this novel was family can cause people to do things they never would have considered before. (Emmett went to space on a trip out of our own solar system for the chance to help his Mom survive) Some evidence to support this claim would be found on page 18. This is where Emmet goes on a journey out of the solar system to try and get money for his mother who has cancer. My thinking on this is that Emmett's family is poor, and bable can control him through his desire to win and get his mother medical care. This leads me to think about a possible theme that would be connected to the larger idea of family, control and using one's family to control them. Emmett's family seems very supportive of him even though he has had a rocky past and the family has fallen upon hard times and his father leaves him with the message, bend the rules, break them if you must, Just be true to who you are. • 5. The Philadelphia School Project Approach "Project Approach is an in–depth investigation of a topic worth learning more about" (Morrison, 2012). A small group of children within a class, sometimes a whole class, and occasionally an individual child carry out an investigation with the purpose to search for answers to questions about a topic worth learning more about, something the children are interested in (Morrison, 2012). It benefits the children due to the fact that it makes them thinking in a higher level. Children's enthusiasm for a specific subject convey them to ask questions, make decisions about what they are going to do keeping in mind the end goal to research and use real life experience. • 6. Classrooms Are Typically Undesirable Learning Environments... Classrooms are typically undesirable learning environments. Most classrooms can evoke negative emotions such as boredom, sadness, stress, and even anxiety. In grade school, high school, and sometimes college, it can be difficult for people to go to class and pay attention for long periods; most students end up daydreaming out the window or dozing off instead of focusing on the task. Teachers want their students to perform well academically, which is not as likely when students are not able to focus for long periods. Some high school classrooms can be extremely dull causing a student's mood to become dreary therefore causing the student to lose focus. An alternative method to help elongate student's attention span is with color. Color is in everyone 's day–to–day lives and has a large impact on emotions and feelings (Kaya and Epps, 2004). It is known that different emotions can evoke different feelings, both positive and negative, from people (Kaya and Epps, 2004). For example, the color green has been associated with earth and nature, which causes people to feel positive feelings such as relaxed and calm. Yellow is also associated with the positive feelings of happiness and excitement because it is associated with the season of summer and the sun. Red, however, is a color that can create both negative feelings and positive feelings. While some may see red as the color of romance and love, others may see it linked to evil, blood, or war (Kaya and Epps, 2004). Since ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is frustrating, you feel like everyone is talking about things you can barely understand or remember. People start asking questions or telling you things you don't even know about yourself. Kaya Rose had to deal with this when she was 20 years old, but faith helps her to go through it and beat the odds. Kaya's mother didn't want her to go to the University of Minnesota's party. Just looking at the data it appears that Kaya may have some difficulty socializing with other children and the cause could be several things. I am supporting this with the fact that the high frequency behaviors are those classified as off–task, the fact that Kaya has difficulty making eye contact for more than 3 consecutive seconds. Unfortunately, the interval data does not give me the cause or antecedent of what could be causing this type of behavior. • 11. Critical Analysis Model A Critical Analysis of The Kaya Identity: OLS Estimator Modeling, Variable Specification, Renewable Energy, and Multicollinearity Laurie Alexis Sauvageau–Robillard Clarkson University April 29,2017 Abstract The following analysis attempts to understand how to best formulate a stochastic model using empirical data and the proposed Kaya Identity, as well as further explore components of the IPAT equation that measures human impact on the surrounding ecological system. Using Quarterly Data from the United States from 1980–2016, an econometric critique and environmental exploration of datasets, regression functions, and pitfalls of the latter will help further examine previous works on the use of the Kaya Identity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, it is in turn beneficial to understand the underlying forces at work affecting these numbers. This can be assisted using scientific models. The fields of study of energy economy and environmental economy thus play pivotal roles in modeling these equations. Initially proposed by Yoichi Kaya in 1980, the Kaya Identity is an econometric model which proposes to calculate Co2 emissions using 4 variables strongly associated with industry analysis: GDP Per Capita, Energy Intensity, Carbon Intensity, and Population. More broadly, the intergovernmental panel and sustainable scale project uses the Kaya Identity alongside a general model to calculate human footprint called IPAT to help determine correlations amongst governmental policies and subsequent ecological implications. IPAT structures a more multiplicative equation to encompass all the possible variables to calculate the degradation of the environment and aggregate human impact on surrounding ecosystems (Waggoner, 2002). Variables include Environmental impacts (resource depletion and waste), effect of population, affluence and effect of consumption levels, and technology used to transform goods into ... • 12. The Importance Of Professionalism In Nursing "Despite enormous changes in society and the way that nursing education and training are delivered, nursing is arguably still underpinned by professional and key personal values and beliefs" (Kaya, Isik, Senyuva, & Kaya, 2016, p. 1). There is an expectation from the public that nurses are honest, caring individuals. According to Gallup's yearly review, nurses have been rated the highest among professionals for 15 years straight, with 84% of the public rating them high or very high for being honest individuals. (Norman, 2016). Therefore, the public has high expectations for the character and professionalism that nurses should possess. Furthermore, within the Code of Ethics for Nurses, "the first three provisions describe the most fundamental values and commitments of the nurse" (American Nurses Association, 2001). Throughout the bachelors' education obtained at Viterbo, nurses are educated and encouraged throughout this outcome. Kaya, et. stated that nursing educators are challenged with students coming into their educational experience with their own beliefs and values that they developed throughout their life experiences, and having them leave as nurses who have implemented their professional values into their practices and behaviors (Kaya, Isik, Senyuva, & Kaya, 2016, p. 2). • 13. Laura's Identity 2. Laura and the workers The workers are significant in their role as they represent an artificial image of lower class people. Furthermore, Laura is also influenced by her upbringing which conveyed a specific impression of working class people. The workers in the garden exist within the Sheridan's domain, an upper class establishment, which marks them as non–threatening to the established hierarchies between the social classes. They are an artificial representation of lower class workers, but they are also the people who mark the change in Laura's class perception and the initial awareness of social differences. Sheridan's most notable feature is her constant consideration of the family's reputation and the success of the garden party. Roazen argues that people like Mrs. Sheridan lack an individual character and attempt to imitate others as they cannot "subsist on their shadow personality" (Roazen ???). Therefore Mrs. Sheridan defines herself and her family through their higher position in the societal hierarchy (Kaya 57). It is substantial to note that Mrs. Sheridan begins to initiate Laura into the rites of an upper class women and conveys the social morals and values (Kaya 56) by giving her the task to oversee the workers (336). This process is continued when Mrs. Sheridan instructs a man on where to place the lilies and asks Laura if she agrees (340). Of the 4 articles analyzed, one was a retrospective study that examined demographic and outcome data for the 125 patients in a group at high risk for venous CRI (Baskin et al., 2014). The second article was a randomized, controlled experimental study (Duzkaya, 2016). Consecutively, two were quasiexperimental studies, one consisting of an intervention group who received an antimicrobial PICC and patients in a nonintervention group who received nonantimicrobial PICCs (Rutkoff, 2014), and the other consisted of 160 participants, where 80 received routine care and the other 80 received a different nursing protocol (Kaya et al., 2016). Another article which also supported the idea of preventing infection by the use of antimicrobial catheter was "The Influence of an Antimicrobial Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter on Central Line–Associated Bloodstream Infections in a Hospital Environment" by Glenell S. The nonintervention group included adult, hospitalized patients who received an unprotected single– or dual lumen PICC during a 6–month period. The intervention group included adult, hospitalized patients who had the study antimicrobial PICC placed during a 6–month period. This study found that the 2 groups were not significantly different when they were compared using c2 for homogeneity of age, gender (P ¼ .09), ethnicity (P ¼ .047), and unit (P ¼ .01). There was a statistically significant decrease in the rate of CLABSI from 4.18/1,000 catheter days to 0.47/1,000 catheter days when the antimicrobial PICC was used. With the information provided by both of these research articles it can be concluded that the implementation of antimicrobial and antibiotic use in central lines, diminishes the risk for infection (Rutkoff, 2014). Solorio Bradman University Fall 1 2016 The Influence of Historical and Theoretical Factors Domestic Violence CJCU 416 OL1 Every year in America, there are millions of women who are physically assaulted by their partners (Tjaden & Thoennes, 2000). This number is staggering. For the purpose of this literature review, I am defining domestic violence as physical abuse. As domestic violence increases, the need for intervention ever so in demand. Tjaden & Thoeness (2000), describe how the widespread occurrence of domestic violence is influenced by historical and theoretical factors and this is evident with domestic violence intervention. Both of these factors encourage options for treatment for the victims and abusers of domestic violence. Kaya & Cook (2010), discusses how a well–known Nation started a major movement which targeted violence against women. Empowerment of women is a key source in violence intervention. Previously the traditional role of a woman was to known as a homemaker. Educated women were rare to find. As society is growing, women have received more political and social rights and feel more empowered. Women who have access to work and education gain a greater chance of escaping male violence (Kaya & Cook, 2010). Factors are education, income, age, drug abuse or abuse history. • 37. My Love In My Life Nobody ever told me life would be hard. I discovered that two years ago. As a little girl I thought I would live a happily ever after life just like in the movies. Beautiful dresses, charming princes, animal sidekicks, and dazzling palaces. But that only comes true in dreams. And dreams do come true. When it's a nightmare. I woke up, breathing heavily. I dreamt about the crash. Boom! It was all over from there. She was gone now and would never return. I got out of my bed. My day started like normal. The sun is shining through my windows. I went to my bathroom and stripped off my pajamas. The shower was cold, just like me with no sun or warmth. She was the best person in my life. Always there for me when I never was for her. I looked in the mirror as I walked out the door, hanging in the foyer beside the mirror was a steering wheel. I walked back in forgetting my purse. My hair was flowing down my shoulders and around my back. The dark brown of it made my eyes look bluer than usual with a hint of grey. My cheeks were pale and my lips, a soft natural pink. My freckles were visible against the paleness of my skin. I grabbed a grey cardigan to pull over my white, short sleeve tee and my crossbody purse. i headed out the door. I heard a bark. I turned and noticed it was Bruno, my rescue dog. The air was a mix of warm. The air hit me like a rock hit the cement, hard and fast. I was very thankful for sweatpants keeping my legs warm. Before I left I grabbed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The area is simply a breeding ground for turmoil, and has been for centuries. Of the many conflicts that revolve around the areas history, politics, religion, territory or ethnicity, one more can be added to the group: water. These societies all need water, but not all have the same resources to get to that water. What is the hotbed of vice in this situation is only a few of the countries in the Middle East have total control over their own water, leaving most of the others to depend on the graces of those few countries to manage their water magnanimously enough to supply them with what they need. The lifeline of Iraq has always been the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, but most of the water from these rivers originates in another country. Eighty–eight percent of the water from the Euphrates River originates in Turkey, with the remainder from two rivers that enter in Syria (Francona). One expert has gone as far to say that 98% of the Euphrates starts in Turkey (Kaya). That leaves virtually nothing added to the river from water in Iraq, meaning that Iraqs supply of water from the Euphrates is totally dependant on the nature of control that Turkey and Syria have over the river. The Tigris largely originates in Turkey as well, supplying as much as 51% of the annual water volume, while Iraq has its only claim to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. Welcome to the Realm of Love Welcome to the realm of love You dream of an unfamiliar hand being placed on your elbow. It is tender and adoring, but at the same moment it has a gargantuan power that easily lifts you awake. You are suspended over a countryside at dawn. You gaze downward and you realize that this cosmic expanse extending out to the horizon and distant beyond it is all your property. The existence you have endured and have yet to live stretches out beneath you. It's surprisingly gigantic, a complete continent sheltered with a subtle cobalt vapor. You can scarcely familiarize yourself, but you worship this territory from deep within your spirit. You marvel at that, but just for a short minute, because it then occurs to you what this immeasurable immense and magnificent ground beneath you is: it's called love. As you slowly drift downwards, you are still gazing, lost in thought, at the landscape before your eyes. You touch down gently, grateful to feel the earth below your feet. A delicate fog surrounds you. You see a light in front of and up above you. A mighty tower looms before you. Completely solitary, it rises from the landscape like a pillar. It is beautiful and strangely familiar, as if you had been there many times before. Light comes from a small window set high in the facade. Something wonderful is shining there, gentle and friendly. As you walk around the tower, you see an open door. You go inside, where a broad, winding staircase greets you. Each step, each stone is familiar. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
