Abstract In this paper, A bidirectional full connected dc dc converter with a change
proportion around nine times, delicate start up, and delicate exchanging elements for
PMDC motor drive is proposed in this paper. The converter is furnished with a
dynamic flyback and two inactive capacitor diode snubbers, which can diminish
voltage and current spikes and lessen voltage and current burdens, while it can
accomplish almost zero voltage exchanging and zero present exchanging delicate
exchanging element. Simulation results are presented using MATLAB/ SIMULINK
software.

IN RENEWABLE dc supply systems, batteries area unit usually required to back up
power for electronic equipment. Their voltage levels are generally abundant under
the dc bus voltage. Bidirectional converters for charging/discharging the batteries
area unit thus needed. For high powered applications, bridge type bidirectional
converters have become a very important analysis topic over the past decade. For
raising power level, a dual full bridge configuration is sometimes adopted

Changing Face of Stroke: Implications for Occupational Therapy Practice Stroke is
the number one leading cause of adult disability, and it is estimated that
approximately 7 million Americans are living with the effects of stroke. The direct
and indirect cost of stroke in the United States was approximately $53.6 billion,
with a mean lifetime cost estimated at $140,048 (American Heart Association,
2004) and each year, approximately 795,000 people have either a new or recurrent
stroke (Go et al., 2013). The profession of occupational therapy was founded on the
principles of occupation and participation, and these principles have now become
central concepts in the definition of health (Baum, 2003). Much of the research and
clinical work in occupational therapy is based at an activity level that allows people
to manage themselves and engage in work, leisure and fitness activities.... Show more

calendar year where many of the heavy precipitation months are totally opposite.
Berkeley California s winters, where the majority of rain occurs and Terre Haute,
Indiana where the rainfall is observed as consistently disseminated throughout the

6. Donde Nadie Pueda Ir Meaning
My favorite piece of music has to be Donde Nadie Pueda Ir by Manuel Medrano.
This song falls under the genre of Pop Latino. Essentially the song is about that one
person that completes you and want to do everything with and how the person that
is expressing this is always going to be there at anytime and anywhere. This feeling
is depicted through the lyrics using simple similes to describe such a strong feeling
that makes it easier for the listener to decipher. The simplicity of instruments and
easiness to decipher the meaning is what makes it such a great song to me because
you could actually adjust it to your liking and play it. Although, when you try to play
it in a guitar the chords become complicated. Nevertheless, the challenge to... Show

The drums are slightly struck due to the light sound they make. You could already
tell the melody of the song from the get go with the piano. You also began to hear
the sounds of a guitar and the drums in the background. The drums and piano
complement each other because when the piano stops playing the drums keep
playing and vice versa. The guitar comes into play to cut off certain parts of the
song and it seems to cut of towards the middle but slowly picks back up towards the
end. The guitar is struck and then muted as soon as it is struck. At towards the
middle of the song there are violins that complement the ongoing rhythm. Towards
the middle there are sounds that seem to be generated by a computer, but it is hard
to describe what it is. There is rhythm within this song that flows through the whole
song. The voice in this song is unique because not a lot of artist have a raspy deep
voice that goes together with all these instruments. After replying the song over and
over, I did not realize how well put together the song is and the important role that the
instruments played at certain parts of the
7. Sexual Harassment on The Office
The Office was an NBC Mockumentary that for nine years followed the day to day
operations of a mid range paper supply company called Dunder Mifflin. The office
manager was an eccentric, at times wildly misunderstood man named Michael Scott.
Throughout his time as office manager, Michael led his employees through the gamut
of human emotions. In some situations, in the real world, many of the situations that
Michael found himself in may have ended with him on the receiving end of a
lawsuit. Michael had a particularly challenging time resisting the urge to sexually
harass his employees, not just the female employees, but the male ones as well. Due
to the numerous inappropriate incidences that Michael caused in his own office, I
feel strongly that Michael Scott was not fit to be the officemanager at Dunder Mifflin.
Sexual Harassment is any repeated unwanted behavior of a sexual nature perpetrated
by one person upon another. Workplace sexual harassment is a topic that has been
discussed in depth over the past six decades. The Civil Rights act of 1964 saw the
beginning of the end for the normalization of sexual harassment in the workplace.
The United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has allowed for strict
penalties for those found guilty of workplace sexual harassment, punishments range
from probation to termination. In todays climate, workplace sexual harassment is
something that employers take very seriously. According to a Catalyst Workplace

8. The Hobbit Essay Bilbo Baggins
The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien, is centered on Bilbo Baggins, the classical hero
who starts out as an average hobbit in an immense world, goes on an adventure and
begins find his special gifts that are unique to him, and returns to his old way of
life having been changed forever. Bilbo Baggins is a very respectable hobbit living
in the Shire. He is just a tiny speck in the vast expanse of Middle Earth and what
lies beyond. By a rule, hobbits are to strive for respect from their fellow hobbits.
Consequently, it is extremely rare and looked down upon for a hobbit such as
Bilbo to venture out of his comfortable hobbit hole and embark on an adventure . In
Bilbo s own words, adventures are nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make
you late for dinner! So like a classical hero, Bilbo starts out as an everyman denying
any sort of adventures that come his way. However he may deny it, his Tookish
side, or the more adventurous side of his ancestry, is ever present within Bilbo. The
dwarves, also on this adventure along with Bilbo, can t see any use in bringing him
along, but Gandalf the wizard assures them that Bilbo has greatness within him and
they will one day thank him for bringing him. As he says himself while talking to
the dwarves, I brought him, and I don t bring things that are of no use. If we can

Aristotle and Heidegger Allowing Personal Accountability
A disquieting article recently appeared in The New York Times. The article
chronicles the story of Larry W. Peterman, resident of Provo, Utah, owner of a
successful adult video store, and defendant in a case in which he was charged with
selling obscene material. During Peterman s trial, the following information came to
the fore, As it turned out, people in Utah County, a place that often boasts of being the
most conservative area in the nation, were disproportionately large consumers of the
very videos that prosecutors had labeled obscene and illegal. And far more Utah
County residents were getting their adult movies from the sky or cable than they

Heidegger s penetrating analysis of human action yields as we will discover much
insight into why we as humans are prone to weakness, which he defines in loosely
social constructionist terms that still allow for a large measure of personal
accountability. However, in the end we shall see that Aristotle goes further than
Heidegger in explaining human weakness because his model of action (1)
encompasses key aspects of Heidegger s carefully executed existential analytic and
(2) allows for more personal accountability by giving a wider account of action that
allows for voluntary action that is chosen by deliberation in addition to merely
voluntary action.
Dasein, Modes of Being, and Being in the world
John Caputo of Villanova University relates that in Being and Time, Heidegger
wishes to find a new conceptuality in which to indicate, however formally, the
character of the pretheoretical, prephilosophical, indeed even a preconceptual life.
This provocative and paradoxical task, to find a concept for the preconceptual, was
undertaken in close dialog ... with Aristotle s ethics. 55 Simon Critchley tells us that
the aim of Being and Time is to retrieve the question of Being as it was originally
explicated by Aristotle and Plato.66 However, to understand fully Heidegger s
relation to Aristotle, we must first understand Heidegger s project from
11. Holden Caulfield Relevant Today
Many consider The Catcher in the Rye to be the most poignant and popular story of
adolescence in American literature. Reading reviews, examining the public reception,
and uncovering depths of research would evidence this well. However, the value of
the novel rests not in its popularity a simple sign of its inherent value but in its ability
to resonate truth. More than merely telling a story, Salinger creates a relatable life
through the actions and attitudes of his ornery adolescent character Holden Caulfield.
Even though Holden can be annoying and the setting of the novel dated, his
perspective of the world makes The Catcher in the Rye just as relevant to Australian
teenagers today as it was back in 1951 when first published. The characterization...

This continues to make the novel just as relevant to Australian youth in 2018.
During his meeting with his history teacher Mr Spencer, before Holden leaves
Pencey, he explains why he left Elkon Hills. He attributes, One of the biggest
reasons I left... was because I was surrounded by phonies. They were coming in the
god damn window...Mr Haas... was the phoniest bastard you ve ever seen. (pg. 12)
Holden s reference to the adjective phonies is the first of many references to people
who he sees as fake, superficial and lacking authenticity. Naming the principal, an
adult in a position of authority as a phony coupled with a derogatory insult such as
bastard indicates his negative and critical view of those who he sees as fake,
particularly adults. This view makes the novel resonate with so many teens today.
Moreover, his scepticism of phonies is eptimized in his description of his brother
D.B he tells the reader that now [D.B] is out in Hollywood... being a prostitute. If
there s one thing I hate, it s the movies, (pg.1). Through the first person narration
and the language choice of the noun prostitute it is clear that Holden views
Hollywood as the center of superficiality a world where nothing is genuine or real.
The strong language choice of the verb hate , illustrates Holden s negative views of
this aspect of the adult world. This scepticism of a lack of authenticity in the world
makes the novel relatable to a contemporary audience. A Forbes article entitle
Authenticity: The Way To The Millennial s Heart, outlines that authenticity can be
considered to be one of the ten values regarded as most essential to youth. As
teenagers our world view is influenced by technology and social media. Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram the plethora of social media has made it easier to fake it. Before
any scheduled meeting, strangers can simply Google your name

The first line of the poem has assonance. In the phrase down town, (1.1.533) the
vowel sound ow is repeated. The second line of the poem has an example of
alliteration when the words people and pavement are used. The p sound is
repeated. In line eight the phrase he glittered when he walked is an example of a
hyperbole.Indeed, Robinson used imagery in Richard Cory . For example, Robinson
says from sole to crown (1.3.533) and richer than a king (3.9.534). He uses these
words to show how Richrd Cory is seen by the townspeople. The townspeople see
him as a well mannered gentleman that is well dressed, wearing a lot of jewelry
and have it all. However, when Robinson says he glittered when he walked is to give
a specific image for the reader. Another poetic device that Robinson used is
connotations. For example, Robinson says Whenever Richard Cory went down town.
This means that Richard Cory is coming down, lowering himself, to the level of the
townspeople when he comes into town. Robinson shows the differences between the
townspeople and Richard Cory financial status. However,he also shows that it is the
townspeople, and not Richard Cory, that makes wealth the difference between

Our chakra system consists of eight main chakras with each chakra situated at a
different body points. If you need to check the health of the chakra, it is reflected
by the health of body region where chakra is positioned. The chakras are connected
with our personality traits and are centers of energy within our body. Our body
consists of eight main chakras, each located at different positions and associated with

There are energy healers who help in opening of the chakras, balancing them as well
as putting energy in them. But there are some other ways too to achieve the same. In
the preceding paragraphs we will learn different ways to open up the chakras.
To open the chakras you need to first imagine light glowing at each chakra and the
beginning of this is done at the root chakra or the base. The color of this light is
red due to this chakra color being red. One way to open the chakras is by making
use of binaural beats whose effect is immediately seen. This method also saves you
from years of intense meditation training for opening of the chakras. Isochronic tones
and monaural beats are some other ways to open the chakras.
The next way is to practice meditation for opening the chakras. Anyone can get into
this practice. There are spiritual masters who have all their chakras open and our
three chakras positioned at the spine bottom are already open. The heart chakra, the
fourth chakra is closed for many people. If this heart chakra is open, then you are
able to give out love and compassion. By practicing meditation you will be able to
open the higher chakras which are the centers of

This is to remind you that he gets the feeling from coca cola and also plays a part
in the anchorage of the whole advert. The fourth extract is of three coke bottles
dancing. This implies that the coca cola has so much energy in it, the bottles even
move themselves. This is an insight into the effect it has on us. This is also when
the caption dance disappears. This could be because the writing on the coke
bottles is similar to the writing in the caption and so this shows the connection
between action and movement (dance) and coca cola. The cola bottle also moves
to the beat of the backing track. The fifth part is of a night gowned dancer in an
attic bedroom. The main colour in this one is yellow which, to me, represents
warmth, sunshine and summer. This could be to show that coca cola is best drunk
when it is summer and it is really hot weather. Also with the clip being in a
bedroom it shows that coca cola can wake you up even if you are sleepy at the end
of the day and it puts you on a high. The aspect of being on a high is also shown

Lastly there is adaptive thermogenesis Which is the energy expenditure that happens
when a change of temperature of physiological stress happens on the body. Like a

more energyto keep the body heat up if the surrounding energies are below the

sport performance because your body will be using more energy to keep your body

Nurses is an essential job in the healthcare world. Through the nursing assistants to
practical nurses to listed nurses, the field of nursing has many functions that play
an important part in patient attention. If you re a caring person who enjoys
supporting others, then a nurses program could be a great option for you. To
celebrate nurses and all they actually, we re offering four fun facts about the
history of nurses. 1. The first nursing jobs school opened in the year 250 BCE The
earliest recorded great medical distinguishes their roles as midwives and wet rns.
One of the first historically recorded nursing colleges was established in India in
250 B. C. E. In that time period, the Buddhist Native american indian ruler, Ashoka,
ordered clinics to be built along the key travelling routes. These kinds of hospitals
were supplied with nurses and medicines to help the sick and weary. 2. Nursing

Remote Sensing of Aerosols, Clouds, and Precipitation

BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND READERSHIP
The atmospheric parameters, including, aerosols, clouds, and precipitation, play very
important role in our Earth s climate system. The climate feedbacks influencing the
global climate variability are directly or indirectly affected by aerosols, clouds, and
precipitation, and thus, modulate the Earth s radiation and surface energy balance.
Therefore, global observations of aerosols, clouds, and precipitation are crucial not
only to better understand the processes involved in the climate system but also to
predict the future climate change.
Satellite remote sensing as a tool can be very valuable to acquire such global
observations of aerosols, clouds, and precipitation for monitoring Earth s climate
system. In particular, some of the regions in the Earth are not easily accessible to
obtain in situ data while on those regions; space borne instruments can act as
complimentary data sources. Besides, large scale data mapping and monitoring are
only feasible with space based observations.
A good progress has been made in the recent years in dealing with remote sensing of
the aerosols, clouds, and precipitation using satellite measurements for global
observations. Notably, the remote sensing
22. The Power Of The National Territory
Taking in account Max Weber definition of a successful state, a failed state can be
defined as a state fully incapable of exercising power within its boundaries, its
failure to provide basic goods to its citizens, such as political and social needs, and
incapable of exercising the monopoly of the legitimate use of physical force.
Although in a weak states, like Colombia, Indonesia, Thailand, the state is still able
to provide some political goods to its citizens and exercise power in much of the
national territory, in a failed state this is not the case. The failed state is indeed
unable to provide basic and economic needs to its citizens. The nature of the failed
state varies across geographical regions, colonial history, and political
circumstances. However, they share some economic and political features. Human
insecurity pervades in every aspects of a failed state, from social tensions to civil
wars, from geography to corruption and external actors, whose presence in many
cases proceeds to worsen situations. The vast majority of failed states lack in
security and violate most of the human rights of their citizens while at the same
time fail to ensure basic social services. Moreover, failed states are characterized by
huge inequalities. The gap between the rich and the poor is extremely high, where
just a small percentage lives wealthy, while the vast majority of the population
starves everyday. Elite models deliver financial rewards only to favourite families,
clans
23. Scarface The Movie Psychology
In this essay I decided to watch the movie Scarface (1932). This movie is directed
by Howard Hawks and Richard Rosson. Its lead actors are Osgood Perkins, Paul
Muni, Ann Dvorak, and Karen Morley. Scarface is a film about guns, gangsters,
and pretty woman, it follows a story of a fast rising gangster who lives by the moto
the world is yours, but once he finds himself at the top he is quick to find his world
is tumbling down around him.
Looking at scenes of sexual innuendo the film handled it with showing minor skin
or even kissing. One scene of a sexual innuendo is the dialogue with Tony (Paul
Muni) and Poppy (Karen Morley). In this scene you hear Tony say I m not hungry.
Except for you. You got something I like hinting to Poppy that he is interested in
her more than he is food. Even with the films restrictions on not showing a lot of
skin or even a sex scene the directors were able to still put their points across to what
the characters implied, and that there was a sense of romance between the two
without having to show any explicated scenes. ... Show more content on

because in the entire film the only blood you really ever see is on the sleeve of
Johnny Lovo (Osgood Perkins) when he is clipped by a bullet. Even with the
restrictions the directors had for the time I found it refreshing to see that I was able
to understand the crisis that was happing but not have it required by the director to
have a shock factor of blood and

Oh how I remember the days where I would wake up at 8am to watch my favorite
cartoon shows. I would eat my breakfast in front of the tv and watch the new
episodes that would air. Whether it be the classics like Tom and Jerry or Looney
Tunes, or some new shows like Foster s Home for Imaginary friends or the
PowerPuff Girls. Watching these cartoons brought me solace and joy. It would bring
me to its world of wonder and spectre.
To this day, these shows have taught me many values and morals that I follow and

again devastated by what they had said. This time I was sure that I had gotten them to
change their minds. I actually thought that this would be the one to shut them down.
So, I went back to the drawing boards and wondered about what it was that I had
messed up on. I sat there looking down at the drawing, when I noticed that it
looked like it had been rushed. It was covered with curved and out of sync lines.
The eraser marks made the picture look all dark and muddy with all of the smudges
that they had left. I finally realized what was so wrong with my draws. I had rushed
all of them.
At this point, I didn t know what to do. I had hit a roadblock with nowhere to turn.
I felt like my dreams were over and that I would never be able to animate my ideas.
The next couple of months I spent my time on other things as I looked for a new
pasion. But, none could fill the emptiness of drawing. The joys of sending your
ideas down the pencil expressway to its stop at paperway station. It felt amazing and
nothing could replace that feeling for me. So, I thought that I would give it another

drawing with ease. After every correction, I would wipe off the eraser

Answer: Distillation is a method for separating a liquid from a solid or from another
liquid in which the liquid is boiled off and then recondensed (Yee, n.d.,
Distilliation). It works because the substance you are looking to distill is boiled off
recondensed and separated. It can be used to purify liquids from solids or from other
liquids (Yee, n.d., Distillation).
(b) (2 pts) Describe the apparatus and setup for a distillation. Include all components.
Answer: The distillation apparatus consists of a round bottom flask connected
through an adapter to a condenser, which is connected through another adapter to a
second round bottom flask (Yee, n.d., Distillation). There is a thermometer connected
through the thermometer adapter at the top (Yee, n.d., Distillation). There is also a
vacuum adapter and a heating mantle. The heating mantle is a coil which heats

26. Essay On The Causes Of Obesity In America
American s are suffering from an epidemic today called obesity. Contributors to the
obesity problem are overly large portions of food served to Americans. Also, a lack
of physical activity adds to obesity, spending hours in front of a television or
computer. Advertisements contribute to Americans over weight problems by pushing
high calorie high fat foods. Major healthproblems caused by obesity are high blood
pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.
First, obesity can cause high blood pressure in Americans. Overweight individuals are
more likely to develop high blood pressure than individuals with average weight.
The added fat tissue in the body creates a need for additional blood to circulate
through the body. As a result, of this added blood flow there is extra pressure on
the artery walls of the heart. With this higher pressure on the artery walls a person
s blood pressure rises. Since, there is increased pressure on the heart it causes the
heart to grow larger. When the heart grows larger, it loses some of its ability to
squeeze blood through the heart valves. So, this extra weight impedes the body s
ability to transport blood through the blood vessels. ... Show more content on

Overweight people can have a buildup of plaque inside the coronary arteries that
can lead to heart disease. In effect, this buildup of plaque can lead to high
cholesterol. High cholesterol will narrow the arteries and reduce blood flow that
can cause chest pain. Also, narrowed arteries can form blood clots that lead to heart
diseases. A heart attack can happen when the body cannot pump enough blood to
supply the body in an obese individual. Since, heart attacks, strokes or even death
can be the results of a person suffering from obesity. Being overweight can cause the
heart valves to malfunction. As a result, this malfunction does not allow the valves to
close completely and can lead to heart failure. An individual that is obese is at a
higher risk of heart

28. The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ
Introduction: I came across an article on BBC news written on April 9,2017 that
stated, A quarter of people who describe themselves as Christians in Great Britain do
not believe in the resurrection of Jesus. To take the resurrection out of Christianity is
like taking the heat out of fire, the darkness out of the night, all the blood out of a
man. Simply put, you cannot separate the resurrection from Christianity. The
resurrection of Christ is the hinge on which Christianity hangs. It is the foundation of
our faith. Yet there are many who try to refute this momentous history of the church.

He was seen by the Apostles, and by over five hundred people at one time. It was
inconceivable to deny bodily resurrection if Christ was raised from the dead. Let s
look at his argument.
V:12, Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do
some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? Paul presents a
dilemma to the believers at Corinth. On one hand, Paul preached to the Corinthians
that Christ has been raised from the dead and the they believed it. Let s look back
at what Paul says at the beginning of chapter 15:1 3,11. Now I make known to
you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in
which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast to the word
which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of
first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the
Scriptures, and that He was buried, according to the Scriptures, and that He was
raised on the third day according to the Scriptures... look at what he says in verse
11, whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. Now they were
buying into the lie that there is no resurrection of the dead. They were inconsistent
and illogical in their beliefs.
In verse 13 Paul s makes a simple point, if you deny the resurrection of the dead, then
you denied the resurrection of Jesus. Listen to what he says, But

32. Literary Perspectives
English september 8, 2009 Literary Perspectives The following information was
excerpted from The Bedford Introduction to Literature, 8th edition, 2079 2098
Formalist critics are primarily concerned with the language, structure, and tone of a
work, otherwise known, as it s formal elements . Formalists gravitate towards intrinsic
matters in a piece of literature, in simpler terms, diction, irony, paradox, metaphor,
and symbol. In a similar fashion, they emphasize larger elements, for instance, plot,
characterization, and narrative technique, in order to derive meaning from a literary
work. The work must stand by itself, and any information that goes beyond the text,

A historical approach to literature emphasizes the link between the historic context
of a work and a modern reader s understanding and interpretation of the work. The
1960 s saw the development of New Historicism which places the text firmly in the
period in which it was written, and examines that period from a political, economic,
social, and aesthetic standpoint. For example, a new historicist might examine
Chopin s The Story of an Hour within the context of prevailing attitudes toward
women at the time, as well as medical diagnoses of nervousness and hysteria as
common, for women of that era, who led lives considered overly independent by
their contemporaries. The doctors who diagnose Mrs. Mallard s death as having been
caused by the joy that kills are not delusional or ignorant; they represent a contrasting
set of values that are historic and very much steeped in reality. New historicists
therefore sensitize us to the fact that the history on which we choose to concentrate is
tainted by our examination of it from our own present truth ; This reconstruction of
the past undeniably affects the meaning we derive from a literary work. Mythological
critics may specialize in history, classical literature, psychology, cultural history, and
classical literature, but the chief emphasis is on the assumptions and values of
various cultures. Mythological readings represent the broadest approach

European countries due to the promise of a better life in America. This however
was not always the case. The excerpt, Waifs of the City s Slums, is from a book
written and photographed by Jacob Riis in 1890. How the Other Half Live, Riis s

races, but despite his feeling he was able to show the real need for such a book.

many of the wealthy families although aware of the reality most ignored it. The
new incoming immigrants were not as aware of the actuality of western life.
Despite their lack of knowledge, in their native countries their lives apparently
were much worse when compared to America. There were many reasons that
native Europeans left, the lack of democracy was one. As stated earlier a majority
of Europe was a monarchy at the time; the commoners had no free will basically.
An insignificant amount of people who left for religious freedom. This book
shocked society into facing these problems. The fact that Riis did not paint some
pretty story for the reader to read and be happy; he stated the facts. He did this to
clarify the need for reform throughout the city. Although Riis showed prejudice
against certain members of the slums. Riis s novel sparked interest in the readers
the nation called for reforms. His book was written near the start of the Progressive

as they can keep track of characteristics believed to be unique to each person. Among
these technologies, Fingerprint recognition is universally applied. It extracts minutia
based features from scanned images of fingerprints made by the different ridges on
the fingertips.
The student attendance system is very relevant in an institute like ours since it aims
at eliminating all the hassles of roll calling and malpractice and promises a full proof
as well as reliable technique of keeping records of student s attendance.

Retail industry in India is at the crossroads. It has emerged as one of the most
dynamic and fast paced industries with several players entering the market. But
because of the heavy initial investments required, break even is difficult to achieve
and many of these players have not tasted success so far.
However, the future is promising; the market is growing, government policies are
becoming more favorable and emerging technologies are facilitating operations.
Retailing in India is gradually inching its way towards becoming the next boom
industry.
The whole concept of shopping has altered in terms of format and consumer buying
behavior, ushering in a revolution in shopping in India. Modern retail has entered
India as seen in sprawling shopping centers, multi storied malls and huge complexes
offer shopping, entertainment and food all under one roof. The Indian retailing sector
is at an inflexion point where the growth of organized retailing and growth in the
consumption by the Indian population is going to take a higher growth trajectory.

History World Civilization since 1650
The Twilight Samurai Review The Twilight Samurai is a Japanese film that was
filmed not too many years ago in 2002. It is a historical drama film that is based on
the mid 19th century in Japan. This film mostly focuses on the life of the poor,
especially the life of Seibei Iguchi. Seibei Iguchi is said to be a low ranking samurai,
meaning that he is fairly poor. He is also known as a bureaucrat. Although he is
poor, he is not too poor because, he actually works. He always worked so that he
could make the best life that he possibly could for his two daughters Kayano and Ito
and also for his mother who seems to have dementia. Seibei Iguchi had the job ...

Even though they were all low ranking samurai bureaucrats, they felt as though
Seibei Iguchi did not fit in with them. That is how Seibei Iguchi ended up with the
nickname Tasogare, meaning Twilight. They felt as though he did not fit in with
them because his clothing began to look rather shabby and he has stopped bathing
as often as he should have. The only reason he failed to take regular bathes and
wear decent clothing is because he simply could not afford it any more, due to the
fact that he was spending all of his hard earned money of his mother s dementia
medication and the money for his monthly bath fees went to his two daughters as
well as his mother. This major draft in his finances was causing him to look rather
homeless and smell not so fresh. Although Seibei Iguchi was constantly being
picked on and frowned upon, after they heard about his skills with sword fighting
that started gaining respect for him and a little bit of fear. The reason Seibei
Iguchi got into a fight is because he was fighting a rogue samurai for his clan.
Seibei Iguchi defeated the rogue samurai, afterwards he was highly praised. The
people of his clan really did not expect him to have such sword skills. They were very

43. No Excuses By Kyle Maynard
Could you live your life without making an excuse? Maybe you could go a day, a
week, a month maybe, but your whole life? Well, Kyle Maynard describes in his
book, No Excuses, the struggle of how he learned to lead a full life while being
born with arms that end at his elbows and legs that end at his knees and never
made an excuse. There were many moments in Kyle s life through his middle
school and high school career as both a football player and a wrestler where he
could ve said, Well, I do have almost no arms and no legs, coach, However, Kyle
Maynard never once used this excuse for a reason that he didn t make the tackle, or
got beaten in wrestling, but instead used his mistakes and losses as a guideline on
how to improve himself. Several... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But only the strong will rise again, brush themselves off, and move on to conquer
and win (70). Here, Kyle tells about his middle school experience with football. He
is elated when he makes the team, but soon saddened on his dreams of being on
the starting lineup. Since his coaches only put him in the game when they, the
Collins Hill Eagles, were winning by a large margin and can easily still pull out a
victory even after giving up a few points, Kyle had very little playing time, and had
to prove himself to the coaches on every down. Because he works better on all
fours instead of trying to run with shortened legs, he is forced to make every tackle
by ramming into the opponent s legs, knocking them off balance. He describes
how each time his face mask smashed against someone s legs, he could feel his
neck rattle under the pressure. He goes on to explain that his neck could ve easily
been broken with any tackle, but wasn t and instead held strong. Kyle was
disappointed to realize his dreams of being a star quarterback were unrealistic, but
learns an important life lesson. The quote explicates how he felt with this experience.
Frankly, he felt knocked down, but with his No Excuses attitude, he realizes he needs
to get up brush himself off, and continue to play at his fullest instead of staying
knocked down or making an
44. History Of The Orangeburg Massacre
The Orangeburg Massacre At 10:33 p.m. on the night of February 8, 1968, eight to
10 seconds of police gunfire left three young black men dying and 27 wounded on
the campus of South Carolina State College in Orangeburg (Bass). The previous
event was reported in Documenting the Orangeburg Massacre. The Orangeburg
Massacre was a shooting at South Carolina State University(Pulaski). This massacre
was a Civil Rights Movement protest that turned into a deadly event. This deadly
event killed three people and injured twenty seven more (Bass). This massacre
consisted of the victims the African Americans involved in the protest, and the guilty
party the Highway Patrolmen who were the shooters of the massacre (Pulaski). This
event was an unfair attack on the African Americans involved in this protest because
they were unarmed and defenseless from the attack (Pulaski). Because of the conflicts
over the Civil Rights Movement specifically in Orangeburg, South Carolina, African
Americans involved in the protest were forced to compromise by serving prison time
because of their actions. With this in mind, the Orangeburg Massacre was an unfair
event because the African Americans were protesting peacefully for their own rights
and for equality (Pulaski). One of the main reasons for this is that during the time of
this massacre, segregation and discrimination were both going on (Fitts). It was
during the time of the Civil Rights Movement (Bass). The African Americans had
protests
