Derivative products like futures and options on Indian stock markets have become
important instruments of price discovery, portfolio diversification and risk hedging in
recent times. This paper studies the impact of introduction of index futures on spot
market volatility on both S P CNX Nifty and BSE Sensex using ARCH/GARCH
technique. The empirical analysis points towards a decline in spot market volatility

Questions pertaining to the impact of derivative trading on cash market volatility
have been empirically addressed in two ways: by comparing cash market volatilities
during the pre and post futures/ options trading eras and second, by evaluating the
impact of options and futures trading (generally proxied by trading volume) on the

attitude of the students? Do you think this or other situational factors could have

Every fall and spring of the year, our school has all students participate in NWEA
Maps testing. These tests are used to create our school wide goal, and for many of us,
or individual goals for the year. Math and English are the two areas of focus, to see
where we stand in regards to the grade level norms that each school is supposed to
perform at. In the past, our school as a whole has scored significantly below the
norm. My second year, we had a 4+ point deficit, and expected growth is limited to
1.3 a year on average. Thus, there is a huge emphasis on improving our scores each
year.
We have about a week and a half that we spend on testing, and each subject goes on
a different day. Throughout the course of the week our students will go with each of
their teachers and take test for a different subject each and every day. Studetns who
don t finish in the allotted time for class, either go back with the teacher, or are
asked to finish their testing during a study hall, or during another class period. When

Refugees are a prominent group of people in today s society. A refugee is someone
who is outside his or her country of origin and is at risk of being persecuted if he or

In the times that this play and novel were written they received a massive response
from their audiences as being controversial and full of new and exciting ideas, which

The court felt that women as a social is a too big a group. They narrowed the group
to women, that are married and allegedly committed adultery and said that they are a
social group. the concept of social group is a general one and its meaning cannot be

To an extent the past will always haunt the present and is shown through both the
film The Perks of Being a Wallflower written and directed by author Stephan
Chbosky and the novel The Reader written by Author Bernhard Schlink. Both
Charlie from The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and Michael from The Reader had
experienced loss of innocence s at young ages which cause their past to haunt them,
Michael s being he is not mature enough for a relationship of that nature and Charlie
s being he was sexual abused by his aunt but was too young to understand that it was

Although Michael s relationship with Hanna is not morally right it is hard to
compare this with the incestuous and very disturbing acts forced upon Charlie.
Charlie s innocence is taken from him by his aunt Helen who molested him when
he was young, as Charlie repressed the memories of this, her death affects him
deeply as she was an important figure in his life. Charlie spends his life without
any knowledge of his aunt molesting him as he can t remember it happening until
later in the movie when he starts to remember all the things she would do to him.
This is the way Chbosky conveys how Charlies past comes back to haunt him and
