Obamacare Pros And Cons
Obamacare has become one of the most controversial issues in the past four years. I think the
debate over Obamacare is a good one to have. This issue has caused many people, politicians, and
media outlets to finally sit down and, deal with something that has become a problem in our
healthcare system. Obamacare is also facing many obstacles, politicians want to repeal it,
people with low income need it, and the debate on its success is on going. Politicians,
republicans in particular have been unsupportive of Obamacare and democrats are also on the
fence with the Obamacare bill. It was passed in 2010 and created by Barrack Obama that allows
individuals the opportunity to obtain affordable health care. I think the idea of this bill means a
lot to America it is something that could be good for us, however republicans particularly those
elected on the promise of working to repeal Obamacare say it s important to get a bill to the
president s desk as a message to voters (Owens 1). This whole issue of repealing the bill I believe
doesn t give us a chance to fix our health care system. I think if we can see that it can possibly be a
benefit for us, especially for people of low income, it should be debated and workout.... Show more

There are close to twelve million people signed up for health insurance and many of those people
are of low income. A down side to these numbers is the fact that some states do not have
exchanges for people to go to so, it is possible for the the numbers to be higher. But however in
June 2012, the Supreme Court ruled that the states expansion of medicated had to be voluntary.
That left the poor in states such as Texas or Florida that did not expand Medicaid faced with
having to pay more that those who are not poor (Brill 20). The success of this bill relies on the
citizens and we must find ways in which we all can benefit from this and not just throw it

Biological Anthropology
Biological Anthropology is the study of human biology within the framework of evolution. There
are four subfields of Biological Anthropology; genetics, human variation, paleoanthropology, and
primatology. Primatology is the study of non human primates and I find it the most interesting of
the four subfields. The study of Primatology focuses on the biological and psychological aspects of
non human primates. Also it looks at the similarities shared between humans and primates.
Primatologists focus on studying and conducting research on primates in three main ways; field
study, laboratory study, and through captivity. In captivity, they try to replicate natural primate
habitat in a controlled captive setting. This is one of the most... Show more content on

Some Intentional responses include direct eye contact, specific sounds and calls, and mounting.
Reproductive strategies are different for both males and females. Male strategies focus on
mating as often as possible while female strategies focus on maximizing resources for herself
and her offspring. Primates are K selected reproductive animals just like us. K selected animals
tend to have few offspring at a time but invest a lot into parental care. The mother infant bond is
a strong thing in K selected animals. Lastly cultural and cognitive behavior in primates are
behaviors that require planning and the idea of an end result. These are typically learned
behaviors such as stone tool use. Some primates in captivity have been able to show some types of
artistic expression too such as painting. A remarkable behavior that Apes have is their knowledge
of their self image. When a mirror is placed in front of them they can tell that they are looking at
themselves.
Primatology is very important for many reasons but I think most importantly because we can learn
a lot about ourselves from studying primates and their

Robert Trotman s Life Story
There he was, standing in the middle of a blazing fire. This was no ordinary fire, it was a deadly.
The alarms sounded loudly, puffing the man continued running. His head started to pound,

While camping is generally an inexpensive way to spend some time outdoors, the simple meals
that follow will can help campers stay to a very minimal budget. It is important for beginner
campers to realize that there are many simple meals that can be made without purchasing
specialized camping cookware (which can be very expensive!). If you don t have any cookware
that can be used over an open fire, check out your local thrift stores for simple cookware that can
be used. A frying pan (cast iron is preferable) and pot for boiling water is enough cookware for
most camping trips. There are also many foods that can be cooked in aluminum foil alone
without the use of any other cookware. Develop meals around the materials that you have and
foods that you like to assure an inexpensive trip. Here are some cheap and easy to make meal
ideas to get you started. Pancakes make a cheap and easy camping breakfast. A plastic drinking
cup with a snap on lid is great for mixing the batter (by shaking the sealed cup) and pouring onto
a pan. Instant rice that is made from boiling water is another inexpensive meal starter. Either
eaten alone or with meat and vegetables, instant rice is filling and very cheap. Other foods made
from boiling or hot water that are inexpensive and can be the basis for cheap camping meals
include Ramen Noodles, oatmeal, and instant potatoes. The campfire baked potato is one food that

Safety Another primary responsibility of the loss prevention associate is to ensure the safety of
employee and the customers that visit the store (Carson Snowden, 2010). The associate must
ensure that certain safety equipment is present all around the store. These items include fire
extinguishers, first aid kits, unblocked fire exits, stacked merchandise, and safety signs (Carson
Snowden, 2010). This aspect of the loss prevention duties is usually required by the store and the
area fire marshal. In a situation, that a fire marshal enters the store and there are blocked exits and
expired fire extinguishers the store could be closed down. The loss prevention associate needs to
make sure that all the fire extinguishers are up to date and in working conditions along with
operating fire exits around the store. At the same time there has to be a sense of store safety against
theft at nighttime. The loss prevention associate must also conduct alarm test throughout the month
to ensure the alarm system is working properly (Carson Snowden, 2010).Additionally, the loss
prevention associate must also complete accident reports for employees and customers, which
occur inside the building. This process is done by a loss prevention member because they are
upheld with highest level on integrity (Carson Snowden, 2010). The loss prevention associate must

Theme Of Honor In Henry The IV
Some argue that honor is the central theme of Henry the IV (part 1),after reading the play and
watching it I strongly agree with that statement. Throughout the play, the two main characters
Hotspur and Prince Hal desired to feel honored.Even though they didn t truly understand its value
and how to receive it in a precise way they still wanted to feel entitled. William Shakespearenever
gave the idea of honor a definition, he created a play that reflects honor through the three main
characters Prince Hal, Harry Percy also known as Hotspur and Sir John Falstaffpersonality rather
than giving the audience the definition.
In Henry the IV, Hotspur who is a critical and very organized person felt as though honor has to
do with glory when fighting on the battlefield and defending his country s reputation in doing so
he tests the king s power by refusing to give up his prisoners and offends him by saying he acts
like a prince (1.1.80). In order to stay true to his words he also decides to lead the rebellion
against the king, which personally I believe takes a lot of courage to go against an individual
who has more authority. I believe that if an individual is able to stand up to someone with higher
power to prove themselves, their the true definition of honor. Unlike Prince Harry and Falstaff,
Hotspur spends his free time in royalty to learn his how he can become a great leader. King Henry
states that Hotspur is the theme of honor (1.1.80) which indicates that he is the perfect

A health theory that applies to the project on SCIs is the social cognitive theory because it describes
a dynamic, ongoing process in which personal factors, environmental factors, and human behavior
exert influence upon each other (National Cancer Institute, pp. 19, 2005). Three main factors of the
social cognitive theory that affect the likelihood of a person performing a behavior are self
efficacy, goals, and outcome expectancies (National Cancer Institute, pp. 20, 2005). A goal of
this project is to help improve or maintain the self efficacy of people living with SCIs and their
caregivers, leading to them to have a better quality of life. Self efficacy is defined as confidence in
the ability of a person to overcome barriers and take action (National Cancer Institute, pp. 20, 2005).

Mud Trucks Research Paper
For those who are unaware, mud trucks are those that are used for mud racing. Also called by the
name of mud bogging, mud trucks have numerous types to suit the needs of different people. One
can describe a mud truck as one hefty truck having much bigger wheels than the usual ones. They
come with additional ridges on the wheels for the obvious reason of maintaining a firm grip on the
mud. There are the monster trucks, 4 x 4 trucks and the usual lifted trucks running but mud trucks
have their own unique characteristics and stand out among all of the mentioned categories.
Handling of these trucks is not an easy task and requires special type of training first for the same.

The Purpose Of Art And Its Felicity
Joseph Anton Koch The purpose of art and its felicity lies both in its aesthetic quality as well is the
instructive capacity of art, wherein the various perspectives employed by artist s help to understand
the particular period in which the work was created and the influences that may have attributed to
the final product. The early 19th centuryin Europe was marked by a desire to return to the
classicism of the Greek and Roman empires as it connoted a sense of stability after the upheaval
of the French revolution which had brought down existing social, political and economic structures
to an end. The work ofJoseph Anton Koch, a German painter who chose to live in Rome and
imbibe the traditions of the classicists shows in his work a clear attachment to the values of linear
composition and idyllic subject matter and this is clearly apparent in his monumental workHeroic
Landscape with Rainbow, now a part of the European gallery at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in
New York City. This work is an apt illustration of the manner in which the neoclassical tradition of
landscape paintingbecame an important part of the works of European painters of the early 19th
century as a means of portraying the kind of society which people aspired to after the upheavals of
the late 18th century. The heroic landscape as a painting genre had achieved great popularity in the
17th century when artists like Nicholas Poussin and Claude Lorrain captured the beauty of the

Biological And Social Effects On Sexual Orientation
The Biological and Social Effects on Sexual Orientation
The origin and cause of human sexual orientation have been highly debated topics between
sociologist and biologists. Most scientists believe sexual orientation is biologically determined
while sociologists argue that it is socially constructed. There is a third belief that human sexual
orientation is not solely biologically determined or socially constructed. From this belief come
theories that combine both arguments, where human sexual orientation contains a biological
component and a social component. One of the conjoint theories is that humans are born with a
propensity for certain sexual tendencies which are determined biologically, and these tendencies
are developed into a complex sexual identity as an adult. This development of sexual tendencies
into a sexual identity is influenced by society, and therefore, sexual orientation depends on
biological influences as well as society and social influences. There is various evidence and
arguments for biological determination and social construction of sexual orientation, as well as a
few conjoint theories of sexual orientation, but there are also criticisms of each theory and the
validity of these arguments will be explored.
Biological determinism of sexual orientation is also known as the evolutionary psychologist s view
of sexual orientation. Evolutionary psychologists believe that the human mind has developed
according to evolutionary methods, such as natural

Taking a Look at the Peace Corps
JFK wanted to involve Americans more to spread democracy, peace, development, and freedom,
so he started the peace corps with his brother in law. After a month of debating it among people,
they decided to start it in February of 1961. The Peace Corps was established by executive order
on March 1, 1961. The congress approved the Peace Corps as a federal agency within the State
Department, on September 22, 1961. In 1981, the Peace Corps was made an independent
agency. In the 1960s, the Peace Corps was very popular with college graduates, but in the 70 s
the Vietnam War and Watergate scandal made many Americans faith in their government start
going away. The interest in the Peace Corps began to start going down which cause the
government to cut money. In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan tried to make the Peace Corps bigger
by including more fields that can joint available. If it was not for Kennedy the Peace Corps
would not have started how they did and they would not become what they are today. Kennedy
was very persuasive and captured the American s attention very fast. Before he was elected
president, he was very interested in making the peace corps possible; A peace corps is designed

The Role Of Logistics Air Force ( Usaf ) Operations And By...
I. INTRODUCTION
Background The role of logistics in United States Air Force (USAF) operations and by extension
United States military operations cannot be underestimated nor undervalued. People of both
professional and academic backgrounds have spent considerable time studying and capturing the
relevant points of its application. While critical to almost all military units and corporations alike,
logistics in definition and application is not easily defined. It is an over arching word covering
many disparate topics such as supply, sustainment, production, transportation, warehousing,
maintenance, planning, and others.
The USAF implements logistics at the tactical, operational and strategic levels with the Air Force
Materiel Command (AFMC) being its largest logistics focused organization. AFMC is home to
strategic organizations such as the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) and the Air Force Life
Cycle Management Center. Organizations such as the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing
(SCOW), logistics readiness squadrons and aerial port squadrons implement logistics at the USAF
operational and tactical level. AFMC and the agencies it commands are the USAF s primary
interfaces for both internal and external logistics support; it interfaces with suppliers such as the
Defense Logistics Agency and General Services Administration and vendors like Boeing, Lockheed
Martin, and Kovach Mobile Equipment.

The Components of Mishel’s Uncertainty of Illness Theory...
BACKGROUND
Mishel s Uncertainty of Illness Theory is a middle range theory (Black, 2014). This means the
theory is not overly broad or narrow. The theory was developed from studying men with prostate
cancer who were watchfully waiting for the advancing signs of their disease (Black, 2014). The
theory has three main components, which incorporate: the antecedents of uncertainty, impaired
cognitive appraisal, and coping with uncertainty in illness (Neville, 2003). The antecedents of
Mishel s theory are the stimulus frame, cognitive capacities and event congruence (Neville, 2003).
The stimulus frame concerns three parts including: symptom pattern, event familiarity and event
congruency (Neville, 2003). Symptom pattern may be when symptoms of ... Show more content on

This study is based on uncertainty management intervention (UMI) treatment option. The
candidates for the study were men who are 65 and older with a low stage and grade prostate disease.
The UMI study used a system of nursing telephone follow up care to help patients with their
psychosocial and educational disease needs (Kazer, Whittemore, Baily, 2010). The nursing
intervention with the patients focused on helping the patients examine illness related events and
restructure their beliefs... to incorporate uncertainty into a new life view. (Kazer, Whittemore Baily,
2010) The nursing intervention s goal was to create a cognitive plan from events that are uncertain
and use the plan to change their view of the uncontrollable situation presented to them.
Miho Suzuki s study aimed to explore the relationships between uncertainty and the quality of life
in patients with head and neck cancer in pre and post treatment periods. Suzuki intended to discover
whether patients with head and neck cancer experience less uncertainty when they think they are
able to express their concerns to their doctor. Also, Suzuki wanted to assess if the patients
experienced less uncertainty when involved with treatment decision making and sufficient
information about symptoms. Suzuki used a prospective correlational

My College Life In High School
I am an international student and last year I was invited by my high school to do a sharing about
my college life in the United States. I am getting everything I want, with the help of my family I
started the sharing by this sentence. After a deep breath, I began my story.
Two years ago, I just graduated from my high school in my home country, thinking that I could get
into one of my dream schools in the United States and enjoy my fantastic 4 year college life. Since
my GPA in high school was pretty high, I expected that all universities would like to accept
students like me. I started applying for a couple of schools that I was very interested in, but did
not receive any good news. Knowing all my friends had got their acceptance letters, I felt
inferior and began to complain about my family s social and financial status. I complained about
why my family could not afford me to go to a high school in the States so that I could have more
chances to get into universities that I wanted. Another reason why I was so anxious was that I
did not apply for any schools in my home country, so I had to take one gap year in the worst
case. I did not want to do so because I thought everyone would feel disappointed in me and
perhaps looked down on me. Unfortunately, I was rejected by all my dream schools. At that
moment, I was extremely frustrated; I lost my confidence, I lost my hope, I could not see the road
ahead of me. Then, I had depression.
I reduced my volume gradually and the

Kaa s Hunting Bander Log Examples
Have you ever heard of people who make fun of others and let people down those are bullies.
Anyone can be a bully from kids to even businessmen and the Bander log from The Jungle Book,
Kaa s Hunting by Rudyard Kipling are examples of bullies. From what the monkeys do, say, and
anything the Bander log it shows just how in every society there is always a bully, even if the
society is just animals in the forest. One example the bandar log talks like bullies in Kaa s
hunting the author mentions the bander log are chanting There is no one in the jungle so wise
and good and clever and strong and gentle as the Bander log. (Kipling, 42) Of course you know
bullies think that are on top of the world and that they re superb at everything just like the Bander
log are saying. One other example is that the Bander log say that they will learn how to weave
sticks, however then instead start playing around just how bullies say that they will leave you alone

you know bullies pick on anyone who is weaker than him/herself same as the bander log are
doing. Another example is that Kipling says, That the bander log would throw sticks and nuts at
any beast to get attention or just for the fun of it . (Kipling, 32) Another example is that in when

Comparing The Novel, Cain By Jose Saramago And Gilead By...
The novels, Cain by JosГ© Saramago and Gilead by Marilynne Robinson, both present different
perspectives of God and truth. Through Cain, a reader can gain a skeptical perception of God and
ultimately, question the importance of religion. On an alternative side, while Gilead does not
directly offer commentary to Godand religion, it is the source of its characters strength, especially
with Robinson s character Ames. Either way, God and religion has a profound impact on Cain and
Ames lives that not only expresses their relationship with religion but how God as an entity
influences their life path. Saramago s Cain spends most of the novel bitter towards God for cursing
him. From Cain and the Narrator s point of view, one can conclude that... Show more content on

It is clear that Cain s initial interaction with God was indeed a negative one but it created an outlet
for Cain to question truth and to prove why religion s truth is incorrect.
With the story of Job, That doesn t seem very fair of the lord...a good and upright man, and very
religious too, he has committed no crime, and yet, for no reason, he is about to be punished with
the loss of all his money and possessions, Cain questions why Job will be punished as severely as
he was when Job followed the ideal pious path (Saramago, 122 123). In this instance, Cain is
taking a protective role as well as a critical one when it comes to God s convoluted motivations,
The lord and satan made a wager, but this man job isn t to know he is the object of that gambler s
agreement (Saramago, 122). Possibly, Cain is able to relate to the citizens God tampered with
since Cain felt he was not at fault for killing Abel, but rather, God was for not stopping him or
giving him such a miserable life that led him to kill his younger brother. This idea that a
misfortune, Job losing everything he worked for, is contradicted in Robinson s novel, Gilead
since Ames mother saw bad luck as a blessing, That was a day s work lost for her, not to mention
the setting hens and the fryers. She

Factors Of Career And Personality Assessments
Pathway to Elementary Education Emily is college freshman at Tarrant County College, a
community college based in Fort Worth, Texas. Emily plans to attend junior college for a year
and then would like to transfer to a larger university. She is struggling with the decision of
choosing a major. Deciding what she wants to do for the rest of her life is very stressful. Her
parents think she should go into the medical field because the jobs are plentiful, but she never did
well in her science classes in high school, and the sight of blood makes her sick. Emily mentioned
that she worked with the second grade class at church and always enjoyed her time with this age
group. She wonders if this interest might be something she should pursue. As Emily s academic

important decisions.

One of the first steps in helping a student who is undecided about their degree is to suggest useful
assessments. Career and personality assessments are beneficial in several ways. They can help
provide insight into personality traits, skills, and interests of a student. The results in turn can help
students make connections between these traits and careers that they are well suited for. There are
two tools in particular that I find beneficial. The first is a database called O*Net Online. This
website has assessment tools to measure abilities, interests, knowledge and skills. It also has

Conclusion
Lateral epicondylitis is a primary ailment , occurring more frequently amongst active athletes and
adults of the working class. Patients afflicted with lateral epicondylitis will typically experience
pain at the origin of extensor muscle , pain when resistance is applied against wrist extension and
tenderness upon palpation at the lateral humeral epicondyle.(5) Therefore , diagnosis is usually
fairly straightforward and classified as a stress overload response.(4)
Successful treatment is defined as measures to alleviate pain and stress surrounding the targeted
area. Active release technique has shown great promise in treating lateral epicondylitis. The
approach to the condition has been lauded by several cases where the patient experienced the most
improvement in the condition. The application of ART in treating this condition definitely warrants

Sql Injection And Its Effects
INTRODUCTION:
Throughout the years the SQL Injection risk has developed so much that now significantly more
obliterating assaults are seen than any time in recent history. Many Organizations are being broken
by means of SQL Injection assaults that slip consistently through the system firewall and detour
their web application firewalls (WAF). This gives attackers a good chance to exploit databases and
internal networks of the organization. Being one of the top ten threats in OWASP, this particular
threat has gained a lot of attention.
SQL injection attacks discloses delicate database data by exploiting input validation
vulnerabilities in a Web webpage. Usually, Web sites validate all user inputs before sending
queries to the database. If this is not done properly for every input (might be thousands), an
intruder may modify data/values in a Web request to in turn modify queries sent to a back end
database. The results of these unapproved requests are then shown as an HTML response with
possibly a large amount of compromised data.
Recognizing SQL parts infused into a Web application has demonstrated greatly difficult. There are
a few preventions that organizations can take prevention, remediation, and mitigation. While
implementing prevention and remediation, the organization endeavors to create secure code and
scramble secret information put away in the database. In any case, these are not generally
accessible choices. For Example, sometimes the application source code

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Solar Panels
Solar panels have become increasingly popular and increasingly common, but there is a huge
disadvantage to using them; they require a lot of space. To power the average US home one
would need 600 square feet of space about 55 square meters which costs $55,000 almost
€70,000 (Statistic Brain). Now researchers at the Michigan State University believe that they
have found a solution to make solar panels more space efficient. A team of researchers at the
Michigan State University has developed solar panels that are transparent. The advantage of this
is that [they] can be placed directly over a window to harvest the sun s energy (Mail Online) and
still be transparent. Usually the solar cells are blue, but the researchers managed to use transparent
luminescent solar concentrators (TLSC) (Extreme Tech) to make the cells transparent. TLSC is
made of organic salts, which absorb specific non visible wavelengths of ultraviolet and infrared
light (Extreme Tech). The cell converts these wavelengths into a different infrared light through a
glow. The glow is then guided to the edge of the cell which uses thin strips of photovoltaic solar
cells (Mail Online) to convert the light energy into electricity, just like the normal solar panels. The
cells appear to be transparent because [They] do not absorb or emit light in the visible spectrum

which proves the researcher s estimate. To make the cells cost effective though, one could buy
enough to cover a whole building or wall. Despite the lack of efficiency in the cell, there are
several advantages to having a fully transparent solar

Research on the Logistics and Mechanisms of Attention
Attention is a mechanism directly involved in the selection, distribution and maintenance of
processing resources, which determines our ability to process complex and multiple stimuli from
our environment and is crucial to our success and survival. Given the large magnitude of visual
information we encounter every day, the existence of a selective mechanism at a conscious and
unconscious level that regulates what we pay attentionto is indisputable; it has even been
conceptualized as a supramodal mechanism that distributes cognitive resources according to task
complexity and motivation (Salthouse , Rogan Prill , 1984). Initially conceived as a single
spotlight alternating amongst foci (Tiffin, Knight Jackson, 1946), attention is now understood to be
beneficial due to its capacity to divide. Nevertheless, there is a limit in scope and manner, so we
are constantly promoting the priority processing of certain information in the presence of multiple
stimuli (RossellГі, 1999). Understanding the logistical constrains behind this prioritization and
allocation of resources is thus important from a theoretical perspective (Vergauwe et al., 2010), but
also due to its practical implications in various fields such as the military, sports, transportation,
safety and education (Strayer Johnston, 2001; Gingerich Lineweaver, 2014).
Generally, these constrains have been studied in two specific domains: space and time. Regarding
space, visual search paradigms explore how stimulus

from the NCIQ test measuring quality of life. In all of the six subdomains, scores improved in the
span of six months after implantation and remained stable in the interval between six months and
one year later. The results of Table 1 specify an association between cochlear implantation and
increased cognitive test scores in the immediate future, but cannot be proven to prevent further
degeneration in the long term. In Table 2 researchers found a correlation between the improvement
of NCIQ scores and the increase in speech perception scores one year after subjects received
implantation and aural rehabilitation. (B) Overall, found that the journalistic article presented the
research in an accurate, nonbiased manner. The study wasn t too complex for the average person to

Steps Of The Plan Do Check Act ( Pdca ) Cycle

The first step of the Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) cycle is plan. The planning step of the cycle is
extremely important and crucial to the success of the project. I undertook this exact issue as a
process improvement project early on in my career and already went through the exercise of
analyzing the account activity and assigning a risk score to each and every balance sheet account. At
the time, there were 854 individual balance sheet accounts that needed reconciled. Currently this
count has grown to 1,047, which means that an additional 193 accounts would need analyzed. The

There is no reason to waste resources reconciling an account that is no longer being used. The next
step of 5S that is beneficial to the process is straightening. The accounts should be straightened into
broader categories, rather than looking that them individually, which saves time and is more
efficient. For instance, all cash accounts should be grouped and analyzed together, as they will be
handled the same. The work is not done when the sorting and straightening has been completed,
nonetheless. The newly sorted and straightened list should continue to be shined, another step of
5S, on a routine basis to make sure there are no changes. As previously mentioned, the controller
reserves the right to adjust the reconciliation priority at any time. New accounts are likely to be
created that will need sorted and straightened and other accounts will also go inactive. 5S is an
ongoing process and the sustainability is one of the S s. The final S stands for standardize. The
account reconciliation process should be standardized. Standardization and uniformity in the
reconciliation process and the reconciliation work papers add to the quality of the review. It is
much easier for a reviewer or auditor to check reconciliations that are prepared in a consistent
fashion.
Do
The Do step of the PDCA cycle is where the action of the project really happens. The new
reconciliation schedule is implemented during this stage. As previously mentioned some accounts

The Battle of Bull Run was the first battle fought during the Civil War. It was a bloody battle and
showed both sides that this war would not be won quickly. There were a few factors that swayed
the battle in favor of the Confederacy, such as terrain, weather and technology. The Confederacy
was able to use railroads to transport troops to battle, which had never been done before. This
allowed them to continue fighting while the Union troops were growing tired and weak. Since the
battle was fought on Southern soil, the Confederacy gained the upper hand. Not only did their

The Union believed that if they defeated the Confederacy no further attacks would be carried out. In
addition, President Lincoln aimed to re establish Federal law in the Southern states that had seceded
from the nation. He also wanted the Union Army to stop Confederate legislators from meeting in
the new Southern capitol of Richmond, Virginia. President Lincoln believed that this would bring
a speedy end to the war. BG Beauregard held a strong position in Manassas Junction. Manassas
offered railroad access which would lead to the center of Virginia, by way of Orange and
Alexandria Railroads. It was essential that Beauregard was able to maintain this position.
The weather on the day of battle was hot, in the mid 80 s to low 90 s, and humid. The heat had a
negative effect on Union soldiers. The Union Army set out at 2 a.m. to avoid engaging in battle
during the hottest part of the day. Many of these Soldiers were untrained in road marches and
lacked discipline. They would break ranks to find water, rest or collect blackberries. For these
reasons they reached Bull Run three hours late and consequently ended up fighting well into the
day. Both sides went into the battle with high morale. They believed that over the course of a few
days they would be victorious and the war would be won in this one battle. The terrain of the Battle

How Did Chief John Ross Get Fellow Cherokee
Fellow Cherokee people: There is a bad seed among us that must be expelled before spreading it s
disease to more members of our honorable tribe. Jon Ross and his cronies are spreading lies and
blinding our people from seeing the truth.
Chief John Ross says that he is doing what is best for the people when in reality he is doing the
best for himself. Ross denied the people the right to vote in elections by ceasing their existence
despite numerous attempts by the council to reinstate them. Ross is denying the people the right to
speak for themselves. This is NOT the Cherokee way.

that the death of our land and the death of our people are one and the same. Ross s faction has
attacked me personally saying that my faction is a pack of spineless mutts that encircle the
Cherokee territory, biting off pieces of our land and retrieving them for the white man in efforts
to please him. My faction is not working for the white man, we are working for the Cherokee
people. The Ridge faction is not selling Cherokee land for 4 million as the Ross faction suggests,
we are guaranteeing Cherokee sovereignty and land and getting the best deal for the Cherokee
people. Even though we may be leaving our territory just as the water beetle left the sky realm but
we are not working to please the whites. How can Ross accuse us of giving land to the whites
when he himself signed a moratorium signing away the Cherokee land in Tennesseewithout

because of the actions of John Ross. Signing away Cherokee land without even consulting the

whites. This is NOT the Cherokee

Sweatshirts to Sweatshops Essay
1. In the essay Sweatshirts to Sweatshops, many of the universal intellectual standards are violated.
To begin with, the speaker talks about the little girl...working hour after hour...trying not to collapse
from the heat... and that violates the fairness of the argument. He is trying to manipulate the
audienceby appealing to their emotional side. This argument is not based in factual evidence, and
therefore, could be dismissed by the audience. There may not be a little girl in this exact situation
described, and therefore, this statement is irrelevant. This could be corrected by leaving the entire
story of the little girl out, or an interview of a child that works in the factory could be conducted
giving a first hand look into the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These workers may not have anywhere better to work and desperately need the money. This
violation could be resolved by interviewing workers about their jobs and doing research to find out
the conditions of other job opportunities in their area. Another point of view is definitely needed in
this argument.
2. At the end of the essay, the speaker gives only a choice between one or the other solution,
leaving out any other options, which is known as a false dilemma. The speaker states, [t]here are
two things we can do to put an end to this exploitation. We can demand that Cromwell obtain its
logo merchandise only from garment companies with socially responsible labor practices, and
we an refuse to wear or purchase any Cromwell clothing until the college switches to an
acceptable apparel supplier. This is a false dilemma because the speaker does not include any
other possibilities. This hurts the essay because the speaker only gives the audience a limited
number of options. The speaker wants the audience to feel that they only have a limited amount
of choices, when in reality, they could just ignore the problem. Emotive language is another
fallacy that the speaker uses. Emotive language is when the speaker tries to appeal to the
audience using peer pressure, flattery, pity, and/or fear. The speaker states, We have a choice: to
do what we can in support of global economic justice, or to become the oppressor. No one wants to

My Fondness And Love Of Video Games
Introduction
My fondness and love for gaming started when I was only 3 years old. This is when my life
collection started and my obsession with computers, consoles and games evolved. To understand
my obsession and collection one has to recognise the history of video games. In the early 1950 s
the video game was developed. It all started in a concrete arcade and progressed to the comfort of
our homes. It s not just games and gaming consoles, but home computers and the technology that is
available to make this virtual world your own and a big part of modern culture.
Although my gaming life started in 1997, the technology jump from the 8 bit to 64 bit was
remarkable, but what made the leap was the wireless technology that transformed a 2 ... Show more

The Diagnosis Of Sedentary Lifestyle
The diagnosis of Sedentary lifestyle includes three defining characteristics: (a) chooses a daily
routine lacking physical exercise, (b) demonstrates physical de conditioning, and (c) verbalizes
preference for activities low in physical activity (Guedes). These characteristics prevail in society
today because individuals view movement as a depletive rather than a constructive resource.
Although many realize physical activity is important, they still do not partake, for it is easier to
sit and relax than it is to get up and move. However, living a sedentary lifestyle results in lowered
motivation, according to Wasilewski and Olson (par.9). Hence, after one has given in to living a

activity is associated with a significant reduction in risk for diabetes, whereas a sedentary
lifestyle indicated by prolonged TV watching is directly related to risk , concluded Hu and
coauthors of the study (qtd. in Sedentary Lifestyle Boosts ... par.6). In other words, inactivity
results in illness. Sedentariness can also increase endometrial and breast cancer in women,
according to Rachael Rettner. Rettner wrote the article, Women Who Sit Too Much Have Higher

followed a group of healthy women for twenty five years. The participants were separated into
three groups: those who were purely sedentary, those who were slightly active, and those who

Wendy Wasserstein s Tender Offer
The number one priority for family is making time to enjoy each other. Through the use of a trivial
conversation, Wendy Wasserstein play, Tender Offer shows a father finding a meaningful moment
to reconnect with his daughter. By establishing a tender offer Paul reassures his commitment to
increasing the opportunities to communicate with his daughter. Parents today, would benefit greatly

In the play, the writer set the scene by focusing on a casual conversation between a father and his
daughter. By not focusing on one subject exhibited the uneasiness of their relationship. Each topic
of conversation is in reference to someone else. Showing their inability to communicate with each
other. Children require a great deal of one on one interaction from parents to keep the lines of

The Debate Of Knowledge And Belief
The topic of knowledge and belief has been a subject of investigation and a primary field in
philosophical research for centuries. Whether it was Aristotle or Descartes, multiple ideas on
knowledge and belief arise, such as the epistemological theories of foundationalism or
coherentism, which provide philosophical explanations to this debate. For the sake of this essay,
and in my own opinion, knowledge should be distinguished from belief. Everyone is subject to
different types of beliefs based on upbringing, however knowledge of basic items is universal,
therefore it immediately becomes apparent that there is a clear distinction between the two
concepts. Aristotle proposes an argument called the Regress argument, (Wrenn) this argument is
essentially the debate of knowledge versus belief using the epistemological theories of
knowledge. Aristotle takes the side of foundationalism based on the simple fact that it defends
knowledge and it that knowledge requires basic justified beliefs. In the argument it states that
coherentism is simply beliefs supported by other beliefs therefore leading to no concrete
knowledge behind the beliefs. For example, if I say that next month is the April, it is justified by
two other beliefs, that this month is March and the month after April is May (Delaney, 1976). This
example displays that for justification of coherentism it is simply derived from further beliefs.
However, for foundationalism, all beliefs are justified, which we can

characters on this journey were of various lifestyles. Their reasons for their pilgrimage and their
expectations vary as each tale is told. Two characters that can relate and then be the opposite of
each other were the Parson and the Pardoner. The Parson is a member of the Clergy Class, or

The Pros And Cons Of UNICEF
Unmistakably, innumerable world events have set the stage for a multitude of moments of peace,
liberty, and justice throughout the globe that have been long awaited for extensive periods of time.
The key formula of momentous changes throughout history have not only been political decisions,
but also the commonly associated aspect of warfare. Together, these often chaotic melting pots of
policy and conflict have paved the way for ending extensive moments of injustice and hardship
while also toppling the authoritative rule of brute dictators such as Adolf Hitler. However, quite
commonly the long fought pathways towards victory and sequential freedom leaves behind a long
tail of destruction and chaos often paid for in the cost of lives, limbs, damaged societies and post
traumatic stress disorder. On the positive side, however, what these long fought battles sometimes
give birth to are organizations and policies that emphasize the necessity of not only preserving
peace, but also aiding those commonly negatively impacted by those moments of disorder and
chaos. A great example of an... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Role of a Setting in The Great Gatsby Essay
In F. Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby, the setting of New York in the nineteen twenties
performs an extensive role in the novel. Although the nineteen twenties are a time of economic
prosperity, they appear to be a time of corruption and crime as well. In New York, particularly, the
nineteen twenties are a time of corruption and moral scarcity. The setting is during the Jazz Ageas
well, where popularity, fashion, and commerce are a primary inclination. The setting of The Great
Gatsbyefficaciously portrays the behavior of the characters in The Great Gatsby, as well as the plot

This occasion displays how potentially careless and morally corrupt the citizens of New York in the
nineteen twenties can be. It is occasions like these that prominently portray the depth of moral
corruption in relation to the significance of the setting in The Great Gatsby. The nineteen twenties
can be bestowed numerous names, such as The Roaring Twenties, or The Prosperity Decade. One
name, however, is specifically attached to the nineteen twenties; The Jazz Age. It is during the
nineteen twenties that jazz music becomes emphatically prevailing. With this new age, however,
as with every age, comes a demeanor of fashion, spirit, and custom. The wealthy class of the Jazz
Age, composing of Jay Gatsby, the Buchanans, and so on, prospers during this time. In chapter
three, Nick Carraway proceeds to one of Jay Gatsby s splendid parties, and scrutinizes the
denouement of the amalgamation of wealth and a Jazz Age party. As Nick Carraway alleges on
page forty, By seven o clock the orchestra has arrived, no thin five piece affair, but a whole pitful
of oboes and trombones and saxophones and viols and cornets and piccolos, and low and high
drums... The bar is in full swing, and floating rounds of cocktails permeate the garden outside, until

Organics Vs Organic Food
The term organic has been highly overrated throughout recent years. Considered to be better for
the environment and for a person s health, organics are believed to be a better option when
purchasing food, when in reality they are just as good compared to regular food. Even so, organics
have more drawbacks rather than benefits. With organics high price, lack of nutritional value, and
environmental upset, it is no wonder why a majority of the population chooses to purchase regular
food over organics.
While organics may be healthier compared to regular food, the high price of organics is
impractical for members in the community. Money is a key factor for consumers when
purchasing food and most people do not want to give in to the high price tag when there are
other options for a better deal. A pound of beef for instance, costs $9.99 organically while a
regular pound of beef only costs $6.49, according to a 2015 consumer report. Based on the lower
price tag, people are more prone to buy the regular beef as they can gain a necessary source of
protein yet sustain the budget they desire. . When purchasing food, prices need to be considered
as the views of the buyers can be changed if a product is worth more than what they want to spend.
Compared to organic food, it is more reasonable for people to purchase regular food as the lower
price tag allows them to buy larger quantities and varieties. Additionally, organic foods disregard
different social classes within the community.

Comparing The Interconnection Of Poetry And Music In The...
The Interconnection of Poetry and Music in The Weary Blues
Langston Hughes s poem, The Weary Blues, is an example of an ekphrasis emulating a genre of
music, the blues. The poem has a musical feel, and its rhythm and tone imitate those of blues
music. The blues originated from African American culture and became popular towards the
end of slavery. Hughes communicates the cultural origin of blues music by focusing the poem
on a Negro who plays and sings blues music. However as the poem progresses, Hughes describes
actions that cannot be known by just listening to the Negro. In the last two lines of the poem, he
states what goes on in the Negro s head while sleeping and describes him as sleeping like a rock or
a man that s dead. Why does Hughes compare the way he sleeps to that of a dead man? How
does Hughes know what goes on in the Negro s head, and why does he end the poem with a
disturbing description of the Negro s sleeping state?
To understand the unusual comparison and disturbing ending, we need to see how Hughes
incorporates the features of blues music in the poem. The poem is written in free verse and has no
steady rhythm. Writing the poem without a consistent rhythm and in free verse relates to the
syncopated tune of blues music, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This connection does not just relate to their mutual pleasure for the blues, but as indicated by the
fifteenth line of the poem, Coming from a black man s soul, to their common racial identity,
being black. The racial emphasis is intensified by the facelessness of the man playing the music.
Hughes identifies him by Negro, a general name for blacks, and in the ninth line, With his ebony
hands on each ivory key, describes the dark color of his skin pointing again to his race. Hughes may
intentionally be using the racial emphasis to describe the history of blues music, which originated
from African American

  • 2. Obamacare Pros And Cons Obamacare has become one of the most controversial issues in the past four years. I think the debate over Obamacare is a good one to have. This issue has caused many people, politicians, and media outlets to finally sit down and, deal with something that has become a problem in our healthcare system. Obamacare is also facing many obstacles, politicians want to repeal it, people with low income need it, and the debate on its success is on going. Politicians, republicans in particular have been unsupportive of Obamacare and democrats are also on the fence with the Obamacare bill. It was passed in 2010 and created by Barrack Obama that allows individuals the opportunity to obtain affordable health care. I think the idea of this bill means a lot to America it is something that could be good for us, however republicans particularly those elected on the promise of working to repeal Obamacare say it s important to get a bill to the president s desk as a message to voters (Owens 1). This whole issue of repealing the bill I believe doesn t give us a chance to fix our health care system. I think if we can see that it can possibly be a benefit for us, especially for people of low income, it should be debated and workout.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are close to twelve million people signed up for health insurance and many of those people are of low income. A down side to these numbers is the fact that some states do not have exchanges for people to go to so, it is possible for the the numbers to be higher. But however in June 2012, the Supreme Court ruled that the states expansion of medicated had to be voluntary. That left the poor in states such as Texas or Florida that did not expand Medicaid faced with having to pay more that those who are not poor (Brill 20). The success of this bill relies on the citizens and we must find ways in which we all can benefit from this and not just throw it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Biological Anthropology Biological Anthropology is the study of human biology within the framework of evolution. There are four subfields of Biological Anthropology; genetics, human variation, paleoanthropology, and primatology. Primatology is the study of non human primates and I find it the most interesting of the four subfields. The study of Primatology focuses on the biological and psychological aspects of non human primates. Also it looks at the similarities shared between humans and primates. Primatologists focus on studying and conducting research on primates in three main ways; field study, laboratory study, and through captivity. In captivity, they try to replicate natural primate habitat in a controlled captive setting. This is one of the most... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some Intentional responses include direct eye contact, specific sounds and calls, and mounting. Reproductive strategies are different for both males and females. Male strategies focus on mating as often as possible while female strategies focus on maximizing resources for herself and her offspring. Primates are K selected reproductive animals just like us. K selected animals tend to have few offspring at a time but invest a lot into parental care. The mother infant bond is a strong thing in K selected animals. Lastly cultural and cognitive behavior in primates are behaviors that require planning and the idea of an end result. These are typically learned behaviors such as stone tool use. Some primates in captivity have been able to show some types of artistic expression too such as painting. A remarkable behavior that Apes have is their knowledge of their self image. When a mirror is placed in front of them they can tell that they are looking at themselves. Primatology is very important for many reasons but I think most importantly because we can learn a lot about ourselves from studying primates and their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Theme Of Honor In Henry The IV Some argue that honor is the central theme of Henry the IV (part 1),after reading the play and watching it I strongly agree with that statement. Throughout the play, the two main characters Hotspur and Prince Hal desired to feel honored.Even though they didn t truly understand its value and how to receive it in a precise way they still wanted to feel entitled. William Shakespearenever gave the idea of honor a definition, he created a play that reflects honor through the three main characters Prince Hal, Harry Percy also known as Hotspur and Sir John Falstaffpersonality rather than giving the audience the definition. In Henry the IV, Hotspur who is a critical and very organized person felt as though honor has to do with glory when fighting on the battlefield and defending his country s reputation in doing so he tests the king s power by refusing to give up his prisoners and offends him by saying he acts like a prince (1.1.80). In order to stay true to his words he also decides to lead the rebellion against the king, which personally I believe takes a lot of courage to go against an individual who has more authority. I believe that if an individual is able to stand up to someone with higher power to prove themselves, their the true definition of honor. Unlike Prince Harry and Falstaff, Hotspur spends his free time in royalty to learn his how he can become a great leader. King Henry states that Hotspur is the theme of honor (1.1.80) which indicates that he is the perfect ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. The Purpose Of Art And Its Felicity Joseph Anton Koch The purpose of art and its felicity lies both in its aesthetic quality as well is the instructive capacity of art, wherein the various perspectives employed by artist s help to understand the particular period in which the work was created and the influences that may have attributed to the final product. The early 19th centuryin Europe was marked by a desire to return to the classicism of the Greek and Roman empires as it connoted a sense of stability after the upheaval of the French revolution which had brought down existing social, political and economic structures to an end. The work ofJoseph Anton Koch, a German painter who chose to live in Rome and imbibe the traditions of the classicists shows in his work a clear attachment to the values of linear composition and idyllic subject matter and this is clearly apparent in his monumental workHeroic Landscape with Rainbow, now a part of the European gallery at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York City. This work is an apt illustration of the manner in which the neoclassical tradition of landscape paintingbecame an important part of the works of European painters of the early 19th century as a means of portraying the kind of society which people aspired to after the upheavals of the late 18th century. The heroic landscape as a painting genre had achieved great popularity in the 17th century when artists like Nicholas Poussin and Claude Lorrain captured the beauty of the natural environmentas a ... • 15. Biological And Social Effects On Sexual Orientation The Biological and Social Effects on Sexual Orientation The origin and cause of human sexual orientation have been highly debated topics between sociologist and biologists. Most scientists believe sexual orientation is biologically determined while sociologists argue that it is socially constructed. There is a third belief that human sexual orientation is not solely biologically determined or socially constructed. From this belief come theories that combine both arguments, where human sexual orientation contains a biological component and a social component. One of the conjoint theories is that humans are born with a propensity for certain sexual tendencies which are determined biologically, and these tendencies are developed into a complex sexual identity as an adult. This development of sexual tendencies into a sexual identity is influenced by society, and therefore, sexual orientation depends on biological influences as well as society and social influences. There is various evidence and arguments for biological determination and social construction of sexual orientation, as well as a few conjoint theories of sexual orientation, but there are also criticisms of each theory and the validity of these arguments will be explored. Biological determinism of sexual orientation is also known as the evolutionary psychologist s view of sexual orientation. People of both professional and academic backgrounds have spent considerable time studying and capturing the relevant points of its application. While critical to almost all military units and corporations alike, logistics in definition and application is not easily defined. The USAF implements logistics at the tactical, operational and strategic levels with the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) being its largest logistics focused organization. AFMC is home to strategic organizations such as the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. Organizations such as the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing (SCOW), logistics readiness squadrons and aerial port squadrons implement logistics at the USAF operational and tactical level. AFMC and the agencies it commands are the USAF s primary interfaces for both internal and external logistics support; it interfaces with suppliers such as the Defense Logistics Agency and General Services Administration and vendors like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Kovach Mobile Equipment. Another reason why I was so anxious was that I did not apply for any schools in my home country, so I had to take one gap year in the worst case. I did not want to do so because I thought everyone would feel disappointed in me and perhaps looked down on me. Unfortunately, I was rejected by all my dream schools. With the story of Job, That doesn t seem very fair of the lord...a good and upright man, and very religious too, he has committed no crime, and yet, for no reason, he is about to be punished with the loss of all his money and possessions, Cain questions why Job will be punished as severely as he was when Job followed the ideal pious path (Saramago, 122 123). Sql Injection And Its Effects INTRODUCTION: Throughout the years the SQL Injection risk has developed so much that now significantly more obliterating assaults are seen than any time in recent history. Many Organizations are being broken by means of SQL Injection assaults that slip consistently through the system firewall and detour their web application firewalls (WAF). This gives attackers a good chance to exploit databases and internal networks of the organization. Being one of the top ten threats in OWASP, this particular threat has gained a lot of attention. SQL injection attacks discloses delicate database data by exploiting input validation vulnerabilities in a Web webpage. Usually, Web sites validate all user inputs before sending queries to the database. If this is not done properly for every input (might be thousands), an intruder may modify data/values in a Web request to in turn modify queries sent to a back end database. The results of these unapproved requests are then shown as an HTML response with possibly a large amount of compromised data. Recognizing SQL parts infused into a Web application has demonstrated greatly difficult. There are a few preventions that organizations can take prevention, remediation, and mitigation. While implementing prevention and remediation, the organization endeavors to create secure code and scramble secret information put away in the database. Without a second thought, my mindrushes to Pawley s Island, South Carolina. My serenity swam away with the drifting jellyfish that left nothing but pain. How could this happen to me in the most harmonious place in the world? I had spent countless hours jumping and swimming in the water with the sand encompassing my toes. Never did a thought of worry flip through my mind. Now I never wanted let my toes indulge in the warmth of the sand or let my piecey hair fall across my tanned back. I was brought out of my painful daze while looking down at my dad pouring vinegar and rubbing a credit card repeatedly over the sting. Not knowing what to expect I looked down to see that my shin had puffed up multiple inches and turned a purple color. I was escorted upstairs to the condominium and had strict instructions to stay on the couch in front of the sliding glass doors. I peered out to see the dark, eerie water filled with many unknowns. No longer was it a sight of beauty, it had turned into an ominous view that was filled with gloomy and painful memories. My eyelids slid shut as I tried to escape my once paradise, and now nightmare. Sitting on the beach 3 years later, I let my pale skin burn to a crisp in hope to bring home a tan that my friends will be envious of. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Solar Panels Solar panels have become increasingly popular and increasingly common, but there is a huge disadvantage to using them; they require a lot of space. To power the average US home one would need 600 square feet of space about 55 square meters which costs $55,000 almost €70,000 (Statistic Brain). Now researchers at the Michigan State University believe that they have found a solution to make solar panels more space efficient. A team of researchers at the Michigan State University has developed solar panels that are transparent. The advantage of this is that [they] can be placed directly over a window to harvest the sun s energy (Mail Online) and still be transparent. Usually the solar cells are blue, but the researchers managed to use transparent luminescent solar concentrators (TLSC) (Extreme Tech) to make the cells transparent. TLSC is made of organic salts, which absorb specific non visible wavelengths of ultraviolet and infrared light (Extreme Tech). The cell converts these wavelengths into a different infrared light through a glow. The glow is then guided to the edge of the cell which uses thin strips of photovoltaic solar cells (Mail Online) to convert the light energy into electricity, just like the normal solar panels. The cells appear to be transparent because [They] do not absorb or emit light in the visible spectrum (Mail Online).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 38. Research on the Logistics and Mechanisms of Attention Attention is a mechanism directly involved in the selection, distribution and maintenance of processing resources, which determines our ability to process complex and multiple stimuli from our environment and is crucial to our success and survival. Given the large magnitude of visual information we encounter every day, the existence of a selective mechanism at a conscious and unconscious level that regulates what we pay attentionto is indisputable; it has even been conceptualized as a supramodal mechanism that distributes cognitive resources according to task complexity and motivation (Salthouse , Rogan Prill , 1984). Initially conceived as a single spotlight alternating amongst foci (Tiffin, Knight Jackson, 1946), attention is now understood to be beneficial due to its capacity to divide. Nevertheless, there is a limit in scope and manner, so we are constantly promoting the priority processing of certain information in the presence of multiple stimuli (RossellГі, 1999). Understanding the logistical constrains behind this prioritization and allocation of resources is thus important from a theoretical perspective (Vergauwe et al., 2010), but also due to its practical implications in various fields such as the military, sports, transportation, safety and education (Strayer Johnston, 2001; Gingerich Lineweaver, 2014). Generally, these constrains have been studied in two specific domains: space and time. Regarding space, visual search paradigms explore how stimulus ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The accounts should be straightened into broader categories, rather than looking that them individually, which saves time and is more efficient. For instance, all cash accounts should be grouped and analyzed together, as they will be handled the same. The work is not done when the sorting and straightening has been completed, nonetheless. The newly sorted and straightened list should continue to be shined, another step of 5S, on a routine basis to make sure there are no changes. As previously mentioned, the controller reserves the right to adjust the reconciliation priority at any time. New accounts are likely to be created that will need sorted and straightened and other accounts will also go inactive. 5S is an ongoing process and the sustainability is one of the S s. It was a bloody battle and showed both sides that this war would not be won quickly. The Confederacy was able to use railroads to transport troops to battle, which had never been done before. This allowed them to continue fighting while the Union troops were growing tired and weak. BG Beauregard held a strong position in Manassas Junction. Manassas offered railroad access which would lead to the center of Virginia, by way of Orange and Alexandria Railroads. It was essential that Beauregard was able to maintain this position. The weather on the day of battle was hot, in the mid 80 s to low 90 s, and humid. • 49. The Debate Of Knowledge And Belief The topic of knowledge and belief has been a subject of investigation and a primary field in philosophical research for centuries. Whether it was Aristotle or Descartes, multiple ideas on knowledge and belief arise, such as the epistemological theories of foundationalism or coherentism, which provide philosophical explanations to this debate. For the sake of this essay, and in my own opinion, knowledge should be distinguished from belief. Everyone is subject to different types of beliefs based on upbringing, however knowledge of basic items is universal, therefore it immediately becomes apparent that there is a clear distinction between the two concepts. Aristotle proposes an argument called the Regress argument, (Wrenn) this argument is essentially the debate of knowledge versus belief using the epistemological theories of knowledge. Aristotle takes the side of foundationalism based on the simple fact that it defends knowledge and it that knowledge requires basic justified beliefs. In the argument it states that coherentism is simply beliefs supported by other beliefs therefore leading to no concrete knowledge behind the beliefs. For example, if I say that next month is the April, it is justified by two other beliefs, that this month is March and the month after April is May (Delaney, 1976). The nineteen twenties can be bestowed numerous names, such as The Roaring Twenties, or The Prosperity Decade. One name, however, is specifically attached to the nineteen twenties; The Jazz Age. It is during the nineteen twenties that jazz music becomes emphatically prevailing. With this new age, however, as with every age, comes a demeanor of fashion, spirit, and custom. The wealthy class of the Jazz Age, composing of Jay Gatsby, the Buchanans, and so on, prospers during this time. In chapter three, Nick Carraway proceeds to one of Jay Gatsby s splendid parties, and scrutinizes the denouement of the amalgamation of wealth and a Jazz Age party. As Nick Carraway alleges on page forty, By seven o clock the orchestra has arrived, no thin five piece affair, but a whole pitful of oboes and trombones and saxophones and viols and cornets and piccolos, and low and high drums... The bar is in full swing, and floating rounds of cocktails permeate the garden outside, until the air is alive with chatter and laughter... From the quote on page forty, one may indubitably visualize how those such as Jay Gatsby or the Buchanans subsist on an everyday basis. During the Jazz ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 53. Organics Vs Organic Food The term organic has been highly overrated throughout recent years. Considered to be better for the environment and for a person s health, organics are believed to be a better option when purchasing food, when in reality they are just as good compared to regular food. Even so, organics have more drawbacks rather than benefits. With organics high price, lack of nutritional value, and environmental upset, it is no wonder why a majority of the population chooses to purchase regular food over organics. While organics may be healthier compared to regular food, the high price of organics is impractical for members in the community. Money is a key factor for consumers when purchasing food and most people do not want to give in to the high price tag when there are other options for a better deal. A pound of beef for instance, costs $9.99 organically while a regular pound of beef only costs $6.49, according to a 2015 consumer report. Based on the lower price tag, people are more prone to buy the regular beef as they can gain a necessary source of protein yet sustain the budget they desire. . When purchasing food, prices need to be considered as the views of the buyers can be changed if a product is worth more than what they want to spend. Compared to organic food, it is more reasonable for people to purchase regular food as the lower price tag allows them to buy larger quantities and varieties. Additionally, organic foods disregard different social classes within the community. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 56. Comparing The Interconnection Of Poetry And Music In The... The Interconnection of Poetry and Music in The Weary Blues Langston Hughes s poem, The Weary Blues, is an example of an ekphrasis emulating a genre of music, the blues. The poem has a musical feel, and its rhythm and tone imitate those of blues music. The blues originated from African American culture and became popular towards the end of slavery. Hughes communicates the cultural origin of blues music by focusing the poem on a Negro who plays and sings blues music. However as the poem progresses, Hughes describes actions that cannot be known by just listening to the Negro. In the last two lines of the poem, he states what goes on in the Negro s head while sleeping and describes him as sleeping like a rock or a man that s dead. Why does Hughes compare the way he sleeps to that of a dead man? How does Hughes know what goes on in the Negro s head, and why does he end the poem with a disturbing description of the Negro s sleeping state? To understand the unusual comparison and disturbing ending, we need to see how Hughes incorporates the features of blues music in the poem. The poem is written in free verse and has no steady rhythm. Writing the poem without a consistent rhythm and in free verse relates to the syncopated tune of blues music, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The racial emphasis is intensified by the facelessness of the man playing the music. Hughes identifies him by Negro, a general name for blacks, and in the ninth line, With his ebony hands on each ivory key, describes the dark color of his skin pointing again to his race. Hughes may intentionally be using the racial emphasis to describe the history of blues music, which originated from African American ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
