comparing a region of Tetrahydrocannabinol Acid (THCA) Synthase Gene. My colleague and I had
applied for the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program Grant, which funded our research and
allowed us to ascertain a successful protocol for this PCR and sequence the amplified region of THCA
Synthase Gene. However, near the end of our project, we learned another university s research team
published nearly the same work we were performing, which encouraged us to further our research
before publishing. As new data became available, we observed eleven copies of the THCA Synthase
Gene, which provided our research with a new goal to develop novel primer sets for each unique copy.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY REPORT
Although corporate social responsibility has no universal definition, it is understood to be the way
firms integrate social, environmental and economic concerns into their values, culture, decision
making, strategy and operations in a transparent and accountable manner and thereby establish better
practices within the firm, create wealth and improve society. (Industry Canada, 2011) This report will
represent the critical analysis of the current Corporate Social Responsibility practices of Air Canada
followed by recommendations for improvement.

Although it appears as if Air Canada is selflessly attempting to make the game of hockey a safer sport,
one may question if they are capable of making the rules of a professional sport which has nothing to
do with their core business. Many companies, in an attempt to save face in the public s eye, have
exercised their power to make decisions regarding matters that they have no knowledge or expertise
in. I believe Air Canada has an underlying motive of attempting to increase profitability by appearing
to society as an organization that does not tolerate or condone actions that are frowned upon by
society. Furthermore, Air Canada s headquarters are in Montreal which is the same location of the
aforementioned incident and may represent a conflict of interest.
Another pressing concern in the news headlines recently has been the unfair labour practice complaint
filed by Air Canada against the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) over the collective
bargaining negotiations

The people of Naranja were also nearly exclusively Indian (indigenous). There was even a common
but unspoken animosity towards mestizos and people of Spanish descent and origin. Fredrich had

No one still argues that it was quite significant. In 1930 s it became quite clear, that the classical
interpretation of market theory was being quite ineffective. The economic system remained in the state
of stagnation for several years in a row and now positive tendencies were being observed. For some
lasting period of time government officials relied upon Adam Smyth, who ones claimed that market is

behind their presidential candidates, and come election time, they hope to have their candidate s
supporter s turnout to vote. However, other forces such as voter ID laws may already be hindering

In addition to that, understanding how voter ID laws may impact election results, will in return,
contribute to the efforts that aim to understand the agenda behind the recent and rapid spread of such
laws. Thus, if my results are what I think they will be then voter ID laws will be known for what they

Clockwork Orange Analysis
A Clockwork Orange is a 1971 crime film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick, based on
Anthony Burgess s 1962 novel of the same name. It is a violent and disturbing film but somehow
fascinating and enjoyable at the same time. The film presents scenes of rape, physical violence and
murder because Kubrick wants to show the audience that these crimes are sickening but it s combined
with wonderful music and dance, which makes the film surreal and even funny.
Essentially it s a story focused on a British teenage, Alex DeLarge who is the leader of a 3 member
gang called droogs . Alex and his droogs spend their nights getting high on milk and then go out to
commit crimes. They carry out all sorts of crimes from rape to murder and robbery. The droogs want
to have a say in the crimes they commit but Alex asserts his authority by attacking them.
One night, things go wrong and the droogs betray Alex because they are sick of him bossing them
around. Alex gets caught by the police and is sentenced to 14 years in prison.
After two years in prison, Alex asks to be a part of an experiment; a therapy rehabilitating criminals
within two weeks but little does he know about the treatment. The treatment is essentially torture. He
is strapped to a chair, injected with drugs and forced to watch violent films with his eyes propped
open, which makes him feel sick and diseased. The government truly believed that this treatment
technique would cut down crimes.
At the end of two weeks, the treatment is over and the Minister wants to prove people that Alex is now
cured. He gathers people to put Alex through a test and Alex is unable to fight against the attacks and
feels sick when he sees a naked woman. For that reason, Alex is out as a free man and things get
worse outside.
The film is a protest against mind manipulations and political problems as well as social problems.

Reflection About Korean Music
There were many things going on within week three because this class is coming close to the end,
unfortunately. As I reflected back, I wished this class could be a semester long course, yet I could not
control the situation. With this short period of time, I felt like I learned about Korean society that I

During the students orientation, I was impressed by the pansori performance. It was something that I
had never seen before, yet I was addicted to it. How I am going to see the performance again? I did
not get a chance to absorb to pansori. Luckily, the professor invited the pansori performers to the class
