influences individuals to conform to social norms. Psychological researchers have long been interested
in the reasoning behind social conformity. Social conformity can result in the change of behavior or
even the belief of an individual when it comes to them trying to fit within a group. The change can be
due to pressure from a social group. By looking deeper into group size and familiarity, it is possible to
accurately predict behavior for groups and individuals in the future.
In psychology, conformity is defined as the alteration of one s beliefs and behaviors to better match
those around you. There are typically two different forms of conformity, normative and informational.
Normative conformity is becoming compliant to group pressure with the want to fit in. On the other
hand, Information conformity refers to when a person looks to the group for guidance when they lack
knowledge in a certain area. Conformity also can range in different levels such as from how people
dress to how people act in public. This force is what drives even the most simple of decisions that a

The Good Beginning
My journey began, I was leaving the Tampa airport and heading to Chicago, destination Great Lakes,
to become a sailor. At the airport, I was full of many different thoughts and emotions, being excited,
but scared of what was to come.
Arriving at the Chicago O Hare airport we were met by a group of Petty Officers who were a lot nicer
than I thought they would be. Before we left the airport, we had to throw out anything we were not

Germanys had their bases on top of the long hills. Which lead them to look down on their enemies,

It is hard to just pick one theory of language acquisition that is the truest for me. I would have to say

Unfortunately, I did not know the language the student s spoke, which was Russian. I guess for a
moment I knew what it was like to be one of those new students coming into a classroom not knowing
the language. However, my little ones were quick to want to teach me their language. More than half
of the class spoke English while a handful were English Language Learners. This was my first
encounter with an English Language Learner class. I learned pretty quickly on my own what to do. I
partnered students up to become helping buddies, therefore making this transition easier on my

a sport. I believe so because it requires skill, strategy,and team effort. Esports players known as
Gamers train for hours including days, till they have their tournaments. ESports is rising higher and
higher each year, for an example Last year s League of Legends tournament peaked at 11.2 million
viewers, for example, whereas the NHL Finals only hit 8 million. That just astonishes me, hockey has
