Before watching the movie Full Metal Jacket, I thought it would be more of a comedic type of war
movie. This movie portrayed the sad part of war, where you lose your closes friends, and shows how
gruesome and cold war could be. In today s society, video games only portray the positive stigma of
war instead of showing the negatives and dark part of it.

solids of organic nature. The main focus on this design will be organic compounds in the domestic
waste water BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and TSS (Total Suspended Solids). Based on the
Royal Commission for UK and Ireland the concentrations of effluents to be disposed on receiving
water are 20mg/L for BOD5 and 30mg/L for TSS as theses parameters apparently would not cause any
harm and will not be favourable for other process such as eutrophication. Considering that
Severodvinsk is situated close to the Dvina River and White Sea these concentrations does not need to
be highly restricted once that there is plenty of water available for further dilutions. Is important to

Moreover, it is with the utmost importance, that the courts strategize, on how to empower and
motivate parent s participation and involvement. The most obvious or realistic approach, would be to
utilize studies with concrete outcomes and conclusion, or expound on, or develop a study or focus
group identifying the parents needs, parenting style, barriers, and other challenges that makes parental
involvement difficult. Thus, it would allow the implementation of practical and viable solutions,
specifically changing the systemic problems, empowering parents, and forging a collaborative
relationship between the juvenile justice system, the community, and parents. Some things, should to
be immediately done, such as treating parents with empathy and respect, understanding that they have
rights and should be informed of those rights. Some of the apparent rights of the parents are fair

Stage freight and speaking in front of large groups of people is on top of every human fear. Face to
face public speaking puts hefty demands on speakers and listeners. The mixture of personality, body
and voices as well as chemistry makes speech a form of communication with exciting energy.
Irrespective of the attention given, it will create a significant and meaningful message. Without an
effective presentation the speech will unlikely create desire effects. In the article Don t be Shy (Aviv,
2016) it states how public speaking affects students to the point they will drop the class as long as they
don t have to speak in front of it or even sitting in class and having to raise your hand to ask a question
in front of the class stops many students due to fear of embarrassment. We all struggle with
communication anxiety, and uneasiness with unfamiliar situations. It also describes how improving
certain aspects in presentations will allow enough experience and confidence to have the ability to
successfully speak publicly, because we all know that speaking well if often crucial to getting a job.
The article has some good points, teaching the students first hand to overcome stage freight. One
professor helped her students with communication anxiety urging them to make index cards with
opening lines for starting conversations (Aviv, 2016). Universities are all aware of the anxiety that

Malcolm Gladwell s The Tipping Point is radical because he talks about how the environment can
change people behavior. The environment could have caused people to change for better or worst. For
example: When people were placed in an environment of filth they are more violent and hectic
causing the crime rate to increase. When you come from a bad neighborhood you are statistically more
likely to be dangerous and belligerent. If you were to place people into a different environment, you

The change came from simply fixing the trains, not from wanting to change but from cleaning up the
environment. Showing that they are more than what they see. Clean makes you feel better about
yourself as for dirty makes you feel scum like. So why not act how you feel? It is events like what I
stated above that helped the people to see that change can be just as simple as cleaning the train. Being
in an environment filled with filth, stench, and nothingness in the air, can lead you to doing bad things.
In the story four men were acting like they had something and when approached a man were then shot.
If you dig deeper, you truly find out the four young men didn t have an easy life. They came from a
horrible place. Somewhere less fortunate than they needed to be. That key setting caused them to react
and see things more angrily and act out as such.
