This Is Home Jack, will you watch where you re driving? You almost hit the guardrail, Gwen said,
holding tight to her seat. Jack put his foot on the brake and the car slowly drifted down to fifty miles
per hour. He hadn t been focused on driving. His mind was set on the conference he had in New York
in two days. It was a very important meeting and he had to be on the top of his game. Jack had worked
as a stockbroker for the past eight years and was quite good at his job. In fact, he was the top account
manager at the company he worked with. Because of this, he was always traveling, going to various
business meetings, visiting various clients, and buying and selling stocks throughout the U.S. Gwen,
his wife, frequently accompanied him on these trips. The two had recently gotten married, but had to
postpone their honeymoon in Guam because Jack had to go to New York for a business meeting. Ever
since they were engaged, Jack and Gwen were always traveling. Gwen knew it was to be expected,
this was Jack s job after all, but she wished she could spend more time with her husband. Jack was
frustrated by it as well, even more so than Gwen. He wanted dearly to spend every minute with her,
but time was at the essence, and stocks didn t sell themselves. Gwen could see that Jack was flustered
and couldn t help but worry what was upsetting him. Jack, Gwen said quietly. Tell me what s wrong,
please? Jack slumped forward in his seat and gave a sigh. He put on his

Reasons Why Nazis Came to Power in 1933
Reasons Why Nazis Came to Power in 1933 There are several factors that enabled the Nazi party, with
Hitler as its leader, was able to come to power in Germany in 1933. There are 5 main reasons involved
history, economics, politics and the personality of Hitler. The main political events occurred in 1923
and 1933. The Treaty of Versailles was one of the most important causes that led to Hitler s rise in
Germany. From the German point of view the treaty was incredibly harsh and devastating for
Germany. The treaty contained five major points that would be Germany s demise. Germany was
reduced severely as a military power. Due to this the country also had a huge problem in dealing with

The Saar Coalmines made a lot of money, and were very profitable to Germany. A big industry had
been taken away from Germany. All three of these points, accepting the blame for the war,
disarmament and the lost of the territory made the country feel weak. It was a total humiliation to the
Germans and to the man in the army at that time, Hitler. All of Germany s overseas colonies were
given to the victors as mandates, or territories held in trust until they were ready for independence.
The other terms of the treaty was the war reparations that Germany was forced to pay. The sum of this
was £6,6oo million. Germany felt this was far too much. The lost of Germany s territory e.g. the Saar
coalfields and other territories made it harder for Germany to pay the reparations. It caused a
tremendous economic problems in Germany. The German people were starving and living in poverty.
This soon caused inflation that sprouted to hyperinflation and so the Economic depression of the 1920
´s in Germany occurred. This is an ongoing long term cause was the heart itself of many more causes
in the rise of Hitler. This an minor reason why the Nazi rise in power because one of their ideas is to
over turn the Treaty of Versailles and the anti Versailles attitude in Germany help put Nazi into power.
Across all social class appeal. But the Treaty of Versailles is an indirect reason for the Nazi rise

Controversy On Light
Light being a particle or wave has provoked controversy amongst many scientists across the world.
Back then some scientist argued that light was a particle and not a wave. Others, however, believed
that light was a wave and thought it had no properties of a particle. Einstein decided to take matters
into his own hands and find out what light was with the help of Max Planck.
Light, to begin with, is electromagnetic radiation that is extremely wide or small but enough for it to
be visible for us to see. There are various types of color with different wavelengths that affect us in
different ways. For example, the light from the Sun warms up the Earth and keeps us from freezing to
death. Other types of Light like ultraviolet with shorter wavelength ... Show more content on

Isaac Newton observed that light traveled in a direct line which led him to think that light was made
up little particles. Although when you shine two lights opposite from each other they did not collide
and scatter everywhere. He saw that they went through each other which made him confused. He also
saw that when the light hit the water it bent, (This bending of a ray of light when it passes from one
substance into another substance is called refraction). Even though he didn t completely understand
light he still made extraordinary discovers like the one I listed above.
Lasers are (emission of electromagnetic radiation) and (high speed electrons are forced to move in a
circular path by a magnetic field). Light is made up of photos compacted with energy. The short the
wave the greater the energy. Because green light has a shorter wavelength it can active some dyes
because of it s intensity. A strong laser has the power to heat things up because it s the intense power.
This goes to show how light can be absorbed and generate

Characteristics Of Veristic Surrealism
Surrealism As the world began healing from World War I, modern artists decided to listen to their
subconscious minds. Surrealism was a new style of art that formed from Dadaism. The leader of
surrealism, André Breton, believed that because surrealism required unique thoughts, it showed an
active mind. Not only is surrealism found in art, it is also found in theater, literature, philosophy, and
politics. The creation of surrealism is achieved by abstract or realistic images that may be bursting
with voice or cold and impersonal. Bending the principles of design to give new feelings could create
this feeling. After World War I, European artists explored their unconscious minds to create
compositions that challenged common beliefs of artistic and emotional expression. Surrealism can be
difficult to categorize due to the differences in styles and methods of creation. The two main
surrealism techniques, automatism and veristic surrealism, are shown by various views of the
conscious and unconscious. The focus of automatism is feelings. The emphasis of theses artists is less
analytical. They think of their art as a way to connect the subconscious to the conscious. This usually
results in a lack of form. Veristic surrealism is a way to link spiritual realities to the material world.
They used objects as metaphors to show inner reality and to understand the real world. Dadaism was
the style that later morphed into surrealism. It was a coping mechanism after World War I. The Dada

Radiation and Tyroid Cancer Essay
For decades, the effects of radiation has been studied by doctors around the world. X rays are used in
the medical and dental field to take radiographs of certain parts of a person s body. Some have become
concerned of the long term and short term effects of having x rays taken because of the radiation that
is exposed. Since the rise of concern, studies have been done to find any type of link between cancer
and radiation from x rays. Specifically, in dental x rays, researchers have been performing studies
trying to prove that radiation from x rays in the dental office can cause cancer . In 2011, Colleagues
from the National Cancer Institute conducted a study involving dental x rays. Sara Schonfield and
others did comparisons with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dr. Oz believes and has been encouraging people to limit the use of x rays and that it raises the risk of
causing cancer (Brody.) He said thyroid cancer was the fastest growing cancer in women. He said it
was from dental x rays and mammograms. His thoughts were that people who had more than 5 x rays
a year were at a higher risk of being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He also strongly recommended
that anyone who goes to get dental x rays done should use a lead thyroid shield. On the other hand, a
thyroid cancer specialist, Dr. Leonard Wartofsky argues that with the new technology and scientific
equipment we have these days, there is no reason to be concerned. The amount of radiation that is
actually exposed is not enough to cause harmful damage to anyone. Also, the radiation that is actually
exposed from dental x rays has decreased a huge amount for the past two decades. According to
researchers in England, their conclusion to their studies was that further research needed to be
conducted. They reported that several factors may possibly play an important role leading to the
increased diagnoses of thyroid cancer (Nordqvist.) Their case control study was in fact the largest ever
done, but they also wanted to let the public know that the results should be treated with caution
because the data were necessarily based on self reporting by the

Sweetland Character
Personality Personality is the sum total of the physical, mental, emotional, and social characteristics of
an individual (dictionary.com). The personality of a character is what makes the plot happen with that
character. Characters are developed by actions, appearance, speech, other character s comments,
author s comments, and unity of character and action. The three types of characters are round, flat, and
anthropomorphic. The plot is the order in which things move and happen in a story (Sweetland, 2016).
A writer will convey a character s emotional personality in a scene through active, non verbal
communication with the right intensity and frequency. The emotional, mental, and social qualities to
distinguish one entity from another are character. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Every story will send a character on an outer journey which is the dramatic action plot line. This
journey will end up causing the character to undergo and inner transformation. The transformation is
shown through the character s emotional development. Tracking the character s reactions to the
dramatic action in each scene and plotting out the protagonist s emotional development over the entire
story on a scene tracker ensures a believable and smooth transformation in the character. The
transformation will take place in each scene and span the entire story. If tension, conflict, and suspense
drive the reader to turn the page or send the viewer to the edge of his or her seat, the character
emotional development connects and inspires that person to the story. Viewers go to the movies and
readers read stories to learn about a character s emotional development. Therefore, the character will
become a primary layer in the overall story. Personality is easy to read; people are judged as

My Family Holiday
Today was going to be one of the most irritating days for my family and we didn t know it. We
thought our family holiday was going great, there hadn t been any arguments that cause my mother to
say, That s it, pack everything!, I ve had enough, we re going back home . Even if she had said that,I
would highly doubt that she would have packed the car to drive ten hours back home. The last full day
of our trip was today, so we decided to visit friends of my parents, Bruce and Martha. Their house was
around an hour away from the caravan park, so we started preparing for our mini trip, finally about
half an hour later, we were ready to leave. We climb into our petite black car and set off driving along
the little road out of the site.Driving along happily looking out the window at all the brightly fresh
green grassed fields catching a glance of the mixture of cars pass by my window. As we near our
destination, we turn off up this little road that led us beneath a large bridge. The road had a slight twist
and my stomach felt like a field of butterflies. Around a sharp bend, Into sight I noticed a sign that
reads Welcome to Portsmouth . My father s face looked astonished as he saying aloud I m surprised
we made it, without any problems , well he spoke to soon. Around the corner, I noticed a few run
down pubs and restaurants, reaching a set of traffic lights and of course we ended up getting stop at
the red light. It felt like everyone and their Grandmother got through except

brains, when scanned show that they differ in how it looks and works. The brain of a criminal suffer
usually from depression and stress which shows in the brain when cat scanned. An average person s
brain differs because they have less stress and will rarely suffer from depression unlike a criminals

How are the Majority of Celebrities Inappropriate Role...
People look up to celebrities as role models, the youth especially. The youth believes that if they
imitate these cynosures they will become affluent and legendary. Famous people imply that if the
youth act insubordinately they will be successful in life. Celebrities of today are not appropriate role
models for this generation.
A celebrity is a famous or well known person, someone who has fame or is renowned
(dictionary.com). When people think of a celebrity they think of someone they would see on
television, in magazines, or here about on the radio; those are the celebrities I am referring to here, but
those aren t the only celebrities out there. There are also other interpretations for the word celebrity.
My favorite alternative to the typical thought of a celebrity is the term local celebrity. A local celebrity
or hometown celebrity doesn t have to be rich or world famous, they are known for doing something
that has either impacted the local area or has made his/her hometown proud. My focus is on the
quintessential definition of celebrity, the ones that are known for their influence on the current
generation, my generation.
The current generation is easily influenced because it is completely focused on being accepted by
society and trying to find ones individual identity. The youth of my generation believe that their
identity is based on society s acceptance; not on their own thoughts, desires, and opinions of
themselves. Most celebrities preach about individuality to

Descriptive Essay On Taco
Tuesday is Taco Tuesday s at our house. Learn how to make this delicious shredded pork tacos for
dinner with Smithfield® Marinated Pork.
School is officially back in session and has been for our kids here in Colorado for the past two weeks.
With driving the kids to and from school, helping with homework and doing all the other chores in
between, there really isn t much time left for myself. I also have to think about dinner and what I can
do that s quick, doesn t take up too much of my time, and in turn leaves me with some time to really
enjoy with the kids before it s time for bed. Tacos has always been a favorite of mine and as I
mentioned, Tuesday s is generally taco night for us. With my list in hand I decided to head to my local
commissary to get my ingredients.
As a retired military veteran, I love beating the rush and taking advantage of the early bird shopping.
It s generally when most of the soldiers are at home after an early morning of PT and their wives or
husbands are taking their kids to school, or are at work. I just love having the store to myself and
taking my time through the aisles whilst looking for what I need without having to say excuse me .
My husband has been saying that we needed to change up our recipes and do something different
every once in a while. So instead of the regular beef or chicken tacos, I decided that we were going to
pork instead. However, I had no idea what to expect in the pork department, and was I surprised.

My Love Of Math As A Career In Math
When I sit down to think about critical events in my K 12 experiences, my first thought goes to when I
changed schools. I switched from a private school, to a public school between my 3rd and 4th grade
years. Once I switched schools, I realized how much more advanced I was in mathematics as
compared to my peers. Because I am such a competitive person, I was immediately drawn to the
things that I was best at, because then I can win . Before I changed schools, I knew that I enjoyed
math, but this realization is really what cemented my love of math. So, for this reason, the majority of
my life, I ve known that I wanted to do something related to math. These feelings only intensified as I
got older and into classes like Algebra and Pre Calculus. For me, when I was faced with a math
problem, it was like a puzzle. I knew there was an answer and I had faith in myself that I could find
the answer if I kept trying hard enough. I enjoyed sitting down, and working on a problem, because it
was so rewarding and exciting when I figured out the answer. Despite knowing that I wanted to do
something math related for so long, I never had any idea what specific career within the mathematics
field that I wanted to pursue. Most of the mathematics careers that I looked into sounded really boring
to my early teens self. The only one that somewhat caught my attention was teaching. In addition to
that, my Geometry teacher, who I also had for Algebra II the next year, was an amazing teacher who

What Is The Reflection Of The Private Life Of Henry Viii
The goal of The Private Life of Henry VIII was to show King Henry s life behind closed doors. As
king, Henry needed to put on a very masculine, tough, and stern image to protect his people, but
behind the scenes, he was a hopeless romantic searching for someone to rule with. He hides his soft
side from everyone in the kingdom, which the movie accurately shows. At first, the movie portrays
Henry in a negative light. He seems very evil: killing one wife and immediately marrying the next. He
is short with his courts people and comes off profoundly uncultured. At his meals, he devours his food
and throws the bones on the floor. He is constantly needing to be cleaned up after and watched. Even
though he shows this ignorant side to everyone else, he secretly cares about his image and how he
acts. He goes to get his beard trimmed and comes down his hair before he talks to a woman he is
interested in. When he talks to Catherine Howard, his fifth wife, he knocks on the door before coming
in. He talks sweetly to her and isn t short with her. Although he portrayed this tough guy with the
kingdom, he was a teddy bear at heart hoping for love and affection. Henry didn t always want an
everlasting love. Jane Seymour s (his third wife), life was hardly even shown. The movie showed
when the maids were preparing the bed for their wedding night and not much else. Henry had an
appetite for sex and didn t really care about the woman herself. He even makes a comment saying, If

Child Labor Prostitution In The United States
Many countries don t have enough laws on labor. Many countries still have millions of child laborers,
human trafficking for work is becoming more and more common, and many parents cannot support
their families on their own because of low paying jobs or not enough jobs so children have to go into
labor.
There are million of working children all around the world, for example, Asia has the highest
incidence of child labor (152.5 million), followed by Africa (80 million) and Latin America (17.5
million). Measured in proportional terms approximately 40 percent of African children work, while 20
percent of children work in Asia and Latin America respectively. (Palley) The worldwide population
of children under fourteen who work full time is thought to exceed 200 million . Obviously if most
children participate in child labor, then there needs to be more laws regulating it and a better way of
enforcing the laws. The general minimum age was at the first 14 years, later raised to 15, and 16 for
specific dangerous environments and night work (. There are laws on the general age someone can be

Essay on Premarital Cohabitation
Premarital Cohabitation is a rapidly growing phenomenon in our society today. Cohabitation is
defined as two people living in the same household who are unrelated, and of the opposite sex (Kunz,
2012). There are many studies that state disadvantages to cohabitating, before marriage, but at the
same time there are many studies stating little to no difference in cohabitating couples and couples
who did not cohabitate before marriage. There are quite of few different types of cohabitation before
marriage that Kunz (2012) lists her book. A very common type is the trail marriage, the opportunity
for couples to test out their compatibility in a long term mindset. This is more typical of college
students and graduates rather than that of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Premarital cohabitation has become immensely popular with the younger generations. In 1970 there
were 500,000 cohabitating couples and in 2000 there were 7.5 million and that number is rapidly
growing (Kunz, 2012). Statistics show that nearly two thirds of Americans will most likely cohabitate
with a relationship partner before marriage (Gordon, 2012). Some researchers relate this to the rising
divorce rate in America, coming in at nearly 50 percent of marriages, to cohabitation before marriage.
This concept is called the cohabitation effect. A couple cohabitating before marriage is automatically
associated with a higher risk for divorce. Although there have been studies denying these claims that
cohabitating before marriage has a little effect on marriage stability, they have their exceptions.
Kunz (2012) states that the cohabitation effect isn t as prominent as researchers originally thought. Its
been shown that when a couple cohabitates before marriage, with the intent to marry in the future,
they have equal experiences as a couple who did not cohabitate before marriage. The marriage
stability and health of the couple did not differ. Here s where the studies and statistics that prove
higher divorce rates and poor health come in. These conditions are found in couples who cohabitate
before marriage with no intent to become married in the future. These types of cohabitating
relationships relate to negative communication between

Reflection About Hunger
You ask me what is hunger? Listen to me. Here I am, famished, empty, and with every little feature of
my bones exposed and the rumbling of my stomach near you. I will tell you. Hear me out. This is not
a joke, nor a pleasant position to be in. Yet, when you think of hunger, you say to yourself, Oh yes, I
ve been hungry before. I ve missed breakfast. Then, my stomach starts to growl, big deal. No, you
have it wrong. Put yourself in my shoes where I desire just a morsel of food in the dumpster in the
alley.
Hunger is being thankful for the hamburger meal someone cheerfully gave to you. With my stomach
aching for a meal, an individual dressed in modesty spots me out from the busy crowd. My clothes
were covered in muck from laying on the grease smudged concrete from that night; however, that
individual approaches me with charm and politely asked how was my day. I told them I was doing
fine, but a meal right now would be great. The individual hands me their lunch they were going to
have for work and wishes me a great day. I looked at the bag like a child being loose in a candy store.
With glee, I opened the McDonald s bag and pulled out a Big Mac meal. I consume each bite
viciously, leaving no crumbs like it was my last time eating. I cried with gladness because I hope I can
thank that person again one day. It was my first meal since three days ago. Hunger is dumpster diving

Leadership Qualities Of The Great Leaders Of Our Time
Anyone can steer the ship, but it takes a Leader to chart the course (Maxwell viii). Leadership. This
concept has created many debates throughout history. What does it take to be classified as a great
leader? What intangible characteristics are inherent to the great leaders of our time? Why have so
many failed when put into a leadership role? During my 27 plus years in the military and over 20
years in the construction industry, I have been exposed to a wide variety of leaders and their
leadership style. These examples have demonstrated to me that there are just as many bad as good. My
journey down this path of growth has enlightened my awareness of realization that not everyone can
be a leader and it takes hard work to be a successful leader. Never in my wildest dreams would I have

The Basic Model Of Visual Cryptography And The Extended Model
Abstract
Visual Cryptography is a type of cryptographic scheme used to encode a secret image into shadow
images called shares or layers such that it can t be decrypted using the human visual system unless
certain qualified subsets of the shares are used. The secret image is encoded without the use of any
cryptographic computations. In this paper we will discuss the basic model of visual cryptography and
the extended model; using the k out of n scheme.
Keywords: Visual Cryptography, Extended Visual Cryptography. 1. Introduction
Secret sharing is a scheme that permits a secret message to be shared among a set P of n participants.
The secret is shared in such a way that only qualified subsets of P can recover the secret, any
nonqualified subset has no information on the secret. We take into consideration, the problem of
encrypting pictures and printed texts such that it is perfectly secure without the hassle of using
cryptographic computations. In 1979, Shamir [7] and Blakley [8] introduced the concept of a
threshold scheme. A (k, n) threshold scheme is a method whereby n pieces of information of a secret
key k, called shares are distributed among n participants so that the k cannot be re constructed from
the knowledge of fewer than k shares. In 1995 Naor and Shamir [1] proposed a new type of
cryptographic scheme, which could encode and decode secret images without any cryptographic
computations. The reason this scheme was considered remarkable was that the secret message

An Unauthorized Purchase Of A Computer Game
The reporting student, the roommate, and the accused have resided together in the same residence live
room since the commencement of the fall 2015 semester. Admittedly, tensions between the three male
first year freshman have long since existed stemming from general personality clashes. Those clashes
it is believed furnish the basis of the initial incident.
As some point in the fall semester, perhaps during the month of October, the roommate witnessed the
accused accessed the reporting student s personal computer without permission and with the reporting
person s knowledge. On this occasion the accused was observed making an unauthorized purchase of
a computer game on the reporting person s computer. At some point thereafter, the roommate recalls,
the reporting person informed both the accused and the roommate that he did not account for specific
purchase that had appeared against his account.
On another occasion, the accused invited two other students into the room the three shares to show
them what he had discovered on the reporting student s computer. Upon entering into the room, the
accused was seen accessing the reporting student s personal computer, making using of passwords and
code accesses that had not previously been shared with the accused by the reporting student. Once
accused had imputed the various passwords and or access codes, he directed the two students to view

The Skimming Of A Business Plan

5. Poorly Written Plan
5. Poorly Written Plan
This ranks up there with sloppy. When you submit a plan, it does not need to be textbook perfect
English. Investors understand that business plans are not written by English professors. The sort of
misspellings that should be caught in a spell check are unforgivable. It shows a tremendous lack of
effort if a business plan isn t even spell checked.
Is the plan clearly written? When an investor reads a plan, is it clear enough to make sense quickly?
Investors don t want to de code a business plan. They just want to read it. Poor grammar, poor word
choice, wrong words, and too many proofreading errors make a business plan too much of a chore to
get through. It gets the plan tossed into the reject pile quickly.

The Ecstasy Of Themes In The Lion King
The Lion King film exposes an array of themes. Discuss.
The Lion King animation by Walt Disney reveals a variety of themes. Simba experiences intrapersonal
and interpersonal conflict. Due to this conflict three important themes loss, family and change are
emphasized.
An important theme The Lion King exposes is loss. To confirm this, Simba gets caught in gorge
during the wildebeest stampede. Scar tells Mufasa. Mufasa runs to save his son. Scar causes his death
and then blames Simba. Simba what have you done?... it was an accident I didn t mean for it to

after that Timon and Pumba walk Simba to their humble home and when they get there Simba is
surprised because of how beautiful the whole place is.Timon and Pumba introduced Simba to bugs

sometimes people need to enter a new environment. Furthermore, when Simba is all grown up, one
afternoon he hears Timon and Pumba screaming because of a big, crazy lion is chasing them to eat
them. He runs to help his friends and all of a sudden a couple of seconds later Simba and the big,

Follow-Up Assessment
During the spring semester of my junior year at Indiana State University, I had the opportunity to tutor
two second grade students as part of my English as a Second Language (ESL) minor. These students
were motivated to learn and understand the material being taught. Upon being successful on a follow
up assessment, the students no longer required services for English learning. I know this was
accomplished through a team effort of teachers, aides, tutors, and administration. It was a great benefit
to be a part of this noteworthy victory.
Having much success with these students, I was asked to stay to continue working with ESL learners.
I was introduced to a student needing tutoring and approached this situation as I did the semester

What Is The Strategic Management Of Tesco
The retail sector dealing in food and drink reflects the largest industry operating in the United
Kingdom through which more than two million people are provided with employment in production,
manufacturing, and retailing. Recently, the UK supermarkets have increased the scrutiny related to
their treatment of suppliers apart from the fact that the strategic supply networks are still considered as
the important element of supermarket strategies. For the purpose of this paper, Tesco is selected for
the analysis of strategic management using some of the models or frameworks (Ndungu, 2014). The
paper is providing a detailed insight into the selected supermarket emphasising on the external
environment analysis along with the analysis of the organisation s resources and competence. The
future strategic options are also suggested for the Tesco regarding its resource based strategies.

The most influential factors on the economic aspect include the higher levels of unemployment due to
which the effective demand for products may decline and further influencing the demand required for
production of products and services. These economic factors are beyond control of the organisation
but the influence on performance and the marketing mix can be observed. It is obvious that the
international business is increasing and it is expected to contribute sufficient amounts to the profits of
Tesco over next few years. Considering all such aspects, the organisation is found to be highly
dependent on the market of the Unite Kingdom. Therefore, Tesco would be adversely influenced by
any sort of decline in the food market of the United Kingdom leading to the exposure to the market

Reaction Temperature And The Rate Of Reaction
Discussion The experiment investigated the relationship between temperature and the rate of reaction
for the reaction of iron (III) nitrate with sodium thiosulfate. The results show that the rate of iron (III)
reacting forming iron (II) increases as the temperature of the solutions increases. Table 1 shows that
when the temperature of the reactants is 4℃, it takes 54.173 seconds for the reaction to occur to the
stage that the cross to appears. The time taken for the solution to reach the same transparency reduces
to 16.37 seconds when the temperature is 25℃ and to 2.09 seconds when the temperature is 65℃. The
line of best fit in Graph 1 suggests that there is an inverse relationship between temperature and
reaction time. This indicates that as the temperature increases, the rate of reaction also increases. The
results for the rate of reaction, as seen in Table 2, suggest that as the temperature increases, the rate of
reaction increases at a progressively greater rate. When the temperature increases 21℃ from 4℃ to
25℃, the rate of reaction increases from 1.846 s 1 to 6.1100 s 1 while a similar increase in
temperature from 25℃ to 65℃ has a much more significant difference in the rate of reaction: 47.85s 1
at 65℃. This supports the hypothesis, as the rate of reaction increases as the temperature increases.
According to collision theory, increasing the temperature increases the kinetic energy of the particles
in the solution. This allows both a net increase in the energy

What Does Goblin Market Represent
Goblin Market and the fall of Eve Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti is a long narrative poem that
published in 1862 in a anthology of many of Rosetties poems. Goblin Market tells the story of two

relationship between sisters. But many other s has interpreted this poem to have much more adult

Important Place In My Life
One of the most important places in my life is a quiet place in Cook County, Illinois.
That place would be a cemetery called St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. To many, this may be a weird
place to choose, but to me it is a safe place to vent and think. You see, St. Mary is the resting place of
my mother, Kimberly Bitsie. Those reasons, are why it is the most important place in my world.
Cook County is not a place I have ever lived, but my family and I try to visit as often as we can. My
Dad, little brother and I usually try visit once every two to three years, because we visit our
grandparents while in Illinois. When we visit though, we always try to make time to visit the cemetery
because we don t know the next we will be able to see her. It s about a thirty five minute drive from
my grandparent s house, but it s worth the drive. We spend on average thirty to forty minutes at the
cemetery. Before we go into the cemetery, we always stop by this one store near the cemetery, that
sells flower and decorations, to buy a spinner to put on mom s grave. I was only four when my mom
died of cancer, and I only have a few memories of her. So, being able to visit and try to connect is
what makes it special to me. When we go to visit the cemetery, it is usually around midday. Unlike
other cemeteries I have seen or visited, this cemetery I would put on the better side of the list, with
upkeep and location. When you first drive into the cemetery, you see a big gate and a beautiful stone

Walt Disney was an inventor as well as an idealistic. Due to the fact, he was also one of the most
successful business leaders of his time. The 10 principles that made Walt Disney became famous and
being the greatest icons of the 20th century are shown below.
Firstly, Walt Disney provides promise instead of product. The legend goes on when Walt Disney was
sitting on a bench while watching his daughters ride a carousel when he came up with the concept of
Disney World. He noticed amusement parks and state fairs were always in bad condition and poorly
organized. Aside from all this bad aspect, the employees were very rude towards the customers. His

detail which causes to forcing projects to go over budget and past deadline because of feeling not
satisfied with the project.
Thirdly,Walt Disney always pursue their passion and believes that their money will flow eventually.
Walt Disney undergo bankrupt more than once, invest everything he had in terms of his own personal
assets in order to build his studio, his films and pursue his dreams. The greater profit one project
produced, the deeper intensity of the next project would be. His vision was constantly devoloping, and
he utilize whatever capital he had to allow that vision to evolve. His films and theme parks were
symbols of love, construct to revolutionize an industry, rather than magnify profits.
Fourthly, Walt Disney always stay true to his values and missions. Walt Disney was famous for
quoting, I hope that we never lose sight of one thing, that it was all started by a mouse. Many years
later, Mickey Mouse is still the main icon of the Disney franchise, defining all the good will and

Even though nowadays religion is becoming more private, it has had such a fundamental role in our

To this day, no one knows who is the creator of the blockchain or the cryptocurrency Bitcon, but we
can derive, from the references in the portable document format on bitcoin.org, that the idea is not
original to the creator. Nonetheless, the creation of the file put forth a working idea for a [...] peer to
peer version of electronic cash [that] would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party
to another without going through a financial institution and the network [would] timestamp
transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain hashed based proof of work forming a record that

What is the blockchain?
The blockchain is a very complex topic and like the internet you only need to know the basics of how
it works and not what goes behind the scenes, to have it running, because there would be others with
the capacity and knowledge to administer that part for the rest of us. Accordingly, I will attempt to

of distributed ledger, comprised of unchangeable, digitally recorded data in packages called blocks (
Blockchain Technologies ). As illustrated by Ameer Rosic, the blockchain is a block of data which is

typically over a network. The principles of service orientation are independent of any vendor, product

The Life of Galileo
The Battle For Truth
Throughout the course of history, from era to era, mankind has been on a continuous attempt to
perpetuate what they perceive as the truth; and in doing so, embark on a quest to find their true
identity and place in life. One must realize that the common theme in all literature is the search for
identity and belonging. Bertolt Brecht, author of The Life of Galileo, effectively uses the developing
character Galileo Galilei to portray a strong message; a message which five hundred years after the
fact has still not been completely comprehended. Through Galileo s continuous battle with the Church
in prevailing his work, Brecht is telling the readers that in any one man s attempt to propagate the
truth, whether it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

After the Old Cardinal implicitly tells Galileo that his research and teachings symbolize atheism, he is
approached by Clavius whom tells Galileo that he is right and that he is invited to Rome to show his
research. It is interesting to see Galileo s response in crediting reason for his achievement. It is here
where the reader sees Galileo s thoughts and perceptions on life; that science and its achievements
should not only be credited to the founder yet the society that encourages these findings; that the
progress of human kind as a whole should be the objective of inventions. Using Galileo, Brecht
continuously stresses these points throughout the play and is making it clear that he is against the
notion of the discouragement of ideas, inventions, and thinking. Although external forces such as the
church and other characters do not influence Galileo s personal belief, there are also internal forces,
such as the battle against self, that also influence Galileo s perception on both his work and human
kind. It is through his experiences with Andrea, the young protégé of Galileo, that we see the character
of Galileo at the beginning of the play. In

Development Is Not A Synonym For Infrastructure
Development is not a synonym for infrastructure. Yet, these two words are often used in
interchangeably. Halifax, a small city in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada is currently taking on
the project of building a new convention center to replace the old and derelict convention center. This
project has been widely accepted and praised by many local government officials and business people
as a tremendous step forward and a driver for the city s growth. While this project can be defined as
new infrastructure, this alone does not justify its denotement as a development. What allows
infrastructure to also be defined as development is its ability to create positive change, or put more

Convention centers are generally not expected to make a profit on their operations or cover their
construction costs . As a result, the vast majority of projects are covered by government funding with
the hope that the economic benefits for the city will justify this subsidy. These new or refurbished
convention centers are expected to bring in more foreign visitors, increasing tourism and bringing in
foreign capital. While this can be true, examples of success stories lie in cities where tourism is
already prevalent and lends themselves to larger cities far more than smaller ones . Similarly,
projections are made under the assumption that all conference and event attendees will be visitors.
Project revenue received from local hotels, restaurants, and stores is determined under this premise.
This assumption is largely exaggerated, as studies have shown that the number of hotel rooms
estimated to be used during a given year was one third of the initial projections. This is because locals
make up a large portion of conference attendees . As a result, most spending is from local residents
rather than visitors, completely negating the purpose of building a center to bring in external revenue.
It is apparent that since attendees are primarily local residents, there is no increase in sales revenue at
neighboring businesses. Moreover, this particular project has proven to not only be unbeneficial for
surrounding restaurants and retailers,

How Did Charles White Influence The Civil Rights Movement
Charles White Jr. was born in Chicago on April 2, 1918 to the parents of Ethel Gary and Charles
White Sr. At a young age, White realized his passion for art and was only fueled more when one day
after school he met art students from the Art Institute of Chicago who taught him how to mix paint.
Not too long after did White begin to skip school because of discrimination and got a job working for
the Regal Theater, meeting many other black artists who influenced him to be an artist; White was
even able to attend a class at the Art Institution. Two years later when he was sixteen, he met many
artists, poets and intellectuals who exposed him to many new ideas at a party and was greatly
impacted by the philosophy New Negro, a term implying a refusal to submit to racial laws and dignity

Disadvantages Of Elastomers
1. Segmented polyurethanes
Segmented polyurethanes are a broad class of polymers whose properties range from those
characteristic of tough plastics to very soft rubbers, depending on the soft segment length and
concentration. Polyurethane elastomers are high quality engineering materials combining high
elasticity with high hardness and low wear. It is very important to mention and understand, during
working with polyurethanes that we dealing with two types of materials : plastics and elastomers ,
which have the identical manufacturing process.
Elastomers are defined as materials that possessed high, reversible deformations. Crosslinking of
elastomers obtain these reversibility of extension. In polyurethane elastomers crosslinking could be

Benito Mussolini, AKA Il Dulce
Benito Mussolini, known as Il Duce, was the founder of the totalitarian form of government known as
Fascism. However that was not enough recognition; Mussolini wanted to demonstrate to the world
that he could be a successful ruler as well. Mussolini came to power and remained in power primarily
due to the actions of the Italian Blackshirts. As the Blackshirts maintained law and order, terrorized
political opponents, defended Italy, and marched on Rome, Mussolini successfully ruled as dictator.
Controlled and led by Mussolini, the Italian Blackshirts also known as the Squadre d Azione, were
made up of war veterans and young people led by ringleaders. The Blackshirt uniform consisted of a
green jacket and trouser with a black shirt and tie. The green colors were similar to that of the army
uniforms, but the black shirt and tie differentiated the Blackshirts from the other combat forces. The
Blackshirts were first created on March 23, 1919 and played a vital role in the rule of Mussolini.
Benito Mussolini s rise to power primarily relied on the Blackshirts march on Rome. On October 24,
1922, Mussolini hosted a Fascist convention in Naples as the reason for the March on Rome. There he
declared, Either the government will be given to us, or we will seize it by marching on Rome.
Mussolini s plan was to threaten to occupy the nation s capital of Rome with his forces, the
Blackshirts, and pressure King Victor Emmanuel III into inviting him into the government.

Analysis Of The Air Commerce Act Of 1926 (ACA)
From the first powered flight at Kitty Hawk, safety was one of the primary concerns of the public.
Within 11 years, aircraft as a form passenger travel was expanding rapidly. As a result, the skies
quickly became crowded and accidents were occurring both in the air and on the ground. Fearing that
air transit would not reach its full economic potential, the Air Commerce Act of 1926 (ACA) was
enacted (Dilger, 2003). The ACA established uniform safety rules for carriers, required pilot licensing,
and standardized routes. As a result, deaths from aircraft accidents reduced from one in every 1.4

Federal Aviation Administration in 1956.

The Characteristics Of A True Hero In Beowulf
Even though a hero is one who laughs in the presence of evil. One who is brave, confident, and always
is there for his people in there time of need. Beowulf, in my opinion, displayed a few of the
characteristics of a hero. True he was brave and adventurous, however, he was selfish because he did
all of his heroic events in order to show his greatness. For example, in the battle against Grendel, he
was willing to risk his life by fighting without weapons to show his might. A real hero would not
foolishly unarm himself only to prove his strength. Beowulf, however, did show great bravery and
good judgment during his battle against the dragon, even though it was there that he met his demise.
He rose to the challenge to protect his kingdom and did in fact, with a little help, do just that.Although
foolish, He never once feared for his life as was quick to take on any challenge. In conclusion, besides
his arrogance, Beowulf is a good example of a true hero. , Throughout Beowulf, Grendel is described
as mankind s enemy, and his attacks are driven by the jealousy that humans are able to enjoy life in the
light, and he is condemned to misery in the darkness. It s not just Grendel s ancestry that makes him
evil; Grendel s actions are evil as well. because I have wrested the hilt from the enemies hand,
avenged the evil done to the Danes; it is what was due. (1668 1670) The battle between good and evil
is a necessary part of Beowulf s life; it consists of fighting for

  • 2. This is Home This Is Home Jack, will you watch where you re driving? You almost hit the guardrail, Gwen said, holding tight to her seat. Jack put his foot on the brake and the car slowly drifted down to fifty miles per hour. He hadn t been focused on driving. His mind was set on the conference he had in New York in two days. It was a very important meeting and he had to be on the top of his game. Jack had worked as a stockbroker for the past eight years and was quite good at his job. In fact, he was the top account manager at the company he worked with. Because of this, he was always traveling, going to various business meetings, visiting various clients, and buying and selling stocks throughout the U.S. Gwen, his wife, frequently accompanied him on these trips. The two had recently gotten married, but had to postpone their honeymoon in Guam because Jack had to go to New York for a business meeting. Ever since they were engaged, Jack and Gwen were always traveling. Gwen knew it was to be expected, this was Jack s job after all, but she wished she could spend more time with her husband. Jack was frustrated by it as well, even more so than Gwen. He wanted dearly to spend every minute with her, but time was at the essence, and stocks didn t sell themselves. Gwen could see that Jack was flustered and couldn t help but worry what was upsetting him. Jack, Gwen said quietly. Tell me what s wrong, please? Jack slumped forward in his seat and gave a sigh. He put on his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Reasons Why Nazis Came to Power in 1933 Reasons Why Nazis Came to Power in 1933 There are several factors that enabled the Nazi party, with Hitler as its leader, was able to come to power in Germany in 1933. There are 5 main reasons involved history, economics, politics and the personality of Hitler. The main political events occurred in 1923 and 1933. The Treaty of Versailles was one of the most important causes that led to Hitler s rise in Germany. From the German point of view the treaty was incredibly harsh and devastating for Germany. The treaty contained five major points that would be Germany s demise. Germany was reduced severely as a military power. Due to this the country also had a huge problem in dealing with the large ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Saar Coalmines made a lot of money, and were very profitable to Germany. A big industry had been taken away from Germany. All three of these points, accepting the blame for the war, disarmament and the lost of the territory made the country feel weak. It was a total humiliation to the Germans and to the man in the army at that time, Hitler. All of Germany s overseas colonies were given to the victors as mandates, or territories held in trust until they were ready for independence. The other terms of the treaty was the war reparations that Germany was forced to pay. The sum of this was £6,6oo million. Germany felt this was far too much. The lost of Germany s territory e.g. the Saar coalfields and other territories made it harder for Germany to pay the reparations. It caused a tremendous economic problems in Germany. The German people were starving and living in poverty. This soon caused inflation that sprouted to hyperinflation and so the Economic depression of the 1920 ´s in Germany occurred. • 4. Controversy On Light Light being a particle or wave has provoked controversy amongst many scientists across the world. Back then some scientist argued that light was a particle and not a wave. Others, however, believed that light was a wave and thought it had no properties of a particle. Einstein decided to take matters into his own hands and find out what light was with the help of Max Planck. Light, to begin with, is electromagnetic radiation that is extremely wide or small but enough for it to be visible for us to see. There are various types of color with different wavelengths that affect us in different ways. For example, the light from the Sun warms up the Earth and keeps us from freezing to death. • 5. Characteristics Of Veristic Surrealism Surrealism As the world began healing from World War I, modern artists decided to listen to their subconscious minds. Surrealism was a new style of art that formed from Dadaism. The leader of surrealism, André Breton, believed that because surrealism required unique thoughts, it showed an active mind. Not only is surrealism found in art, it is also found in theater, literature, philosophy, and politics. The creation of surrealism is achieved by abstract or realistic images that may be bursting with voice or cold and impersonal. Bending the principles of design to give new feelings could create this feeling. After World War I, European artists explored their unconscious minds to create compositions that challenged common beliefs of artistic and emotional expression. Surrealism can be difficult to categorize due to the differences in styles and methods of creation. The two main surrealism techniques, automatism and veristic surrealism, are shown by various views of the conscious and unconscious. The focus of automatism is feelings. The emphasis of theses artists is less analytical. They think of their art as a way to connect the subconscious to the conscious. This usually results in a lack of form. Veristic surrealism is a way to link spiritual realities to the material world. They used objects as metaphors to show inner reality and to understand the real world. Dadaism was the style that later morphed into surrealism. It was a coping mechanism after World War I. The Dada ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He also strongly recommended that anyone who goes to get dental x rays done should use a lead thyroid shield. On the other hand, a thyroid cancer specialist, Dr. Leonard Wartofsky argues that with the new technology and scientific equipment we have these days, there is no reason to be concerned. The amount of radiation that is actually exposed is not enough to cause harmful damage to anyone. Also, the radiation that is actually exposed from dental x rays has decreased a huge amount for the past two decades. According to researchers in England, their conclusion to their studies was that further research needed to be conducted. They reported that several factors may possibly play an important role leading to the increased diagnoses of thyroid cancer (Nordqvist.) He talks sweetly to her and isn t short with her. Although he portrayed this tough guy with the kingdom, he was a teddy bear at heart hoping for love and affection. Henry didn t always want an everlasting love. Jane Seymour s (his third wife), life was hardly even shown. Statistics show that nearly two thirds of Americans will most likely cohabitate with a relationship partner before marriage (Gordon, 2012). Some researchers relate this to the rising divorce rate in America, coming in at nearly 50 percent of marriages, to cohabitation before marriage. This concept is called the cohabitation effect. A couple cohabitating before marriage is automatically associated with a higher risk for divorce. Although there have been studies denying these claims that cohabitating before marriage has a little effect on marriage stability, they have their exceptions. The secret image is encoded without the use of any cryptographic computations. In this paper we will discuss the basic model of visual cryptography and the extended model; using the k out of n scheme. Keywords: Visual Cryptography, Extended Visual Cryptography. 1. Introduction Secret sharing is a scheme that permits a secret message to be shared among a set P of n participants. The secret is shared in such a way that only qualified subsets of P can recover the secret, any nonqualified subset has no information on the secret. We take into consideration, the problem of encrypting pictures and printed texts such that it is perfectly secure without the hassle of using cryptographic computations. In 1979, Shamir [7] and Blakley [8] introduced the concept of a threshold scheme. A (k, n) threshold scheme is a method whereby n pieces of information of a secret key k, called shares are distributed among n participants so that the k cannot be re constructed from the knowledge of fewer than k shares. The line of best fit in Graph 1 suggests that there is an inverse relationship between temperature and reaction time. This indicates that as the temperature increases, the rate of reaction also increases. The results for the rate of reaction, as seen in Table 2, suggest that as the temperature increases, the rate of reaction increases at a progressively greater rate. When the temperature increases 21℃ from 4℃ to 25℃, the rate of reaction increases from 1.846 s 1 to 6.1100 s 1 while a similar increase in temperature from 25℃ to 65℃ has a much more significant difference in the rate of reaction: 47.85s 1 at 65℃. This supports the hypothesis, as the rate of reaction increases as the temperature increases. According to collision theory, increasing the temperature increases the kinetic energy of the particles in the solution. This allows both a net increase in the energy ... To many, this may be a weird place to choose, but to me it is a safe place to vent and think. You see, St. Mary is the resting place of my mother, Kimberly Bitsie. Those reasons, are why it is the most important place in my world. Cook County is not a place I have ever lived, but my family and I try to visit as often as we can. My Dad, little brother and I usually try visit once every two to three years, because we visit our grandparents while in Illinois. When we visit though, we always try to make time to visit the cemetery because we don t know the next we will be able to see her. It s about a thirty five minute drive from my grandparent s house, but it s worth the drive. We spend on average thirty to forty minutes at the cemetery. Before we go into the cemetery, we always stop by this one store near the cemetery, that sells flower and decorations, to buy a spinner to put on mom s grave. I was only four when my mom died of cancer, and I only have a few memories of her. So, being able to visit and try to connect is what makes it special to me. It is interesting to see Galileo s response in crediting reason for his achievement. It is here where the reader sees Galileo s thoughts and perceptions on life; that science and its achievements should not only be credited to the founder yet the society that encourages these findings; that the progress of human kind as a whole should be the objective of inventions. Using Galileo, Brecht continuously stresses these points throughout the play and is making it clear that he is against the notion of the discouragement of ideas, inventions, and thinking. While this can be true, examples of success stories lie in cities where tourism is already prevalent and lends themselves to larger cities far more than smaller ones . Similarly, projections are made under the assumption that all conference and event attendees will be visitors. Project revenue received from local hotels, restaurants, and stores is determined under this premise. This assumption is largely exaggerated, as studies have shown that the number of hotel rooms estimated to be used during a given year was one third of the initial projections. This is because locals make up a large portion of conference attendees . As a result, most spending is from local residents rather than visitors, completely negating the purpose of building a center to bring in external revenue. However that was not enough recognition; Mussolini wanted to demonstrate to the world that he could be a successful ruler as well. As the Blackshirts maintained law and order, terrorized political opponents, defended Italy, and marched on Rome, Mussolini successfully ruled as dictator. Controlled and led by Mussolini, the Italian Blackshirts also known as the Squadre d Azione, were made up of war veterans and young people led by ringleaders. The Blackshirt uniform consisted of a green jacket and trouser with a black shirt and tie. The green colors were similar to that of the army uniforms, but the black shirt and tie differentiated the Blackshirts from the other combat forces. True he was brave and adventurous, however, he was selfish because he did all of his heroic events in order to show his greatness. For example, in the battle against Grendel, he was willing to risk his life by fighting without weapons to show his might. A real hero would not foolishly unarm himself only to prove his strength. Beowulf, however, did show great bravery and good judgment during his battle against the dragon, even though it was there that he met his demise. He rose to the challenge to protect his kingdom and did in fact, with a little help, do just that.Although foolish, He never once feared for his life as was quick to take on any challenge.
