Personal Aspects Of Personal Strengths
Have you ever experienced something that changed your outlook on life? Personal strength is
realizing you are at low times, but finding the positives even when it seems like nothing will get
better. During times of weakness, I struggled with finding hope and strength within myself. Personal
strength defines us as individuals. Because I experienced the loss of a good friend, and the divorce of
my parents at a young age, I was able to find personal strength.
Through the support of my friends and family, I was able to find personal strength after the loss of a
dear friend. In October of 2016, all of my friends and loved ones received the horrible news that our
friend had been in a horrible car accident. On October 15th, 2016 our blue eyed, blonde and beautiful
friend had passed away at only sixteen years old. Through this horrific time, it became very hard for
me, my peers, and my family to find strength. When we heard the news, our hearts ached, our bodies
trembled and our minds shut down. I simply felt nothing, but pain and sadness. This hardship became
very hard to stay positive and keep hope for better things to come in the future. Finding strength soon
became easier because I was not alone. I was not the only one trying to cope with the loss. We all
supported each other through this hard time. The support from my friends and family, for we were all
struggling together made it easier to find personal strength.
Because I realized that I was not alone, I was able to find

satisfied, they were less likely to leave their profession for a different one. Without teachers there

Essay On Obesity Epidemic
More than one third or 78.6 million of U.S. adults are obese , according to the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention. Obesity does not only mean a bigger waist line, but also a greater chance at
developing life threating health problems. Preventable diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes
and certain types of cancer are increased in individuals who are considered obese (CDC). While
physical activity plays an important role in a healthy lifestyle, what one consumes is also a significant
factor. With obesity at staggering high rates, healthy food choices should be made more available and
affordable, while the price of unhealthy food and drinks should be increased to help bring a decline to
this ongoing epidemic.
To understand the full extent of the obesity epidemic, one must first understand what the term obese
indicates. A person whose BMI, or body mass index, ranges above 30 is considered obese. The healthy
BMI range for a normal person is between 19 and 24 (CDC). When an individual consumes more
energy, or calories, than they use, the excess calories are stored in the body as fat and thus causes
weight gain. Over time, without both reduction of calorie intake and increased activity , a larger
amount of fat is stored and as a result obesity occurs (Diet and ... Show more content on

Patients are becoming armed with devices that can empower, monitor, track and even measure their
disease progression creating interventions when necessary to optimize the health and response time to
disease. New devices and tools technology into a smartphone for example, have the potential to
become an extension of a patient s health care provider and already change the way in which patients
interact with the medical system. These various devices can allow public health officials to better
monitor and screen for diseases in large populations and ultimately help improve preventive strategies
and access to care for millions of Americans. This is all a critical part of improving outcomes for
patients going forward.
As pharmacists we are aware that the management of COPD is multi pronged approach. Treatment
focuses on monitoring changes and relieving symptoms, improving function/exercise tolerance and
ongoing vigilance. There exists however, variables needed to assess and monitor the disease, reduce
risk factors, such as smoking and air pollution, stabilize care to prevent disease progression and
manage exacerbations and comorbid conditions. This could not be accomplished without the infusion
of the healthcare technologies. (17).
Asthma is one of the most prevalent non communicable chronic respiratory conditions occurring
throughout the lifespan.

Relationship Between Gilgamesh And Achilles
Gilgamesh and Achilles, heroes in the ancient world, were great fighters. The goal for both was to
achieve an immortal name for themselves, even if it meant dying. Yet, when they went into major
battles accompanied by their best friends, their friendship had an impact on their behavior which
resulted in deadly consequences. In the Epic of Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh and his best friend Enkidu go
up against and kill the terrifying monster Humbaba. Afterwards, Gilgamesh s unintelligent actions
lead to more strife in which he insults the goddess Ishtar and as a result she punishes Enkidu. As a
punishment, Enkidu dies of sickness and Gilgamesh s life changes. His life changes in a way were he

Iditarod Pros And Cons
Wshhhhh., the wind roars on the snowy Alaskan tundra. The Iditarod tends to spark some controversy
over many things, one being the dogs. The sled dogs, generally Alaskan Huskies or Malamutes, are
trained from birth for the the annual Iditarod race. The Iditarod, an approximately one thousand and
fifty mile race, starts in Anchorage, Alaska, where mushers compete to get to Nome, Alaska with their
16 sled dogs. In this article we ll go over the pros and cons of sled dog racing and my opinion on the
topic. The Iditarod is long, and can sometimes even be dangerous and cause injuries for the sled dogs.
However, that s not to say that they re not strong, as, sled dogs endurance often allows them to press
on, says Cristen Conger, in spite of minor injuries. she continued (Conger, 1). Besides that, it seems
that the dogs enjoy it, as sled dogs have their love of running (Arnold, 1) and will run for miles on
their own (Conger, 1). The sled dogs are bred for the harsh environment and can even survive in
negative temperatures, which are very common along the Alaskan trail. Although there are quite a few
pros, let s look at the other side of the argument, the cons. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Write An Essay On Emotional Abuse
Emotional Abuse The effects of emotional abuse are often silent. The wounds of verbal and
physiological abuse leave scars. Most times the effects are overlooked, misread, or treated as weak.
Just because emotional abuse is less visible than physical abuse does not change the long lasting
impact it has on a person. There are six well known types of emotional abuse; rejecting, ignoring,
terrorizing, isolating, corrupting, and exploiting. Other types of abuse are usually easy to identify
because of the marks of physical violence, however signs of emotional abuse can be hard to define. In
some cases, the effects of emotional abuse are so subtle that an emotionally abused teen may not show
any outward signs of the abuse occurring. Because of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Function Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) studies are showing that the same areas in the brain are
triggered when we experience rejection as when we have physical pain. Recent studies have come to
the hypothesis that rejection mimics physical pain. In fact our brains respond so similarly to physical
and mental pain that Tylenol has been shown to reduce the emotional pain rejection creates. The
second form of abuse is ignoring. We ve all heard of the silent treatment. It s a form of psychological
punishment or manipulation. At some point in our life we have either used the silent treatment or
experienced it. Whether we were aware of it or not it does qualify as a form of mental abuse. The
silent treatment is a mind game for some. It can easily tear down a person s self esteem and sense of
self worth. In serious cases it increases ones stress levels leading to the feelings of misplacement,
abandonment, and may feel like they have no control. The third form of abuse is terrorizing.
Terrorizing does a lot of damage to a child or teen s sense of safety. Many times terrorizing can affect
the way a child or youth will develop their mentality. It can also affect the health of a person. They
may have a difficult time fighting diseases or a common

The Lord Of The Covenant Essay
Our greatest example for covenant keeping is the Lord himself: For your Maker is your husband the
Lord Almighty is his name...The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed
in spirit a wife who married young, only to be rejected, says your God. For a brief moment I
abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. (Isaiah 54:5 6 New International
Version 1984)
Through the prophet, Isaiah, the Lord conveys to Israel the perseverance of the covenant between
Israel and himself, despite Israel s violation of the covenant. The Lord promises restoration to himself
through his compassion because of his love for Israel. Israel was painted as an adulteress in Hosea,
Jeremiah, Ezekiel and many other scriptures due to her pursuit of other gods, yet, like Hosea and his
prostitute bride, the Lord welcomes her back countless times because of his own faithfulness to the
covenant (Patterson, 2008). The Lord has shown since ancient times his desire for the covenant bond
of marriage to reflect his own relationship with his people. Now he shows this marriage covenant
through Christ and the New Covenant. The people of God are broadened to include Gentiles through
the Lord s covenant with Abraham (Galatians 3:6 9) and are all pledged in relationship with God
through the blood covenant of Christ s sacrifice. When the covenant is entered, nothing can sever it,
including our own actions (Romans 8:38 39). On this foundation, the Lord establishes the

odds, a small, but very determined Texan garrison force fended off an equally determined Mexican
Army ordered to capture it. I ll discuss the events and political climate leading up to the siege, key

John Stuart Mill s Work
John Stuart Mill s work provides a valuable insight to the issue of medicine that harm people in the
classical utilitarian. Many people consider that prescription for medical marijuana as a moral sin or
something that should be given to help the patients to improve his/her bad condition. As a majority of
people and federal consider prescription for medical marijuana is immoral and it is restricted in many
states including Texas. In the section on liberty, John Stuart Mill introduces the harm principle. Mill
believes that The only legitimate ground for social coercion is to prevent someone from doing harm to
others . (John Stuart Mill handout, Principle 1). It means that everyone should have their own
individual liberty to think as they satisfy unless their actions or decisions may not cause harm to
others. I am cancer patients, in first stage. Doctor can cure my disease; doctor gave prescription for

Human Drug For Treating Bacterial Infections
β lactam antibiotics have continued to be the most popular drug for treating bacterial infections since
its discovery in 1928 by Fleming and its introduction as an antibacterial agent in the early 1950.1
Most commonly used β lactam drugs today stems from the original discovery and development of
natural products from microorganisms like penicillin, cephalosporin and other β lactam based
antibiotics (Figure 1). 1,2 However, soon after its commercialization and widespread usage, β
lactamase secreting penicillin resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus were isolated.3 The
introduction of methicillin (a β lactamase insensitive semi synthetic penicillin), to curb the resistance
problem resulted in the evolution of another resistant strain known as methicillin resistant
Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).4 Figure 1: Some β lactam antibiotics
Resistance to β lactams is easy for bacteria as all β lactams shared the same mode of action, which is
the inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis by forming stable covalent adducts with the active site
serine residues of penicillin binding proteins (PBPs). The PBPS are often divided into two partitions;
the high molecular weight PBPs (HMW PBPs) and the low molecular weight PBPs (LMW PBPs). The
HMW PBPs are further divided in two classes, A and B, while the LMW PBPs are divided in four
subclasses based on their tertiary structures. Figure 2 shows the reactions between natural substrates, β

Examples Of Conflict In Remember The Titans
An important conflict in the 2000 film, Remember the Titans directed by Boaz Yakin, is the dispute
between football captains Gerry Bertier and Julius Campbell. The conflict is caused by a prejudice
towards each other s race as Gerry is raised in a white, racist family while Julius is black and a victim
of prejudice within the community.Because of this they are both repulsed at the thought of having to
share a room with one another. This conflict is important because despite the discord Gerry and Julius
experience throughout the film, they become best friends and work together to win the state
championship. Their resulting friendship displays what can happen as a result of overcoming
generational racism. At first, Gerry is disgusted at the thought of having to play in an integrated team
saying, I don t want to play with any of these black animals . At the training camp, Gerry and Julius
are forced to share rooms. In scene 6 we see a low shot of a racist poster Julius is hanging on his wall.

Essay On Biographies Of Hegemony And The Naked Citadel
In both essays Biographies of Hegemony by Karen Ho and The Naked Citadel by Susan Faludi, there
are two higher institutions, which would be Wall Street and the Citadel. Both of their goals is to
remold an individual to fit their criteria. Each individual has a certain identity and presents themselves
in a specific way. People are known to change due to influences in their everyday lives, which
eventually changes their identities into someone completely different. In these two essays, it becomes
evident that because of the pressures put upon people by these hierarchies, people unconsciously
change and are shaped into new individuals while hiding their true identities. Any person can be
completely stripped of their old identities by falling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Naked Citadel, the boy s identity is essentially being performed. They are distinguished as
superior non feminine men, while behind the scenes they are typically performing feminine acts.
Violently harassing the young knobs, showering together, and making their beds together was where
they could show their true selves. Faludi mentions how the result is ruthless intimacy, in which
physical abuse stands in for physical affection, and every display of affection must be counterbalanced
by a display of sadism (Faludi, 100). The boys become so infatuated with showing their feminine side
that when they snap back to reality they realize it is a sign of weakness and use anger to feel relief.
The Cadets act like they are on a stage playing a role in a play much like the Treehouse where men
dress up as Drag Queens. Both identities are being performed, which means while playing a role you
are still truly yourself. This is also seen in Biographies of Hegemony, while Princeton and Harvard
students are getting recruited, they put on this elite, smart act of attraction to be a part of this high
institution of Wall Street. It is claimed that the most distinguishing features of investment banking are
their smartness and exclusivity (Ho, 166). This shows how by putting themselves in a different

Media Tourism Of Sherlock Holmes Museum

Before the creation of the Sherlock Holmes Museum, fans of the detective could only enjoy the fan
culture of Sherlock Holmes by reading the stories and watching filmed dramatisations. The Sherlock
Holmes Museum offers fans the opportunity to have a liminal experience with the fictional story. This
is an example of media culture turning into media industry and the museum is doing very well. It is
currently one of the most popular tourist destinations in London (Urry, J ,2000).
The Sherlock Holmes Museum was built for the purpose of making money. At the beginning, the
founder of the museum had a plan to develop the tourist industry. As a result, everything in this
museum has been designed to match tourists preferences. I can provide a personal example. I visited
the museum myself and read the letters that the museum has received from Sherlock Holmes fans. The

Even though we only lived in Philadelphia a short while, this is the house where I have the most
memories. I remember living right across from the school, the red door, and most importantly the
people who lived there and around us. One of my favorite things about living here was that my family
was only about a 15 minute drive away. I loved being around them and I even ran away to one of their
houses once. Now, I miss out on birthday parties, reunions, and just regular old Sunday dinners after
church. When I am with them today, I soak up every last second before I leave because I never know
when I ll be back. The best thing about living in this house was not the distance to my family, nor was
it about the school being right across the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We even called her Neighbor Della. The days in the summer when my brother and
I were bored, we would head straight over to Della s to play a game, talk with her, pretty much
anything you can think of. Jake and I would race over to her house which was like a 30 second trip but
whoever got there first, got the first cookie and yes, I always lost. We would walk up the stone steps
and inside the creaky door which was always unlocked and open because she feared no one. She used
to tell us that her late husband Marion would keep a shotgun next to door hidden in a cubby in the
wall. However, she never approved of this. He had died before we were born but she talked about him
like he was always in the next room. I think she talked about him so much that she forgot he passed on
because she would call to him sometimes while we were there and then shake her head, remembering
he was gone. Her house always had a familiar peach smell. Most likely because she had two peach
trees on either side of her house. Sometimes Jake and I would go out with a bucket and pick the good
peaches for her while she watched from the window. Once inside, we would head straight for the
kitchen table which was right past the entryway. The table always had a clean white linen table cloth
on it with a plate of strawberry wafer cookies sitting right on top. There would be two cups of cold
milk waiting on the table as well as one tall glass of ice water for her.

Essay On Dichloropropene
Dichloropropene Use on California s Strawberry Fields
California is rich in history. The Golden State was a destination for gold seekers and is still the
launching pad for many entrepreneurs. Californians have a special culture for innovation. It is no
wonder that Californians are dreamers, go getters adventurous people. The first gold rushers must
have been incredibly ambitious, albeit loco, to cross the entire stretch of North America via covered
wagon.
It is this spirit of innovation, endless work, and demand for nonstop business that has driven
strawberry farmers to depend on the organochlorine that is dichloropropene. An organochlorine is
manufactured from chlorinated hydrocarbons, or simply put, its three essential ingredients are
chlorine, carbon and hydrogen (Friis, 2016). While the use of dichloropropene has undoubtedly
boosted growth of fields and bank accounts, it is known to do exponential harm. This is called
bioaccumulation (Friis, 2016). Another example of this is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The follow up commentary on the statement in the report is not forgiving, but further explains that
when tested on animals, cancer was sure. The results of the test confirm that application to skin will
result in cancer, and that swallowing and inhalation is highly poisonous (EPA, 1986). Further studies
done with animals proved that exposure to dichloropropene led to cancers affecting all organs of
urinary, digestive and respiratory systems (EPA, 1986). Some people might discount the findings of
these studies on animals because humans and animals might metabolize chemicals differently.
However, the adverse effects on the animals are so severe that it cannot be denied that the pesticide is
poisonous. The EPA reported in 1986 that workers (those who would apply the pesticide in the fields)
may be exposed to dichloropropene in the range of 0.15 to 23.99 mg/year (EPA,

Choral Music Concert In UNC Wilmington s Recital Hall
On October 16th I attended the choral music concert in UNC Wilmington s recital hall. The
performance consisted of a concert choir and a chamber choir with Joe Hickman as the conductor. The
concert, which was entirely performed by students, had a number of instruments, like the viola,
trumpet, and timpani, playing during the concert choir. I had been to very few choral music concerts in
the past, so this experience expanded of my understanding of music in a new and exciting way.
Throughout the concert, five pieces were performed by two different choirs. The first three being a
small group without interments and the second a large group accompanied by a small chamber

Homer s Connotations On Lilies Of The Field
On the very first page of Lilies of the Field, Homer s mother describes him as 2/3 amiable and 1/3
plain devil. After those first few pages, Homer grew gradually and dramatically in the way that he
interacted with others. It is noticeable in how he thinks of his work with the nuns. At first, he simply
wanted to do them a favor, but it soon changed to wanting to escape, and then finally accepting and
enjoying his experience. Even though Homer is Baptist, I saw his spiritual being grow as quickly as
the chapel did. During the last week of summer, I began my annotations on Lilies of the Field. I have a
habit of procrastinating until the day before the project is due, thus causing stress and a feeling of just

To be honest, I don t think I have made a substantial influence to anyone yet; I only thing I notice is
my friends picking up and saying small phrases I say. I always love it when I do hear them say
something I say, though. As I was writing my annotations, I was also watching The Hobbit for the first
time. I didn t notice a relationship between Lilies of the Field and The Hobbit, until I began writing
this essay. The nuns changed Homer the same way that the ring transformed Smeagol, just in opposite
ways. While Homer switched into a kind, more faithful person, Smeagol turned into a miserly goblin.
I noticed that not all influence is good, and I must sieve out negative and selfish influences to become
a better follower of God. Pursuing God s word will bring a transformation to you and the people
around you, and straying from it will bring about sorrow; this is evident in Homer s story, and
everyone s story. I feel that I can relate to Lilies of the Field, even though I treated it like work. It
offers much to think about and a message of trust in those you love, along with following God s path.
I recommend Lilies of the Field to

The cactus moths as an adult are very dull with their brownish gray color. You can only tell the
difference between this moth and many others that look like it by microscopic examination of the male
genitalia. Its native species only differ from it having a more plumose antenna. The mature larva are
red or orange with dark spots. The adult females lay eggs stacked on each other which resembles a
cactus spine. The larvae feed by burrowing into a pad which can kill their host plant. They have three
flights in the southeastern United States which is in late March to May, July to August, and late
September to mid November. They have one host and that is the pricklypear cacti. They are native to
Argentina but now found in southeastern United States. They do need some management because they
need to be prevented from spreading further. Mating occurs before sunrise and mates are found by
scents. When the female lays her eggs it forms a stick that contains thirty to fifty eggs. They hatch
after about twenty five days and they eat the cactus pad. After about two moths in the host cactus they
exit the cactus and form cocoons. They become a pupa under the debris on the ground. Once they

Essay On Things They Carried
In the list of all the things the soldiers carried, what item was most surprising? Which item did you
find most evocative of the war? Foot powder was most surprising to me. This also shows us how
much these soldiers had to travel in the war. In what sense does Jimmy love Martha? Why does he
construct this elaborate, mostly fictional, relationship with her: What does this reveal about his
character? The sense Jimmy loves Martha is that she gives him perseverance. Martha is the thing that
makes Jimmy get through the war, she s like Jimmy s rock she gives him the motivation to be with

paragraph 11 O Brien talks about unweighed fear . What does he mean by that? How does that further
the theme of the text? Unweighted fear includes all of the bad memories that were made during the
war as well as the good memories of the war. This furthers the theme because we are introduced to
physical burden but as the story progress, we slowly see mental burden are being introduced. what

rhetorical questions further describe how no one wanted to go down the tunnel. Furthermore,
rhetorical question creates a sense of paranoia because the tunnel wasn t as bad as they anticipated.

Cat Breeds And The Sphynx
Think of strange and unusual cat breeds and the Sphynx is bound to come to mind even if you don t
know the breed s name! The Sphynx is often referred to as the hairless cat. Remember Mr.
Bigglesworth, Dr. Evil s cat in the Austin Powers movies? The Sphynx is not a truly hairless cat,
although it appears to be. The Sphynx s skin is often covered by a very soft peach fuzz. These cats
also are known for their wedge shaped heads and curious natures. Their skin is warm and soft to the
touch, feeling like a very fine leather. The Sphynx may or may not have whiskers. Because they do not
have coats to keep them warm, Sphynx cats tend to be very affectionate, often snuggling up to other
animals and people. If you get one of these cats, prepare to make room under the covers at night, as it
will probably want to curl up next to you. Its lack of a coat means no shedding and no need for
brushing. However, the Sphynx still requires plenty of loving care and maintenance. Body oils tend to
accumulate on their skin, while other cats absorb them in their coats. This means that the Sphynx
requires regular bathing. These cats also should have limited exposure to sunlight, as they can develop
a sunburn similar to that of a human. They also should not be exposed to cold temperatures because of
their lack of a coat for protection. In short, the Sphynx is not an outdoor cat. A common fallacy about
the Sphynx is that is hypoallergenic because of its lack of a coat. It is important to

Active Voice
Voice:
In simple words, Voice (in other words (but rarely said) is also called, diathesis) is a term that
describes the relation between an action (verb) taken by the subject, the subject (the one who performs
the action) and the object (the thing being acted upon).
Active Voice:
Active voice is most commonly used verb. Active voice is where; the subject is the one who performs
an action (verb), while object is the thing being acted upon.
When the subject performs an action, the verb is in Active voice.
For example:
The mouse ate the cheese.
Here, the mouse is the subject, ate is the action (verb) and cheese is the object. Since the subject is
doing an action, we say that the verb is in active voice.

Here, Sarah is the subject, written is the active verb and book is the object.
Uses of the Active Voice:
Active sentences are more direct (This proves that the subject admits that he was the one who did the
act) and engaging for the reader. The sentences are shorter and allow you to express an authoritative
tone. And they are also often less confusing and ambiguous.
Passive Voice:
Passive voice is where; the object is suspected to have done an action (verb) and the subject is the
thing being performed on.
When the subject is the target for an action, then the verb is in Passive voice.
For example:
The cheese was eaten by the mouse.
Here, the cheese is the subject, eaten is the passive verb and mouse is the object. Since the subject is
the one being suspected for the action, we say that the verb is in the passive voice.

Qualities Of An Outstanding Educator
Just because someone is a great nurse, does not mean they are a great nursing educator. I believe the
greatest qualities of an outstanding educator are passion, patience, flexibility, and the willingness for
personal and professional growth.
The passion that one has or do not have for what they are teaching shows thru and directly impacts the
effectiveness of their teaching. Maintaining a continued passion for the nursing profession inspires
students. Patience, so often is what makes or breaks an educator. Consequently, I have seen many
great nurses that just did not have the required patience to guide new nurses or students. This may be

Why Sols Should Be Banned
Sols should be banned because they cause lots of stress during them and preparing for them. Another
reason why SOLs are bad is because they give only a small amount of time to study everything you
have learned all year. One other reason is you have to take a bunch of test before the SOL to see how
you might do on the test. These reasons are why I am going to convince you that SOLs should be
banned. For starters, let s face it SOLs cause so much stress on the teachers and the students. There is
a lot of stress and anxiety during the entire school year to make sure students are even ready to take
these tests. The stress these cause can really make a student feel like they are not smart and not fitting
in. This is because students have to answer trick questions that are different than the kind they have to
answer is class. Also, because the SOLs are long and boring which causes more anxiety because you
see other students worry about it too. You also get stressed when some people are already finished
before you. Next I am going to talk about another reason why SOLs should be banned. You first start
getting all these review packets only a few weeks before the tests but you get them for a bunch of
classes at once. The problem is most people can not remember most of it. Especially when people

Principles of Inventory Management

The purpose for this paper is to identify two principles of inventory management. An explanation on
how inventory management affects a businesses cash conversion cycle and cost of goods will be

Lastly, an explanation of the bottleneck theory will be given along with two solutions on how to
resolve the bottleneck issue.

The Bottleneck Theory
A simple definition of bottleneck could be an activity for which the work equals or exceeds the
capacity of the activity. For example, when company (a) places an order for raw materials from
company (b) who has a shortage on resources. And then companies (c, d, and f) order the same
material from company (b). There is what is called a bottleneck. This means that company (b) does
not have the resources to provide all companies with their orders. This is a problem for all parties the
supplier could potentially lose these customers as well as this profit. The buyers could lose their
customers and could effect the company s future business relations. Two solutions to prevent this
problem in the future could be an increase in resource shipping for example, doubling the norm of
shipping. Also, utilizing new options for shipping such as new ship

138. His studies extensively used both mice and dogs as animal models. Other important models used
in BMT research are rats, cats, pigs and non human primates. The mouse is an excellent animal model
because of the similarities in physiological and pathological traits that they share with other animals
and humans. The field of BMT research has taken full advantage of these qualities, and mice have
become one of the most commonly used BMT animal models. Transplantation (organ and
hematopoietic) began in the early 20th century1. Several studies published between 1949 1953 139
141 documented that organs removed and immediately transplanted back into the same individual
(autotransplants) were not rejected. However, organs from genetically different animals but from the
same species (allografts) would eventually fail several days after transplantation. After the
identification of the antigens that comprise the major histocompatibility complexes (MHC) in the
1960 s, transplantation between genetically different individuals became feasible 1. In the veterinary

  • 2. Personal Aspects Of Personal Strengths Have you ever experienced something that changed your outlook on life? Personal strength is realizing you are at low times, but finding the positives even when it seems like nothing will get better. During times of weakness, I struggled with finding hope and strength within myself. Personal strength defines us as individuals. Because I experienced the loss of a good friend, and the divorce of my parents at a young age, I was able to find personal strength. Through the support of my friends and family, I was able to find personal strength after the loss of a dear friend. In October of 2016, all of my friends and loved ones received the horrible news that our friend had been in a horrible car accident. On October 15th, 2016 our blue eyed, blonde and beautiful friend had passed away at only sixteen years old. Through this horrific time, it became very hard for me, my peers, and my family to find strength. When we heard the news, our hearts ached, our bodies trembled and our minds shut down. I simply felt nothing, but pain and sadness. This hardship became very hard to stay positive and keep hope for better things to come in the future. Finding strength soon became easier because I was not alone. I was not the only one trying to cope with the loss. We all supported each other through this hard time. The support from my friends and family, for we were all struggling together made it easier to find personal strength. Because I realized that I was not alone, I was able to find ... • 5. Essay On Obesity Epidemic More than one third or 78.6 million of U.S. adults are obese , according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Obesity does not only mean a bigger waist line, but also a greater chance at developing life threating health problems. Preventable diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer are increased in individuals who are considered obese (CDC). While physical activity plays an important role in a healthy lifestyle, what one consumes is also a significant factor. With obesity at staggering high rates, healthy food choices should be made more available and affordable, while the price of unhealthy food and drinks should be increased to help bring a decline to this ongoing epidemic. To understand the full extent of the obesity epidemic, one must first understand what the term obese indicates. A person whose BMI, or body mass index, ranges above 30 is considered obese. The healthy BMI range for a normal person is between 19 and 24 (CDC). When an individual consumes more energy, or calories, than they use, the excess calories are stored in the body as fat and thus causes weight gain. The sled dogs, generally Alaskan Huskies or Malamutes, are trained from birth for the the annual Iditarod race. The Iditarod, an approximately one thousand and fifty mile race, starts in Anchorage, Alaska, where mushers compete to get to Nome, Alaska with their 16 sled dogs. In this article we ll go over the pros and cons of sled dog racing and my opinion on the topic. The Iditarod is long, and can sometimes even be dangerous and cause injuries for the sled dogs. However, that s not to say that they re not strong, as, sled dogs endurance often allows them to press on, says Cristen Conger, in spite of minor injuries. she continued (Conger, 1). Besides that, it seems that the dogs enjoy it, as sled dogs have their love of running (Arnold, 1) and will run for miles on their own (Conger, 1). • 9. Write An Essay On Emotional Abuse Emotional Abuse The effects of emotional abuse are often silent. The wounds of verbal and physiological abuse leave scars. Most times the effects are overlooked, misread, or treated as weak. Just because emotional abuse is less visible than physical abuse does not change the long lasting impact it has on a person. There are six well known types of emotional abuse; rejecting, ignoring, terrorizing, isolating, corrupting, and exploiting. Other types of abuse are usually easy to identify because of the marks of physical violence, however signs of emotional abuse can be hard to define. We ve all heard of the silent treatment. It s a form of psychological punishment or manipulation. At some point in our life we have either used the silent treatment or experienced it. Whether we were aware of it or not it does qualify as a form of mental abuse. The silent treatment is a mind game for some. It can easily tear down a person s self esteem and sense of self worth. In serious cases it increases ones stress levels leading to the feelings of misplacement, abandonment, and may feel like they have no control. The third form of abuse is terrorizing. • 10. The Lord Of The Covenant Essay Our greatest example for covenant keeping is the Lord himself: For your Maker is your husband the Lord Almighty is his name...The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit a wife who married young, only to be rejected, says your God. For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. (Isaiah 54:5 6 New International Version 1984) Through the prophet, Isaiah, the Lord conveys to Israel the perseverance of the covenant between Israel and himself, despite Israel s violation of the covenant. The Lord promises restoration to himself through his compassion because of his love for Israel. Israel was painted as an adulteress in Hosea, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and many other scriptures due to her pursuit of other gods, yet, like Hosea and his prostitute bride, the Lord welcomes her back countless times because of his own faithfulness to the covenant (Patterson, 2008). The Lord has shown since ancient times his desire for the covenant bond of marriage to reflect his own relationship with his people. Now he shows this marriage covenant through Christ and the New Covenant. The people of God are broadened to include Gentiles through the Lord s covenant with Abraham (Galatians 3:6 9) and are all pledged in relationship with God through the blood covenant of Christ s sacrifice. When the covenant is entered, nothing can sever it, including our own actions (Romans 8:38 39). On this foundation, the Lord establishes the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For 13 days against insurmountable odds, a small, but very determined Texan garrison force fended off an equally determined Mexican Army ordered to capture it. I ll discuss the events and political climate leading up to the siege, key historic figures involved on both sides, the siege itself, along with events immediately following the battle. The iconic phrase, Remember the Alamo! would later go on to become a rallying cry at the Battle of San Jacinto. On that fateful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Moses Austin would not live to see it come to fruition as he was attacked my highway men and died shortly thereafter. That would fall on his son, Stephen F. Austin and the other settlers were drawn to the territory by grants and deferred taxation provided by the Spanish government; however, in 1821 Mexico declared independence from Spain. Austin was concerned that the new independent Mexican government would not recognize the previous arrangements made with his father. He would have to travel all the way to Mexico City to make his case, and in 1823 the Mexican Congress confirmed Austin s grant. In 1824 the Mexican government ratified the country s first Constitution, but in doing so split the country into two diametrically opposed political ideologies. On one side you had the centralists, who favored the central government possessing much of the authority. The other was the federalists, who were in favor of states rights. In 1834, Santa Anna emerged as a military dictator and overturned the Constitution of 1824. In October 1835 the centralist congress dissolved the state legislatures and transformed the former states into military departments. These expenses are required to immediately recognize in the period incurred since the expenses are not for assets that can be capitalized and depreciated over their useful life in accordance with GAAP. Human Drug For Treating Bacterial Infections β lactam antibiotics have continued to be the most popular drug for treating bacterial infections since its discovery in 1928 by Fleming and its introduction as an antibacterial agent in the early 1950.1 Most commonly used β lactam drugs today stems from the original discovery and development of natural products from microorganisms like penicillin, cephalosporin and other β lactam based antibiotics (Figure 1). 1,2 However, soon after its commercialization and widespread usage, β lactamase secreting penicillin resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus were isolated.3 The introduction of methicillin (a β lactamase insensitive semi synthetic penicillin), to curb the resistance problem resulted in the evolution of another resistant strain known as methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).4 Figure 1: Some β lactam antibiotics Resistance to β lactams is easy for bacteria as all β lactams shared the same mode of action, which is the inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis by forming stable covalent adducts with the active site serine residues of penicillin binding proteins (PBPs). Examples Of Conflict In Remember The Titans An important conflict in the 2000 film, Remember the Titans directed by Boaz Yakin, is the dispute between football captains Gerry Bertier and Julius Campbell. The conflict is caused by a prejudice towards each other s race as Gerry is raised in a white, racist family while Julius is black and a victim of prejudice within the community.Because of this they are both repulsed at the thought of having to share a room with one another. This conflict is important because despite the discord Gerry and Julius experience throughout the film, they become best friends and work together to win the state championship. Their resulting friendship displays what can happen as a result of overcoming generational racism. At first, Gerry is disgusted at the thought of having to play in an integrated team saying, I don t want to play with any of these black animals . At the training camp, Gerry and Julius are forced to share rooms. In scene 6 we see a low shot of a racist poster Julius is hanging on his wall. This agitates Gerry. Both of their goals is to remold an individual to fit their criteria. Each individual has a certain identity and presents themselves in a specific way. People are known to change due to influences in their everyday lives, which eventually changes their identities into someone completely different. They are distinguished as superior non feminine men, while behind the scenes they are typically performing feminine acts. Violently harassing the young knobs, showering together, and making their beds together was where they could show their true selves. Faludi mentions how the result is ruthless intimacy, in which physical abuse stands in for physical affection, and every display of affection must be counterbalanced by a display of sadism (Faludi, 100). The boys become so infatuated with showing their feminine side that when they snap back to reality they realize it is a sign of weakness and use anger to feel relief. The Cadets act like they are on a stage playing a role in a play much like the Treehouse where men dress up as Drag Queens. Both identities are being performed, which means while playing a role you are still truly yourself. This is also seen in Biographies of Hegemony, while Princeton and Harvard students are getting recruited, they put on this elite, smart act of attraction to be a part of this high institution of Wall Street.
