Stop Hunting Endangered Animals 51,147 is the shocking number of animals considered endangered
throughout the world (www.statisticbrain.com). The Endangered Species Act of 1974 classified
endangerment as an instance when animals [are] in danger of becoming extinct (fws.gov). This act
protects the animal s habitat, prevents the hunting of some species, and attempts to create plans to
restore habitats if they are destroyed. This act protects over 1400 species in the United States
(www.endangered.org). The Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species, which aids in
protection of the animals on the international trade market, has been signed by 181 countries. This act

For example, on a Texas ranch where they raise Oryx, an endangered type of antelope, a hunter named
Paul says he hunts them because The money that I spend to hunt these animals keeps these animals
alive on these ranches. (60 minutes 1) In reality, how can hunting really save a species? Trophy
hunters ...kill thousands of exotic wild animals, representing hundreds of different species, in foreign
countries, primarily in Africa. They prefer to kill the most beautiful, the biggest and the rarest.
(www.idausa.org) Hunting is ruining conservation of endangered animals because it can hurt the
overall population of a species. For example, once ... an adult male lion is killed, the destabilization of
that lion s pride can lead to more lion deaths... [and] once a new male is in the dominant position, he
will often kill the cubs...resulting in the loss of an entire lion generation within the pride. (Flocken 1).
Each year tens of thousands of wild animals, representing hundreds of different species, are killed by
American trophy hunters in foreign countries, ( http://ocpausa.org 1) and if that doesn t stop soon,
some endangered species will become extinct, even if the conservationists do their best to protect the

What Is Herbal Medicine
What is herbal medicine? Herbal medicine also called botanical medicine or phytomedicine refers to
using a plant s seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark, or flowers for medicinal purposes. Herbalism has a
long tradition of use outside of conventional medicine. It is becoming more mainstream as
improvements in analysis and quality control along with advances in clinical research show the value
of herbal medicine in the treating and preventing disease. What is the history of herbal medicine?
Plants had been used for medicinal purposes long before recorded history. Ancient Chinese and
Egyptian papyrus writings describe medicinal uses for plants as early as 3,000 BC. Indigenous

Some common herbs and their uses are discussed below. Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) has been used in
traditional medicine to treat circulatory disorders and enhance memory. Although not all studies agree,
ginkgo may be especially effective in treating dementia (including Alzheimer s disease) and
intermittent claudication (poor circulation in the legs). It also shows promise for enhancing memory in
older adults. Laboratory studies have shown that ginkgo improves blood circulation by dilating blood
vessels and reducing the stickiness of blood platelets. By the same token, this means ginkgo may also
increase the effect of some blood thinning medications, including aspirin. People taking blood
thinning medications should ask their doctor before using ginkgo. Caution should also be taken with
people with a history of seizures and people with fertility issues; speak with your physician. Kava
kava (Piper methysticum) is said to elevate mood, enhance well being and contentment, and produce a
feeling of relaxation. Several studies have found that kava may be useful in the treatment of anxiety,
insomnia, and related nervous disorders. However, there is serious concern that kava may cause liver
damage. It s not clear whether the kava itself caused liver damage in a few people, or whether it was
taking kava in combination with other

The Effect Of Obedience During The Holocaust
The Effects of Obedience Often, researchers wonder why obedience has such a strong effect. Some
researchers say that obedience is a conscious thing; however, some researchers also say that obedience
comes from the fear of authority figures. What exactly does obedience and authority mean? Obedience
is compliance with that which is required by authority; subjection to rightful restraint or control.
(Obedience, 2003) Authority is a legal or rightful power; a right to command or to act; power
exercised buy a person in virtue of his office or trust; dominion; jurisdiction; authorization. (Authority,
2003)
Stanley Milgram, a psychologist at Yale University, and other members of the community also
questioned the nature of obedience. Milgram reflected back to the 1933 events of the Holocaust.
Milgram began to question the intentions of the soldiers serving under Eichmann. Why would all
those German soldiers go along with kill millions of innocent Jews, slaves, homosexuals, children,
and gypsies? Were the soldiers just following the orders of Adolf Eichmann, leader of the German
Army? Milgram was interested in doing the obedience to authority figures study because he
questioned if Adolf s men were just following his orders, and this lead to killing of eleven million
innocent victims during the time period of the Holocaust. Milgram became enthusiastic in researching
the limit that the average person would go to obey orders from their authority figures, even if that

Comparing Two Movie Genres
How we choose the movie genres that we would like to watch. One could simply choose a genre to
watch just by what they love to watch or by how they are feeling on that particular day. Some people
have a preference towards the actors that may be performing in a particular movie genre. Others prefer
more than one genre, were not subjected to just choose one genre, but some may just stick to one
genre.
We all have preference when it comes to movies. Some may love horror and then some may prefer an
action movie or even a comedy. Some may be prejudiced to a movie just because of the genre the
movie has been placed. Genre is a classification of artistic composition based upon their style, form,

Judge Gray s Argumentative Essay
To support his claims, Judge Gray cites two court cases: Gains v. Gains (1820) and Leaycraft v.
Simmons (1854). The first case states that testator intention was to destroy the will, but was prevented
from doing so. However, the testator s intention could not be substituted as revocation, making the
will still valid. The second case involves a testator who wanted to alter his will to grant more gifts to
the benefactor. But, the testator s son refused to give back the will for alteration. It was decided that
the will sustains its integrity since it was not altered or revoked. These cases provide convincing proof
for the dissent judge s arguments that since the will was not revoked, the court should grant Elmer his

Essay On Tim Hortons
The Tim Hortons chain was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario. The chain s focus on top quality,
always fresh product, value, great service and community leadership has allowed it to grow into the
largest quick service restaurant chain in Canada specializing in always fresh coffee, baked goods and
home style lunches. The first Tim Hortons stores offered only two products coffee and donuts. The
selection of donuts to enjoy was highlighted by two original Tim Hortons creations, the Apple Fritter
and the Dutchie. They became the most popular donut choices in the 60 s, and remain two of the most
popular today. (Horton, 2008).
The Tim hortons restaurant franchise was founded by Miles Gilbert Tim Horton, a longtime
defenseman of the Toronto Maple leafs. Born in Cochrane, Ontario and the first child to Ethel Irish

The Benefits Of Health Care Reform
Health care reform is in the air and spearheading its momentum is none other than President Barack
Obama whose slogan, Change you can believe in, is now being implemented at an alarming pace to
many. Obama Care as its being called by its opponents is a concerted effort on the part of the
Democratic Party to enact sweeping legislation that would overhaul the entire health care system in
the United States. Originally the push for reform began as a call to reform the health care system, but
it has recently been transformed by the Democratic leadership into a more nuanced argument for
changing the health insurance industry. In either case, the bill is causing widespread controversy

Midterm Reflection
From the beginning of the semester until now, I believe I have made progress with the goals I
considered for the midterm exam. Those goals were staying turned out, fully extending the working
leg to the back, and carrying the working leg en l air at the same height. In addition to these three
aspects, new challenges were discovered over the current ones. The new challenges have allowed
myself to set new goals for the upcoming semester of Spring 2018. During the midterm conference,
Dr. Sims provided me a few exercises I could work on outside of class to improve my turnout. The
exercise I have really worked on is with a theraband. This exercise consists of tieing the theraband
around the thigh area tight enough to allow resistance and begin to externally rotate the legs. This
exercise targets turning out from the hips as I was turning out from the knee, which could be another
cause of my knee pain.
Not only is working with a theraband working, but continuing to think about sending energy out from
the tip of my hip of the working leg into my big toe. With this idea in my head, it allows me to fully
lengthen the working leg and not let the knee drop or turn parallel to the floor. For example, while in
arabesque or working to the back, I have had a bad habit of letting the working leg go into flexion.
Not only in this area, but as well as rhon de jambes. In this particular exercise, I would bend the
working leg as it passed through first position. Now that I have this image

Carpet Advantages And Disadvantages
There is no doubt the carpet inhibit dust and a myriad of indoor allergens like house dust mites,
mould, and fungi. That s why carpet is not popular among homes with children as parents are afraid
their children will breathe in dirty air particles and lead to respiratory illness like asthma.
Although the carpet can be a potential health hazard, it doesn t mean you cannot have in your office or

Minimal application of fluid and chemical in the carpet would not lead to excessive exposure to
chemical residue after cleaning and having bad smell due to insufficient drying after a wet cleaning
treatment.
For those who prefer using environmental friendly products, you would be pleased to know that most
dry carpet cleaning technologies use biodegradable compound as the main cleaning product.
However, dry carpet cleaning has often been misunderstood as a cleaning method suitable only for
light soiling carpet condition or for periodic maintenance purpose as dry cleaning system was known
to clean only the carpet surface and not deep carpet cleaning.
Over recent years, with further developments and research, dry carpet cleaning systems has now come
with a range of stain removal products that will be applied on heavily soiled carpet or stubborn stains
during pre cleaning treatment. These stain removal products effectively break down different types of
stains like food, beverage, grease, glue, etc, before the application of dry compound or encapsulating
crystals on the carpet.

Michelangelo s The Last Judgement Analysis
[1] In Christian theology, it is said that during the Judgement Day , the end of mankind, Jesus Christ,
the Savior of Mankind will depart from Heaven to take his Redeemed saints with him to Heaven on
high. As the intercessor between an omnipotent God and His flawed creations, Christ is often depicted
as a kind, loving peacemaker who understands the struggles of mankind. When given life in paintings
and artwork, He is often draped in white robes, seemingly connoting purity and peace, with a
countenance intended to convince viewers to come to Him for forgiveness and eternal joy. However,
Michelangelo took a dramatically different approach when he was commissioned to draw the fresco he
painted to adorn the altar of the Sistine Chapel. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite all of the piece s efforts to force viewers attention to Christ, His own face is turned away from
the line of sight of the viewer, unlike many contemporary works which focus on His face to show Him
as compassionate and loving. In the absence of loving kindness, he becomes a concrete, unmoving
agent of judgement. His features resemble vengeful and often unsympathetic Greek deities, a parallel
to illustrate how Christ s mercy will be unattainable during the Last Judgement. Through emphasizing
the finite nature of the audience s opportunity to repent from their sins and seek Christ, The Last
Judgement is able to simulate the sense of regret and hopelessness that the characters in the piece
currently have but are unable to do anything about. Thus, by using remorse, Michelangelo implies that
when the Last Judgement does come, the audience too would regret wrongs in their life that they
cannot fix now that Christ s forgiveness has expired. By creating this dark setting, Michelangelo
underscores the idea that all hope will be lost during the Last Judgement, implying that the audience
needs to align their lives with Christ before then. [3] Through the choice of artistic elements
Michelangelo includes, and more importantly chooses not to include, he is able to achieve a sense of
urgency in the work. Typically to underscore the compassionate love Christ is associated with, He is
shown with holes

Summary Of Birnam Wood
The story, Birnam Wood by T. Coraghessan Boyle, is about a young man named Keith who was a part
time substitute teacher who filled in whenever he received a call. Not having a steady job meant that
Keith and his unemployed girlfriend Nora could only afford to live in small rundown shacks. Keith
describes the first place they lived in as, a shack, a converted chicken coop from a time long gone.
(156) One day the two of them go to look at another seasonal rental, only this one was smaller and
neither of them like it. Keith says that this was awkward for him, he felt that he was the provider and
was beginning to resent Nora for not working. The following day a friend of theirs, Artie, calls to tell
them about a place they could possibly stay. Keith and Nora eventually house sit a much nicer place
for the rest of the season, and Nora finally obtains a part time job working at a local bar as a hostess.
One evening, Keith stays at the bar and begins talking to Steve (another patron at the bar). When Steve
shows interest in Nora, Keith dismisses it, and other things are said and eventually personal
information is exchanged. At the end of the night Steve shows up in the house with a bottle of tequila
to see Nora. After trying to get Steve to leave, Nora (who appears to be upset and confused about why
this man is in their house looking for her) essentially allows Steve to stay. At the end of the story Keith

Comparison Of Calista Roy s And Betty Neuman
Throughout nursing, there are many theories that nurses may come across and use. Calista Roy s and
Betty Neuman are two theorists that use two different types of models to encompasses the health,
person, and the environment. Callista Roy uses a theory that promotes adaptation to the stimuli a
person may encounter. Betty Neuman uses a theory that promotes equilibrium in a time where a
person will encounter stress. These theories allow the nurse to bring a knowledge to learn more about
the person and the factors that influence their health. Although with any theory there are different
approaches in how the nursing plan is done, but with the patient in mind, it makes the difference in
care that is given and allows for better outcomes for the patient.
Roy s adaptation model is described as promoting a person s adaptation in the four adaptive models
which include physiologic needs, self concept, role function, and interdependent relations (Hood,
2014, p. 135). Roy uses the approach of adaptation in the response to external stimulus. A stimulus can
elicit a response, but it is the way that a person can adapt to the stimulus that will allow the person to
cope (Roy, 2014, p.135). For example, a person may encounter an illness but how the person deals
with it and the resources at hand will make the difference in their coping. Roy describes that there are
two coping mechanisms that can affect our mind and also our body systems (Hood, 2014, p.134).

International Accounting Standards Board ( Fasb )
Executive Summary
Lease is one of the most important measures in providing an overall financial obligations of a
company. It s a way of gaining access to assets, obtaining finance and reducing risk of assets
ownership (IFRS Exposure Draft Leases 2013, pp. 5). However, existing lease recognition under
standard AASB 117 is limited and inconsistent, it does not provide a clear picture to the existing
financial statement users.
Thus on May 2013, International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and Financial Accounting
Standards Board (FASB) has issued ED/2013/6 Lease.
This report will observe:

Type B Leases of property example land.
According to ED/2013/6 entity (lessee) should recognise a lease in the books in the following way:
Step 1 Initial Measurement
Lessee is required to initially recognise all leases on balance sheet as asset and lease liability at the
present value of lease payments.
EXCEPTION Entity is not required to record asset and lease liability in the balance sheet only if the
lease is a short term lease.
Step 2 Subsequent Measurement
(I) Type A leases Lessee would subsequently measure the amortisation on the right of use asset
according to the existing IFRS for the non financial assets, measured at cost, using straight line
method or other systematic method which represents the use of an asset. Further, the unwinding of the
discount on the lease liability (as interest) will be shown separately from the amortisation of the right
of use asset.
(II) Type B Leases Lessee would recognise periodic lease expenses (amortise the right of use asset) on
a straight line basis over the lease term. The lessee would recognise periodic lease expense as the
greater of the following:
Calculated amortisation cost at the start of the period using straight line method.
Interest expense for a period on the lease liability by using the effective interest method.
In this case, lessee would need to combine the amortisation of the right of use asset with the
unwinding of the discount on the lease liability.

King Judalism Research Paper
The king held the highest position on the social hierarchy, as well as supplied the land to the vassals.
The king gave his land in return for services from the vassals. All of the land was originally acquired
by the king, second only to God himself (Norman 103). Himself alone could not maintain the entirety
of his land, so as a result, he divided parts of this land and gave portions away to protect it from
invaders and harm (Jovinelly 6). The kings and other lords had several responsibilities, including
advising when to go to war, supervising the peasant work, punishing minor crimes, settling disputes
and collecting taxes (Cels 18). Some other duties of the lord included protecting the vassal in the court
of law, even when it came to royal courts (Norman 103). The kings and lords also protected the serfs

The vassal received several gifts, including land, for their services. The name of this land was a fief
(Biel 9). A higher noble granted them temporary use of the land until their death, called the precarium
(Jovinelly 6). They were given a lump of earth to symbolize the fief they would soon receive from the
lord (King 28). The lord gave the vassal this land, so in exchange, he would receive their service
(King 26). The vassal also promised a lot to the lord who granted him the land. To start off, the vassal
pledged his military allegiance to the lord, promising to serve when needed (Koshal). Additionally, he
helped pay the ransom of the lord, gave lodging, and served in the court when necessary (King 28).
Everyone with an exception of the king and peasants were vassals, because everyone was given land
from a higher figure in society. Therefore, nearly everyone had to perform these tasks (Jovinelly 7).
All things considered, the vassal was an important fundamental figure who received land in the system

Woodrow Wilson s Fourteen Points
In the early months of 1918, the dynamics of The Great War ravaging Europe changed dramatically.
On March 3rd, Germany and the Russian Bolsheviks signed the Treaty of Brest Litovsk, officially
ending Russia s involvement in the war and freeing Germany s forces previously occupied on the
Eastern Front . That same month, Germany launched an extensive attack in France along the Somme
River, knocking a devastating blow to the Allies. By the summer of 1918, the United States had
escalated it s involvement in the war, sending over mass amounts of troops and coordinating with
European powers to essentially back the German offensive into a position of little advancement. As
Germany recognized its failing position in the war, the officials in the German High Command began
quietly pursuing negotiations of peace and cease fire, not from their European counterparts, but from
American President Woodrow Wilson . Germany was hoping to benefit from President Wilson s ideals
of peace and justice for all, ideals he had laid out publicly that year in a January speech outlining his
blueprint for a new democratic world order. These Fourteen Points became the cornerstone of Wilson s
contribution to the peace negotiations following the armistice that ended the war in November of
1918. Focusing on the belief that an established system of democracy, communication and peace
would prevent further atrocities like World War I, the Fourteen Points centered on equal representation
and opportunity

What Are The Similarities Between Garuda Indonesia And...
In this high mobility era, plane became indispensable part of people life especially for those who like
or need to travel. Plane is the most efficient transportation particularly for traveling across islands,
province and country. There are two kinds of plane services, which is low cost carrier and full
services. Commonly, low cost carrier is chosen because of the fare is cheaper, but some people priority
services rather than price. In Indonesia, there are two airlines providing full services, Garuda
Indonesia and Batik Air (JPPN, 2015). There is argue in which one is the best full services airlines
between Garuda Indonesia and Batik Air. Moreover, both airlines have some similarities as well as
contraries. Garuda Indonesia and Batik Air is totally opposite in several keys. Obvious differences are

24,617 flights scheduled, while Garuda only 85.82 percent or 77,955 of 90,832 flights scheduled. This
is also given Batik Air award by Transportation Ministry as the most on time airline in Indonesia,
while Garuda only in third place. Most of the delayed factor is the plane is not ready yet when take off

Garuda Indonesia still remain in some area but already overcame by Batik Air in other area as well.
Therefore, Batik Air is extremely tough competitor for Garuda Indonesia particularly in domestic

Neolithic Revolution Essay
Introduction:
The emergence of agriculture was a major stepping stone in human history. During this birth of
agriculture, also known as the Neolithic revolution, humans began inhabiting permanent settlements,
grow their own crops, and domesticate both plants and animals for food (Weisdorf, 2005).
Considering humans have been hunter gatherers for the majority of their approximately 7 million
years of existence, the emergence of agriculture in the Old World only occurring 10,000 5,000 years
ago, marks a significant transformation in food sustenance techniques (Weisdorf, 2005). However, this
turning point in history is associated with both positive and negative implications. There is much
controversy over whether or not the introduction of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Early Neolithic remains found at Catal Hüyük showed similar pathology, in which porotic hypertosis
affect approximately 41% of the population (Angel, 1971). In addition, transverse linear hypoplasia
markers were common on teeth throughout the population, these are generally indicators of early
childhood stresses such as disease or malnutrition (Angel, 1971). From these two sites, it can clearly
be seen that the diet composition had a great effect on the health of Neolithic era humans. The
excessive amount of skeletal markers that indicate malnutrition can suggest the Neolithic diet lacked
the nutrients needed for humans to be healthy. The Alepotrypa skeletal remains had also shown high
incidents of osteoarthritis generally located in the spine, this could be an indicator of a physically
stress full lifestyle (Papathanasiou, 2005). The stress markers on these bones are very different from
early hunter gatherers who were generally free of dietary and activity influenced diseases (O Keefe
Cordain, 2004). This comparison is fairly significant as Neolithic individuals had a very different
lifestyle from that of the hunter gatherers. Evidently, early Neolithic individuals likely participated in
much more labor intense activities than hunter gatherers during daily life. Regardless of the causes for
dietary and stress related skeletal markers, it can be seen that the Neolithic populations experienced
poor health in comparison to hunter gatherers. Neolithic populations

According to Leigh Cohn, bulimia is an addiction that takes over a persons thoughts and self esteem.
The longer the person is bulimic, the harder it is to quit (19). There is a growing trend toward bulimia.
Even though more women are affected than men, the most common age of bulimics range from 13 40
years of age. These people are commonly known to be high achievers or sports players. One source
from The Royal College of Psychiatrists states, high achievers are affected because they see bulimia as
the missing link to the perfectism puzzle (Internet). It s also common for anorexics to turn bulimic
because anorexics starve themselves. When they finally do eat, they feel out of control and purge. In
fact, 60% of all anorexics eventually turn bulimic. There are several forms of bulimia. The most
frequent form is binge and purge. Another form of bulimia is when a person binges really badly, and
then fasts for days. This form actually makes the person gain weight because it will slow down their
metabolism , and when they start eating again they will actually gain weight. In a book entitled When

most common methods are: self induced vomiting, over use of laxatives or diuretics, enemas, abuse of

The Problem Of Teen Suicide
Teen suicide is one of the leading causes of death among teens and a significant problem in the United
States. Consequently, suicide is a tragedy not only for that person, but also for their family and friends
that are left behind (Bell). Many teens of all races are affected by this intentional, self inflicted death.
Even though the causes of suicide can be hard to isolate, the signs can be linked to depression, drug
abuse, emotional neglect of their parents, bullying, parents divorcing, sexual and domestic abuse.
Sadness, feelings of lack of worthiness, uninterested in activities are all signs of depression.
Depression is a mood disorder and it is one of the most common signs that lead to suicide. Teenagers
let problems take over their live. If this mental disorder is identified in the early stages, professional
guidance may solve the problem (Bell). Time is the main factor for depression. Emotional distress is
usually what the teenager feels before attempting or completing the act. The only way their behavior
will improve is through professional help. Emotional neglect of parents can affect teens in a way that
is hard to believe. Parents are busy with their lives and sometimes forget about their children s
emotional needs. Therefore, the child feels their existence no longer matters (Bell). Divorce is another
catalyst in teen suicide. Teens that are in a middle of a divorce tend to blame themselves for their
parents break up. Feelings of abandonment takes over and

Abstract
This research paper is about discussing the effects of cloud computing on the software development
process. Cloud computing is very popular these days. The concept of cloud computing is quite
different from other existing computing techniques. Cloud computing is a modern concept evolving as
a multidisciplinary field based on web services and service oriented architecture; this is supported by
Alter (2008). So it is affecting the software development process to a great extent which has its own
pros and cons. These will be discussed in this research paper. There is a lot of research work going on
this topic and few ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This concept is not entirely new as most of us are using this from past many years in one form or
another using emails and WWW. But now days the concept has revised too much. Users can access
the resources directly through the internet; there is absolutely no need of having the direct physical
access to the resources within the organization s premises. The concept is based on service
provisioning where the services can be easily provisioned and de provisioned as per the user s request
and demand. This is very beneficial for the users as they do not have to pay for the entire service, they
will pay as per its use, which reduces the total cost. This concept ahs in turn invented some new
concepts like mesh computing, pay per use service, cloud platforms, etc.
This is very important to investigate this area as it reduces a lot of development cost and the
development time too. It makes the access to the services as very easy and comfortable job. A lot of
research is going on this topic to further improve its efficiency and effectiveness.
Discussion
The concept of cloud computing is very popular these days. So let us try to understand its architecture
and the concept on which cloud computing is based on:
Conceptualization of Cloud Computing
The conceptualization of cloud computing can be explained from the below drawn figure. There are

In the early 17th century, a large religious group of Protestants desired to purify their spiritual
identities by reforming away from the Church of England. The Protestants revolutionized the religious
world into a strict belief group of Puritans. The Puritans desired to have religious freedom in their
ideal utopia of Christianity. The Puritans envisioned the New World as God s gift of grace and mercy.
As the years passed, the Puritans journeyed to the New World because they expressed God s
opportunity to build a Puritan society. The Puritan communities consisted of self reliance, simplicity,
obedience to God, and spiritual influence of God s scripture. Also, the Puritan communities relied on

Unlike Bradford and Winthrop, Bradstreet experienced God s gracious dealings in her love of her
family, nature, external conflicts, emotions, and difficult experiences in life. Throughout her life, she
questioned God s omnipresent because she felt out of place in the Puritan theology due to her
misunderstanding of scripture. In Bradford s words, Many times hath Satan troubled me concerning
the verity of the Scriptures, many times by atheism how I could know whether there was a God; I
never saw any miracles to confirm me, and those which I read of, how did I know but they were
feigned? (Bradstreet 125). ¬As time passed, Bradstreet reflected on her past sickness which developed
her realization of God s way of preparing the heart for the acceptance of His grace. She stated, So
usually thus it hath been with me that I have no sooner felt my heart out of order, but I have expected
correction for it, which most commonly hath been upon my own person in sickness, weakness, pains,
sometimes on my soul, in doubts and fear of God s displeasure and my sincerity towards Him;
(Bradstreet 124). During her spiritual detachment, she immersed herself in the beauty of nature and
her love for her family. Also, she realized the beauty of nature and love in God s

(McConnell, Brue, amp; amp; Flynn, 2009, p. 116) With this change in prices, Will could expect to
sell more of the older books at the lower cost, which would increase revenue over time. He also could
experience very little change in his sale of newer books with the small $1 increase in price. By
monitoring the consumers response to the changes in price (known as price elasticity), Will can see
rather quickly how consumers are responding to the changes in pricing and adjust accordingly.
(McConnell, Brue, amp; amp; Flynn, 2009, p. 114) One way Will could sell more books is by selling
them online. He has already started by building a low cost website which describes his product and
offers his product for purchase. He could also create an online store on a website such as EBay, and
sell his product there. A basic EBay store costs $15.95 a month to operate and a percentage fee based
on the amount of sales made each month. (Fees For Ebay Stores, 2012) Using technology to sell his
new technology makes the most sense and can be done for relatively low prices. However, there are
costs Will needs to consider before putting his product in more locations for customers to purchase it.
If the demand increases, Will may consider hiring additional help. One way to keep the labor costs
down is to hire college students as interns to help him with the translations and assisting customers.

The areas of investigation were focused to the west of Douglass battery, chosen based on an 1804
watercolour painting by Edward Walsh (see figure 1). In the painting, three buildings are observed in
the background, which prompted the survey of the suspected area. A grid was set up in the area with
flags being placed at an interval of five meters. These intervals were test pitted down to the subsoil
and the contents screened through mesh. The test pits, which revealed building material, were used to
co ordinate three different areas that would be excavated. Units were placed within each of these three
spaces, laid in a way to maximize the area that would be covered. Areas one and three were supervised
by teaching assistants Katie Anderson and Duncan Williams, while area two was under the supervision
of Dr. John Trigs. All soil that was removed was screened through wire mesh and artifacts were placed
in plastics bags with the provenience labeled on the front. The season lasted six weeks, beginning
from May 11th, to June 5th 2015. At the end of the season, all units were backfilled with soil, with
plastics sheets being placed in specific units to protect features.

The Influence of Too Much Violence on Children
In April 2008 at Taylor Elementary, a K 5 school in Hunting Park, a male child held a knife against the
throat of a classmate and threatened to cut off his head if he snitched (Snyder 1). This student, like
many other kindergarten students across the world, is extremely violent. This stems from the student s
violent environment in which he is being raised. Hunting Park, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
is a neighborhood filled with poverty and most importantly a high violent crime rate. Children who
witness domestic and neighborhood violence become more violent themselves because they become
less sensitive to violence, accept violence as normal behavior, and are also at risk for severe
behavioral and psychological problems.
When people, especially children, witness a recurring amount of violence over an extended period of
time, they become less sensitive to violence. One of the largest sources, if not the largest source, for
witnessing a recurring amount of violence is the media. Every day 21 kids kill someone or commit
suicide, and many more are left permanently disabled or injured. When the general public hears stories
similar to this told on the news, it should have an effect on them. They might think about those stories
sometime throughout the day, because the stories are horrible things to hear about. The news tells
stories involving child/teen violence, or just inhumane acts of violence in general, so often that a
viewer doesn t think twice about it. The loss

Bronze Age Of The Stone Age
Stone Age (50,000 3000 BCE) The Stone Age refers to the broad range of pre history which lasted
from approx 30,000 BC to 6,000BC where the first metals started to be used. In the stone age, use of
metals was scarce and the most common building materials and weapons were wood and stone. Much
of this history is undocumented, though some archaeological evidence persists.
bronze ageBronze Age (3000 1300 BCE) The Bronze age refers to the broad period of history when
cultures in Europe, Asia and other parts of the world made the first uses of bronze, from mining
copper and tin. Bronze enabled more powerful tools and weapons. It was an age where the first
writing systems became devised and used.
iron ageIron Age (1200 230 BCE) The iron age was a period of economic development, where iron
and steel enabled a greater use of metal tools which were stronger than previous Bronze Age items.
The era led to developments in agricultural production and we see the first evidence of written
manuscripts, which includes great religious texts such as the Indian Vedas, (Sanskrit), and the Hebrew
Bible.

First off, the size of the farm will strongly determine the longevity of the farm s success. There are
several different categories of farms and they all have specific criteria to be part of that category. The
broadest of the categories is the small family farm (sales of less than $250,000). Then under this
category is several sub categories which comprise of: limited resource farms (gross sales of less than
$100,000, total farm assets less than $250,000, and total operator house hold income less than
$20,000), retirement farms (small farms with the operator being retired), residential/lifestyle farms
(small farms with the operator having a major occupation other than farming), farming
occupation/lower sales (sales less than $100,000), farming occupation/higher sales (sales between
$100,000 and $249,999). The other types of farms include large family farms and very large family
farms. The final category is non family farm; these types of farms are more like corporations and
cooperatives. The reason why the size of a farm is so important to the success is that it all depends on
the amount of income that is flowing into the farm. The limited resource, retirement, and lifestyle
family farms will have a better chance of prolonging its existence because of its off farm income.
These types of farms do not need to worry as much about low prices and low yields because of the
other source of cash flow. This brings us to the farming occupation with

It is defined as a set of
web based methods of facilitating both internal utility related communications and necessary
communications between the state
DOT, municipalities, and utility companies as projects are planned and constructed (AASHTO 2014).
Even though this study is mainly focused on the use of UMSs for utility relocation activities as a
requirement for the completion of transportation construction projects, the authors recognize that the
potential capability of these systems may involve virtually all utility related procedures required by
transportation agencies.
Therefore, and for the purposes of this paper, a UMS is defined as a set of policies and information
technology resources aimed to improve utility related procedures and activities by facilitating
coordination and communication within the agency and, in some cases, among stakeholders (e.g.,
public agencies, utility owners, contractors, and the community). The principal goal of UMSs is the
reduction of time and cost by expediting processes, identifying potential utility conflicts in a timely
manner, and optimizing decision making procedures. The range of features of the system may vary
depending on the specific preferences, capabilities, and requirements of each agency. For instance, at

Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) has been used in traditional medicine to treat circulatory disorders and enhance memory. Although not all studies agree, ginkgo may be especially effective in treating dementia (including Alzheimer s disease) and intermittent claudication (poor circulation in the legs). It also shows promise for enhancing memory in older adults. Laboratory studies have shown that ginkgo improves blood circulation by dilating blood vessels and reducing the stickiness of blood platelets. By the same token, this means ginkgo may also increase the effect of some blood thinning medications, including aspirin. • 9. Midterm Reflection From the beginning of the semester until now, I believe I have made progress with the goals I considered for the midterm exam. Those goals were staying turned out, fully extending the working leg to the back, and carrying the working leg en l air at the same height. In addition to these three aspects, new challenges were discovered over the current ones. The new challenges have allowed myself to set new goals for the upcoming semester of Spring 2018. During the midterm conference, Dr. Sims provided me a few exercises I could work on outside of class to improve my turnout. The exercise I have really worked on is with a theraband. This exercise consists of tieing the theraband around the thigh area tight enough to allow resistance and begin to externally rotate the legs. This exercise targets turning out from the hips as I was turning out from the knee, which could be another cause of my knee pain. Not only is working with a theraband working, but continuing to think about sending energy out from the tip of my hip of the working leg into my big toe. With this idea in my head, it allows me to fully lengthen the working leg and not let the knee drop or turn parallel to the floor. For example, while in arabesque or working to the back, I have had a bad habit of letting the working leg go into flexion. Not only in this area, but as well as rhon de jambes. In this particular exercise, I would bend the working leg as it passed through first position. Now that I have this image ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Michelangelo s The Last Judgement Analysis [1] In Christian theology, it is said that during the Judgement Day , the end of mankind, Jesus Christ, the Savior of Mankind will depart from Heaven to take his Redeemed saints with him to Heaven on high. As the intercessor between an omnipotent God and His flawed creations, Christ is often depicted as a kind, loving peacemaker who understands the struggles of mankind. When given life in paintings and artwork, He is often draped in white robes, seemingly connoting purity and peace, with a countenance intended to convince viewers to come to Him for forgiveness and eternal joy. However, Michelangelo took a dramatically different approach when he was commissioned to draw the fresco he painted to adorn the altar of the Sistine Chapel. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Despite all of the piece s efforts to force viewers attention to Christ, His own face is turned away from the line of sight of the viewer, unlike many contemporary works which focus on His face to show Him as compassionate and loving. In the absence of loving kindness, he becomes a concrete, unmoving agent of judgement. His features resemble vengeful and often unsympathetic Greek deities, a parallel to illustrate how Christ s mercy will be unattainable during the Last Judgement. Through emphasizing the finite nature of the audience s opportunity to repent from their sins and seek Christ, The Last Judgement is able to simulate the sense of regret and hopelessness that the characters in the piece currently have but are unable to do anything about. Thus, by using remorse, Michelangelo implies that when the Last Judgement does come, the audience too would regret wrongs in their life that they cannot fix now that Christ s forgiveness has expired. By creating this dark setting, Michelangelo underscores the idea that all hope will be lost during the Last Judgement, implying that the audience needs to align their lives with Christ before then. [3] Through the choice of artistic elements Michelangelo includes, and more importantly chooses not to include, he is able to achieve a sense of urgency in the work. Calista Roy s and Betty Neuman are two theorists that use two different types of models to encompasses the health, person, and the environment. Callista Roy uses a theory that promotes adaptation to the stimuli a person may encounter. Betty Neuman uses a theory that promotes equilibrium in a time where a person will encounter stress. These theories allow the nurse to bring a knowledge to learn more about the person and the factors that influence their health. Although with any theory there are different approaches in how the nursing plan is done, but with the patient in mind, it makes the difference in care that is given and allows for better outcomes for the patient. Roy s adaptation model is described as promoting a person s adaptation in the four adaptive models which include physiologic needs, self concept, role function, and interdependent relations (Hood, 2014, p. 135). Roy uses the approach of adaptation in the response to external stimulus. A stimulus can elicit a response, but it is the way that a person can adapt to the stimulus that will allow the person to cope (Roy, 2014, p.135). For example, a person may encounter an illness but how the person deals with it and the resources at hand will make the difference in their coping. Roy describes that there are two coping mechanisms that can affect our mind and also our body systems (Hood, 2014, p.134). Betty Neuman s system model uses ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Himself alone could not maintain the entirety of his land, so as a result, he divided parts of this land and gave portions away to protect it from invaders and harm (Jovinelly 6). The kings and other lords had several responsibilities, including advising when to go to war, supervising the peasant work, punishing minor crimes, settling disputes and collecting taxes (Cels 18). That same month, Germany launched an extensive attack in France along the Somme River, knocking a devastating blow to the Allies. By the summer of 1918, the United States had escalated it s involvement in the war, sending over mass amounts of troops and coordinating with European powers to essentially back the German offensive into a position of little advancement. As Germany recognized its failing position in the war, the officials in the German High Command began quietly pursuing negotiations of peace and cease fire, not from their European counterparts, but from American President Woodrow Wilson . Germany was hoping to benefit from President Wilson s ideals of peace and justice for all, ideals he had laid out publicly that year in a January speech outlining his blueprint for a new democratic world order. This concept ahs in turn invented some new concepts like mesh computing, pay per use service, cloud platforms, etc. This is very important to investigate this area as it reduces a lot of development cost and the development time too. It makes the access to the services as very easy and comfortable job. A lot of research is going on this topic to further improve its efficiency and effectiveness. The Protestants revolutionized the religious world into a strict belief group of Puritans. The Puritans desired to have religious freedom in their ideal utopia of Christianity. The Puritans envisioned the New World as God s gift of grace and mercy. As the years passed, the Puritans journeyed to the New World because they expressed God s opportunity to build a Puritan society. Unlike Bradford and Winthrop, Bradstreet experienced God s gracious dealings in her love of her family, nature, external conflicts, emotions, and difficult experiences in life. Throughout her life, she questioned God s omnipresent because she felt out of place in the Puritan theology due to her misunderstanding of scripture. In Bradford s words, Many times hath Satan troubled me concerning the verity of the Scriptures, many times by atheism how I could know whether there was a God; I never saw any miracles to confirm me, and those which I read of, how did I know but they were feigned? (Bradstreet 125). ¬As time passed, Bradstreet reflected on her past sickness which developed her realization of God s way of preparing the heart for the acceptance of His grace. She stated, So usually thus it hath been with me that I have no sooner felt my heart out of order, but I have expected correction for it, which most commonly hath been upon my own person in sickness, weakness, pains, sometimes on my soul, in doubts and fear of God s displeasure and my sincerity towards Him; (Bradstreet 124). (McConnell, Brue, amp; amp; Flynn, 2009, p. 116) With this change in prices, Will could expect to sell more of the older books at the lower cost, which would increase revenue over time. He also could experience very little change in his sale of newer books with the small $1 increase in price. By monitoring the consumers response to the changes in price (known as price elasticity), Will can see rather quickly how consumers are responding to the changes in pricing and adjust accordingly. (McConnell, Brue, amp; amp; Flynn, 2009, p. 114) One way Will could sell more books is by selling them online. He has already started by building a low cost website which describes his product and offers his product for purchase. He could also create an online store on a website such as EBay, and sell his product there. A basic EBay store costs $15.95 a month to operate and a percentage fee based on the amount of sales made each month. (Fees For Ebay Stores, 2012) Using technology to sell his new technology makes the most sense and can be done for relatively low prices. However, there are costs Will needs to consider before putting his product in more locations for customers to purchase it. If the demand increases, Will may consider hiring additional help. One way to keep the labor costs down is to hire college students as interns to help him with the translations and assisting customers. Often students look for low paying or ... In the painting, three buildings are observed in the background, which prompted the survey of the suspected area. A grid was set up in the area with flags being placed at an interval of five meters. These intervals were test pitted down to the subsoil and the contents screened through mesh. The test pits, which revealed building material, were used to co ordinate three different areas that would be excavated. Units were placed within each of these three spaces, laid in a way to maximize the area that would be covered. Areas one and three were supervised by teaching assistants Katie Anderson and Duncan Williams, while area two was under the supervision of Dr. John Trigs. All soil that was removed was screened through wire mesh and artifacts were placed in plastics bags with the provenience labeled on the front. The season lasted six weeks, beginning from May 11th, to June 5th 2015. At the end of the season, all units were backfilled with soil, with plastics sheets being placed in specific units to protect features. • 34. The Influence of Too Much Violence on Children In April 2008 at Taylor Elementary, a K 5 school in Hunting Park, a male child held a knife against the throat of a classmate and threatened to cut off his head if he snitched (Snyder 1). This student, like many other kindergarten students across the world, is extremely violent. This stems from the student s violent environment in which he is being raised. Hunting Park, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a neighborhood filled with poverty and most importantly a high violent crime rate. Children who witness domestic and neighborhood violence become more violent themselves because they become less sensitive to violence, accept violence as normal behavior, and are also at risk for severe behavioral and psychological problems. When people, especially children, witness a recurring amount of violence over an extended period of time, they become less sensitive to violence. One of the largest sources, if not the largest source, for witnessing a recurring amount of violence is the media. Every day 21 kids kill someone or commit suicide, and many more are left permanently disabled or injured. When the general public hears stories similar to this told on the news, it should have an effect on them. They might think about those stories sometime throughout the day, because the stories are horrible things to hear about. The news tells stories involving child/teen violence, or just inhumane acts of violence in general, so often that a viewer doesn t think twice about it. The loss ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

First off, the size of the farm will strongly determine the longevity of the farm s success. There are several different categories of farms and they all have specific criteria to be part of that category. The broadest of the categories is the small family farm (sales of less than $250,000). Then under this category is several sub categories which comprise of: limited resource farms (gross sales of less than $100,000, total farm assets less than $250,000, and total operator house hold income less than $20,000), retirement farms (small farms with the operator being retired), residential/lifestyle farms (small farms with the operator having a major occupation other than farming), farming occupation/lower sales (sales less than $100,000), farming occupation/higher sales (sales between $100,000 and $249,999). The other types of farms include large family farms and very large family farms. The final category is non family farm; these types of farms are more like corporations and cooperatives. The reason why the size of a farm is so important to the success is that it all depends on the amount of income that is flowing into the farm. The limited resource, retirement, and lifestyle family farms will have a better chance of prolonging its existence because of its off farm income. These types of farms do not need to worry as much about low prices and low yields because of the other source of cash flow. This brings us to the farming occupation with ... It is defined as a set of web based methods of facilitating both internal utility related communications and necessary communications between the state DOT, municipalities, and utility companies as projects are planned and constructed (AASHTO 2014). Even though this study is mainly focused on the use of UMSs for utility relocation activities as a requirement for the completion of transportation construction projects, the authors recognize that the potential capability of these systems may involve virtually all utility related procedures required by transportation agencies. Therefore, and for the purposes of this paper, a UMS is defined as a set of policies and information technology resources aimed to improve utility related procedures and activities by facilitating coordination and communication within the agency and, in some cases, among stakeholders (e.g., public agencies, utility owners, contractors, and the community). The principal goal of UMSs is the reduction of time and cost by expediting processes, identifying potential utility conflicts in a timely manner, and optimizing decision making procedures. The range of features of the system may vary depending on the specific preferences, capabilities, and requirements of each agency. For instance, at the state level, while the UMSs ...
