Essay Analyzing Career Theories
It is simple to look at an individual s life and analyze and critique their choices based on our own
opinions and experiences. Is that fair? No. We may see their actions clearly but the reasoning behind
these is what we should focus on when it comes to judging someone s behavior or circumstances. A
common judgment made about a person is based on their career. In our society, it would behoove us to
look at the path that leads to becoming a doctor instead of a drug dealer.
Application of career theories to my own life allows for analyzing past and future career decisions.
Holland s Theory of Careers states that one s vocation is an expression of self, personality, and way of
life. There is an indisputable and fundamental ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally I reached the realistic period and I began to focus my education to prepare for a medical
career. As I have evolved, I find it simpler to make life changing choices. I am exceedingly more
decisive than in previous years because I am more secure with my internal self and due to my
experience, have the capacity to make educated decisions. TRANS Holland s Theory of Careers, while
very useful, represents a societal failing. Habitually we find ourselves judging people based on their
preliminary persona; however, more often than not we find out that there is much more under the
surface. Many entertainers appear to be confident and outgoing, but basic psychology confirms that
often their insecurities drive them to seek approval and praise from the public that comes with those
careers. Ginsberg and Super s Theories of Career Development have one major flaw. This theory does
not account for those individuals whom choose a career in childhood and never stray from their initial
path. Whereas others come to a standstill at one stage and never complete the process. Although the
ability to consistently and effectively apply both of these theories in a myriad of situations speak to
their legitimacy, clearly it is necessary to seek other career theories to supplement ones
conceptualization of this topic.
It can be difficult to judge what stage/level/period a person may be in

Essay on William Morris
William Morris
William Morris (1834 1896) was perhaps the most important British decorative artist of the 19th
century. A prolific designer, craftsman and decorator, his work and ideas have had a major influence
on the development of modern interior design.
William Morris was one of the most influential figures in the
Victorian and Edwardian art world. As a young man at Oxford he became involved with the Pre
Raphaelite movements, mixing with such artists as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Holman Hunt and
Edward Coley
Burne Jones.
Always a man of innovation, Morris soon tired of the subject matter and philosophy of the Pre
Raphaelites. His desire for social reform was also an important factor in his artistic growth and he

Instead of using a genuine shade of indigo, the design was printed in a Prussian blue, the nearest to
indigo that could be achieved using modern aniline dyes. This led William Morris to speak out against
the capitalist forces, which he considered had brought his industry to a very bad state. Henceforward
there is an absolute divorce between the commercial process and the art of printing. Anyone wanting
to produce dyed textiles with any artistic quality in them must entirely forego the modern and
commercial methods in favour of those which are at least as old as Pliny...
In other words, William Morris ended his connection with Clarkson (who printed the design) and
abandoned production of Tulip and Willow. He also set up a tiny dye house in the basement and
scullery of his house in Queen Square, hoping that he might find his own solution to the problem. In
fact it was only in 1883, after he had established himself at Merton Abbey, that he was finally able to
produce a satisfactory printing of Tulip and Willow.
Preliminary Design
Morris s intricate flower patterns, which seem so effortless and casual in their final form, were
achieved after long hours of patient designing and the production of dozens of different designs. This
preliminary stage was important, as Morris recognised. In a lecture called Making the Best of It ,
delivered in 1879, he offered these words of advice to potential designers: no amount of

Essay On Landscapes R Us
Situation analysis
Alex Joyce u3108297

Chosen topic: Landscapes R Us
Introduction
This situation analysis is based on the Landscapes r us business. In this report we will cover the
following, assessment of the uncontrollable environment (PESTL forces), a SWOT analysis, the target
market and a customer and client analysis,
Uncontrollable environment, PESTL
Political forces
Landscapes r us, are faced by several political forces that may influence the amount of work and the
way business will operate. There is a trend of new suburbs being divided into smaller blocks then
older suburbs. In the 1950 s the average block size was 810sqm 910 sq m, and block divided in 2012
average between 200 350 sq m (MacroBusiness, 2014)(Hall, 2011). Therefore, each successful tender
in new suburbs isn t as profitable as before, because there is less work required on each block.
Because there are a greater number of blocks it creates a large number of opportunities to win quotes.
When there are more quotes in an area it will attract more businesses competition.
Economic forces
The announcement of the current federal budget by the Abbot government is driving the message of
cutting Australia s debt. There are threats of lots of job cuts especially in Canberra where the Public
service is a major employer with n unemployment rate of 6.4% (Rba.gov.au, 2014). In turn this means
people have less disposable income to be spent on landscaping work. As landscaping is a

Over sized casement windows create functional challenges. While out windows are designed to be
easy to clean both interior and exterior surfaces from inside your home, extra large casement windows
typically mean you cannot reach all surface areas without going outside to reach some parts of your
glass panels. Because the larger an operable window is, the more it weighs, we typically recommend
combining operational window styles or installing several casement windows beside each other rather
than attempting to use one casement window to replace a very, very large picture window.
Decorative options for your new casement windows
Color is often an important design element for most homeowners. Our casement window color palette
includes five exterior options and seven interiors, including natural wood finishes in pine, oak and
maple.
Grilles add interesting visual appeal and let you closely replicate original designs. Three different
grille styles allow you to choose the one that gives you the most decorating flexibility, easiest cleaning
option, or opportunity to create traditional or contemporary appearances.
You may design custom grille patterns or choose one of these standard grille patterns:

Summary Of Zooman And The Sign
Since the rise of storytelling, one of the most important themes has been the conflict between good
and evil. Often, a person s role in society helped the audience understand what side they were on.
Princes, kings, knights, these were the good characters. Tax collectors, witches, and other villains were
quite obviously evil. In modern times, we consider law enforcement officers to be on the side of good.
However, whenever a character who clearly belongs to one side or the other makes an appearance, we
expect them to do something. Witches don t just pass through town, they throw fireballs and put curses
on people. Knights don t simply gallop by, they stop and rescue damsels in distress. If a character who
clearly belongs to one side or the other appears and fails to advance their side s ... Show more content

It argues that the police are not simply incompetent, but even apathetic to the problems of the
community they have sworn to protect and serve. This is evidenced in that, while investigating the
murder of a young girl, the police go door to door a single time canvassing for witnesses. When
everyone claims that they didn t see anything, the police move on. The play suggests that this, along
with picking up the usual black suspects for questioning, is about the extent of their investigation. The
police don t appear to spend much time gathering evidence from the scene. They don t come back to
see if anyone has remembered anything since the shock wore off. In fact, they seem to be trying to
avoid the scene of the crime. Zooman himself calls the police officers out on their lack of dedication
to finding a murderer in this rough neighborhood, claiming, [I]f a black kills a black, and they don t
catch you right away, they [sic] liable to forget about it (Fuller 47). This indicates that his past
experiences with law enforcement haven t led him to believe in their capabilities, so much so that he

Jfk Influence On John F Kennedy
How did the upbringing of Jacqueline Kennedy affect her marriage to John F. Kennedy, and what was
the effect of his death on her? Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy once said, One must not let oneself be
overwhelmed by sadness (Anzia). Jackie Kennedy faced many tremendous ordeals in her lifetime.
When she was a child, her parents divorced, which was unusual for the time period. The separation of
her parents led Jackie to becoming closed off. She became substantially shy and did not like to endure
many social activities. When Jackie Kennedy was married to John F. Kennedy, she had a miscarriage,
a stillborn, and a baby who died shortly after birth. Jackie Kennedy also had to face the death of her
husband, from a communist killer. All the events ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

into mischief and would be sent to the headmistress, Miss Ethel Stringfellow, who wrote on her report

necessary to exclude her from the room ( Life ). Since Jackie Kennedy got into mischief, some people
would argue that she did not believe her education was important and she could do anything she
wanted. Despite these hard times, Jackie Kennedy had many advantages and opportunities in life. She
took classical ballet lessons in the old Metropolitan Opera House. She began taking lessons in French
( Life ). Although, Jackie Kennedy was rebellious as a child, she was very intelligent and had talent in
a fine art. Being able to dance the ballet shows Jackie Kennedy was very sophisticated and held
herself with a regal posture. Her intelligence is shown through her studying the language of French.
Jackie Kennedy s childhood prepared her for her marriage to Kennedy because during her junior year
in college, Jackie Kennedy studied abroad in France ( Life ). She found through her abroad studies
that she liked to travel. When she married Kennedy, they traveled quite frequently on campaign trips.
Her parents divorce aided Jackie Kennedy in coping with her husband s assassination because she
learned how to handle with loss and grief in a sophisticated manner. Jackie Kennedy s childhood

Sex Offender Laws
A sex offender is a particular grouping of words that tends to scare people when they hear them
together. It is even scarier when you think about the possible crime that might have gone along with
being convicted as a sex offender. One of my favorite TV programs is Law and Order: SVU. Over the
years, this show has portrayed a vast variety of heinous crimes. We as a society cringe when we think
of something bad happening to our children and tend to judge before we know the full story. This
paper will talk about some of Megan s law and similar laws in the state of Mississippi.
Megan s Law Megan s Law is the common term used to refer to state laws that require sex offenders

This lengthy chapter is basically the Mississippi version of Megan s Law. This law was created
because the Mississippi Legislature realized the danger that convicted sex offenders pose to the public.
The law discusses the fact that people convicted of a sex offense need to realize that they will lose
most of their privacy. This loss of privacy is to ensure their safety and wellbeing. The sex offender
registry was created to help law enforcement protect the communities where these criminals live. The
Mississippi law requires that the offender registers, records their address, be fingerprinted, be
photographed and sign a release regarding the information they just supplied. The law further says that
the offender has to keep all this information up to date or face further penalties. The public has the
option to keep up with the sex offender registry and to have the knowledge needed to help keep their
family safe. The twofold plan of this law works well. This includes the public and law enforcement
working together to keep their eyes on all convicted sex offenders ( Mississippi Code Title 45, Chapter

Market Revolution And The Industrial Revolution
The industrial revolution during the 19th Century led to the rapid expanse of cotton production in
America. Several new inventions began to be used which could more efficiently use cotton and other
similar materials to aid in the production of textiles. During that time, the textile industry was big and
the demand for cotton continued to grow however the price of cotton never increased to match the
demand. Slaves were taken advantage of and because their labor was so cheap it was beneficial to
slave owners to collect cotton using slave labor and trade the cotton for a profit. Great Britain was the
worlds most powerful country and a large part of that countries industrial life was cotton textiles.
America became Britain s biggest trade partner for cotton and the increase in trade allowed America to
build on its own and gain a bigger variety of goods through trade. The cotton industry was one of the
biggest influences of America s growth in the 19th Century and slave labor was used to ensure its
expansion could continue throughout the years.
Mass production was a major technological achievement all over the world especially in newly
developing areas. Factory jobs were becoming wildly available and the demand for the materials used
in these factories increased exponentially. The southern states were more focused on gaining profit
through agriculture, however the tobacco economy in these states was beginning to fail. With the rise
of the textile industry, these same states

book follow the same fundamental plotline but there are some differences. This includes different
characters, points of view, and a different ending. In I Am The Cheese, a boy named Adam Farmer is

Analysis Of Etgar Keret sWhat Of This Goldfish Would You...
It is usually a challenge to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea. Ordinarily, one has to
consider one s values as well as preferred consequences in order to make the better or best choice. In
the short story, What of This Goldfish, Would You Wish? by Etgar Keret, Sergei Goralick faced a
similar conundrum. As an aloof Russian expatriate fisherman in Jaffa, Israel, his only company is a
magic three wish granting fish. But having impulsively murdered Yonatan, Goralick had to decide
whether to use his last wish to save the boy or keep his magic goldfish companion. Though he would
have preferred the latter, Goralick made the better choice saving Yonatan as it matches his established
humaneness and the consequences attached were more reasonable. Before he arrived at this decision,
Gorelick considered covering up the murder to keep the fish. He said, Fixable... I ll just mop up the
blood... When I m fishing,...I ll tie the kid to a rock and dump him in the sea. Not a chance, not in a
million years, will anyone ever find him. ( lines 164 171) His stubbornness started surfacing,
obstructing his sound reasoning. Goralick tried to find excuses in order not to use his last wish. For
example, he said that he was saving it for something important.Goralick was ambivalent.Whilst
suggesting this, he forgot how scared he was to even touch Yonatan s blood(lines 124 127). That along
with his statement, He can t be dead (110 113) proves that had he chosen otherwise, Goralick would
have suffered from guilt. In fact, even the goldfish asserted, You killed him, Sergei, ... but you re not a
murderer. ... If, on this, you won t waste a wish, then tell me, Sergei, what is it good for? Though what
immediately happened after this question was skipped, one can infer that Sergei thought thoroughly
during that time. He rightfully chose to save Yonatan. His actions such the uses of his first two wishes
reveal his character traits.
When he heard of the critical conditions of his sister and Sveta s boy respectively, he did not hesitate
to use his first two wishes to save them respectively. His sister had a fatal lung cancer; The fish undid
it in an instant the words barely out of Sergei s mouth. .(lines 135 137) And

Essay Slough by Sir John Betjeman
Sir John Betjeman s poem, Slough, opens with a wonderful, dramatic stanza. There is huge tension
between the ideas of cows grazing and the idea of death. Even in the opening line there is conflict
friendly bombs is a contradiction in terms, as bombs are almost never thought of as friendly, and
Betjeman s use of this defines what a bad place. Another tool Betjeman employs is rhythm; the stanza
is at a steady, predefined pace until the last line where the rhythm is broken with the word Death ,
which gives a powerful image of Slough.
In the second stanza, Betjeman cleverly compares people s minds and breath to tinned products,
giving everything a feeling of sanitised dullness, without fresh air. He also uses the form here, listing

It also has an elegant form.
In the fourth stanza, Betjeman repeats always in the second line which implies the fact that it is this
man s way of life. He also uses this man with double chin as a way of expressing all the people who
have this attitude and life, and the image of washing with women s tears is extremely effective.
Every line in the next stanza opens with And , which makes it seem rather like a list, a list of the poet s
demands. Indeed the entire stanza is simply stating things which he demands be done to this man.
The poem changes tack after this: it speaks of sparing clerks. There is tension simply in using the
description bald young . The rhythm again breaks at the harsh phrase They ve tasted Hell .
The next two stanzas continue the description of these bald young clerks . There is a comparison
between birdsong and the radio , two things which would generally be contrasted. In the last two lines
Betjeman introduces a wonderful tranquil image of looking up and seeing the stars, but then dispels it
with the disgusting line But belch instead .
The ninth stanza is a bit like a throwback to the canned breath it speaks of chemicals and synthetic
things. It discusses peroxide hair and painting nails, poking fun at them.
The final stanza concludes the poem. The opening line is the same as the opening line of the first verse
and it reminds us of the aims of this whole poem and of the subject, Slough. It is aiming

Analysis Of The Colonel By Carolyn Forche
Carolyn Forche, author of The Colonel, writes this poem in a prose style technique. Prose poetry is a
communicative stye that sounds natural and uses correct grammatical structure, but refrains from

with an ordinary family and the details of a routine day; however, this quickly develops with the
sudden detail a pistol on the cushion beside him and induces a major tonal shift. Forche commences
objective imagery to exhibit the negative connotations the Colonel possesses and compares this to the
normal lifestyle of the family. Readers of the poem may overlook the importance of blunt imagery and

Christian Beliefs Of Christian Church
Over a thousand years ago, a small Catholic parish waited nervously. There were at least a hundred
among them. They were openly Christian, Catholic individuals. They waited in the bottom of a Roman
stadium, prevented from entering the main ring by a metal gate. On the other side of this gate lurked
various vicious animals and gladiators. These Catholic individuals were about to be slaughtered for
their faith. They were indeed anxious loved ones said their final good byes, friends gave one another
their final farewells. However anxious, they were ready. They were prepared to unite their suffering to

The Catholic Church follows this practice today in remembrance of the abuse of the first Christians,
and speaks the same words as a reminder of our own duty to follow Christ wherever he may lead us
even into martyrdom. Examples like these inspire the tepid and challenge the complacent. But no
religion can flourish, nor can it provide invaluable sustenance in the form of spiritual nourishment, if
it is constantly and consistently oppressed. Religious freedom is essential to the existence of the
Catholic Church and any other church for it to perform its proper and full function; no faith can lead
individuals to the ultimate wellspring of life God without the ability to freely expand and come to such
individuals. And even more than that, religious freedom brings, to every nation that protects it, an
invaluable character and people that allow a nation to thrive. Religious Freedom diversifies societies,
making them more culturally diverse, and thus more economically and politically adaptable and
sustainable; substantiates a given nation s moral base, which will prevent cultural regression and
degeneration; and encourages individuals to pursue lives of sainthood and righteousness that would
otherwise be discouraged and disdained by an oppressive state.

Dr.Cook confirmed that Mary had not drowned, frothy blood was still issuing from her mouth and her

The Outsiders By Francis Ford Coppola
The Outsiders a film directed by Francis Ford Coppola s in the 1980s is about two social groups of
teenagers who happens to live in the same town and attends the same high school. Although both two
social groups live in the same vicinity, they live a completely different life. A group identified as the
South Side Socials (aka socs ), are the upper class teenagers, while the Greasers, are the less fortunate
kids, who just so happen to live on the wrong side of town. These two social groups have had a
conflict against one another for several years, but on one specific evening, this rivalry turns deadly as
one of the greasers, Johnny, stabs and murders a socs. Due to the passing of one of the Socs, the Socs
tried to avenge the death of their friend, while the greasers tried to get the town to comprehend that the
Socs were also at fault during that conflict. The Outsider is an exceptional film depicting how social
groups can explain our behavior, and how deviance and crime are observed in relation to our social
group. A social group is defined as a group of two or more people who interact frequently with one
another, shares a portion sense of belonging and have a sensation of interdependence. As seen in the
film, both the Socs and the greasers care deeply for each associate of the corresponding group.
Towards the end of the film, as Johnny is being hospitalized for severe burns, Pony Boy expresses
himself by stating the fact that things would be different if he pass away.

1. The competition to develop and market electric vehicles has increased during the last year and is
expected to continue to increase. The electric bicycle industry has four major manufacturers and a
large group of small companies. The major manufacturers are Honda, Suzuki, Sanyo and Yamaha.
They mainly sell products to Japan and Europe. The other group of manufacturers is much smaller in
size and sales volume. These manufacturers have products they sell into the U.S., European and Asian
markets.

With product innovation, the key to success is capturing the imagination of the customers. Also, with
the rising energy costs facing the world today, governments might require permits or licenses on the
EV industry thus dampening the attractiveness of the market. Before the energy problem, recharging
an EV was cost efficient, but with this rise in energy prices, a potential alteration of consumer
perception about the cost of owning an EV might occur. In my opinion, these driving forces only
dampen the industry thus allowing only early movers to be the most likely to survive the competition
of this industry.
li value= 3 Is the industry attraction? Basing my decision on Porter s five forces model, I would have
to say that the EV industry in unattractive. This is because anyone can enter into the industry thus
creating too much competition which will drive prices down. This driving of prices downward will
cause new entrants into the business to see no real profit growth. Also, new products being created
keeps giving consumers new ideas to buy. This also makes it harder for businesses in the EV industry
to find ways to make buyers choose their business. Also, suppliers have strong bargaining power so
industries have a difficult time trying to shop around for the best prices on the parts they need.
However, Zap was an early mover and is a current market leader in

What Is Benito Cerreno Worth Dying For
Amier Munasser Ms. Angle AP Literature 10/26/17
Benito Final Essay There s a time in our lives when we realize that some rules and laws that are set
out are not always right or fair. In Herman Melville s novella, Benito Cereno, a slave, named Babo,
experiences a situation like this. He reacts to injustice by leading an undercover slave revolt to be
freed of slavery. However, he faces an American sailor named Captain Delano that follows a
government that uses the unfair system of slavery.
But even so, Babo continues his attempt to freedom because it is a right that he believes is worth
dying for, even if it means that he must threaten, deceive, or kill others in doing so.
From the start of the novella, Babo and the other slaves have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This is important because it shows how Babo chooses to threaten someone for freedom because he
feels that it is justifiable since he was a slave and as such, his life was always forced to obey by his
master or was punished. After all, freedom is worth the risk, especially since it is a right that he
believes is worth dying for.
But even so, Benito stalls the ship near Chile where Captain Delano eventually sees the ship and
decides to make a visit. Smart Babo quickly improvises and makes a plan to try to deceive Delano by
tricking him and his crew to believe that the ship is still a slave ship and that they needed supplies
because of a disaster. This usage of deception by Babo is significant because it shows how Babo is
willing to do so for freedom because he understands that if they were to present themselves to Delano
without tricking him, then Delano would have tried to fight the slaves. So Babo knows that tricking
him is to their benefit because it would ve prevented a fight and in return, he would be able to steal
supplies from Delano and would be headed towards Senegal. So fooling Delano was a good idea
because it would ve helped them get closer to

Southwest AirlinesSouthwest Airlines employees came together in late January 1995 for their weekly
Tuesday meeting. A main topic of discussion was the competitions between Southwest airlines and
Continental Lite and Shuttle By United . As they were beginning the meeting a staff member advised
the team of two changes Shuttle By United made to its service and pricing. First was the
discontinuation of service for the Oakland Ontario, California market. Second, the one way walk up

Finally, Southwest flew only Boeing 737 jets in coach. Due to all of these combined operations,
Southwest s cost per seat was the lowest among major U.S. carriers.
Southwest focused on creative marketing techniques to differentiate itself from other carriers. Service,
convenience and price were represented in the marketing effort.
Southwest was also focused on its people. The relationships with the employees were very important
to Southwest and that is why it was listed as one of the top ten companies to work for.
Southwest achieved record revenue and income levels in 1994 but their net income fell 47 percent.
These results were due to a few factors such as an acquisition, competitors use of fare sales and the
airline within an airline initiatives launched by Continental and United.
RecommendationsAfter all of these facts about Southwest Airlines and the airline industry in general I
came to an answer about how Southwest should respond to the changes of United Airlines. I believe
Southwest should continue with its present price and service strategy. I do not believe any changes
should be made. Southwest will continue to achieve revenue do to its low prices and its excellent
customer service.
Southwest Airlines should continue to service its local customers on non stop flights. When I fly short
distances there are three main things that I look for in a flight: cheap, non stop and friendly
employees. Southwest Airline

The For The Cash Rate Unchanged At 2.0 % Essay
At its meeting today, the Board decided to leave the cash rate unchanged at 2.0%.
The Board s decision is based on the following conditions. According to the January 2016 World
Economic Outlook (WEO) , the growth rate is 3.1% in 2015, which is less than the forecast in 2016
(3.4%) and 2017(3.6%). It is apparent that the global economy is slightly dipped and the economic
recovery is predicted to be moderated in 2016. Besides, the surplus supply in the oil market possibly
be moderated and the members noticed the World Bank adjusted the predicted oil price in 2016 from
$37 per barrel to $41 per barrel , which may drive a growth of the inflation rate. The World Bank also
pointed out that in February, the reduction forecast in metals prices is 8.2%, less than the prediction in
January (10.2%)5. It is inimical to Australia, which is rich in mineral resources.
Moreover, since China is the largest export market of Australia, its slowdown of growth probably
influences the trade with Australia. At 2015, China s GDP increasing rate was 6.9% and reached the
bottom at 6.7% in the first quarter of 2016 . Some trade with Australia, such as iron ore, base metals
and coal, may be affected by this reduction. As a result, we cannot deny that the cash rate may be
influenced by the possible drop in the future. However, the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed by
China and Australia entered into force on 20 December 2015 . Due to the agreement, over 86% of

The Role Of Aristocratic Women In The Tudor Period
When looking at much of Tudor History especially at the earlier reigns of Henry VII and his successor
Henry VIII many historians have neglected to explore the agency of women in this period. More
specifically the agency of women in the aristocracy is something that can be heavily debated.
Aristocratic women in the Tudor period while often presented as side actors who get acted upon are
were actually dynamic individuals who forged their own paths. When looking at these women it is
important to analyze it in terms of their religion, family, and social position.
Through much of my research I found that these dynamic women had complex motives and reasoning
behind most of their actions. It is also important to note that many of these women who did not always
have the agency they wanted were being constrained by either their wealth, family, or social position.
The day to day and struggles of an aristocratic women s early life greatly deferred from those of the
more common women and for this reason the case of their agency is wholly different.
When analyzing the autonomy of aristocratic women of the Tudor period it is impossible to overlook
Anne Boleyn and her rise and fall to power. It is important to analyze how her family the Boleyn s as
well as the Howards shaped her life but also the way she shaped theirs. Some historians say that you
can t look at Anne as an example as the agency of an aristocratic women because she was queen of
England. This is not necessarily true as she

Descriptive Essay On Open Mic Night
We roam around the swamped streets of New York, arms numb from attaching hundreds of posters
onto different buildings. Initially, we had planned to tape them only against the windows of random
grocery stores and other small businesses. It was my best friend, Fionn, however, who suggested that
sticking them on the lamp posts in the park, would also be a great idea. I obviously complied, wanting
to make sure there isn t a single area left untouched. Earlier this morning, my friend, Mitch, requested
a small favor from me. He said that if it isn t a hassle at all, he d appreciate it if I strolled through the
city while spreading the posters he created. They advertised the open mic night he s hosting, and the
time everyone is expected to be present at. He would have done it himself, but he was preoccupied
with the bar making sure it was spotless and ready for tomorrow. Every month, Mitch hosts an open
mic night at the bar. It s the most anticipated event in our small town often causing the bar to reach its
maximum capacity in under an hour. Many people, including myself, look forward to attending. It s
astonishing to witness how the bar instantly transforms from a place where people get blackout drunk,
to a place where anyone can stumble in and find a safe heaven. On this particular night, locals are

Julius Caesar Ethos Pathos Logos
Ethos, pathos and logos influence every part of our lives from the time we wake up to the moment we
fall asleep. These three advertising tactics are also the pillars of political speeches and other rhetorical
media. In the play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, ethos, pathos and logos are
used to persuade many of the characters views on the conspirators plot and Caesar s subsequent death.
My independent speech, Tear Down this Wall, was given by Ronald Reagan on June 12, 1987 in
Berlin, Germany. This speech was given during the Cold War, which separated the Democratic from
Communist countries. Reagan s objective was to convince Mr. Gorbachev, the leader of Communist

This is one of the most notable uses of rhetoric in Tear Down This Wall. Reagan states,t [that he] finds
in Berlin a message of hope, even in the shadow of this wall, a message of triumph . This quote is a
powerful example of pathos because it validated the dreams of so many people, the hope for freedom.
The wall itself not only was a military boundary, but it also separated families and friends. Reagan s
use of pathos was so powerful in this speech because of the hate and oppression the wall symbolized
for so many years. TRANSITION In Marc Antony s funeral speech he calls Caesar s stab wounds the
unkindest cut of them all. In this line he creates an emotional connection with the crowd. Through that
connection he is able to impart a feeling of distrust towards Brutus, furthering the crowds agreement
with his argument. Reagan uses a similar tactic in his speech, several times he addresses specific
groups of people in German. By speaking to the people in their native language Reagan wanted to

Columns of elements are called families or groups. Elements in the family have similar that are not

Each horizontal row of the elements is called a period. The elements in the period are not like in

on Maple Street were put to the test by hidden military agents. These agents observed everyone s
response to what felt like a bomb exploding nearby, which led to electrical complications. Everyone
began brainstorming reasons to what happened; while others resorted to making aggressive
accusations. Through its effective rendering of mise en scene, camera movement, and lighting; The
Monsters are Due on Maple Street conveys you shouldn t let fear consume you to the point that you re
unable to make rational conclusions. Deriving from the first shot to the last, mise en scene ... Show

The camera movement from one side of the street to the unknown neighbor s house illustrated how
unwilling they were to listen to Will s reasoning yet determined to inflict violence upon a presumed
terrorist family . The previous examples revealed that with the correct camera movement you can
enhance feelings, and foretell them too. In specificity to these scenes, the reoccurring slanted motion
appealed to the feeling of disarray and foreshadowed the mayhem to come. While the camera
movement from one house to another depicted the wrath of the mob; proves that the cam movement
allowed the viewer to receive a better sense of what unreasonable fear the characters are feeling. Last
but definitely not least, lighting. I recognized the effectual usage of lighting as a factor in expressing
the theme of this video. To demonstrate, in the scene where neighbors ensembled in a house when the
boom went off, we can see the utilization of lighting. As I ve used this scene in previous examples, we
can tell its an important catalyst. Anyways, this scene captures the flickers and loss of lighting due to
an electrical shortage from the boom , and we can infer from people s faces that everyone is in panic
mode. For more than half of the video after the important catalyst scene, the lighting remained dull
and gloomy which resembled the darkness and

Disadvantages Of Constantine Grocery
As Constantine Grocery is growing from a small family business to a grocery store chain, the need for
raising funds has increased as a result of the expansion of the business. A preliminary study has been
conducted and the funds needed are believed to be around 135 million dollars. Our mission is to
explore the owner s options to obtain that amount of money and to recommend the best option through
demonstrating the advantages and disadvantages of each choice. 1 Issuing corporate bonds: These are
considered one of the tools used by companies to raise finance. Bonds are also considered as debt and
under there terms the borrower has to pay fixed interest, which is called coupon rate, on the loan and
repay the principal upon maturity of the debt (Choudhry, 2004). Unlike selling shares, bonds are less
risky to investors, allow business to buy back their bonds if they wanted to, and give the business the
opportunity to deduct the interest from the business s taxes (The Legal Environment and Foundations
for Business Law, 2012). The downside of issuing corporates bonds is the fact that they are loans and
they could lead the business to bankruptcy if the business is highly leveraged. In addition to that,
business has to follow the market in deciding the interest rates which increase their financial burden.
Finally, while the company still retain their ownership after issuing bonds, failing to pay interests
enables the investors to control the business through bankruptcy and they

How many people are tired of vacationing in the same DRAB place? How many people are looking
for some excitement, new experiences, and a chance to travel the world without depleting your life
savings? Cruise ships have always been a luxurious get away from the daily CLUTTER of society.
Since, the first transatlantic cruise in the 1900 s, over 1 billion passengers have set sail for the high
seas and half of those passengers are frequent ones. Today, I want to share the insider secrets to why
cruising is the best vacation ever and only an experienced cruiser would know. I m going to explain
the ins and outs of planning a cruise and the shortcuts that could save you some hassles when planning

Additionally, having a state issue ID is also important in proving your identity as well as your
residency. You should always have your passport and an ID with you when going to foreign countries
and planning a cruise. In order to even step aboard a cruise line you have to show your state ID as
well as your passport. Immigration is also a security issue all over the world. It would be an expensive
mistake to misplace your passport and ID, because you can be detained in a foreign country. Secondly,
some people assume in order to plan a luxurious cruise you need a travel agent, but truly all you need
is a destination and internet. A rule of thumb is to start planning for a cruise six months in advance and
collect as much knowledge and tips from websites that specializes in the cruise ship industry. The
internet is a vast collection of information just waiting for you to access it. You don t want to wait
until the last minute to research, because that is when careless mistakes happen and your dream cruise
should be spectacular. For this reason, you should access websites such as cruisecritic.com and cruise
reviews.com. These website have pools of knowledge that could make your cruise planning an easy
endeavor instead of a confusing one. With information about which months are the best for cruising,
to which tropical locations offer DAZZLING experiences, and to which places are experiencing

Blame For Measure, By William Shakespeare
The great Shakespeare once again presents a play of mystery, confusion, multiple weddings, and
death. Measure for Measure is another great example of the literary tools that are often used by
Shakespeare. In this play, great issues arise quickly after Claudio impregnates Juliet consensually. Of
course, the chaos did not occur until after the Duke decided to leave town and leave Angelo in charge,
as a tactic to regain strict law throughout the city. Power hungry Angelo does everything he can to
punish and use Claudio as an example to the rest of the town as to why following law is highly
important. Claudio s sister and the disguised duke come up with a plan to circumvent the ruling of
Angelo and eventually use his previous actions as blackmail. This play takes constant turns left and
right as different characters take charge of the happenings of Claudio. In the end, the duke reclaims his
chair of power and Claudio is pardoned, all because of the chance of fate. Many critics have read this
play and analyzed it for deeper meanings. One of the deepest meanings has come directly from the
play title itself. Measure for Measure by Shakespeare is named as so because of the punishment for
crimes, the measure or treatment of women, and the measure of the character s actions. Measure for
Measure by Shakespeare is titled as such because of the punishment for crimes. This first reason that
the title is named as it is can also be described as every action has a reaction. Every crime

Example Of Social Media Marketing
I am very fond of a local business called the Bubble Bistro. This young lady s business is tailored
towards body care; she sells all natural products which she hand makes. She specializes in soaps, body
oil, and body scrubs. I love the products so much that I frequent the business quite often throughout
the month. She is advertised locally mainly by word of mouth but she has a huge presence on social
media via Facebook and Instagram. The owner is very forth coming and this business is credited a
great deal with her current customer base including me. She knows her customers and I often find
myself advertising her business to anyone I know for them to check her out. She is a small business
owner but she does run sales from time to time, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(2015). Foundations of Social Media Marketing. Thousands Oaks, CA: Sage Publications, Ltd.
I think group deals are very effective for one it helps the consumer save money depending on what is
being advertised. Everyone has different taste and different needs when it comes to purchasing power
especially with social media being in the rise and influencing the way we make purchase products.
According to (Tuten and Solomon), social media open exciting new windows for marketing research.
Whether to collect insights for the discovery stage of the creative process or to gather ideas for new
product development, social media provide new tools to listen to customers as they discuss their lives,
interests, needs, and wants . I am a huge shopper on Groupon and I like that I can save money on most
name brand products I am interested in and searching for. I often wondered how are deal sights able to
utilize so many products to advertise and sell at a good price. I realize that after so long so many
companies begin to drop prices and if it does not sell like in most discounted stores they send the
product to deal sights. The biggest investment for a marketer in my opinion is to find out what is
popular, what is the consumer wanting to purchase, and what is the hottest product to market. I think
the biggest job for any company is figure out what the people want, I mean take cell phones, we all
know that right now it Apple and Samsung, we all know that everyone have different

Texas Politics Essay
Chapter 11 of the textbook, Texas Politics , it is primarily about the purpose and structure of the local
governments within the state of Texas. Texas has 254 counties, the most of any state. Each county is
governed by a five member Commissioners Court, which consists of a County Judge (elected at large)
and four Commissioners (elected from single member precincts). The County Judge has no veto
authority over the decisions of the Court, s/he has one vote along with the other Commissioners. In
smaller counties, the County Judge also performs judicial functions, while in larger counties his/her
role is limited to the Court. Elections are held on a partisan basis. Counties have no home rule
authority; their authority is strictly limited by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

be easier to keep the responsiblilities separated where each group can do their task at one hundred

Analysis Of Toni Morrison s Sula
Two young girls, coalescing on a grass laden field while lying on their stomachs, dig a hole in
unspoken harmony. A picture of youth and innocence, this scene depicts an innocuous moment which
the two girls share as a result of their juvenescence or does it? In Toni Morrison s Sula, this scene,
among others, appears at first to be both irrelevant to the novel s underlying theme and out of place
with regard to the rest of the plot. Yet, when analyzed further, the literary devices that Morrison uses
in these scenes bring readers to a vastly different conclusion. These scenes serve as windows into the
mind of Morrison and even into the larger themes present in the text. So, perhaps two girls sharing a
seemingly casual experience is not as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like the vasculature of plants shrouded by bark, innocence is shrouded and further internalized as
social influence compiles. Thus, Morrison effectively illustrates both the presence of innocence and its
inherent definition via careful diction in this scene. Additionally, the scene is illuminating because of
the timing in which Morrison introduces the idea of renewed innocence. She chooses to place it
directly before one of the most gruesome and chilling events of the novel: the death of Chicken Little.
Now, readers could wonder if she is simply juxtaposing two starkly contrasted scenarios for literary
effect. But even though the timing could be interpreted solely to as a method of juxtaposition, an
ulterior motive becomes apparent when readers inquire why the girls allow Chicken Little to die after
illuminating their innocent cores, not before. If the girls had killed Chicken Little before stripping
away the bark from the twig, the scene could be perceived as a symbol of internal cleansing and a
means of psychologically stripping themselves of guilt. But the scene precedes his drowning, possibly
indicating that their ambivalence was catalyzed by their exposed, innocent essence. Morrison portrays
such a vastly contradictory portrayal of popularized innocence in an attempt to demonstrate how
innocence may not be defined as innocuously as society defines it. However, before stating the
another significant element

Research Paper On Franz Anton Mesmer
Franz Anton Mesmer was a German physician, married a wealthy widow, and who was fascinated
with astronomy. Being that Paris, France, in the 1780s, had no censorship of ideas, it was an open
concept city, Mesmer pondered with the opportunity to share his medical methods. Franz Anton
Mesmer knew that if he took his idea of animal magnetism to Paris, he would then have more of a
prospect for people to accept, and believe what he had to say. At the time, the popular, or most
common medical practice was bleeding. Bleeding was the doctor s way of curing a patient s illness or
disease. So, for Mesmer to introduce a rival medical method was fascinating to people. To explain, the
definition of animal magnetism is a substance that connects the entire universe, and that has no

How animal magnetism works is that there is a magnetic flow throughout the whole human body, if
the flow of the magnetism is blocked, the person will become ill. The majority of Franz Anton
Mesmer s patients were unmarried, rich, young females. How Mesmer constructed his methods was to
start by removing the obstruction of the animal magnetism blockage. How Mesmer s method worked
was to bring the fingertips of the patients to his own fingertips, the patient s knees to his own. He
would then start to massage the blocked magnetism, and slowly remove the clogged animal
magnetism. The breakage of animal magnetism leads to a reaction, called a crisis. Additional people
started believing in animal magnetism, making the procedure more pronounced throughout Paris.
Since the popularity of animal magnetism was increased, Mesmer could not balance the amount of
patients he was accumulating, so he hired and trained assistants, called adepts. Soon Mesmer

  • 2. Essay Analyzing Career Theories It is simple to look at an individual s life and analyze and critique their choices based on our own opinions and experiences. Is that fair? No. We may see their actions clearly but the reasoning behind these is what we should focus on when it comes to judging someone s behavior or circumstances. A common judgment made about a person is based on their career. In our society, it would behoove us to look at the path that leads to becoming a doctor instead of a drug dealer. Application of career theories to my own life allows for analyzing past and future career decisions. Holland s Theory of Careers states that one s vocation is an expression of self, personality, and way of life. There is an indisputable and fundamental ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Finally I reached the realistic period and I began to focus my education to prepare for a medical career. As I have evolved, I find it simpler to make life changing choices. I am exceedingly more decisive than in previous years because I am more secure with my internal self and due to my experience, have the capacity to make educated decisions. TRANS Holland s Theory of Careers, while very useful, represents a societal failing. Habitually we find ourselves judging people based on their preliminary persona; however, more often than not we find out that there is much more under the surface. Many entertainers appear to be confident and outgoing, but basic psychology confirms that often their insecurities drive them to seek approval and praise from the public that comes with those careers. Ginsberg and Super s Theories of Career Development have one major flaw. This theory does not account for those individuals whom choose a career in childhood and never stray from their initial path. Whereas others come to a standstill at one stage and never complete the process. Although the ability to consistently and effectively apply both of these theories in a myriad of situations speak to their legitimacy, clearly it is necessary to seek other career theories to supplement ones conceptualization of this topic. It can be difficult to judge what stage/level/period a person may be in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay on William Morris William Morris William Morris (1834 1896) was perhaps the most important British decorative artist of the 19th century. A prolific designer, craftsman and decorator, his work and ideas have had a major influence on the development of modern interior design. William Morris was one of the most influential figures in the Victorian and Edwardian art world. As a young man at Oxford he became involved with the Pre Raphaelite movements, mixing with such artists as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Holman Hunt and Edward Coley Burne Jones. Always a man of innovation, Morris soon tired of the subject matter and philosophy of the Pre Raphaelites. His desire for social reform was also an important factor in his artistic growth and he moved on from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Instead of using a genuine shade of indigo, the design was printed in a Prussian blue, the nearest to indigo that could be achieved using modern aniline dyes. This led William Morris to speak out against the capitalist forces, which he considered had brought his industry to a very bad state. Henceforward there is an absolute divorce between the commercial process and the art of printing. Anyone wanting to produce dyed textiles with any artistic quality in them must entirely forego the modern and commercial methods in favour of those which are at least as old as Pliny... In other words, William Morris ended his connection with Clarkson (who printed the design) and abandoned production of Tulip and Willow. He also set up a tiny dye house in the basement and scullery of his house in Queen Square, hoping that he might find his own solution to the problem. In fact it was only in 1883, after he had established himself at Merton Abbey, that he was finally able to produce a satisfactory printing of Tulip and Willow. Preliminary Design Morris s intricate flower patterns, which seem so effortless and casual in their final form, were achieved after long hours of patient designing and the production of dozens of different designs. This preliminary stage was important, as Morris recognised. In a lecture called Making the Best of It , delivered in 1879, he offered these words of advice to potential designers: no amount of ... • 7. Summary Of Zooman And The Sign Since the rise of storytelling, one of the most important themes has been the conflict between good and evil. Often, a person s role in society helped the audience understand what side they were on. Princes, kings, knights, these were the good characters. Tax collectors, witches, and other villains were quite obviously evil. In modern times, we consider law enforcement officers to be on the side of good. However, whenever a character who clearly belongs to one side or the other makes an appearance, we expect them to do something. This is evidenced in that, while investigating the murder of a young girl, the police go door to door a single time canvassing for witnesses. When everyone claims that they didn t see anything, the police move on. The play suggests that this, along with picking up the usual black suspects for questioning, is about the extent of their investigation. The police don t appear to spend much time gathering evidence from the scene. They don t come back to see if anyone has remembered anything since the shock wore off. In fact, they seem to be trying to avoid the scene of the crime. It is even scarier when you think about the possible crime that might have gone along with being convicted as a sex offender. One of my favorite TV programs is Law and Order: SVU. Over the years, this show has portrayed a vast variety of heinous crimes. We as a society cringe when we think of something bad happening to our children and tend to judge before we know the full story. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This lengthy chapter is basically the Mississippi version of Megan s Law. The law discusses the fact that people convicted of a sex offense need to realize that they will lose most of their privacy. This loss of privacy is to ensure their safety and wellbeing. The sex offender registry was created to help law enforcement protect the communities where these criminals live. The Mississippi law requires that the offender registers, records their address, be fingerprinted, be photographed and sign a release regarding the information they just supplied. The law further says that the offender has to keep all this information up to date or face further penalties. The public has the option to keep up with the sex offender registry and to have the knowledge needed to help keep their family safe. The twofold plan of this law works well. • 10. Market Revolution And The Industrial Revolution The industrial revolution during the 19th Century led to the rapid expanse of cotton production in America. Several new inventions began to be used which could more efficiently use cotton and other similar materials to aid in the production of textiles. During that time, the textile industry was big and the demand for cotton continued to grow however the price of cotton never increased to match the demand. Slaves were taken advantage of and because their labor was so cheap it was beneficial to slave owners to collect cotton using slave labor and trade the cotton for a profit. Great Britain was the worlds most powerful country and a large part of that countries industrial life was cotton textiles. America became Britain s biggest trade partner for cotton and the increase in trade allowed America to build on its own and gain a bigger variety of goods through trade. The cotton industry was one of the biggest influences of America s growth in the 19th Century and slave labor was used to ensure its expansion could continue throughout the years. Mass production was a major technological achievement all over the world especially in newly developing areas. Factory jobs were becoming wildly available and the demand for the materials used in these factories increased exponentially. The southern states were more focused on gaining profit through agriculture, however the tobacco economy in these states was beginning to fail. • 14. Analysis Of Etgar Keret sWhat Of This Goldfish Would You... It is usually a challenge to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea. Ordinarily, one has to consider one s values as well as preferred consequences in order to make the better or best choice. In the short story, What of This Goldfish, Would You Wish? by Etgar Keret, Sergei Goralick faced a similar conundrum. As an aloof Russian expatriate fisherman in Jaffa, Israel, his only company is a magic three wish granting fish. But having impulsively murdered Yonatan, Goralick had to decide whether to use his last wish to save the boy or keep his magic goldfish companion. Though he would have preferred the latter, Goralick made the better choice saving Yonatan as it matches his established humaneness and the consequences attached were more reasonable. Before he arrived at this decision, Gorelick considered covering up the murder to keep the fish. He said, Fixable... I ll just mop up the blood... When I m fishing,...I ll tie the kid to a rock and dump him in the sea. Not a chance, not in a million years, will anyone ever find him. ( lines 164 171) His stubbornness started surfacing, obstructing his sound reasoning. Goralick tried to find excuses in order not to use his last wish. For example, he said that he was saving it for something important.Goralick was ambivalent.Whilst suggesting this, he forgot how scared he was to even touch Yonatan s blood(lines 124 127). That along with his statement, He can t be dead (110 113) proves that had he chosen otherwise, Goralick would have suffered from guilt. In fact, even the goldfish asserted, You killed him, Sergei, ... but you re not a murderer. ... If, on this, you won t waste a wish, then tell me, Sergei, what is it good for? Though what immediately happened after this question was skipped, one can infer that Sergei thought thoroughly during that time. He rightfully chose to save Yonatan. His actions such the uses of his first two wishes reveal his character traits. When he heard of the critical conditions of his sister and Sveta s boy respectively, he did not hesitate to use his first two wishes to save them respectively. Even in the opening line there is conflict friendly bombs is a contradiction in terms, as bombs are almost never thought of as friendly, and Betjeman s use of this defines what a bad place. Another tool Betjeman employs is rhythm; the stanza is at a steady, predefined pace until the last line where the rhythm is broken with the word Death , which gives a powerful image of Slough. Every line in the next stanza opens with And , which makes it seem rather like a list, a list of the poet s demands. Indeed the entire stanza is simply stating things which he demands be done to this man. The poem changes tack after this: it speaks of sparing clerks. There is tension simply in using the description bald young . The rhythm again breaks at the harsh phrase They ve tasted Hell . The next two stanzas continue the description of these bald young clerks . There is a comparison between birdsong and the radio , two things which would generally be contrasted. In the last two lines Betjeman introduces a wonderful tranquil image of looking up and seeing the stars, but then dispels it with the disgusting line But belch instead . The ninth stanza is a bit like a throwback to the canned breath it speaks of chemicals and synthetic things. It discusses peroxide hair and painting nails, poking fun at them. On the other side of this gate lurked various vicious animals and gladiators. These Catholic individuals were about to be slaughtered for their faith. They were indeed anxious loved ones said their final good byes, friends gave one another their final farewells. However anxious, they were ready. They were prepared to unite their suffering to the cross of Jesus Christ. An old man walked up to a young adult who only just converted to Christianity, who then found himself ... The Catholic Church follows this practice today in remembrance of the abuse of the first Christians, and speaks the same words as a reminder of our own duty to follow Christ wherever he may lead us even into martyrdom. Examples like these inspire the tepid and challenge the complacent. But no religion can flourish, nor can it provide invaluable sustenance in the form of spiritual nourishment, if it is constantly and consistently oppressed. Religious freedom is essential to the existence of the Catholic Church and any other church for it to perform its proper and full function; no faith can lead individuals to the ultimate wellspring of life God without the ability to freely expand and come to such individuals. And even more than that, religious freedom brings, to every nation that protects it, an invaluable character and people that allow a nation to thrive. Religious Freedom diversifies societies, making them more culturally diverse, and thus more economically and politically adaptable and sustainable; substantiates a given nation s moral base, which will prevent cultural regression and degeneration; and encourages individuals to pursue lives of sainthood and righteousness that would otherwise be discouraged and disdained by an oppressive state. The Outsiders By Francis Ford Coppola The Outsiders a film directed by Francis Ford Coppola s in the 1980s is about two social groups of teenagers who happens to live in the same town and attends the same high school. Although both two social groups live in the same vicinity, they live a completely different life. A group identified as the South Side Socials (aka socs ), are the upper class teenagers, while the Greasers, are the less fortunate kids, who just so happen to live on the wrong side of town. These two social groups have had a conflict against one another for several years, but on one specific evening, this rivalry turns deadly as one of the greasers, Johnny, stabs and murders a socs. Due to the passing of one of the Socs, the Socs tried to avenge the death of their friend, while the greasers tried to get the town to comprehend that the Socs were also at fault during that conflict. The Outsider is an exceptional film depicting how social groups can explain our behavior, and how deviance and crime are observed in relation to our social group. A social group is defined as a group of two or more people who interact frequently with one another, shares a portion sense of belonging and have a sensation of interdependence. As seen in the film, both the Socs and the greasers care deeply for each associate of the corresponding group. Towards the end of the film, as Johnny is being hospitalized for severe burns, Pony Boy expresses himself by stating the fact that things would be different if he pass away. ... • 29. The Role Of Aristocratic Women In The Tudor Period When looking at much of Tudor History especially at the earlier reigns of Henry VII and his successor Henry VIII many historians have neglected to explore the agency of women in this period. More specifically the agency of women in the aristocracy is something that can be heavily debated. Aristocratic women in the Tudor period while often presented as side actors who get acted upon are were actually dynamic individuals who forged their own paths. When looking at these women it is important to analyze it in terms of their religion, family, and social position. Through much of my research I found that these dynamic women had complex motives and reasoning behind most of their actions. It is also important to note that many of these women who did not always have the agency they wanted were being constrained by either their wealth, family, or social position. The day to day and struggles of an aristocratic women s early life greatly deferred from those of the more common women and for this reason the case of their agency is wholly different. When analyzing the autonomy of aristocratic women of the Tudor period it is impossible to overlook Anne Boleyn and her rise and fall to power. It is important to analyze how her family the Boleyn s as well as the Howards shaped her life but also the way she shaped theirs. Some historians say that you can t look at Anne as an example as the agency of an aristocratic women because she was queen of England. This is not necessarily true as she ... When comparing this data against each other there is a disproportionate over representation of minorities in prison when comparing to the United States population. This leads to the sad conclusion that when it comes to the criminal justice system, race is still a factor in the law. The criminalization minorities tends to favor those that are of lighter skin with Asians and Whites getting incarcerated at lower percentages with the Model Minority myth helping in this process with the Asian inmates. The camera movement from one side of the street to the unknown neighbor s house illustrated how unwilling they were to listen to Will s reasoning yet determined to inflict violence upon a presumed terrorist family . The previous examples revealed that with the correct camera movement you can enhance feelings, and foretell them too. In specificity to these scenes, the reoccurring slanted motion appealed to the feeling of disarray and foreshadowed the mayhem to come. While the camera movement from one house to another depicted the wrath of the mob; proves that the cam movement allowed the viewer to receive a better sense of what unreasonable fear the characters are feeling. Last but definitely not least, lighting. I recognized the effectual usage of lighting as a factor in expressing the theme of this video. To demonstrate, in the scene where neighbors ensembled in a house when the boom went off, we can see the utilization of lighting. As I ve used this scene in previous examples, we can tell its an important catalyst. Anyways, this scene captures the flickers and loss of lighting due to an electrical shortage from the boom , and we can infer from people s faces that everyone is in panic mode. For more than half of the video after the important catalyst scene, the lighting remained dull and gloomy which resembled the darkness and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A preliminary study has been conducted and the funds needed are believed to be around 135 million dollars. Our mission is to explore the owner s options to obtain that amount of money and to recommend the best option through demonstrating the advantages and disadvantages of each choice. 1 Issuing corporate bonds: These are considered one of the tools used by companies to raise finance. Bonds are also considered as debt and under there terms the borrower has to pay fixed interest, which is called coupon rate, on the loan and repay the principal upon maturity of the debt (Choudhry, 2004). Unlike selling shares, bonds are less risky to investors, allow business to buy back their bonds if they wanted to, and give the business the opportunity to deduct the interest from the business s taxes (The Legal Environment and Foundations for Business Law, 2012). The downside of issuing corporates bonds is the fact that they are loans and they could lead the business to bankruptcy if the business is highly leveraged. In addition to that, business has to follow the market in deciding the interest rates which increase their financial burden. • 43. Blame For Measure, By William Shakespeare The great Shakespeare once again presents a play of mystery, confusion, multiple weddings, and death. Measure for Measure is another great example of the literary tools that are often used by Shakespeare. In this play, great issues arise quickly after Claudio impregnates Juliet consensually. Of course, the chaos did not occur until after the Duke decided to leave town and leave Angelo in charge, as a tactic to regain strict law throughout the city. Power hungry Angelo does everything he can to punish and use Claudio as an example to the rest of the town as to why following law is highly important. Claudio s sister and the disguised duke come up with a plan to circumvent the ruling of Angelo and eventually use his previous actions as blackmail. This play takes constant turns left and right as different characters take charge of the happenings of Claudio. In the end, the duke reclaims his chair of power and Claudio is pardoned, all because of the chance of fate. Many critics have read this play and analyzed it for deeper meanings. One of the deepest meanings has come directly from the play title itself. Measure for Measure by Shakespeare is named as so because of the punishment for crimes, the measure or treatment of women, and the measure of the character s actions. Measure for Measure by Shakespeare is titled as such because of the punishment for crimes. This first reason that the title is named as it is can also be described as every action has a reaction. • 46. Analysis Of Toni Morrison s Sula Two young girls, coalescing on a grass laden field while lying on their stomachs, dig a hole in unspoken harmony. A picture of youth and innocence, this scene depicts an innocuous moment which the two girls share as a result of their juvenescence or does it? In Toni Morrison s Sula, this scene, among others, appears at first to be both irrelevant to the novel s underlying theme and out of place with regard to the rest of the plot. Yet, when analyzed further, the literary devices that Morrison uses in these scenes bring readers to a vastly different conclusion. These scenes serve as windows into the mind of Morrison and even into the larger themes present in the text. So, perhaps two girls sharing a seemingly casual experience is not as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Like the vasculature of plants shrouded by bark, innocence is shrouded and further internalized as social influence compiles. Thus, Morrison effectively illustrates both the presence of innocence and its inherent definition via careful diction in this scene. Additionally, the scene is illuminating because of the timing in which Morrison introduces the idea of renewed innocence. She chooses to place it directly before one of the most gruesome and chilling events of the novel: the death of Chicken Little. Now, readers could wonder if she is simply juxtaposing two starkly contrasted scenarios for literary effect. But even though the timing could be interpreted solely to as a method of juxtaposition, an ulterior motive becomes apparent when readers inquire why the girls allow Chicken Little to die after illuminating their innocent cores, not before. If the girls had killed Chicken Little before stripping away the bark from the twig, the scene could be perceived as a symbol of internal cleansing and a means of psychologically stripping themselves of guilt. But the scene precedes his drowning, possibly indicating that their ambivalence was catalyzed by their exposed, innocent essence. Morrison portrays such a vastly contradictory portrayal of popularized innocence in an attempt to demonstrate how innocence may not be defined as innocuously as society defines it. However, before stating the another significant element ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Being that Paris, France, in the 1780s, had no censorship of ideas, it was an open concept city, Mesmer pondered with the opportunity to share his medical methods. Franz Anton Mesmer knew that if he took his idea of animal magnetism to Paris, he would then have more of a prospect for people to accept, and believe what he had to say. At the time, the popular, or most common medical practice was bleeding. Bleeding was the doctor s way of curing a patient s illness or disease. How Mesmer s method worked was to bring the fingertips of the patients to his own fingertips, the patient s knees to his own. He would then start to massage the blocked magnetism, and slowly remove the clogged animal magnetism. The breakage of animal magnetism leads to a reaction, called a crisis. Additional people started believing in animal magnetism, making the procedure more pronounced throughout Paris.
