 Diversity in the workplace refers to differences we
recognise in ourselves and others , such as : gender ,
culture , race , ethnicity , age , religion , sexual orientation ,
family structure , physical and mental disabilities or
challenges .
IMPORTANCE OF MANAGING DIVERSITY ?
 Well managed diverse teams out perform homogeneous teams and vice versa
.
 Reputation in the market and attract employees
 Employees who feel valued and rewarded are more engaged and motivated .
 Greater employee engagement lead to lower turnover rate .
