Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Implementation Methodology B...Waqas Tariq
This paper is intended to cover the concept of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 and how to implement it in order to increase the efficiency of any Egyptian IT corporate and to help the corporate employees to do their work easily and its clients to feel the quality of services provided to them. ITIL is considered now as the de facto standard for IT Service Management (ITSM) in organizations which operate their business based on IT infrastructure and services. ITIL v3 was implemented in western organizations but still it is a new framework for the Egyptian and Arabian environment. The best proof of the lack of ITSM in the Arab region and not Egypt alone is that the percentage of the companies which have ISO/IEC 20000 are less than 2% of the total certified companies in the whole world and in Egypt no company has it until now as stated on APMG ISO/IEC 20000 website[1]. Accordingly this paper investigates an implementation methodology of ITIL in an Egyptian organization taking into consideration the cultural factors and how it will affect the success of this implementation. We have already implemented this methodology in three Egyptian companies and it succeeded to increase the level of process maturity from level one to level four according the PMF

What Every Project Manager Should Know About ItilDaniel Cayouette
This presentation will provide a high-level view of ITIL and will identify where the ITIL Service Lifecycle Framework and the PMBOK Guide complement each other.
Understanding of ITIL will help the IT project manager over the lifecycle of their projects, from defining a better project charter focused on IT services to a smoother transition to operations and an increased satisfaction of all stakeholders.
The role of an IT PMO as the Voice of IT and its role with Service Level Management will also be discussed as a key enabler to align IT to the business.
As we head into a new year, one thing is for sure, the world of technology and IT will continue to evolve and be disrupted at a frightening pace. The role of the modern IT organisation will thus need to adapt and be agile in order to keep pace with this changing landscape and to continue to be valuable to the organisations that they service. As IT estates become more complex, internal IT functions will need to become more mature and efficient in the way they operate in order to be perceived as a valued asset to the business. The release of IT4IT at the end of last year provides an interesting and potentially highly valuable reference architecture for IT organisations to use to help achieve this level of maturity and efficiency.
The IT4IT standard has really started to pick up momentum as we start 2016 and it is great to see the increase in the membership of the IT4IT forum as well as the general interest that is being seen in the industry for this new standard. I recently co-presented a webinar in collaboration with the Open Group where we looked at the potential real-world application and benefits that IT4IT can offer. Mandate and mindset will be critical to the successful use of IT4IT but I am confident that this approach has the potential to be very beneficial for many organisations as the role of the IT function continues to be redefined.
When a company invests in ITIL, very often Architecture is not much involved: this is a mistake because there is much overlap, and Architecture can end up side-lined by the ITIL juggernaut. But there are a lot of benefits Architecture can bring to an ITIL-oriented organization.
This slide deck goes a step or two further than the white-papers out there I've found to date in providing some concrete guidance on how to actually integrate Architecture activities into ITIL. The deck uses TOGAF as the reference framework, but the concepts can be applied to any modern Architecture practice, since the discussion focuses on the types of deliverables and activities, which analogously exist in most frameworks.

It is well known that an effective PMO is key to successful and efficient program and project execution. In other words, doing things “right”. Enterprise Architecture is the discipline that plans and monitors enterprise transformation and aligns the business strategy with information technology capabilities. In other words, doing the “right things” to support the business.
Why is it organizations despite having both of these disciplines still struggle with effective enterprise transformation? What can we done to use these disciplines more effectively to effect better business outcomes? What are the roles of each discipline and how do they work together to create business value?
In this presentation, Riaz will address these questions and will provide real life examples that can help build a strong relationship between the PMO and Enterprise Architecture.
Learning Objectives:
• How to build a strong relationship between the PMO and Enterprise Architecture (EA) to deliver positive outcomes for your organization
• Identify the different roles and functions of the PMO and EA as well as their similarities
The modern IT stack has become diverse and distributed, and it’s increasingly challenging to manage heterogeneous platforms and multi-vendor devices. Customers are looking to the cloud and APM to help address these hurdles, as well as accelerate IT transformation.
But migrating to the cloud will take time, it won’t make infrastructure ‘just disappear’, and legacy workloads are going to remain part of the enterprise reality for many. In addition, while APM will continue to be increasingly important, all applications are not the same and an application is still not equal to a digital business service.
Watch this webinar as John Worthington, a service management expert and Director of Product Marketing for eG Innovations, continues our Shift-Left series. You can learn:
• Why domain expertise is important when defining monitoring requirements
• What analytics are useful from a monitoring and observability context
• How end-to-end monitoring with converged application and infrastructure performance can drive ITSM and DevOps integration

Product Management in The Trenches for a Cloud ServiceNUS-ISS
More often than not, people’s perception of Product Management is usually centred around the definition, management and prioritisation of software features and functionality. While that is largely true, it is also one of many things that a Product Manager needs to focus on, given limited time and resources.
This session aims to provide an unfiltered view of how Product Management looks like in the context of Enterprise Cloud Applications development, the challenges confronting Product Managers, and the tradeoff decisions to be made in order to overcome these challenges.
All this, while shipping a working product with each release that will surprise and delight the end user.
Overview of Data and Analytics Essentials and FoundationsNUS-ISS
As companies increasingly integrate data across functions, the boundaries between marketing, sales and operations have been blurring. This allows them to find new opportunities that arise by aligning and integrating the activities of supply and demand to improve commercial effectiveness. Instead of conducting post-hoc analyses that allow them to correct future actions, companies generate and analyze data in near real-time and adjust their operations processes dynamically. Transitioning from static analytics outputs to more dynamic contextualized insights means analytics can be delivered with increased relevance closer to the point of decision.
This talk will cover the analytics journey from descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to derive actionable and timely insights to improve customer experience to drive marketing, salesforce and operations excellence.
With the use of Predictive Analytics, companies are able to predict future trends based on existing available data. The actionable business predictions can help companies achieve cost savings, higher revenue, better resource allocation and efficiency. Predictive analytics has been used in various sectors such as banking & finance, sales & marketing, logistics, retail, healthcare, F&B, etc. for various purposes.
Get set to learn more about the different stages of predictive analytics modelling such as data collection & preparation, model development & evaluation metrics, and model deployment considerations will be discussed.
In this digital transformation era, we have seen the rise of digital platforms and increased usages of devices particularly in the area of wearables and the Internet of Things (IoT). Given the fast pace change to the IoT landscape and devices, data has become one of the important source of truth for analytics and continuous streaming of data from sensors have also emerged as one of the fuel that revolutionise the emergence of IoT. These includes health telematics, vehicle telematics, predictive maintenance of equipment, manufacturing quality management, consumer behaviour, and more. With this, we will give you an introduction on how to leverage the power of data science and machine learning to understand and explore feature engineering of IoT and sensor data.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
