Book Report On Isaac s Storm

Isaac s Storm Book Review
Isaac s Storm, is a tale of self confidence. This Hurricane in 1900 in Galveston was the worst and
deadliest hurricane this country has ever seen. About 6,000 people lost their lives and among those
who died was Isaac Cline s wife. I can tell how guilty he must have felt and how horrific this time was
for Cline, especially because he thought a massive storm could never devastate his amazing city. The
horrific events of what happened in Galveston is only partially told in this book. Erik Larson s use of
Cline s own letters and reports show Cline s own self confidence or pride and falsifies facts that Cline
was the hero he believed himself to be after the Storm surfaced. Isaac s Storm clearly shows what can
happen when human arrogance takes priority over anything else. ... Show more content on

With the floodwaters lapping at the walls, he remained in denial. Isaac Cline along with a few of the
people who worked with him, convinced themselves that the storms out of the Caribbean would move
the opposite way. Cline agreed with Matthew Fontaine Maury an oceanographer, that the region would
not get the storm surges. To ignore the signs of the storm s size and intensity was the ultimate sign of
arrogance. The National Weather Service didn t want to create fear, but they should have been scared
or a little more concerned, since other parts of the United States experienced major disasters before.
Not as major as this time obviously, thus the reaction nonchalant

Descartes Claim Of The Universe
How Fix a Universe That is Nothing but Paradoxes
Descartes claim of I think, therefore I am , is an attempt to establish a firm foundation for the
understanding of the universe and explores the ideas of the self and what we can know to be real.
However, there is one major flaw in this approach. That flaw is how we are to create this foundation
when before it we had nothing and the paradoxes in the creating definitions of words.
His goal is to better understand what he is in order to reestablish the foundations of his understanding
of the world around him. This is a normal human behavior to explore the unknown or not well
understood. Any explorer that sails the ocean in search of new land may know what land is but new
land that was unknown to him/her is a satisfying development in the person s understanding of
everything that is real. The modern practice of this behavior includes, but not limited to, an
astronomer using space telescopes to look deep into space where light from an ancient universe is
arriving at earth or an experimental physicist when smashing particles together in hopes to find new
and smaller part that makes up the fundamental building blocks of the universe. Descartes hopes to
use his logical process to reveal the fundamental building blocks of the universe that humans can exist
in. He also wants to create a fundamental understanding of the way to observe the universe that we
can perceive with the limited senses that we have. He uses this logical

The Importance of Homework Essay
Students spend hours doing it, teachers spend hours checking it. Homework is sometimes a burden to
teachers and students but still it is necessary. Some people doubt homework s effectiveness, but
teachers and researchers agree homework is essential. Homework helps students get better grades in
school.
Some people don t know exactly what homework is. Homework is defined as an out of class activity
assigned to students as an extension or elaboration of classroom work(KidSource). There are three
types of homework teachers generally give out. The first is Practice assignments, they are assignments
that reinforce newly acquired skills or knowledge(KidSource). An example of these assignments is

Parents, students, and teachers all sometimes wonder how useful is homework? Though studies
examining the relationship between homework and school achievement have been inclusive(ERIC).
Still many teachers and researchers still agree that homework helps students achieve higher grades in
school. Schools that assigned homework frequently showed higher student achievement than schools
that assigned little homework(ERIC). This means that homework is working. Studies have generally
found that if teachers carefully plan homework, homework can be quite helpful(KidSource).
Homework has proven its effectiveness and is a very powerful factor in student performance.
Students should only spend enough time on homework so that the subject is reinforced and not just a
waste of time. The national PTA suggest that from K 3 grades there should be no more than 20
minutes a day, for 4 6 grades there should be 20 40 minutes of homework, and from 7 12 grades time
varies do to types of subjects and number of subjects taken(KidSource). Anymore than these
recommended amount of times is seen excessive by the national PTA. Surprisingly U.S. students are
working as hard as Asians: 24% of eighth graders do more then two hour of homework compared to
Japans 28% and Germanys 17%(Brimelow108). Are we working to hard, researchers don t think so,
U.S. student grades are improving. As of 1996 one in every sixth grader does more than an hour of

American outlaw country music singer, David Allen Coe once stated, it is not the beauty of a building
you should look at; it s the construction of the foundation that will stand the test of time. Many
colleges and universities across the country have famous and iconic landmarks which hold years of
history. Cistern Yard, the most iconic College of Charleston land mark is home to more than 200 years
of history, and has been the roots of the school since its founding in 1770. While the school itself is

Japan During The Meiji Period
From the early to mid 1800s, the United States expanded rapidly. With this expansion, the United
States sought out new areas for trade commerce. With Britain and other countries heavily involved in
China, the U.S. searched for another of trade within the region. President Millard Fillmore dispatched
Commodore Matthew C. Perry with a letter demanding Japan to open their ports for commerce. Upon
the first arrival, Americans were great with a completely new experience for people. Some people
considered found the Japanese s culture to be repulsive while others were very fascinated. This paper
discusses the experiences of two Americans who visited Japan during the Meiji Period compared to
initial experiences. There were numerous reasons why the United States had an interest in forming
diplomatic relations with Japan. The opening of China s ports for commerce along with the new
acquisition of a California made the United States want to expand its influence in the world. One of
the most abundant resources needed was coal. With steam ships replacing sailing ships, the United
States had to establish a coaling station for refuel. With the heavy influence of the British over in
China, Japan made for the perfect geographic location. America was involved in whaling for their oil.
Prior to Commodore s Expedition to Japan, there were preconceptions of the type of people they were.
American sailors left stranded on the island of Japan were typically imprisoned. This inhumane

The Importance Of Transitioning To College
Thinking about the future can be nerve wracking and even somewhat intimidating. Transitioning from
a school where everyone knows their peers and has an overall routine to a place that is all new can be
difficult for many, especially in the beginning. However, by taking mentally challenging classes in
high school, as well as planning for what lies ahead, it has been said to be a much easier transition.
There are countless paths one can take after senior year, allowing individuals to make one of the most
important decisions of their lives; thus preparing them for adulthood and independence. Nonetheless,
even with all of these options and the considerable amount of time I have left in my high school
career, I have decided on going to college. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Good writing skills are crucial for my future plans because of college applications, essays, and even
lab reports. Although UW Madison is my top choice, I am not automatically guaranteed in. I will need
to write two essays for my application, which is probably the most important section. Furthermore,
since papers and essays are usually worth a lot of points, I will need to continue practicing writing
throughout high school so my grades won t drop both now and in the future. Likewise, since I am
going into the science field, I will need to write a lot of lab reports. However, my reports won t be
successful if they aren t thorough and clear; therefore, I must learn how to improve my writing skills
as well as be able to retain these new skills.
Ever since I started preschool, I have been preparing for graduation. I have learned many skills and
even some useless information that made me curious about the world, which is why I care so much
about school today. All these years of schooling, which has provided both academic as well as social
improvements, has helped me construct the characteristics I now possess. These qualities, as well as
continually learning by trial and error, are what will make me the successful individual I wish to be. I

History Of The Pittsburgh Homestead Grays
Some people may think that the Pittsburgh Pirates were the only team to play in Pittsburgh, but that is
not true. The Pittsburgh Homestead Grays and the Pittsburgh Crawfords were the two Negro League
teams. The Homestead Grays started in 1912. The Grays played independently until they became a
part of the American Negro League in 1929. They only spent one season in the American Negro
League and were independent again until 1932. In 1932, the Grays joined the East West League. The
East West League only lasted that season. After a few more years of being independent, the Grays then
joined the National Negro League. This league lasted the rest of the thirteen years of the Grays. The
Grays were one of the most successful Negro League teams ever. The team acquired nine league titles,
and three Negro League World Series titles. The team s final season was in 1950 ( Baseball History ).

The Use Of Ester Interchange Reactions During The...
PRODUCTION OF PET
We utilize the rapidity of ester interchange reactions during the production process. The acid
(terephthalic acid) is converted to the dimethyl ester, which is further purified by distillation or
crystallization. This is then allowed to react with the glycol by ester interchange. The reaction
generally is a two step reaction a. First, low MW polyester is made with excess of glycol to ensure that
the hydroxyl end groups are formed and then the temperature is raised and pressure is decreased to
facilitate condensation of these molecules by ester interchange simultaneously with the loss of glycol.
[7]
PET resins can be produced in two ways commercially. These two ways are by using one among
dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) or terephthalic acid (TPA) with Ethylene Glycol (EG). These processes
are generally known as the DMT Process and the TPA process. The intermediate bis (2 hydroxyethyl)
terephthalate monomer (BHET) is produced in both these processes. This is accompanied by methanol
when using DMT and water when using TPA. The BHET intermediate formed is polymerized with
heat and catalyst to produce PET resins. The older route is the DMT process. [8]
Process using DMT [9]
It is a two step process. The ratio of DMT to EG is generally 2:1. There is the possibility of using
either batch operation or continuous operations to produce PET using DMT. Some basic differences
between the batch operation and continuous operations:
In the continuous process the

Speech Distracting Essay
In the informative speech, I didn t many things that were admired and distracting during the speech,
and I hope to improve on those distracting interrupting acts on my next speech. During the speech, I
did some items that were a little distracting through the speech. As I watched my speech I noticed I
had some awkward pauses, bad transitions, some um s, and a little stuttering throughout the speech. If
you look at the speech I tend to stutter which is a little distracting. Talking about the festival Diwali I
talk about Rangoli and its colored pattern I stutter and forget what I am explaining. Another thing I
could improve on is my transitions when hearing the speech, the transitions are a little rough and not
as smooth. During the transition when I switch from talking about the celebrations to the language I
say, with all these celebrations it tends to bring many religions and languages together doesn t really
make sense and could be spoken a little smoother. Stuttering is also a part of the speech I did during
the speech which distracting. Throughout the speech, I stutter during different parts and one of those
parts being when I am talking about the different traditions when eating Indian food. I say, some of the
traditions when people eat in India are well we all we eat on our hands, which is a little annoying.
During the speech, I also said um s during the speech. When citing my source on languages I said
some ums, repeating the citation from the notecard. During the speech I had a little tough time with
stuttering at moments, saying some um s, bad transitions, and some pauses in the future I tend to
improve it for the next speech. During the speech, I was also a good speaker in many ways. I had a
good voice projection, my hand moment was consistent, I was always facing the audience and held
eye contact, and had facial expressions to emphasize the importance of a topic. Right off the bat when
I was explaining my citation saying According to the U.S Census Bureau there are alone 5.7% Asian s

numbers. Another thing I did well during the speech was, that I kept eye contact with everyone during

Essay on College Athletes Should Get Paid
Pay for Play Today, sports are no longer fun and games, sports are a business, and college sports are
no different. Division I college sports provide a huge source of universities income. The school
receives money from ticket sales, television contracts, and sport related merchandise, along with many
other sports related revenue builders. The athletes on the other hand, receive their scholarship and
little more. While the idea of receiving a free college education is something few would complain
about; when the issue is more closely examined it becomes evident that it is not enough. Universities
are exploiting athletes, and recently the problems that this creates have become more prominent. More
and more athletes are now leaving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another major argument for not compensating college athletes is the fact that we have never done so
in the past. Also, at a time of economic crisis, most Universities have other things to worry about,
especially because there is no system in place currently that allows student athletes to receive money.
The comparison of what student athletes get versus what they give makes it very obvious that they are
exploited. Many of the athletes receive their education free, which can range from about $10,000 to
more than $40,000 a year. However, college programs generate thousands more off of the athlete.
Recently, the University of Notre Dame signed a five season 38 million dollar contract with NBC for
its home football games (Wulf 94). If there were 100 full scholarship football players for Notre Dame,
that would equal $380,000 per player just from the TV revenues, when the limit of scholarships is
usually around eighty. This does not even take into account the ticket revenues, championship or bowl
game payouts, and merchandise sold because of the players. Notre Dame is not the only school
making million dollar deals like this one. The NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) makes
approximately 242 million dollars off of TV revenues each year, and that number shouldn t do
anything but rise (Bruinius 1). When college athletes only receive a scholarship usually somewhere in

The Art Of Activism In Art
Activists make their messages and movements known through art in order to express messages,
validate identities, and to make struggles known, calling themselves ARTivists to show that there is an
often undervalued intersection between the two. But before the coining of the term, activists have been
creating art to advance themselves and their communities. ARTivists within the Chicano community
have especially been creating art in order to validate and record their own experiences. ARTivism is
crucial in today s society and culture as it intersects art and politics in order to emphasize injustices
that are deeply rooted within these structures. By decolonizing and deconstructing exploitive
structures, ARTivists liberate the oppressed while creating a more socially conscious future by
allowing the oppressed to create their own voice and tell their own stories. ARTivism dismantles the
idea of art for art s sake by giving a meaning to art. It exposes truths that become hidden or are erased
by social structures, which oppresses the people who live out those truths. Portraying activism through
this medium allows for people to connect in a creative way as art is able to speak volumes for those
who do not have a voice to speak out against injustices against them. During the time of Cesar Chavez
and the United Farm Workers, Chicano farm workers created a movement to fight for better wages
and working conditions in the fields they worked. In addition to protesting, they utilized

Pros And Cons Of Cremation
Cremation has been used though the ages as a method used by men to accomplish the disposition of
human remains. First made popular by the Greeks as it meant setting the soul free, it has been banned
as taboo by many but still today it rates its most popular status yet. In America the last taken statistic
was between 32 and 40 who favored cremation as an alternative to a burial. This number has quickly
risen from a mere 5 percent in 1972, and not without cause. Today we will be talking about cremation

Now that we know well what cremation is lets get into some things surrounding it.
The Pros There are many pros to choosing cremation, things that vary and have credible value. First
lets talk about how inexpensive it can be compared to a burial. The average cost of cremation in the
U.S is somewhere between 800 and 3000 dollars. This varies greatly by state and can have many
factors such as who is picking up the body, if you are going through a funeral home, do you want to
have a viewing ( if so you might need to have the body embalmed which would add a cost) ect.
The average cost of a burial is somewhere between 6000 and 12000 dollars also varying in many
places. Sometimes just having a less expensive option can make a lot of difference depending on the
families individual situation. Other advantages include having a more portable form a lost family
member. Something you can take with you should you choose to move or want to even scatter the
ashes in a way which honors the deceased. Some might argue that is proves more eco friendly than
burials, taking less space in the ground and with the use of less chemicals. The Cons
Like all things there are positives and there are the negatives too. Some including not having the
option of a second autopsy should the deceased have had a suspicious cause of death. Some might also
argue that cremation is not so eco friendly either with the gases being released into the air holding
chemicals such as mercury,

Reflection On Student Learning
Written Reflection #2
As a teacher, our responsibility is to plan effective lessons for our students to learn from. Although,
the hardest part of being a teacher is grasping the student s motivation to learn. Therefore, the
educational philosophers Borich and Wong have different approaches to make us effective teachers
motivate our students to learn new and exciting teachings. These different methods may include a
wide range of how teachers run their classrooms, or what specific standards are being targeted, and
maybe even how effective their planning techniques are. Not to mention, students may also expect
positive expectations from the teacher and ways to help them succeed. On the other note, inviting
students to learn may be easier than thought, in which may result in positive student behavior. Thus,
my opinion of what Borich and Wong have to say about student learning is very beneficial to me so,
that one day I may use their techniques in my very own classroom.
In chapter 4, in the Borich text book he clarifies the different ways to manage a classroom through
three different systems called humanist tradition, applied behavior analysis, and classroom
management tradition. A subdivision topic under the humanist tradition mentions cooperative learning
has proven statistics to gain student learning rather than whole group instruction. Borich clearly states
that students tend to be bored , frustrated , and disruptive when being taught in whole group
instruction (Borich

Oncology Career Essay
A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. Joseph Campbell.
The medical specialty in which I have chosen to dedicate this essay is the field of Oncology. I have
chosen to begin with the quote above because I feel that it describes the true identity of an oncologist.
I admire the strength and endurance it takes for them to deal with such a life changing disease every
day.
The field of oncology has three major areas: medical, surgical, and radiation. Once a patient has been
diagnosed with cancer, they are referred to a medical oncologist. The oncologist will begin by
explaining in detail the diagnosis and stage. Next, the oncologist will explain all relevant treatment
options, giving their professional opinion in which will bring about the best results for the patient.
They will also help the patient to manage cancer related pain and other symptoms, and will do their
best to control treatment related side effects ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to complete the MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test), and should then apply to a medical school

when they will explore the different fields of oncology and choose their sub specialty. Next, they will
go on to pursue a fellowship in the sub specialty they have chosen, leading to the final step, which is
to obtain a license and become board certified. Most oncologists start their careers in hospitals, and

Using The Qualtrics Survey System Essay
There was a total of 236 participants in this survey, 173 of them being female (as shown in Table 1).
The survey was distributed through various social media outlets, including: Facebook, Group Me,
Twitter, email, and other online sites. The survey was intended for University of Pittsburgh
undergraduate students, but due to being posted on social media, there is a possibility our survey was
taken by students at other universities. We originally had 313 participants, but 77 were excluded due
to their failure to complete the quality check question, or because they did not fully complete the
survey by not giving us their year in school information. Materials and Procedure
Our survey was created using the Qualtrics survey system. Participants needed access to a smart
phone or computer with internet access to complete the survey. We gave the participants paragraphs
about either a sociology major named James or Jane, or an engineering major named James or Jane.
The conditions, which paragraph the student read, were randomly assigned to them but the questions
were identical and in the same order for every participant. After reading the paragraph they were asked
to rate how much they agreed with statements about the student. A 5 point Likert scale was used,
where 1 was strongly disagree and 5 was strongly agree. The statements given to the participants were
if the student had good work ethic, was naturally smart, and was going to continue their education post
graduation. There was

Sharia Law And Islamic Law
Sharia, also called Sharia Law or Islamic Law, is a religious law forming part of the Islamic tradition,
and it is derived from the religious precepts of Islam. Despite of the fact that Sharia oppresses women
and restrict their human rights, a lot of Muslims still think of Sharia very positively. In order to know
why, one needs to know and understand the basic law concepts and go specifically into the
characteristics and factors or the Sharia Law. Before going onto the Sharia, one needs to know and
understand the law concepts. First, all societies and religions contain a legal system. Unless any law or
legal system, any organization would encounter conflicts and arguments. Second, law acts as system
of conflict resolution. Whenever ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sharia, also called Sharia Law or Islamic Law, is a religious law forming part of the Islamic tradition,
and it came from the religious precepts of Islam. Sharia is often portrayed as a medieval legal system
used by religious zealots to oppress women and deny human rights for Muslims and non Muslims
alike. (Esposito, 40) Islamic law in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sudan, and the Taliban s
Afghanistan has required to restrict women s rights.
Regardless of this negative characteristic of Sharia, why do so many Muslims regard Sharia so
positively and think of it as central to their faith? One of the reasons is that Sharia has functioned as a
positive source of guidance, a law whose principles and values have provided a moral compass for
individuals and society. (Esposito, 41)
The reason they want Sharia so much is much easier to understand if one realizes that many Muslims
across the world concerns much about how modern secularism has challenged faith and family values.
Muslims see secularism as undermining personal and public morality, weakening marriage as an
institution, and leading to rampant divorce, sexual promiscuity, dysfunctional families, and alcohol
and drug abuse. (Esposito, 41)
Now we can go specifically into Sharia Law, which is the foundation of religious politics. There are
two categories of Sharia law that we can break down to. They are

Antonio Vivaldi Research Paper
Antonio Vivaldi
Antonio Vivaldi was born in Venice on March 4th of 1678. He is known primarily as an Italian
composer and rightfully so since he composed in all the major genres of the era such as opera,
concerto, and in addition educational pieces (Antonio Vivaldi , n.d.). His most popular concertos are
the four that make up The Four Seasons which were part of an even larger publication. Not only was
Vivaldi a composer, but he was also teacher and performer as well. Vivaldi lived an extremely active
life right up until his death on July 28 in 1741 (Grove Music Online Vivaldi, Antonio, n.d.).
Vivaldi s life was interesting right from the start. On the same day as his birth, Vivaldi had an

composing these concerti and enjoyed every bit of the time it took (Vivaldi s Four Seasons, n.d.). With
this set of compositions Vivaldi really wanted to show that music could depict and showcase scenes

Mr. A.M, a 62 year old man presented at the outpatient clinic with a two month history of epigastric
pain. He also reported that the pain was strongly correlated to meals. He also felt that his appetite has
decreased, however he did not lose any weight. He has a history of gastroesophageal reflux disease
(GERD), which dates back 5 years ago, which he took proton pump inhibitors for one month. He is
smoking for the last 40 years around one package a day, and does not consume any alcohol. He had an

former job as an accountant. He is currently on an ACE inhibitor for the control of his hypertension.
On examination, he appears comfortable and well. He has an abdominal distention. Chest is clear on
auscultation, his blood pressure is 125/75mmHg and pulse rate is 85/min. He is tender 2cm below the
sternum when deep palpation is performed, no lumps are felt, and the pain does not radiate. Liver is
palpable 2cm below costal margins. There is no shifting dullness or fluid thrill. 3. INVESTIGATIONS

Hadrian s Campaign Essay
Hadrian was born in Rome on Jan. 2, 76. The event of him becoming the new emperor of
Rome raised quite a bit of suspicion. It is said that his uncle, the previous ruler, adopted Hadrian while
on his death bed. There is some suspicion about this because all the other potential heirs for the
position were all mysteriously killed leaving Hadrian to take the throne. After his uncle died, Hadrian
took over as the new emperor of Rome.
During the time Hadrian took his place as a royal, Rome was involved in the Parthian
War. This war was between many parties fighting for Parthian. Hadrian, however, decided to take his
army out of the war and back out completely. During the war, many people were killed.

was the Hadrian Wall. This was the defense barrier he built on the border between England and

Another significant event that took place during Hadrian s reign was a religious outbreak.
During his rule, Hadrian decided to restore Jerusalem. Through the process of restoring this lad he
built a temple to Jupiter. Jupiter, also known as Zeus, is the Roman god of the sky. Now this would
have been fine, but Hadrian chose to build this temple exactly where the Jewish temple once stood.
This is the reason for the Jewish outbreak. The Jewish outbreak lasted for three and a half years with

Loneliness can be defined in so many ways. The plain, colorless, and parched meaning that sits unread

Comedy Theories
According to the Oxford dictionary Humor, is defined as: The quality of being amustic or comic,
especially as expressed in literature or speech, but what truly makes something funny? Comedy has
been around for hundreds of years; as it is being examined four concrete theories have been developed
to understand the idea of comedy: Superiority, Relief, incongruity, and Benign Violation theory. The
conception of comedy has been around since the dawn of man; Aristophanes wrote comic plays dating
back to 425 BCE, but as time progress so does comedy. The jokes and comics we see today have
changed drastically since then, and have evolved into a new style of humor. Comedy is used by
writers, playwrights, and everyday people to make life more enjoyable and cause the greatest feeling
to man... Laughter. The first theory otherwise known as Superiority theory, is the idea that people
laugh at the misfortune of others. When people make a group of peers laugh it adds a sense of, sudden
glory, to a person and allows people to feel dominant. The bases of superiority theory is people thrive
for dominance and can use laughter to win dominance by getting everyone to admire or follow a
person; by seeing someone else have a joke played on a person makes people feel better or superior.
According to Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy, this theory holds two claims: the strong claim
holds that humor involves a feelings of superiority, and the weak claim suggest that feelings of
superiority

Does Writing Down Notes On Paper More Effective Than...
Does writing down notes on paper more effective than typing it?
Cerebrum: The cerebrum is the main part of the brain, which has two halves, or hemispheres. The
right hemisphere controls the left side of the body and deals with things such as creativity, music, and
art. While the left hemisphere of the cerebrum controls the right side of the body and is in charge of
language, problem solving, and math. The cerebrum s many tasks are carried out by its outer layer, or
its cortex. This has distinct areas that have different roles. Motor areas trigger movement; sensory
areas deal with the senses, while association areas clarify information.
Cerebellum: The cerebellum is responsible for producing smooth, coordinated movements of the body.
It analyzes incoming information about the body s current movement and position then interacts with
the primary motor cortex to precisely time muscle contractions.
Why does writing something down help us remember it better?
Our brain is separated into several regions that undergo different kind of information. Then there are
regions that process information such as visual, verbal communication, auditory, emotions, etc. These
different regions communicate with each other and each one of them has its own processes it has to
complete first. For example one looks at a piece of art and express their emotions with language, thus

In the earlier years, poliomyelitis or polio was a crippling and deadly disease that claimed the lives of
millions of people or paralyzed its victims. The epidemic took the lives of more than 2.5 billion
children prior to the vaccination discovery ( History of Polio, YEAR). It was due to animal
experimentations that Dr. Jonas Salk discovered a vaccination to combat the deadly disease. Salk and
his team developed a method to produce large amounts of vaccine by cultivating the polioviruses in
the kidney tissues of monkeys ( Polio Cases, Deaths..., 2017). However, what few people know is that
it was also due to animal testing that the polio vaccine was delayed. According to David Wiebers, a

also led to gross misconceptions delaying the fight against polio. (CITE) The experiments conducted
originally indicated that the polio virus infects mainly through the nervous system halting the search

polioviruses primary route of infection was through the gastrointestinal system resulting in
misdirected preventive measures, delaying the development of a vaccine (CITE). When scientist

The Importance Of Oral Reading Assessment
Throughout this process of giving assessments, I came to the conclusion that some assessments are
more time efficient than others, while other assessments that take more time provide more useful
information that allow a teacher to provide individualized instruction for each student. The assessment
that took the most time was the Informal Phonics Survey, which required nearly twenty minutes for an
individual child to take the assessment; however, because of the time commitment for each individual
child, this assessment would not be an ideal source of information for an entire class. In contrast, the
DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency assessment only required ten minutes to assess an individual child,
and this assessment would be ideal for testing an entire class. I also realized that the Informal Phonics
Survey provides more detailed information than the DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency assessment does,
and although the IPS takes more time to administer, the information gives a teacher more insight into
the specific strengths and weaknesses of each child in their classroom by breaking the test into smaller
sections (letters, sounds, initial/final consonants, blends and digraphs, long and short vowels, closed
syllables, soft c/g generalization, open syllables, special vowels, syllabication, and common syllables).
This breakdown of the assessment allows the teacher to see the phonics skills each student is
struggling with and allows for individualized instruction. The DIBELS assessment,

According to the study, slower songs can cause a person to relax too much, thereby making the person

the human heart. Looking at a few of the specific drivers in the study, one women drove faster and

Stokely Carmichael Black Power
What is Black Power? Black power is a movement lead by Stokely Carmichael which promoted the
idea of black empowerment and creating a community where blacks feel comfortable in. It implies
self determination and self motivation. This means blacks should not rely on white authority to fix
racial issues but rather take matters into their own hands. It is a call for blacks to define their own
goals. This was not only meant as freedom from white authority but also as economical and political
independence. In this way Black Power was taking control of the future of blacks in both economical
and political ways and establishing a community in which they will not have to suffer living as second
class citizens. Black power also encouraged blacks to have pride in their racial heritage and be proud
to be black. A way of promoting this was by using the slogan Black is Beautiful , to get people to see

How Did The Confederation Lead To German Unification
After the Holy Roman Empire was dissolved by Napoleon, all of the German states were completely
separate. They had nothing tying them together until 1815. This is when the Congress of Vienna
created the German Confederation, a group of 39 loosely joined German states. The Confederation
still had no central government, but delegates would meet once a month to discuss things like mutual
laws and policies. The Confederation was mainly a loose political organization who had common
allies and enemies (Britannica). The states in the Confederation were still separate for the most part,
although this did not cause them problems. The Confederation worked for all of the states and they

Because of these issues, the Seven Weeks war started between Austria and Prussia. Bismarck had
already gotten Italian support and French neutrality for Prussia. Prussia made the first move by

Battle of Sadowa (Koniggratz). The Treaty of Prague was created in August of that year and excluded
Austria from all German affairs. Throughout the process of creating the Treaty, Bismarck made sure
that Austria didn t lose any land. After this, the German Confederation was dissolved and the North
German Confederation was formed. The North German Confederation consisted of all of the German
states north of the Main river and it was controlled by Prussia. The southern states such as Baden and
Bavaria stayed independent, although they had military alliances with Prussia. A main problem that
delayed further unification was France, ruled by Napoleon III. The French held a growing idea that a

Comparing Johann Liss And Shepherd And Camille Corot s...
Johann Liss s Nymph and Shepherd and Camille Corot s Diana and Actaeon (Diana Surprised in Her
Bath) evoke themes of female exposure under male surveillance. Both artists interject two male
figures in the background of their paintings, one, the shepherd and Actaeon, is named and the other is
unknown. Liss personifies danger and protection through his two men while Corot uses them as a
narrative device to illustrate several moments in one space. Liss is particularly heedful of the sinister
nature he crafts through the vulnerable, exposed, and unsupported nature of the nymph. Corot, on the
other hand, creates a scene where the female subjects have a strong leader in Diana and are connected
to and supported by their environment. Both artists achieve these differing interpretations by diverging
in their use of space, color, and relationships between figures and landscape. Liss and Corot achieve
very distinct goals through the two male figures placed in their works, but they both primarily place
the men spatially behind the women in positions of surveillance. Liss places the shepherd behind and
overlooking the nymph; he is identified as a shepherd because of the crook in his right hand. His
profession is significant because it alters how the viewer perceives him. Without this knowledge, he
would look threatening because of the dark value of the color of his body and the positioning of his
crook above the nymph, perhaps in an attempt to harm her. Despite this, the layperson knows

CROWD SAFETY (STADIUMS) Occupiers Liability Act (1957) is the fundamental act of spectator
safety at sporting events. This act is that an occupier of a premises owes a common duty of care to
their visitors. Occupier is in charge of premises. Visitor is some that is invited or permitted to be at the
premises. Disabled visitors covered by the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. Cunningham v

It goes beyond the rules of the sport to include its aims, objectives, skills and tactics and includes
some acts of foul play. (Gardiner et al. 2005) Jockeys held not liable to a fellow rider, when they
crossed in front of him in a race and even though they had been found to be guilty of careless riding at
a steward s enquiry. The riders error could not be characterised as anything more than an error of
judgment, an oversight or a lapse of which any participant might be guilty in the context of a race of
that kind. It was the sort of incident which happened quite often, therefore it was not possible to
characterize momentary careless as negligence and the claimant s case was dismissed. // SMOLDON

Fourth Amendment Essay
In the late eighteenth century, after the United States of America achieved their independence from
their former ruler, American leaders decided that their country was in need of a new document to rule
over it. They took upon themselves the task of drafting the Constitution, which has been the supreme
law since its ratification. As part of its Bill of Rights, the Fourth Amendment protects American
citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures . While the internet did not exist for a couple more
centuries, this right that citizens have expands and changes as society does, therefore internet
protection falls under the umbrella of the Fourth Amendment. The government monitoring the internet
could be considered illegal under this fourth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This justifies the previous claims that internet protection should be included in the penumbra of the
Fourth and Fifth Amendments. A few years ago, a former employee of both the CIA and NSA, Edward
Snowden, became a whistleblower as he leaked information pertaining to the illicit activities of the
NSA. One of the NSA programs that Snowden informed the public on was called XKeyscore, which
allowed members of the NSA to search through enormous databases of emails, online chats, and
browsing histories of targets, (Business Insider). The government having the ability to investigate the
internet content of ordinary citizens, in any fashion similar to that of XKeyscore, is unjust and denies
American citizens their rights. The uproaring havoc of the public following the Snowden leaks reflects
how Americans today, as a whole, feel about their internet content being watched by the government.
Recently, the possibility of the FCC removing net neutrality concerned many citizens, afraid they were
possibly going to lose their internet privileges. While this does not directly correlate to monitoring the
internet, it goes to show that many Americans do not wish to have a reduction in their internet

Conflict In The Hunt
The first in Devi s Imaginary Maps, The Hunt is the story of an eighteen year old tribal woman, Mary
Oraon, from a tribal village in West Bengal. She is pestered and stalked by a male predator and
contractor Tehsildar Singh who has come to exploit the valuable wood of the Sal forest around the
village. When he grows lustful of her, she turns into the predator that he is and retaliates her
excruciating plight by slaying her molester. This act of self defence of the protagonist emphasizes the
need for an organic intellectual like Mary in an oppressive society. Antonio Gramsci s idea of the
intellectual was critical as he was in the situation of creating a counter hegemony to persuade a huge
mass to transform from capitalism to socialism. His ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak states that this voice of resistance makes Mary an organic intellectual....
Mary Oraon in „The Hunt‟ is one of these figures (Devi, Imaginary Maps 26 27). The organic
intellectual in The Hunt emphasizes the need for resistance to exploitation and the need to empower
and promote the status of tribal women through awareness and education. Mary s intellectuality shows
how gender stereotypes and patriarchal inconsistencies are not something biological but rather they
are only social, economic and culturally accepted norms. Mary s role as a protector to her society,
herself and her relations, her intellectuality to grow along with the dominant Tehsildar and revolting
her rapist and the fact that she rebels against his exploitation of the land and the women, all done
organically prove her as an organic intellectual. Mary Oraon is a role model for all the victimized and
oppressed women who are sexually harassed, her mixed blood emphasizes her power. Spivak also
states that subaltern women need to recognize that internalized constraints inhibit their becoming
organic intellectuals, and that ethical singularity...can help them overcome this obstacle (Murtuza
143). Mary Oraon is an example of such an organic intellectual who takes her power on her own
hands and turns the table over her

Reflective Argument Paper
The four distinct learning objectives are as follows: First, students are required to be able to adopt a
rhetorical perspective in order to identify, analyze, and describe the various aspects within one s own
discourse community. How I will show this objective is by citing earlier identifications of genre,
conventions, and occasions for writing made in my assignment two. Second, students must produce
writing that draws considerably on concepts from primary or secondary sources. For this objective I
cited my assignment two which includes primary source material and argues a rationalization for
change within a journal. Thirdly, students should show a flexible writing process that adapts to the
different writing situations and tasks. I cite again assignment two, where I examined an article to argue
a change over time. Lastly, the student s writing shows reflective properties to makes choices and
changes in their writing as well as how they might use those same properties to approach a completely
new writing task. For how I achieved this objective I reference the group work I did which began with
an interdisciplinary concept, then Shown within this reflective argument is my method for reaching
the four learning objectives of Wayne State s English 3010 classes. I have incorporated assignment
one, two, and some responses to support my claimed ability.
Learning objective one requires students to accurately identify, describe, and analyze common
rhetorical moves used by our

Why Are We Wash Ourselves With Toxic Chemicals
Are We Washing Ourselves With Toxic Chemicals? Do we ever think about our skin? It is the largest
organ of our body.
Our bodies are constantly exposed to toxic chemicals, poisons, sprays, plastics, processed food, stress
and there for we are becoming unhealthy.
We Eat With Our Skin.
The skin absorbs and eats whatever we put on it. Anything we rub on it or touches our skin can go
directly into the bloodstream.
This is why medicine in skin patches has become so popular over the years; the medications from the
patches absorb directly through the skin. In actual fact, anything you put on the skin can go directly in
to your bloodstream. Soaps, make up, creams and the like should prove food grade quality. As a rule
of thumb: If you can t put it in your mouth, don t put it on your skin. ... Show more content on

Chemical cocktails have been found in hundreds of cosmetics and toiletries. According to ongoing
studies most cosmetics contain a cocktail of cancer causing agents and are still on the market
regardless of the consequences. Most make up on the market is toxic and ends up causing just the
opposite of what you are trying to avoid, oxidative damage to your skin.
All this makes sense when you consider skin ages as we age from oxidants and lousy nutrition,
chemicals, smoke, emotional stress and excessive sun. Although sun is healthy as in small amounts for
the most needed vitamin D . Most sunscreens are not the protectors we may think they are. The best
organic sunscreen cream should have a broad spectrum of ultraviolet protection against both UVB and
UVA rays, otherwise the sunscreen is worthless or even

  • 2. Book Report On Isaac s Storm Crystal Skinner May 1, 2017 HIST 2301 Professor Lambert Isaac s Storm Book Review Isaac s Storm, is a tale of self confidence. This Hurricane in 1900 in Galveston was the worst and deadliest hurricane this country has ever seen. About 6,000 people lost their lives and among those who died was Isaac Cline s wife. I can tell how guilty he must have felt and how horrific this time was for Cline, especially because he thought a massive storm could never devastate his amazing city. The horrific events of what happened in Galveston is only partially told in this book. Erik Larson s use of Cline s own letters and reports show Cline s own self confidence or pride and falsifies facts that Cline was the hero he believed himself to be after the Storm surfaced. • 3. Descartes Claim Of The Universe How Fix a Universe That is Nothing but Paradoxes Descartes claim of I think, therefore I am , is an attempt to establish a firm foundation for the understanding of the universe and explores the ideas of the self and what we can know to be real. However, there is one major flaw in this approach. That flaw is how we are to create this foundation when before it we had nothing and the paradoxes in the creating definitions of words. His goal is to better understand what he is in order to reestablish the foundations of his understanding of the world around him. This is a normal human behavior to explore the unknown or not well understood. Any explorer that sails the ocean in search of new land may know what land is but new land that was unknown to him/her is a satisfying development in the person s understanding of everything that is real. The modern practice of this behavior includes, but not limited to, an astronomer using space telescopes to look deep into space where light from an ancient universe is arriving at earth or an experimental physicist when smashing particles together in hopes to find new and smaller part that makes up the fundamental building blocks of the universe. Descartes hopes to use his logical process to reveal the fundamental building blocks of the universe that humans can exist in. He also wants to create a fundamental understanding of the way to observe the universe that we can perceive with the limited senses that we have. He uses this logical ... Still many teachers and researchers still agree that homework helps students achieve higher grades in school. Schools that assigned homework frequently showed higher student achievement than schools that assigned little homework(ERIC). This means that homework is working. Studies have generally found that if teachers carefully plan homework, homework can be quite helpful(KidSource). Homework has proven its effectiveness and is a very powerful factor in student performance. Students should only spend enough time on homework so that the subject is reinforced and not just a waste of time. This paper discusses the experiences of two Americans who visited Japan during the Meiji Period compared to initial experiences. There were numerous reasons why the United States had an interest in forming diplomatic relations with Japan. The opening of China s ports for commerce along with the new acquisition of a California made the United States want to expand its influence in the world. • 9. The Use Of Ester Interchange Reactions During The... PRODUCTION OF PET We utilize the rapidity of ester interchange reactions during the production process. The acid (terephthalic acid) is converted to the dimethyl ester, which is further purified by distillation or crystallization. This is then allowed to react with the glycol by ester interchange. The reaction generally is a two step reaction a. First, low MW polyester is made with excess of glycol to ensure that the hydroxyl end groups are formed and then the temperature is raised and pressure is decreased to facilitate condensation of these molecules by ester interchange simultaneously with the loss of glycol. [7] PET resins can be produced in two ways commercially. These two ways are by using one among dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) or terephthalic acid (TPA) with Ethylene Glycol (EG). These processes are generally known as the DMT Process and the TPA process. The intermediate bis (2 hydroxyethyl) terephthalate monomer (BHET) is produced in both these processes. This is accompanied by methanol when using DMT and water when using TPA. The BHET intermediate formed is polymerized with heat and catalyst to produce PET resins. The older route is the DMT process. [8] Process using DMT [9] It is a two step process. The ratio of DMT to EG is generally 2:1. There is the possibility of using either batch operation or continuous operations to produce PET using DMT. As I watched my speech I noticed I had some awkward pauses, bad transitions, some um s, and a little stuttering throughout the speech. If you look at the speech I tend to stutter which is a little distracting. Talking about the festival Diwali I talk about Rangoli and its colored pattern I stutter and forget what I am explaining. Another major argument for not compensating college athletes is the fact that we have never done so in the past. Also, at a time of economic crisis, most Universities have other things to worry about, especially because there is no system in place currently that allows student athletes to receive money. The comparison of what student athletes get versus what they give makes it very obvious that they are exploited. Many of the athletes receive their education free, which can range from about $10,000 to more than $40,000 a year. However, college programs generate thousands more off of the athlete. Recently, the University of Notre Dame signed a five season 38 million dollar contract with NBC for its home football games (Wulf 94). If there were 100 full scholarship football players for Notre Dame, that would equal $380,000 per player just from the TV revenues, when the limit of scholarships is usually around eighty. This does not even take into account the ticket revenues, championship or bowl game payouts, and merchandise sold because of the players. Notre Dame is not the only school making million dollar deals like this one. The Art Of Activism In Art Activists make their messages and movements known through art in order to express messages, validate identities, and to make struggles known, calling themselves ARTivists to show that there is an often undervalued intersection between the two. But before the coining of the term, activists have been creating art to advance themselves and their communities. ARTivists within the Chicano community have especially been creating art in order to validate and record their own experiences. ARTivism is crucial in today s society and culture as it intersects art and politics in order to emphasize injustices that are deeply rooted within these structures. By decolonizing and deconstructing exploitive structures, ARTivists liberate the oppressed while creating a more socially conscious future by allowing the oppressed to create their own voice and tell their own stories. ARTivism dismantles the idea of art for art s sake by giving a meaning to art. It exposes truths that become hidden or are erased by social structures, which oppresses the people who live out those truths. Portraying activism through this medium allows for people to connect in a creative way as art is able to speak volumes for those who do not have a voice to speak out against injustices against them. This varies greatly by state and can have many factors such as who is picking up the body, if you are going through a funeral home, do you want to have a viewing ( if so you might need to have the body embalmed which would add a cost) ect. • 18. Reflection On Student Learning Written Reflection #2 As a teacher, our responsibility is to plan effective lessons for our students to learn from. Although, the hardest part of being a teacher is grasping the student s motivation to learn. Therefore, the educational philosophers Borich and Wong have different approaches to make us effective teachers motivate our students to learn new and exciting teachings. These different methods may include a wide range of how teachers run their classrooms, or what specific standards are being targeted, and maybe even how effective their planning techniques are. Not to mention, students may also expect positive expectations from the teacher and ways to help them succeed. On the other note, inviting students to learn may be easier than thought, in which may result in positive student behavior. Thus, my opinion of what Borich and Wong have to say about student learning is very beneficial to me so, that one day I may use their techniques in my very own classroom. In chapter 4, in the Borich text book he clarifies the different ways to manage a classroom through three different systems called humanist tradition, applied behavior analysis, and classroom management tradition. A subdivision topic under the humanist tradition mentions cooperative learning has proven statistics to gain student learning rather than whole group instruction. The survey was intended for University of Pittsburgh undergraduate students, but due to being posted on social media, there is a possibility our survey was taken by students at other universities. We originally had 313 participants, but 77 were excluded due to their failure to complete the quality check question, or because they did not fully complete the survey by not giving us their year in school information. We gave the participants paragraphs about either a sociology major named James or Jane, or an engineering major named James or Jane. The conditions, which paragraph the student read, were randomly assigned to them but the questions were identical and in the same order for every participant. After reading the paragraph they were asked to rate how much they agreed with statements about the student. A 5 point Likert scale was used, where 1 was strongly disagree and 5 was strongly agree. The statements given to the participants were if the student had good work ethic, was naturally smart, and was going to continue their education post graduation. There was ... Sharia, also called Sharia Law or Islamic Law, is a religious law forming part of the Islamic tradition, and it came from the religious precepts of Islam. Sharia is often portrayed as a medieval legal system used by religious zealots to oppress women and deny human rights for Muslims and non Muslims alike. (Esposito, 40) Islamic law in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sudan, and the Taliban s Afghanistan has required to restrict women s rights. Regardless of this negative characteristic of Sharia, why do so many Muslims regard Sharia so positively and think of it as central to their faith? One of the reasons is that Sharia has functioned as a positive source of guidance, a law whose principles and values have provided a moral compass for individuals and society. (Esposito, 41) The reason they want Sharia so much is much easier to understand if one realizes that many Muslims across the world concerns much about how modern secularism has challenged faith and family values. Muslims see secularism as undermining personal and public morality, weakening marriage as an institution, and leading to rampant divorce, sexual promiscuity, dysfunctional families, and alcohol and drug abuse. I also realized that the Informal Phonics Survey provides more detailed information than the DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency assessment does, and although the IPS takes more time to administer, the information gives a teacher more insight into the specific strengths and weaknesses of each child in their classroom by breaking the test into smaller sections (letters, sounds, initial/final consonants, blends and digraphs, long and short vowels, closed syllables, soft c/g generalization, open syllables, special vowels, syllabication, and common syllables). Johann Liss s Nymph and Shepherd and Camille Corot s Diana and Actaeon (Diana Surprised in Her Bath) evoke themes of female exposure under male surveillance. Both artists interject two male figures in the background of their paintings, one, the shepherd and Actaeon, is named and the other is unknown. Liss personifies danger and protection through his two men while Corot uses them as a narrative device to illustrate several moments in one space. Liss is particularly heedful of the sinister nature he crafts through the vulnerable, exposed, and unsupported nature of the nymph. Corot, on the other hand, creates a scene where the female subjects have a strong leader in Diana and are connected to and supported by their environment. Both artists achieve these differing interpretations by diverging in their use of space, color, and relationships between figures and landscape. Liss and Corot achieve very distinct goals through the two male figures placed in their works, but they both primarily place the men spatially behind the women in positions of surveillance. • 42. Fourth Amendment Essay In the late eighteenth century, after the United States of America achieved their independence from their former ruler, American leaders decided that their country was in need of a new document to rule over it. They took upon themselves the task of drafting the Constitution, which has been the supreme law since its ratification. As part of its Bill of Rights, the Fourth Amendment protects American citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures . While the internet did not exist for a couple more centuries, this right that citizens have expands and changes as society does, therefore internet protection falls under the umbrella of the Fourth Amendment. The government monitoring the internet could be considered illegal under this fourth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This justifies the previous claims that internet protection should be included in the penumbra of the Fourth and Fifth Amendments. A few years ago, a former employee of both the CIA and NSA, Edward Snowden, became a whistleblower as he leaked information pertaining to the illicit activities of the NSA. One of the NSA programs that Snowden informed the public on was called XKeyscore, which allowed members of the NSA to search through enormous databases of emails, online chats, and browsing histories of targets, (Business Insider). The government having the ability to investigate the internet content of ordinary citizens, in any fashion similar to that of XKeyscore, is unjust and denies American citizens their rights. The uproaring havoc of the public following the Snowden leaks reflects how Americans today, as a whole, feel about their internet content being watched by the government. Recently, the possibility of the FCC removing net neutrality concerned many citizens, afraid they were possibly going to lose their internet privileges. While this does not directly correlate to monitoring the internet, it goes to show that many Americans do not wish to have a reduction in their internet ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She is pestered and stalked by a male predator and contractor Tehsildar Singh who has come to exploit the valuable wood of the Sal forest around the village. When he grows lustful of her, she turns into the predator that he is and retaliates her excruciating plight by slaying her molester. This act of self defence of the protagonist emphasizes the need for an organic intellectual like Mary in an oppressive society. Mary Oraon in „The Hunt‟ is one of these figures (Devi, Imaginary Maps 26 27). The organic intellectual in The Hunt emphasizes the need for resistance to exploitation and the need to empower and promote the status of tribal women through awareness and education. Mary s intellectuality shows how gender stereotypes and patriarchal inconsistencies are not something biological but rather they are only social, economic and culturally accepted norms. Mary s role as a protector to her society, herself and her relations, her intellectuality to grow along with the dominant Tehsildar and revolting her rapist and the fact that she rebels against his exploitation of the land and the women, all done organically prove her as an organic intellectual. Mary Oraon is a role model for all the victimized and oppressed women who are sexually harassed, her mixed blood emphasizes her power. Spivak also states that subaltern women need to recognize that internalized constraints inhibit their becoming organic intellectuals, and that ethical singularity...can help them overcome this obstacle (Murtuza 143). Mary Oraon is an example of such an organic intellectual who takes her power on her own hands and turns the table over her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Reflective Argument Paper The four distinct learning objectives are as follows: First, students are required to be able to adopt a rhetorical perspective in order to identify, analyze, and describe the various aspects within one s own discourse community. How I will show this objective is by citing earlier identifications of genre, conventions, and occasions for writing made in my assignment two. Second, students must produce writing that draws considerably on concepts from primary or secondary sources. For this objective I cited my assignment two which includes primary source material and argues a rationalization for change within a journal. Thirdly, students should show a flexible writing process that adapts to the different writing situations and tasks. I cite again assignment two, where I examined an article to argue a change over time. Lastly, the student s writing shows reflective properties to makes choices and changes in their writing as well as how they might use those same properties to approach a completely new writing task. For how I achieved this objective I reference the group work I did which began with an interdisciplinary concept, then Shown within this reflective argument is my method for reaching the four learning objectives of Wayne State s English 3010 classes. I have incorporated assignment one, two, and some responses to support my claimed ability. Learning objective one requires students to accurately identify, describe, and analyze common rhetorical moves used by our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
