Research Based Proposal Essay
The developed world deprives children of a basic and inalienable right: unstructured outdoor play.
Children today have substantially less access to nature, less free range, and less time for independent
play than previous generations had. This quote is from the research based paper titled, Where the Wild
Things Should Be: Healing Nature Deficit Disorder through the Schoolyard. This article touches many
aspects of how children now a days need more exposure to nature like it was on the older days.
Currently, there are many playgrounds around the United States and even more the world. This article
is trying to bring awareness to the problem of if playgrounds do not have enough nature or is too safe

Although there is arguments that playgrounds can be made too safe where they are no fun are made,
for the sake of the argument I will focus on the side that wants them really safe. This side of the
arguments believes that all schoolyards need to have rules such as to, Avoid playgrounds with non
impact absorbing surfaces, such as asphalt, concrete, grass, dirt or gravel. Recommended surface
materials include: sand, pea gravel, wood chips, mulch and shredded rubber. Rubber mats, synthetic
turf and other artificial materials are also safe surfaces and require less maintenance. Surfacing should
be at least 12 inches deep and extend at least 6 feet in all directions around stationary equipment.
Depending on the height of the equipment, surfacing may need to extend farther than 6 feet. For
swings, make sure that the surfacing extends, in the back and front, twice the height of the suspending
bar. So if the top of the swing set is 10 feet high, the surfacing should extend 20 feet. Along with all
the regulations and rules, they would hop to also have it well supervised and inspected. They say that
qualified personal need to constantly be checking up on the schoolyards and maintaining them.
Although this side may have some good reasons about children safety it still may not good
developmentally for children if they are not interacting with nature and using their imagination to their

The Role Of Racism And Discrimination In The United States
As an individual with unique life experiences, It s easy to dismiss the societally constructed struggles
of other individuals. The popular phrase for this phenomena is Out of sight=Out of mind . It s
understandable to not immediately accept the struggles of others when they are struggles in which you
have never experienced before. Those sins can be forgiven. However, what is not forgivable is the
refusal to educate oneself to better understand those struggles and fundamentally accept that other
individuals are negatively affected by these unfamiliar experiences. Specifically, the black community
within the United States, who receive a very different experience than the white community. Racism
and discrimination are still a very large part ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The political and economic consequences of racial discrimination have most certainly had an
imbalanced benefit for white communities. However, these benefits are accepted as the standard for
which these communities should be and have been in a sense of status quo. This refusal to accept the
societal discrimination had often been referred to as color blindness. Color blindness can be defined as
the refusal to acknowledge the struggle of non white s by using the success of a few no white
individuals as an example of a fading social racism. A example of this which is often used, is the
election of President Barack Obama (López, 2004). Through the national election of a categorized
black president, many have felt that this is an example of a race free society. This community who
believe this are often uneducated to contemporary societal structure of our country, or have personal
agenda s in which they feel the need to mask with bold statements. It is our duty, as a plural nation of
many ethnicities, to not only educate ourselves on the complexity and beauty of the different
American cultures, but to communicate this acceptance of diversity to the next generation. It is okay
to feel uneducated on racial topics and consequentially uncomfortable during the initial stages of

Similarities Between Witchcraft, Wicca, And Paganism
Introduction
The terms Witchcraft, Wicca, and Paganism are often used interchangeably. However, the terms have
very different meanings and each term has a complex history. First, I will discuss each terms brief
history and then their definitions. Finally, at the end, I will sum up my conclusions concerning the
terms similarities and differences.
Witchcraft
The history of Witchcraft is difficult to trace because it remained a hidden practice for most of its early
history. Several of the scholars I researched argued that Witchcraft never existed and was just the
product of creative imaginations. However, noted religious scholar, Mircea Eliade, argues that
evidence suggests that Witchcraft was a very ancient practice. Standard dictionary definitions define
Witches as people who practice magick. However, the definition of the word Witch has evolved over
many centuries. For example, the Anglo Saxon word Wicca or Wicce simply refers to a male or female
seer or person who can find out information by using majick. (1) In addition, both Wyeh in Saxon and
Wicce in Old English means to bend, turn or shape. (1) And finally, the Germanic root wit means ...

The word comes from the Latin term, pagus which means from the countryside. (2) Its usage was
comparable to the contemporary use of the term hick, as an individual who is backward. It also carried
a negative religious connotation because Pagans were not Christian. Therefore, the term originally
meant anyone who didn t belong to a Judeo Christian religion. However, the term evolved as societies
grew and changed. Today, the term in its broadest, meaning is someone who follows a religious path
which is polytheistic. In addition, Pagans honor the divinity of nature and don t believe that humans
have dominion over nature. Finally, Pagans acknowledge the existence of both male and female

Why Abortion Should Stop The Abortion
Why Abortion Should stopped
For everyone an abortion is defined as the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus from a
female, in order to end a pregnancy (Webster, Merriam). Abortions are wrong because one cannot
create life; therefore a person should not be able to terminate a life before it actually starts. Depending
on the situation people may feel that abortions are justifiable. Due to a person being too young, or just
simply unprepared. I feel that either way that it is murder. We wouldn t accept a serial killer roam the
streets as if nothing happened. In this argument it is the same thing. (The book of exodus 20:1 7)
clearly states thou shall not kill. You can t avoid that in any form or fashion (exodus 20:1 7). Every
human being has a right to life even if they are not born, yet there are no rules to stop this crime.
I feel that abortions should be illegal anywhere on this planet. I searched up some facts about how
abortions can hurt you in The killing of an human was doing no wrong is a horrible act, even if that
human being has yet to be born. Unborn babies are considered human or soon to be humans by the
government and people who actually cares about humans. The federal Unborn Victims of Violence
Act, which was made to protect unborn children from assault and murder. The law states that under
federal law, anybody intentionally killing or attempting to kill an unborn child should be trialed for on
purposely killing or attempting an abortion. At least 38

CASE STUDY ANALYSIS
Introduction:
It is amazing to note that humans are a type of species that can smartly organize and form a
community. Several of these communities create their cultural norms and beliefs that make their
society a place to live. Willis, K. and Elmer, S. (2007, p3), defines society as the identifying pattern of
behaviour, meanings and beliefs in order to uncover the links between individual lives and social
forces.
Accepting this definition as a fact, the analysis of this case study will take into consideration culture
clash, the history of indigenous dispossession, and contemporary health issues faced by indigenous
people. Subtopics on the models of health and the transcultural theories protruded by the study are ...

Walter Roth, an eminent anthropologist who became one of the protectors of Aborigines in

that cultures in conflict find it difficult to understand each other and consequently difficult to adapt to

that was a compound, tibial fibular fracture just below the knee. The x ray showed there was a
meniscal tear above the knee where the fracture was. Nicole stayed in the hospital for 14 days due to
infection where the bone was through the skin. Once the infection subsided she was put into a cast.
She was put in the cast for three month which then she was able to bear weight on her leg. Her leg

Epilogue To William Golding s Lord Of The Flies
We fell out of the sky today. I don t know where we crashed. Other boys were on the plane so they had
to be around here somewhere, but there are no grownups that s what Ralph said. Ralph thinks we re on
an island and he s been calling me Piggy. I don t want him to call me that; that s what the boys at
school call me. He s been making fun of my asthma too. Anyways, he said his dad is in the Navy and
he s going to come rescue us. Ralph spotted a shell in the water I told him it was a conch and I
remember someone that had one and would blow into it and his mum would come. Ralph blew into it
(it took a couple of tries), and then children started appearing. There were a bunch. There were these
twins, Sam n Eric and Jack Merridew and his choir. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ralph said the beast had teeth and big, black eyes. I m kind of scared now. Jack took the conch and
started blowing into it like he don t know what he s doing. He said that Ralph shouldn t be the chief
because he s a coward. But we took a vote again to see who should be chief and no one voted for Jack.
Then he stormed away saying that he was going to hunt by himself and you could join him. We don t
need Jack; we can do without him. I suggested we moved the fire to down here on the beach so we
don t have to go up on that mountain. We made a new fire. I noticed some boys like Maurice, Bill, and
Roger left I expect they joined Jack s tribe. We don t need em anyways. Ralph and me had done some
talking: he doesn t know what to do and is losing faith in getting rescued. I told him we just got to
move on be like the grownups. Then Jack and some of his hunters burst out of the trees making loud
noises. I thought they were after the conch so I went to protect that. He told us he was having a feast
and we could join him in his tribe. His hunters stole some fire from us during their

Salt Marshes And Salt Marshes
Apparently, marshes are often imagined incorrectly. To some people, they might confuse a marsh to a
swamp or to a wetland. Although relative, marshes are only a kind of wetland, which is land where the
water level is close to the soil surface or covers the surface for at least part of the year. Marshes,
specifically salt marshes, are lush, intertidal grasslands renowned for their productivity (Silliman
2014). Simply, a salt marsh is a coastal ecosystem of grasses characterized by poorly drained mineral
soils due to regular flooding of salt water brought in by ocean tides. Since salt marshes serve as
estuaries between the land and ocean, people do not realize an important role they play in protection;
these coastal marshes are presumed to protect human communities from coastal hazards, such as
storms and hurricanes, by providing important ecosystem services. One very important ecosystem
service is their role as a buffer in protecting coastlines (Shepard et al. 2011). As humans fail to
appreciate and protect these marshes, their continuous impacts on coastal infrastructure would not
only negatively impact humans but to the life on the salt marshes as well. Salt marshes are found in
the temporal zone on protected shorelines throughout the world and are stressful environments due to
their intertidal behaviors. As a result, plants and animals living in salt marshes must have adaptations
to deal with the harsh physical stressors, ranging from high salt concentrations, intense heat, and low
oxygen in waterlogged soils (Sulliman 2014). Nevertheless, there is a positive trade off: although
plants and animals have to overcome these physical obstacles, they get access to abundant resources,
protection from predators, and a high potential for both them and their offspring in return. An example
of this trade off is investigated with a fish, a mummichog Fundulus heteroclitus, a resident of intertidal
salt marshes on the east coast of North America. The study suggests that mummichogs have the ability
to alter their habitat use accordingly to environmental factors, such as heat stress and oxygen
depletion, to create a predation refuge habitat, which would then allow high growth rates (Halpin
2000). Due to the stressful

Descriptive Essay About Yi Li
I came into the world, one fall windy night, on September 7, 2000, exactly 4 minutes behind my twin
sister. At 12:04 in the morning, when the roads were quiet except for the cries of the new born babies
at Brooklyn, New York hospital, I was born. My parents told me that my hand, not my head, came out
first. The reason behind this was because I was clinging to Yi Wen s leg with a firm grip and refused to
let go. Perhaps I didn t want to come out or I wasn t happy with being second to come out because
immediately after I was born, I cried and cried, and thrashed around with such force that my parents
decide to named me Yi Ling. My name, Yi Ling Ni, represents me fairly well in some ways of my life,
but as I grew up, I found myself pondering; why was I named this name? My name was chosen before
I was born. Knowing that we were twin girls, my parents thought of names that would fit for twins.
After consulting with my grandparents, known to be very wise when it came to Chinese characters and
poetry; the names Yi Wen and Yi Ling were chosen. The Ling in my name is a Chinese character that
represents one who is full of spirit, energy, and thinks very logically. So when my parents saw me as
the energetic child, they named me Yi Ling. Yi was a character given to many Chinese people s names
because it means to bring fortune and abundance in whatever they do. What I found interesting about
my name compared to Yi Wen s name was the Wen part of her name. Wen, another Chinese character,

The fall of Dinosaurs
It is hard to imagine that millions of years ago, the Earth was not dominated by humans, but by
Dinosaurs. These great Beast s, who were as big or bigger than cars, roamed the land. Some were
giant killing machines, like the Tyrannosaurus Rex.Some are even alive today, while many people do
not even notice. There have been countless theories as to how the dinosaurs became extinct.
The dinosaurs ruled the land for millions of years, and it seems impossible that such magnificent
creatures could have been taken off the earth. Dinosaurs were very adaptable to their environment and
traversed the entire earth. They were even found on lands like Antarctica, and many different oceanic
islands like north Island, New Zealand, and a island called Spitsbergen.(Creation.com/Oard) There
have even been Dinosaur fossils found in northern Alaska next to the arctic Ocean.(Oard) These
questions have perplexed researchers, and it has made them wonder if dinosaurs were Endotherms,
Ectotherms, or some combination in between.(Oard) An example of this is a comment from researcher
Michael Benton, Should we now imagine Dinosaurs as thermally insulated Warm Blooded animals
that ploughed through the snowdrifts and scraped brush the ice off the ground to find food? .(Oard)

beat heard.
Steps in taking blood pressure (B/P):
a. Explain the procedure to the subject.
b. With the arm extended and supported apply the deflated B/P cuff snugly with the arrow pointed
toward the brachial artery.
c. Position the dial so that it is in a straight line of vision for accurate reading.
d. Feel the brachial artery by pressing your fingers on the inner elbow joint.
e. Place the diaphragm of the stethoscope with a minimum of pressure over the brachial artery at the
bend of the elbow.
f. Close air valve on bulb and inflate cuff until the dial registers at approximately 180.
g. Open air valve slowly enough to be able to read the dial accurately at the place where you hear the
first sound.
h. Note position of the hand on the dial when you hear the first regular thumping sound. Consider this
the systolic reading.
i. Take the diastolic reading when you hear the last full regular thumping sound.

The Age Of Franco Research Paper
The Age of Francisco
Francisco Franco was a ruthless dictator of Spain from 1939 to 1975. He started as a talented military
general, who rose up to power and lead the Nationalist rebels to victory in the Spanish Civil War.
During his time as dictator, he ruled with confidence and control, and sided with the Axis Powers
during World War Two, but then quickly gained a good reputation with the United Nations after the
war was over. As one of the many dictators of the World War Two era, Franco is an important figure in
history.
Biography
Francisco Franco was born in El Ferrol, Spain on December 4,1892 into a military family. Following
in his father s footsteps, Franco joined the military and graduated from Toledo Military Academy. In

Franco s main goal was to restore Spain to its former glory. Just five months after the Spanish civil
war ended, World War Two started. Spain remained neutral in the war because of their intense debt,
however they sided with the Axis Powers. Francisco Franco did meet with Adolf Hitler in the middle
of the war saying Spain would join the war on the side of the Axis powers if Germany agreed to some
of Franco s terms. Hitler denied this request and Spain stayed out of the war. Franco tried to become
completely neutral in the war in 1943 but it was too late, Spain was invested too deeply with the Axis
Powers and gained enemies. The west already viewed Franco as a fascist and did not support him.
Franco tried to change this by changing the name of The State Party to the State Movement to appear
as though he was not fascist. With this change and his anti communist views, Spain gained political
popularity with the United States and was asked to join the United Nations in

In every love story ever written the two lovers go through obstacles to be together. And so, in this
story they must put aside their pride and realize that their prejudices were wrong, for them to realize
the true character of the other person. They must separate themselves from society s norms and
notions and realize that their true love is right in front of them.
In the setting in which the novel was written a person s Reputation was of great importance. For
instance, a woman could get a bad reputation for not adhering to the rules society set for her. See in
the novel a woman was expected to behave in certain ways. Elizabeth strays away from this idea that a
woman should be pleasing and always agree with everyone and such things. Her character is so
spirited in comparison with all other women in the novel, she is a very opinionated woman who is
very frank with her thoughts.
In Pride and Prejudice the lines of Social Class are strictly drawn. The Bennet s are the middle class
with the Darcy s and Bingley s as the higher class. Therefore, the Bennet s are treated as inferiors. You

There are many arguments on pay gaps and wage differences between genders different races.
However, salaries of professional athletes and every day, essential careers, such as teachers, nurse, and
police officers, can become an even bigger controversy because we don t understand why athletes
deserve to be paid that much, or we think us, as everyday workers, deserve to get paid more for what
we do. There are some valid reasons that contribute to professional athlete s high pay, and our average
pay. This has always been an interesting line of inquiry for me because I never understood why
playing a sport could make you so famous and rich, but the salary for saving lives didn t even

the topic of why professional athletes get paid so much. To no surprise, these conversations always

Mission Statement: To educate the kids from Ngatea Primary School about a healthy lifestyle
including healthy eating, exercise and a balanced lifestyle.
Company Description:
This year as a part of the Hauraki Plains College Year 12 Business Studies, we are creating and
conducting a business that aims at targeting young people and their wellbeing. We intend to educate
the younger generation about healthy eating, and being active to promote healthy habits in the younger
generation, which can be carried through later into their life. Our aim is to conduct a classroom lesson
with a practical element to a selected syndicate along with lunch orders for the entire school.
Our aim is to teach the students about healthy lifestyles, and how you don t have to be strict and treat
your body badly to be healthy. By doing this we also hope to educate kids early about the risks of
obesity on all aspects of their lifestyle. It benefits the students as they come out with a bit more
knowledge on these problems which affect our youth. The kids will come out aware of healthy and

Leadership Is A Key Factor Essay
Leadership means the ability of a superior to influence the behaviour of subordinates and persuade
them to follow a particular course of action (Barnard, 1938)Effective leadership is a key factor in the
life and success of an organisation. There are many theories of leadership have been proposed like
Great man theory, trait theory , The managerial grid and Theory X and Theory Y as it s a part of
behaviour theory and Participative theory. There are many traits and skill of person which makes
normal person to leader. There are honesty, passion, respect, clarity, emotional stability etc. From them
we just now concentrate on these five qualities. There are,
1. Vision
Vision is more important than your leadership skill as without this skill team cannot go anywhere like
this skill is a heart of leadership (Small Business, 2012). Vision can have power in that leader can see
the future state in present and built a road to arrive at stated future goal (Kohut, 2013).With clear
vision leader can make plan to get involved in the activity to achieve the goal in defined time. There is
confidence in each action which has vision in behind (Richter). Finally it is like how organisation
looks like after some time or may be at which stage it will be in near future (Richter). It provides the
execution idea and also motivation.
2. Tolerant to stress
Each person has optimal level of stress that they actually enjoy. It makes work exiting and engaging.
But when we pass that level, stress becomes

Democrat Vs Republican
When America was founded there were no parties but just a set of laws known as the constitution. It
was a moral code to live by. Now today because of our freedom to have our own opinions as citizens
we have quickly formed different parties. There are two main parties which are Democrat and
Republican. Each of these parties has different views and where they stand on healthcare, national
defense/security, and economy. Healthcare is a fundamental right that I believe every citizen of the
United States should receive regardless of social class. Democrats, Republicans, and Libertarians view
healthcare differently. Republican views health care to be a lot of money. The health care they want

Republicans look at national defense as a strong and comprehensive system. Republican view that
strengthening the military will build a safer environment and a stable defense system for this country.
Republicans believe that raising the defense budget is the only way to restore the health of a defense
industry weakened by a combination of neglect and misguided policies (Republican Views.org). On
the other hand, Democrats are focused on strengthening our defense system. Providing our military
with new and improved weapons in our to complete missions successfully and come home safely to
their families. We have increased funding for counterintelligence activities and human intelligence
collection; enhanced cybersecurity efforts; and bolstered aviation, port, and border security
(Democratic Whip). Libertarians support the maintenance of a sufficient military to support our
country against any violence. The United States should both avoid entangling alliances and abandon
its attempts to act as policeman for the world. We oppose any form of compulsory national service
(Libertarian Party). The Libertarians are against any form of national

St. John s Case Study
In 1939, the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth start raising money to build a new hospital (Hospital
Wall/Baker 23). When the ground broke in 1941, it would only take until 1942 for the St. John s
Hospital to be complete (Hospital Wall). Today, St. John s Hospital still stands in Santa Monica, just
celebrating it s 40th year of leadership and philanthropic support (Baker 23). With the mission

Non-Septic Bursitis Case Study
This is a 70 year old female who denies PMHx of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout and STI s
presenting with pain and edema in the posterior left elbow for 2 weeks. Physical exam revealed a
mildly tender, fluctuant mass on the posterior elbow consistent with non septic olecranon bursitis.
There were no signs of septic bursitis such as fever, erythema, warmth or purulent drainage. The
patient had normal sensation, muscle tone, full range of motion and 5/5 strength in the elbows
bilaterally. Physical exam of the left shoulder and wrist were unremarkable. The patient initially
elected for PRICE (protection, rest, ice, elevation). Specifically, the patient was instructed to protect

Common signs of infection are not always accurate in distinguishing these two types but two
parameters, bursal warmth and fever are highly specific for septic bursitis.2 Moreover, bursal fluid
should be aspirated and analyzed for white cell count, fluid to serum glucose ratio,
polymorphonucleocytes, gram stain and culture and presence of crytals.2 These tests seem useful if a
specific etiology such as rheumatoid arthritis or gout is suspected. If the patient was showing signs of
infection such as fever, redness and warmth at the site and purulent bursal aspirate, a CBC with
differential should be ordered and aspirated bursa fluid should be analyzed. To help identify
rheumatoid arthritis an erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C reactive protein and Rheumatoid factor
should be tested.1 In addition, if gout was suspected a uric acid level and the bursal aspirate should be
tested for crystals. However, there were no signs of either septic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or gout
in this patient so these tests were not considered necessary. Plain X rays of the elbow would have been
useful if there was known injury to rule out

Doctor Of Osteopathy Degree
I aim to pursue a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine. But the question that may arise is why this school? Why choose to pursue a D.O. degree
instead of an M.D. degree? I prefer to study for the former, as it teaches students to treat a patient as a
whole person, rather than isolate a particular area and treat that alone. It teaches to take into account
all factors, all bodily systems, into one, when looking at a patient. I personally believe that is a key
when it comes to diagnosis and treatment. Having been established one hundred and ten years ago,
PCOM is one of the finest institutions of its kind, educating osteopathic physicians and specialists.

Conditional Probability In Patients
What the patient and the physician really want to know in this context is the reverse conditional
probability. Conditional on having survived with no evidence of further disease progression for some
given period of time elapsed since undergoing a potentially curative intervention how likely is it that
the intervention was successful and that the patient really was cured? From a Bayesian analysis
individually tailored posterior cure probability curves may be constructed. They are a function of time
elapsed since undergoing a potentially curative treatment without evidence of further disease
progression. The likelihood of cure increases monotonically with elapsed time. For a while following
a medical intervention possessing curative potential a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unless or until some event occurs providing indisputable evidence of further disease progression the
cure curve remains relevant. It can provide a basis for both patient management and personal life
planning choices. Perhaps equally important, at least from the patient s perspective, a curve that
continually rises over time depicts a hopeful and optimistic future, rather than the depressing future
depicted by an always declining survival curve. If and when the disease reemerges, but only then must
the patient and the physician abandon the cure curve and substitute the patient s individually tailored
survival curve. Regrettably, the survival curve has just become

Net Neutrality, or the Separation Between Internet Service...
Scott Cleland from Net Competition said that net neutrality legislations mean less privacy for all
Americans, as Net neutrality would require more government monitoring and surveillance of Internet
traffic (qtd. from Net Neutrality ). But what is he talking about anyway? Net neutrality, or the
separation between internet service providers (ISP s) and the content being retrieved through their
networks, is an extremely hot topic nowadays. The ideals of net neutrality can be compared to the way
you would use electricity in your home. You do not pay your power company a toaster fee just so you
can plug in your toaster, or a light bulb fee just so you can turn on your lights (Gordon; Ammori).
Similarly, net neutrality states that ISP s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

procedures to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of personal information the operator
collects and maintains (New Jersey). While the government does have the ability to monitor network
connections, those connections will stay confidential and secure. There will be no loss of privacy,
despite Cleland s conclusion of the opposite. Another consideration that should be made is our right to
free speech. Larry Pratt, director of Gun Owners of America, said that the Brady Campaign (an anti
gun violence group) and Gun Owners of America should have the same fair use of the internet
highway , and that if we want to buy 100 units of internet broadband capability, that should be the
same price to us as somebody else... [we should] be able to get our message out regardless of what
[ISP s] may or may not like ( Moyers ). Without net neutrality, if a certain ISP does not agree with the
beliefs of Gun Owners of America, they could discriminate against the group by slowing down the

The good results obtained with the epoxy crosslinked enzymes encourages us to make a step forward

CLEAs of being directly removed from the reaction medium with a magnet avoiding centrifugation
steps. The procedure was the same as the CLEAs but including amino derivatized magnetic particles

selected for this assays were ammonium sulfate as it works for the normal CLEAs and a 50 % PEG

Cloning Essay
Cloning
Cloning is an unethical action that should not be tampered with physically in any animal form
regardless of what it is. This is a genetically engineered process by humans, in which, perfectly
generated genes from someone or something is copied into its own life form to be an exact replica. In
the article Calves cloned to produce drugs there are two cows involved with cloning. People should
not be tampering with this, but letting God create people and animals the way he has it planned out to
be. Not to mention, no two or more life forms should ever be exactly alike with the exact same genes
(except for plants who are that way anyhow). With this happening to animals now and evolving
toward humans, it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No one should ever try and alter genes to any animal coming into this world, therefore in this news
article, the cows should have never been cloned. In an article in Time magazine, Richard Seed (a well
educated man that graduated from Harvard)
Page 2 wanted to start up a commercial cloning clinic. As soon as that was released to public,
President Clinton blasted the idea as untested and unsafe and morally unacceptable (Nash 58). People
around the country reacted nervous and uneasy. This was an example of one person that has the desire
and knowledge to do such a thing as this. If we don t stop him now, then there will be many more
doctors who will follow and set up this idea of cloning around the world. Then the next thing you
know, there will be hundreds of people identical and healthy everywhere. There is nothing wrong with
the people being healthy, but not becoming that way from cloning. Being healthy should be our job as
humans to keep up with our own body. As the article continued, Seed posed his whole idea of opening
the clinic from his interest in biomedicine and discovered a technique for transferring embryos in
cattle (58). This is a whole new idea that cloning of animals can lead to cloning of our human race.
Seed began his work with embryos in cattle and now he has expanded his idea to form a human
cloning clinic. These are the kind of people that are going to want to go further in the cloning of

70.
There are a few reasons why this view struggles to adequately explain the prophecy of the seventy
weeks. The actual time span of the week varies between the time periods. If God was trying to reveal
anything to Daniel about when these things would take place than a good assumption would be that
the weeks would be similar in scope of time. Another issue that would have to be addressed by
proponents of this view is how the first advent of Christ solves everything that is to take place in verse
24 of Daniel 9. The last thing that needs to be answered is why does the destruction of Jerusalem take
place before the sixty nine weeks if it is clearly lined out in the prophecy to be after the sixty nine
weeks? (verse 26)
The Covenantal View
The covenantal view is a view that also holds that the time periods are symbolic. This view also
begins at the decree given by Cyrus in Ezra 1 after the 70 year captivity around 538 B.C. It has sixty
nine weeks from that date leading up to the death of Christ around 33 A.D. at which point the
seventieth week kicks off and continues until the apocalypse. This view has serious issues with the
periods of time not being equal. The last week for instance has lasted for the previous 2000 years and
is continuing through the present time. The sixty nine weeks from the decree of Cyrus to the death of
Christ equal about eight years per week. The strength of this view is that it is trying to

Romanticism In Sense And Sensibility
In the eighteenth century, reason and emotion no longer worked together. Emotion was kept down and
was considered inferior. Social conventions were more important than individual convictions. In other
words people considered form more significant than content. As regard art, this period was called
Classical period. The opposite of this was slowly being prepared to burst out at the time of the French
Revolution. This period was called Romantic.
What Romanticism tried to do was stir all the way through the Age of Reason so in this case man and
nature became fused through participation in the one mighty being , so that the most elemental natural
objects became humanised . The term of sensibility emerged as a concept in the Enlightenment Era
but continued to be defined during the Romantic period and beyond. This new concept describes
people s capacity to be affected by the world around them. It also directly correlates their emotional
capabilities with their moral development. A high moral standard should result in an appropriate
emotional response. What was considered appropriate was different for men and women, however.
People thought that sensibility led ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Executive Summary
Introduction
In the paper, the researcher learned about the poor integration system that was created by the
consulted. In order to improve the system there were certain things that had to be enhanced such as the
security within four main department of the campus, so it was necessary to find the best way to reduce
the WAN, include a VLAN structure and reduce broadcast traffic.
Methodology
An IP addressing table that includes routes for Denver and Houston was created to update the router
and link addresses. A multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) will be used to enhance the security and
the label within so that it can make the decision regarding the best option to transfer data from
downstream to upstream. A public client network citizenship will also be linked with the WAN reduce
unwanted network traffic. A VLAN structure will also be implemented to enhance the security.
Results
After the implementation the new structure. The routing protocol for the router can speech a language
that they can understand to transfer data across links. The public client network citizenship (GPO) will
reduce redundant links. The new IP addresses gives the computer the ability to communicate
anywhere in remote location.
Implications
There are enough IP addresses available for growth. A min. of 20% growth is available with the
network. If they need more IP address they will have to go

The Theme Of Herman Melville sBartleby, The Scrivener
Herman Melville s short story Bartleby, the Scrivener reveals different themes such as isolation and
human morality test. In the story, the narrator runs a law firm and has a new Scrivener [Bartleby] who
the narrator describes as the strangest I ever saw or heard of (661). For the first few days, Bartleby is
seen to be working fine, however, one day Bartleby just responds with I would prefer not to when
anyone assigns a task to Bartleby (674). The real problems start to arise when Bartleby sleeps and eats
at the office while denying to work or leave. The narrator illustrates the two main themes of human
morals and isolation throughout the story with the use of biblical references to Bartleby as a leper and

Bartleby s account] and tell him his services are not necessary (674).The lawyer throws money at
Bartleby instead of handing it to him in his hands. The lawyer is trying to get rid of Bartleby to let the
law firm make money. Melville portrays a constant war of conscience in the lawyer s mind regarding
Bartleby s actions and the lawyer s reactions. The lawyer goes to church regularly yet does not show
the Christian beliefs and ethics. As the story progresses, the lawyer decides to leave the current office
and shift to another office in hopes that Bartleby will not follow the company. Bartleby remains at the
office and does not move however the new employees find Bartleby s old employer. The new
employees ask whether the lawyer knows Bartleby. The lawyer responds by I certainly cannot inform
you. I know nothing about him (682). The fact that the lawyer straight up denies knowing anyone
named Bartleby is a biblical reference to Christ being denied by Peter (Zlogar 525). The lawyer denies
knowing Bartleby to avoid any issues that could affect the law firm. On the other hand, Peter denies
knowing Christ to avoid any punishments from Christ. Zlogar implicates that Bartleby initially comes
to the narrator as the leper comes to Christ (Zlogar 511). The

  • 2. Research Based Proposal Research Based Proposal Essay The developed world deprives children of a basic and inalienable right: unstructured outdoor play. Children today have substantially less access to nature, less free range, and less time for independent play than previous generations had. This quote is from the research based paper titled, Where the Wild Things Should Be: Healing Nature Deficit Disorder through the Schoolyard. This article touches many aspects of how children now a days need more exposure to nature like it was on the older days. Currently, there are many playgrounds around the United States and even more the world. Although there is arguments that playgrounds can be made too safe where they are no fun are made, for the sake of the argument I will focus on the side that wants them really safe. This side of the arguments believes that all schoolyards need to have rules such as to, Avoid playgrounds with non impact absorbing surfaces, such as asphalt, concrete, grass, dirt or gravel. Recommended surface materials include: sand, pea gravel, wood chips, mulch and shredded rubber. Rubber mats, synthetic turf and other artificial materials are also safe surfaces and require less maintenance. Surfacing should be at least 12 inches deep and extend at least 6 feet in all directions around stationary equipment. Depending on the height of the equipment, surfacing may need to extend farther than 6 feet. For swings, make sure that the surfacing extends, in the back and front, twice the height of the suspending bar. So if the top of the swing set is 10 feet high, the surfacing should extend 20 feet. Along with all the regulations and rules, they would hop to also have it well supervised and inspected. They say that qualified personal need to constantly be checking up on the schoolyards and maintaining them. • 3. The Role Of Racism And Discrimination In The United States As an individual with unique life experiences, It s easy to dismiss the societally constructed struggles of other individuals. The popular phrase for this phenomena is Out of sight=Out of mind . It s understandable to not immediately accept the struggles of others when they are struggles in which you have never experienced before. Those sins can be forgiven. However, what is not forgivable is the refusal to educate oneself to better understand those struggles and fundamentally accept that other individuals are negatively affected by these unfamiliar experiences. Specifically, the black community within the United States, who receive a very different experience than the white community. Racism and discrimination are still a very large part ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The political and economic consequences of racial discrimination have most certainly had an imbalanced benefit for white communities. However, these benefits are accepted as the standard for which these communities should be and have been in a sense of status quo. This refusal to accept the societal discrimination had often been referred to as color blindness. Color blindness can be defined as the refusal to acknowledge the struggle of non white s by using the success of a few no white individuals as an example of a fading social racism. A example of this which is often used, is the election of President Barack Obama (López, 2004). Through the national election of a categorized black president, many have felt that this is an example of a race free society. This community who believe this are often uneducated to contemporary societal structure of our country, or have personal agenda s in which they feel the need to mask with bold statements. • 4. Similarities Between Witchcraft, Wicca, And Paganism Introduction The terms Witchcraft, Wicca, and Paganism are often used interchangeably. However, the terms have very different meanings and each term has a complex history. First, I will discuss each terms brief history and then their definitions. Finally, at the end, I will sum up my conclusions concerning the terms similarities and differences. Witchcraft The history of Witchcraft is difficult to trace because it remained a hidden practice for most of its early history. Several of the scholars I researched argued that Witchcraft never existed and was just the product of creative imaginations. However, noted religious scholar, Mircea Eliade, argues that evidence suggests that Witchcraft was a very ancient practice. Standard dictionary definitions define Witches as people who practice magick. However, the definition of the word Witch has evolved over many centuries. For example, the Anglo Saxon word Wicca or Wicce simply refers to a male or female seer or person who can find out information by using majick. (1) In addition, both Wyeh in Saxon and Wicce in Old English means to bend, turn or shape. (1) And finally, the Germanic root wit means ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, the term evolved as societies grew and changed. Today, the term in its broadest, meaning is someone who follows a religious path which is polytheistic. Why Abortion Should Stop The Abortion Why Abortion Should stopped For everyone an abortion is defined as the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus from a female, in order to end a pregnancy (Webster, Merriam). Abortions are wrong because one cannot create life; therefore a person should not be able to terminate a life before it actually starts. Depending on the situation people may feel that abortions are justifiable. Due to a person being too young, or just simply unprepared. I feel that either way that it is murder. We wouldn t accept a serial killer roam the streets as if nothing happened. In this argument it is the same thing. (The book of exodus 20:1 7) clearly states thou shall not kill. You can t avoid that in any form or fashion (exodus 20:1 7). Every human being has a right to life even if they are not born, yet there are no rules to stop this crime. I feel that abortions should be illegal anywhere on this planet. I searched up some facts about how abortions can hurt you in The killing of an human was doing no wrong is a horrible act, even if that human being has yet to be born. Unborn babies are considered human or soon to be humans by the government and people who actually cares about humans. • 9. Salt Marshes And Salt Marshes Apparently, marshes are often imagined incorrectly. To some people, they might confuse a marsh to a swamp or to a wetland. Although relative, marshes are only a kind of wetland, which is land where the water level is close to the soil surface or covers the surface for at least part of the year. Marshes, specifically salt marshes, are lush, intertidal grasslands renowned for their productivity (Silliman 2014). Simply, a salt marsh is a coastal ecosystem of grasses characterized by poorly drained mineral soils due to regular flooding of salt water brought in by ocean tides. Since salt marshes serve as estuaries between the land and ocean, people do not realize an important role they play in protection; these coastal marshes are presumed to protect human communities from coastal hazards, such as storms and hurricanes, by providing important ecosystem services. One very important ecosystem service is their role as a buffer in protecting coastlines (Shepard et al. 2011). As humans fail to appreciate and protect these marshes, their continuous impacts on coastal infrastructure would not only negatively impact humans but to the life on the salt marshes as well. Salt marshes are found in the temporal zone on protected shorelines throughout the world and are stressful environments due to their intertidal behaviors. As a result, plants and animals living in salt marshes must have adaptations to deal with the harsh physical stressors, ranging from high salt concentrations, intense heat, and low oxygen in waterlogged soils (Sulliman 2014). Nevertheless, there is a positive trade off: although plants and animals have to overcome these physical obstacles, they get access to abundant resources, protection from predators, and a high potential for both them and their offspring in return. An example of this trade off is investigated with a fish, a mummichog Fundulus heteroclitus, a resident of intertidal salt marshes on the east coast of North America. The study suggests that mummichogs have the ability to alter their habitat use accordingly to environmental factors, such as heat stress and oxygen depletion, to create a predation refuge habitat, which would then allow high growth rates (Halpin 2000). Due to the stressful ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Descriptive Essay About Yi Li I came into the world, one fall windy night, on September 7, 2000, exactly 4 minutes behind my twin sister. At 12:04 in the morning, when the roads were quiet except for the cries of the new born babies at Brooklyn, New York hospital, I was born. My parents told me that my hand, not my head, came out first. The reason behind this was because I was clinging to Yi Wen s leg with a firm grip and refused to let go. Perhaps I didn t want to come out or I wasn t happy with being second to come out because immediately after I was born, I cried and cried, and thrashed around with such force that my parents decide to named me Yi Ling. My name, Yi Ling Ni, represents me fairly well in some ways of my life, but as I grew up, I found myself pondering; why was I named this name? My name was chosen before I was born. Knowing that we were twin girls, my parents thought of names that would fit for twins. After consulting with my grandparents, known to be very wise when it came to Chinese characters and poetry; the names Yi Wen and Yi Ling were chosen. The Ling in my name is a Chinese character that represents one who is full of spirit, energy, and thinks very logically. So when my parents saw me as the energetic child, they named me Yi Ling. However, salaries of professional athletes and every day, essential careers, such as teachers, nurse, and police officers, can become an even bigger controversy because we don t understand why athletes deserve to be paid that much, or we think us, as everyday workers, deserve to get paid more for what we do. There are some valid reasons that contribute to professional athlete s high pay, and our average pay. This has always been an interesting line of inquiry for me because I never understood why playing a sport could make you so famous and rich, but the salary for saving lives didn t even compare. I remember multiple occasions where my dad and I were watching sports, and we landed on the topic of why professional athletes get paid so much. To no surprise, these conversations always ended in frustration for both of us and each of asking, what makes professional athletes so much more important that the rest of us? It is no secret professional athletes have a higher pay than most these days, but how much more? According to Chris Mueller, a sports columnist, the average Chicago Bear s football player made two million dollars in 2011, and the highest paid doctor was paid close to $500,000 (Mueller). This can cause much controversy due to the difference in preparation for the careers. To become a doctor, it takes many more years of education and much more debt. The average medical ... Our aim is to conduct a classroom lesson with a practical element to a selected syndicate along with lunch orders for the entire school. Our aim is to teach the students about healthy lifestyles, and how you don t have to be strict and treat your body badly to be healthy. By doing this we also hope to educate kids early about the risks of obesity on all aspects of their lifestyle. It benefits the students as they come out with a bit more knowledge on these problems which affect our youth. The kids will come out aware of healthy and unhealthy food choices and how it is negative overall, with no benefits. • 22. Leadership Is A Key Factor Essay Leadership means the ability of a superior to influence the behaviour of subordinates and persuade them to follow a particular course of action (Barnard, 1938)Effective leadership is a key factor in the life and success of an organisation. There are many theories of leadership have been proposed like Great man theory, trait theory , The managerial grid and Theory X and Theory Y as it s a part of behaviour theory and Participative theory. There are many traits and skill of person which makes normal person to leader. There are honesty, passion, respect, clarity, emotional stability etc. From them we just now concentrate on these five qualities. There are, 1. Vision Vision is more important than your leadership skill as without this skill team cannot go anywhere like this skill is a heart of leadership (Small Business, 2012). Vision can have power in that leader can see the future state in present and built a road to arrive at stated future goal (Kohut, 2013).With clear vision leader can make plan to get involved in the activity to achieve the goal in defined time. There is confidence in each action which has vision in behind (Richter). Finally it is like how organisation looks like after some time or may be at which stage it will be in near future (Richter). It provides the execution idea and also motivation. 2. Tolerant to stress Each person has optimal level of stress that they actually enjoy. It makes work exiting and engaging. Scott Cleland from Net Competition said that net neutrality legislations mean less privacy for all Americans, as Net neutrality would require more government monitoring and surveillance of Internet traffic (qtd. from Net Neutrality ). But what is he talking about anyway? Net neutrality, or the separation between internet service providers (ISP s) and the content being retrieved through their networks, is an extremely hot topic nowadays. The ideals of net neutrality can be compared to the way you would use electricity in your home. As soon as that was released to public, President Clinton blasted the idea as untested and unsafe and morally unacceptable (Nash 58). People around the country reacted nervous and uneasy. Then the next thing you know, there will be hundreds of people identical and healthy everywhere. There is nothing wrong with the people being healthy, but not becoming that way from cloning. Being healthy should be our job as humans to keep up with our own body. As the article continued, Seed posed his whole idea of opening the clinic from his interest in biomedicine and discovered a technique for transferring embryos in cattle (58). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 70. There are a few reasons why this view struggles to adequately explain the prophecy of the seventy weeks. The actual time span of the week varies between the time periods. If God was trying to reveal anything to Daniel about when these things would take place than a good assumption would be that the weeks would be similar in scope of time. Another issue that would have to be addressed by proponents of this view is how the first advent of Christ solves everything that is to take place in verse 24 of Daniel 9. The last thing that needs to be answered is why does the destruction of Jerusalem take place before the sixty nine weeks if it is clearly lined out in the prophecy to be after the sixty nine weeks? (verse 26) The Covenantal View The covenantal view is a view that also holds that the time periods are symbolic. This view also begins at the decree given by Cyrus in Ezra 1 after the 70 year captivity around 538 B.C. It has sixty nine weeks from that date leading up to the death of Christ around 33 A.D. at which point the seventieth week kicks off and continues until the apocalypse. This view has serious issues with the periods of time not being equal. The last week for instance has lasted for the previous 2000 years and is continuing through the present time. The sixty nine weeks from the decree of Cyrus to the death of Christ equal about eight years per week. The strength of this view is that it is trying to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The term of sensibility emerged as a concept in the Enlightenment Era but continued to be defined during the Romantic period and beyond.
