Abstract
There is no way to tell of the thousands of people that have been executed, which were innocent.
Since 1973 more than 150 people have been released from prison with evidence of innocence. Studies
have shown that the death penalty has zero to no effect on violent crimes, and it is an amazing waste
of taxpaying money. They were wrongfully imprisoned due to mistaken eyewitness testimony, faulty
forensic science, and false confession as a result of wrongdoing by the police and finally racial biased.
That was just a minimal list of reasons a case could go wrong. There are many reasons why someone
would be against the death penalty. For example, there are strong religious beliefs that one might have,
the death penalty is and expression of the absolute power of the state. As of October 2015 there have
been over 1,414 individuals in this country alone lethally executed. In the issue of the death penalty it
all goes back to whether the death penalty deters future crime. I feel that one solution to this issue
would be to get rid of the death penalty altogether.

This will be an over view of ethics as it relates to business in our society. Concepts from Philosophy
will seek to describe the correlation between actions that are classified as morally right or ethical in
our dealings with each other as human beings. Clear and concise examples will be given as well as
ways in which to improve upon business ethics.
Can business thrive by profit alone? Barry (2000) described Milton Friedman s short essay, in the
1970 s, as extremely controversial, in which he denied that corporate executives had any moral duty to
relax the conditions of profit maximization on behalf of the wider interests of society. This example of
the bottom line of business has been demonstrated within the past couple of decades by publicly
criticized companies, for fraudulent activities, such as, Enron, WorldCom, and HealthSouth along with
many others. These company executives were willing to sacrifice the vast majority and greater good of
society for profit gains. This mindset left many of loyal investors, consumers and employees without a

Capsaicin contains amounts of antimicrobial properties varying from pepper to pepper. In this
experiment, the bacteria, Serratia, was used to test the strength of different solutions containing
capsaicin using jalapeno seeds mixed with water, ethanol, or both, and compared with a control
without the seeds. The zones of inhibition were then measured after one week to compare the reaction
between each solution to the bacteria.

When the word vacation is mentioned, everyone instantly thinks of a great time. There are no classes,
no work, no chores, and most importantly, no worries. However, this isn t always the case, especially
with my family. We decided to set out on an adventure to Virginia Beach this past April. The events
that took place were benign but, the trip itself was a little bit of a struggle due to the chain of
unpredictable events. The vacation started with us deciding to pack the rental car up the night before

In this experiment, my group designed our own experiment in which we explored anaerobic
respiration using yeast by measuring the rate of fermentation and examining the amount of carbon
dioxide produced by active yeast. We did this by obtaining one mole of sucrose, glucose, and fructose
and testing their effects they had on fermentation in a water and yeast mixture. Fermentation is more
often referred to as anaerobic respiration, which takes place in the absence of oxygen, and yeasts are
single celled fungi, often used in commercial bread and alcoholic beverage production. Anaerobic
respiration is helpful to the body because it helps produce lactic acid in the muscles when exercising,
and stops your body from overworking itself. During alcoholic fermentation, cells break down glucose
to form ethanol and carbon dioxide, as well as two ATP molecules. I hypothesized that if the same
amount of glucose, sucrose, and fructose are added to a solution, then the rate of fermentation will
increase, varying among the sugars. My null hypothesis stated if the same amount of sucrose, glucose,
and fructose is added to the solution, then no reaction will occur. To start our experiment, we created
our control that was filled with water heated to sixty degrees Fahrenheit, then added a yeast packet to

King burger. This supports their idea of having bigger burgers compared to their competition. But the
picture is much more than just that. If you continue to look closely, there is a hidden message in the
