Broad definitions see it as creating a borderless world, while narrow definitions focus on specific economic, political or social processes like international production or migration. Recent definitions describe it as multidirectional flows between people and places that both facilitate and create barriers to movement. The best way to understand globalization is to appreciate that different perspectives shape how it is defined and that it is an ongoing debate rather than a single agreed upon concept.

be limiting

movements from south to north, the new competitive

More recent definition: "globalization is a
transplanetary process or a set of processes involving
increasing liquidity and the growing multidirectional
flows of people, objects, places, and information as
well as the structures they encounter and create that
