The bride is being taken by palanquin to her new home after her wedding amid heavy rain. She is unfamiliar with her new family and afraid, as the procession struggles to cross a swollen river by ferry before nightfall. As the river rises further in the storm, the wedding party must hurry to board the ferry with the bride's dowry items. However, in the fierce flooding and currents, tragedy strikes as family members and belongings are swept away by the uncontrollable river.
